For hiking: Take the metro number 1 to the end stop Frognerseteren, and you are in the middle of the forest. Follow signs to Ullvålseter/Sognsvann (about 10 kilometeres), stop at Ullvålseter for a coffe/cake, and take the metro back from Sognsvann. Or just go for a walk in the area.

Take the metro from our house to the skijump Holmenkollen. Inside there is a Ski museum. There is also a skijump simulator - very exiting!
