Go here for brunch: get the Sweet Potato Pancakes, dusted with confectionary sugar and a side of eggs and bacon; add some freshly squeezed juice and you're set. Log on to the free wi-fi or enjoy a bottomless mimosa.

If you're going to go for a Happy Hour and don't want to break the bank, check out this winery in SE at Navy Yard. Get the "flight" of sample wines, the onion toast (trust me) and the brussel sprouts aka "crack greens".

Getting Around

Yellow and Blue Line are great. For a quick ride into Chinatown, hit the Yellow Line. Looking to go closer to 14th street, catch the Blue line. Mount Vernon Square/D.C. Convention Center, hop on the yellow and be dropped off directly under the convention center. NOTE: The metro closes by midnight on the weekends unless the District extends it's hours. Be aware of closing times and get there approx. 30 minutes before closing.
