Getting around
My place is a short Uber/Lyft ride from the big attrations.
The public transit system isn't the same as Chicago or New York, but it is available. The DART runs from DFW airport to Dallas. The Trinity Rail (TRE) runs from downtown Dallas to Fort Worth. There is a stop 2 mi from my house. My best recommendation is to rent a car.

People are polite here
Please, thank-you, Ma'am and Sir are commonly heard here. I come from Chicago originally, and it was funny to me how polite folks in my newly adopted town treated one another.
