Shopping

A lovely place to visit both to try the perfumes but also just to see the location, enjoy the herb garden and treat yourself to some delicious refreshment in their excellent cafe. They also have a short film about the Burren which includes pictures of some of the rare flowers that you may not see if it's the wrong time of year.

Kinvara Market is a small but vibrant farmers market held from 10-2 on Fridays from Spring to Autumn. Our local vegetable farmer Annie Nolan is also there all year round for high quality seasonal vegetables. Otherwise the town a number of small shops and two well stocked small supermarkets (Londis and Fallons Costcutter). The town has a number of good pubs as well as local restaurants, and there is usually music being played somewhere during the summer.

Food Scene

Great little local eatery by the water at New Quay. Shellfish plus other non fishy things. Can be very peaceful off season or during the day but the evenings can get full so it's always worth booking first as it's very popular. 0657078120.

Newly re-opened very famous seafood pub, at last living up to its former reputation. Delicious mussels, crab, chowder etc plus a meat option for non fish eaters.

Great pub with a great atmosphere and lovely Guinness. Does 'Irish' food - beef and guinness stew, bacon and cabbage etc - for a good price in a nice atmosphere. The barn next door has set dancing on Thursdays and Sundays.
