Traveler advice
Getting around
Walk around! Bike around!
Most of the time, subways will be more efficient than taxis.
Most of the time, biking will be more efficient and more enjoyable than the subway :) Make good use of shared bikes (Vélib) and you'll see more of Paris.
A lot of places of interest are within walking distance of the apartment – République, Belleville, Buttes-Chaumont, Canal Saint-Martin, Père Lachaise. The city is relatively small, and extremely dense, you'll always find something interesting on your way.
Don't miss
Parks! Buttes-Chaumont & Belleville
Don't miss those two parks, that are both within walking distance of the apartment.
Buttes-Chaumont is one of the most beautiful parks in Paris, period. There's a very nice café/bar inside the park called Rosa Bonheur.
Parc de Belleville is a nice way to go up and down the Belleville hill. It harbors one of the most beautiful view of Paris – Eiffel Tower included.
