Drinks & Nightlife

Jimbo used to work at SALT, and is known to still sometimes find himself behind the bar down there. Chef Darren is always putting out delicious creations of both land and sea. Jimbo's Favorite: Gyro Sandwich with a side Cesar Salad, and a cold beer. Mary's Favorite: Raw bar, both clams and oysters (extra vinegar please!) and a jalepeno margarita.

Food Scene

Commander's is a Shelter Island gem, a true locals spot. If you're headed here expect to spend some time to get to know Commander and his daughter Amanda. They will cook you some of the best fried chicken or fried shrimp you've ever had. ADDED BONUS: Cody's is BYOB, so pick up a six pack, or a bottle of wine, and enjoy a traditional Shelter Island evening.
