If you are making a trek North to June Lake (just about 40 minutes) or on your way to Mono Lake and the Eastern entrance to Yosemite, this is worth the stop! Only beers sold on the inside - but stop by the amazing Asian Fusion food truck, Ohana's 395 on the outside for some Poke Nachos that they will deliver inside the brewery. Pool table and board games so you can bring the kids if they want to have a root beer.

There are two primary trails that leave from the parking area and connect to the summit rims of the three volcanic craters. The parking area, located 3 miles north of the Mammoth Scenic Loop on a graded dirt road through old-growth Jeffrey pine forest, includes a restroom and interpretive information. The craters were formed by a series of small but violent steam-blast eruptions about six hundred years ago. The two southernmost craters are approximately 200 feet deep and contain small lakes. Views stretch from San Joaquin Ridge to the Mono Craters to the White Mountains. Access in winter is by snowshoes, skis or snowmobile.
