Rhinelander is 43 miles from the Lake House. There is lots of shopping and eating establishments. Ditch the same old same old and dine at one of Rhinelander's Authentic establishments. Minocqua Winter Park is for the winter enthusiasts. It is only 14 miles from the Lake house. They have over 46 miles of snowshoeing and cross country skiing trails. There is a pond for ice skating and a tubing hill that has a 70' vertical drop and 400' of sliding on Squirrel Hill with our lift-assisted snow tubing run, visible from the big picture windows of the chalet. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or a bite to eat while sitting in by the big fireplace. They have ski rentals and an instructor.
