It only takes a 30 minute walk around Queenstown to discover that it is full of fabulous places to eat from fine dining to casual cafes. There are lunch and dinner specials to take advantage of as well as looking on line at "First Table" and "Book Me" for various discounted dining deals on offer. You simply have an amazing choice of Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner options. Make sure you opt for either a Mrs Ferg Ice Cream or Patagonia Ice Cream for a desert which is definitely worth the calorie intake. One can't go past trying a Ferg Burger and Ferg Bakery in Shotover Street. It's always busy but worth the wait. Maybe a breakfast or brunch Burger would be less of a wait. Also if you want to go all out then book a table at Amisfield Winery & Bistro. This Cellar Door establishment at Lakes Hayes has a range of 3 to 7 course Trust the Chef tasting experiences with matching wines. The choice of $ to $$$$ is everywhere you look.

A quaint township with great food....during the day look for the historical Chinese Miners Huts, it's only a 15 mintues stroll along the river bank but really enjoyable. If you go there after 5pm there is a wine bar called Blue Door with an open fire place and fantastic ambience. Also has a cute Cinema.
