My favourite eating places

The closest pub just so happens to have won numerous awards. It has a warm inviting atmosphere with an interesting menu that uses local fresh produce and a daily fish menu. Open for lunch and evening meals and also Afternoon Tea in the summer. There is also a pretty garden for outdoor eating. Please book in advance as it gets extremely popular in the summer and at weekends. Dog's and children welcome.

In the neighbouring village of Bosherston enjoy a tasty meal in the traditional St Govan’s Inn -  mentioned in the Good Food Guide and winner of a CAMRA ale award.

It is well worth a day exploring the delights of the South Manorbier, it is a stunning beach with 3 chimney stacks of rock in the cliffs. Have a trip down and see if you can find them! With the tide out it is the most photographed beach in the west. Overlooking the beach is the magnificent Manorbier Castle.

Tenby has stretches of golden sand along its 5 Blue Flag beaches as well as a picturesque harbour from which boat trips sail to Caldey Island. Tenby and it's beaches get incredibly busy in the summer.

My favourite castles

The magnificent medieval Castle (birthplace of Henry VII) with its mill pond and moat, hosts regular events such as historic enactments, falconry displays and music festivals. Opposite the Castle, across the moat, is the Cornstore, a furniture and gift store with a small cafe. (please ignore automated image that airbnb provide - it's terrible!)

Carew Castle on the Cleddau Estuary, with its Celtic Cross, restored working tidal mill and interesting links to the court of Elizabeth I, which hosts a range of events for the family throughout the season. Carew Inn is a family friendly pub serving good food and real ales.
