The Junction is a park where the Goobagandra creek meets the Tumut river. The water in the Goob is slow flowing and much warmer that the Tumut river and this makes the Junction a favourite place for a swim or a beginners kayak. Toilets and picnic tables are available to make your time more enjoyable.

Sightseeing

Just a short drive away, Adelong falls are a popular place for a picnic, swim and historical exploration of the area that was once a gold mining area. Walking paths will take you down to the creek where there are plenty of swimming holes to explore. The area also has a viewing platform and information boards to help you find out about the history of the area. The falls also has a covered picnic area and toilets available.

Food scene

For some of the best Thai food outside of Thailand head to Kinnaree Thai situated in the Commercial hotel. The boys will look after you with well priced, delicious cooking. They also do Aussie and kids meals if Thai food is not your thing. I recommend the Prawn Laksa or the Beef Massaman Curry.

Simply Wholesome sells organic foods but right next door is the best coffee in town. Bella an Co are open from 7 til 12ish Monday to Friday, and serve a wide range of drinks that will satisfy any coffee snob. Highly recommended!

Wheely good times!

The skate park and new pump track are great places for kids (and big kids) to test out their skills on wheels. Skate, scoot or ride around the pump track and burn off plenty of energy.

Hidden behind the golf course are some awesome mountain biking tracks. Built specifically for mountain bikers, you will find tracks that cater for all levels. Start of with the Creek Trail for beginners, or test yourself with a steep climb up to the GC mile or drop down onto the Blackberry Tunnel or Twisted Sister for some fun! The tracks are also great for a more relaxing bush walk or trail run if biking is not your thing.
