Only 5-10 min. walk from our house, a landscaped haven for all who seek a bit of exercise (hike up to the top of the falls), peace of mind; most inspirational to gardeners, painters, writers.

Straight shot from Southend Seattle to Puget Sound via I-5 or I-405 via W-509. When craving the aroma of salty water, the view of the Olympic mountains, a stroll along the waterfront, or hike through green belt, this is where we head. If in time, you can grab a picnic place with grill for a sunset dinner spot.

Arts & Culture

This is where Boeing began. Great for airplane buffs of all ages as well as regular passengers. Incorporated within the glass curtained walls of the exhibition space, you'll find the original wooden Boeing office with permanent installation showing the history of the company and of flight; amazingly touching. The nice cafe with view of Boeing Field can be entered without buying ticket to the museum. Easy parking in lot.

Shopping

There's no bad weather, only bad attire. It's easy to pick up some rain gear, or swim suits at Fairfield Mall or in downtown shops, but often you can find what you need at a local thrift store. And then there is the pleasure of traveling light. Drop of what you don't need and pick up what you can use.
