  • Have stayed here multiple times! Very impressed with all the extra precautions they have taken during this outbreak! Extra extra clean and sanitized including hot tub! I highly recommend this Airbnb!

We built the Tiny Guest House for friends and family and love sharing the space with people traveling to Bellingham. The studio is within walking distance of both WWU (1.0 mile) and downtown (0.8 miles). The Guest House is quite small (200sf), it has a queen bed in the loft and a full sized futon on the main floor. And no kitchen.
This small space (200sf) is great for an affordable, private stay in Bellingham. We offer a queen bed in the loft and a full sized futon couch/bed on the main floor. Therefore, the space can accommodate four, but is not ideal as the space is small. We do offer a fridge on the porch and a coffee pot, but there is NO kitchen. Guests should also be aware that the lofted bed has sturdy, ladderesque stairs. However, there is not a lot of head room in the loft and it can be difficult to navigate especially if you are elderly or disabled or exceptionally tall. If you are not comfortable with stairs we can certainly set up the futon or we recommend finding more suitable accommodations.
The best part of the neighborhood (York) is that it is in close proximity to everything. We are within walking distance to downtown Bellingham and Western campus (both are within a mile). There are also a couple neighborhood diners/pubs that are great places to unwind while enjoying Bellingham. Bellingham has also become a destination for craft beer with about 15 breweries and several tap houses--many are located less than a mile from the Guest House. You should also note that the neighborhood is well represented by University students who occasionally exhibit normal University student energy.
  • Great place to stay in Bellingham, super close to the downtown area and every you need. Chris and Amy provide a super cute place to stay with thoughtful touches!

Don’t worry if you forget or need anything , Chris and Amy have thought of it all. My daughter and I stayed while checking out the WWU campus, was perfect!! We would definitely stay again.

  • This was such a cute and cozy space! Chris and Amy were very thorough in their communication with me as far as the checkin process went. And they gave me some great recommendations of places to go in town. The bed was so comfy. And they keep the space very clean. ^_^

The Pleasant Bay Lookout is a small private room with a spectacular view, nestled in the trees. Guests share space in our family's home - where we live full time - for kitchen, bathroom, living room, hot tub, & other household amenities. We love welcoming guests to this tucked-away oasis of peace and beauty. Meeting accurate expectations is very important to us - we only accept requests from those with complete profiles who let us know they've read our entire listing description. Thank you!
The Pleasant Bay Lookout is nestled in a forest overlooking the Salish Sea. Its stunning beauty and simplicity have been showcased widely, including on Airbnb's Instagram, in local magazines and on many websites. The Lookout is simple: one room (121 square feet) with a comfortable recliner, a modern sofa that converts to a bed, a glass wall with a breathtaking view, and a deck to experience the sound of the sea, songbirds and sun, rain and shifting clouds firsthand. Given the small square footage, there is no sink or bathroom in the Lookout and the sofa bed takes up much of the space in the room when its open. As one guest said: "The space is small in footage but huge on character and coolness. The back wall is all glass. It leads out to a deck and offers a beautiful view of the woods and the bay. The view makes the whole room feel as big as the whole out of doors." We care about beauty, connection, real things, and the Lookout reflects that; much of its features were made by us or locally sourced. There is a branched tree from our property to hang your coat, a live edge coffee table made by Peter, and thoughtfully chosen art on the walls. In the main house - which you'll share with us, as we live there full time - you'll eat at a handcrafted breakfast bar, use Aimee's homemade soap in the shower, and perhaps enjoy a fire with wood from our property. Note that there is no bathroom in the Lookout - it's a 30 second walk to the bathroom in the house, which is open 24/7 for your use. The common trend for visitors to the Lookout is to arrive and cast off any plans they have: most seem to fall into the state described in Italian as "La Dolce Far Niente - The Sweetness of Doing Nothing." The main house is a 30 second walk from the Lookout. We live in the house, and are grateful to share it with Lookout guests from all over the world. Though fifty years old, it is comfortably modern, built on a forested bluff above a picturesque bay with a simple design and architecture that integrates with its surroundings. Most walls of the house are made of glass, making a moving painting with the flight of birds, trees dancing in the wind, moonlight and dappled sunlight - it truly is a feast for the senses. The sensory delight increases when you go outside the Lookout or house – the forest is alive with songbirds, shorebirds, raptors and peekaboo views. Raccoon and deer wander through, and Chuckanut Mountain trails and beaches are a short walk, bike ride, paddle or drive away. There are many options for nature excursions and adventures right outside our door. The Pleasant Bay Lookout is ideal for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers, and those who want simple accommodations in a beautiful natural setting. • Note that the Lookout and our home are nestled in the trees, but not built IN a tree like a typical treehouse. • Meeting accurate expectations is very important to us, so please let us know you've read our entire listing description and understand the arrangement between the Lookout and main house when you send a booking request. Thank you!
With Chuckanut Mountain behind us and the Salish Sea in front, hikers, bikers, and kayakers will find easy access to all three activities from the studio. The Interurban Trail is just up the road. Heading south on the Interurban you'll reach the trails, lakes and seashore of 2683-acre Larrabee State Park in five minutes; walking north, you can stroll or bike five miles to town if you'd like, all on a forested trail overlooking the sea. Launching a boat from a nearby area will bring you to a beautiful coastline, with Chuckanut Island as the gem of Chuckanut Bay. For years, our family has been the caretakers of this special place, owned by the Nature Conservancy. The world renowned beauty of Chuckanut Drive is moments away – enjoy it by bicycle or car. The quaint village-within-the-city of Fairhaven is 10 minutes and downtown Bellingham is 20 minutes by car (if you lack a vehicle, we're happy to carpool the short distance to town as we're able). The Skagit Valley is just 20 minutes south along Chuckanut Drive. Venturing east, you can reach the glorious mountains, rivers, and waterfalls of the North Cascades in just over an hour. Driving west, you can be on a ferry to the pristine San Juan islands in under an hour. If you'd like, you can touch a glacier and enjoy a picnic on a beach in the same day! The Chuckanut area and Bellingham region are an outdoor recreation and nature lovers' paradise. We're the Northwest epicenter for sea, mountain, lake, and river activities, as well as island hopping and visiting local farms of every variety (vineyards, vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy). If you'd prefer a more urban vacation, Bellingham has great markets, diverse shopping opportunities, varied restaurants and nightlife, great local breweries, and one of the most beautiful university campuses in Washington state. We're situated equidistant to Vancouver BC and Seattle, so big city attractions are just a 90 minute drive away.
  • A great place to stay with beautiful views all around! The lookout can't be beat and the location is great!

  • Aimee and Peter have a beautiful space! Such a nice weekend getaway. Peter gave us great local recommendations as well!

  • Having stayed in many Airbnb’s there is no place that has exceeded our expectations more than Peter and Aimee’s accommodations. Excellent communicators, beautiful home with an unparalleled view, and the most warm welcoming family who have an obvious passion for hosting. Stay more than one night if you can and extend your stay in Bellingham, you won’t regret it!

    Rebecca2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location

    Michael2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning, it’s truly the perfect escape, felt very comfortable and happy staying here. Would come again!

    Anthony2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Lookout is exactly as described: stylish, snug, and nestled amongst the trees. Aimee and Peter manage two accommodations, and while the other is much bigger, this one has the killer view. Both properties, as well as their own home, look like they were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. We stayed just one night (a little getaway from our kids). While retreating, we enjoyed lounging in the Lookout, eating dinner and playing card games in Aimee and Peter's dining room, and taking a dip in the hot tub under a canopy of trees after dark. We were totally relaxed and at home here. A few tips: - The hosts suggested bringing slip-on shoes for going between the Lookout and the main house. Do it. Since we arrived on foot for just the one night, we didn't bring any, and we regretted it. - We hiked to the Lookout from downtown Bellingham along the waterfront trail from Bellingham to Fairhaven (~60 minutes) and then via the Interurban trail through the Chuckanuts (~90 minutes). I'd highly recommend doing to walk at least once while you are staying at the Lookout. G0ogle Maps is pretty good for navigating the few unmarked forks in the Interurban trail.

  • Calm and relaxing stay after time spent hiking on Chuckanut. The listing nails it on all fronts - did enjoy doing nothing and their directions to it are needed (We used our phone as back up and would have gotten us lost!). Close to Bellingham, Bow/Edison, and plenty of hiking, which allowed us to experience a lot.

The Serenity cottage is a relaxing recharging experience. Its eastern border is a 250 acre park (Lily Point Park) with many trails and about a mile of secluded beaches and tidelands. The mini solarium with an antique clawfoot tub invites long relaxing soaks bathed in warm water and natural light. Note: Pets are allowed but there is a $20 pet fee.
This is the second cottage at Lily Point Park Lodges. Built from the ground up to be an incredible vacation / relaxation getaway, we think you will be 'transformed' just by the experience of being here. The cottage is a wonder of architectural design. With 49 windows it cradles you in a special environment that mixes indoors with an serene natural setting. Your cottage has an incredible living room with a lush comfortable sectional for two and a focal point of a stained glass alcove that makes your space feel almost spiritual. The galley kitchen is fully appointed and stocked for great meals. The bedroom has a queen bed with more stained glass and a skylight to give you a view of the magnificent cedars that surround the cottage. The bathroom / solarium features a clawfoot tub and super fast continuous hot water supply. A soak in the tub surrounded by glass block walls is a sensational and sensual almost surreal adventure in relaxation. There is a small loft with a double bed accessible by a ladder. Linens can be supplied on request. At the Lily Point Park Lodges you are directly connected to Lily Point Marine Park with its well maintained trails and mile of secluded and protected Pacific shoreline and tidal flats. Come and be 'transformed' by the beauty, serenity and silence of Lily Point.
The cottage is located on a quiet lane with no through traffic. The silence will amaze you.
  • Pat's little cabin is just right for a weekend getaway, everything you need for relaxing time

  • Great place to stay for a quick getaway to Point Roberts. Beautiful quiet location right by the trail and beach. Highly recommend these cozy little cabins!

  • True to it’s name, Serenity Cabin was an incredible stay. Everything you’d want in a retreat away from the day to day noise. Pat was fantastic to deal with and the place was ready for our stay. The trails just step behind the cabin were extremely peaceful. We will be back.

    Brandon2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for a weekend getaway. It encourages you to indulge in some of the finer things in life like maybe reading a book, appreciating the silence, or taking in the natural beauty that surrounds the place. The cottage itself is small but wonderfully designed and welcoming. For a couple thats really into a tiny house movement this alone had us excited as it had elements of this in it. It would likely be a little larger than a true tiny house though. I would highly recommend the stay as a weekend getaway. The hospitality at the local Breakwater bar and Saltwater café were also spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

  • Great location, excellent host, very cute cabin

    Danae2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a great spot for a quick weekend getaway. The location was wonderful - very quiet street and the trail right behind the cabin was the best (leads right to the beach as well as other beautiful thicker trails with nice view points along the coast). The cabin was cute and clean and just enough space for the three of us and our two dogs. I also loved the interactive map Pat has put together, and the booklet with in-depth details on the trails near by - very helpful and I appreciated the "forest bathing" section, love it. I found Lily Point to be a very serene, raw, beautiful, and (thankfully) unpopulated place. Thanks again Pat for the great hospitality and helping out with our needs, and thank you so much for putting up with our barky dogs!

    Christine2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely, quiet spot. The cabins are very well maintained and stocked, and the gas firetable on the back patio allowed us some lovely evening chats with our family.

Amy and I rescued and updated this neighborhood, turn of the century, 800+ sf character home in 2016. The Bungalow is located within walking distance of both WWU (1 mile) and downtown Bellingham (0.8 miles) and the neighborhood boasts several great breweries and dining options. The bungalow is located on a dead end, single-family street.
This house is a turn of the century character home in the York neighborhood. We have relished the opportunity to fix it up. Major updates have been made to the roof and electrical. I installed new hardwood to the foyer, living room, bedroom #2 and the dining room. Both the exterior and interior have fresh coats of paint and I replaced the front porch. The kitchen could use an update but is clean and has fully functional appliances and is stocked with everything you need to cook. Sorry, no dishwasher.
The best part about York neighborhood is that it is in close proximity to everything. We are within walking distance to downtown bellingham or Western campus (both are within a mile). There are also a couple neighborhood diners/pubs that are great places to unwind while enjoying bellingham. The neighborhood is well represented by University students who occasionally exhibit normal university student energy.
  • The bungalow was a great cozy little place. I was comfortable and there were lots of thoughtful touches. Chris and Amy are prompt communicators.

  • We and our dog had a great stay at Chris and Amy's place. The home: We were expecting student housing since its in a student neighborhood, so it was a pleasant surprise that the home looks so new and quite classy! Nice leather sofas, wood floors and good décor. The beds were super comfortable, and the home was warm and cozy. The board games were a nice touch. The kitchen counters have limited space but the hosts have provided everything you may need to make a quick meal. Plenty of towels and even an extra toothbrush, which I found handy because I forgot to pack mine! Shower was warm and had good water pressure. The location: We parked across the home in the dedicated parking spot provided by the hosts. Street parking seemed to be full for the night. There was a party in one of the homes but the bedrooms are towards the back of the home and we didn't hear a thing. Nice, well lit neighborhood that felt safe when we walked our dog late night. close to downtown, a quick uber ride away. The hosts: Chris and Amy kept in touch and even got our home ready hours before the check in time mentioned in the listing. They were very responsive. They have added a lot of thoughtful touches around the home to make for a very comfortable stay. All in all, a great stay, highly recommend!

This cottage has been a year around respite for couples in the Pacific Northwest for many year. We have recently added one of our 'signature' solarium bathrooms with an antique clawfoot tub. We have also upgraded the main floor with new radiant heated hardwood floors. Note: Pets are allowed but there is a $20 pet fee.
Imagine a cottage so beautiful that you feel like you have found a little slice of heaven. Now add in a grove of magnificent cedars as your landscape. For sounds only the occasional screech of an eagle as it soars high over head or perhaps the soothing rustle of the wind through the cedars. Relax around a cozy gas fireplace and recharge. Your next door neighbor is a 250 acre park with walking trails leading down to one mile of secluded pacific beach. Check out the pictures. The cottage is in Point Roberts also known as South Tsawwassen BC. Although we are in the US, we are closer to downtown Vancouver BC than most of the suburbs. And now you can even have a special shopping day in the new 600 million mall the is only 15 minutes drive (featuring Can$ prices). Treat yourself and someone you love to the ultimate couples getaway.
The cottage is connected to Lily Point Park, a beautiful 250 acre marine park with trails and about one mile of ocean beach and tidelands. The park is home to many families of bald eagles ravens and herons.
  • If you want a place to unwind and enjoy beauty, nature, and a spiritually renewing space, you will do well to stay here. My husband and I had planned to go up into Canada for some adventures, but we only left a few times because it was exactly where we wanted to be. When I hiked down to the beach, I only saw one other group the whole time. Solitude, peace, birds, and gorgeous panoramic views. One more thing. We are picky about having a comfortable bed, and both of us slept very well up in the cozy loft. Teri

  • This house is VERY cute. While it is in an awesome location with a path that leads right to the beach, it isn’t as secluded as it looks. The street is lined with tiny homes, some of which are a stone’s throw from the gingerbread house. We had a great time wandering the woods, cooking yummy meals, and taking long naps. Would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous modern studio in a forested setting, this is a unique space with thoughtful design. Seashore and mountain trails are right outside the door, & the Studio is a ten minute drive from Bellingham. Our special place has offered a base for adventure, rejuvenation and re-connection and provided "Il Dolce Far Niente" - The Sweetness of Doing Nothing. Meeting accurate expectations is important to us, so please read our entire listing description before you send a booking request. Thank you!
Note: Meeting accurate expectations is very important to us, so please read our entire listing description before you send a booking request. Thank you! The Seaside Forest Studio shares the property with our home, and began as an artist's studio, every aspect custom designed. From the loft bed surrounded by windows, to the fully equipped kitchen, slate-tiled shower and red brick floors, everything was added with careful thought. This is a unique space! The Studio is 512 square feet with an added 60 feet in the sleeping area above. There is a queen-sized bed in a hanging loft, best for those comfortable climbing a ladder up and down, to sleep surrounded by windows and trees on all sides. There is also a Euro-lounger/sofa in the main room that folds into a comfortable full size bed, with a memory foam topper. The main room has a window seat, as well as a custom reading nook with games for all ages stored below. Peter's handmade beautiful, live-edge cedar table seats four (five, if you'd like). The kitchen is fully equipped with sink, stove, oven, refrigerator, and cooking implements. The bath has a full shower, beautifully tiled. The studio has both electric heat and a wood stove. There are two entryways, with a curved wood deck at the front entrance (and a large granite boulder to sit on as well). Parking is just outside the back door. We care about beauty, connection, real things, and the Studio reflects that; much of its features were made by us or locally sourced. You'll eat at Peter's table, hang your coat on a fir tree we found in our woods, use Aimee's homemade soap in the shower, see our art on the walls, sleep in a loft built by a dear friend, and enjoy a fire with wood from our property. A short walk down the driveway or steep beach trail offers views of both Chuckanut and Pleasant Bays (we live on a point, so there is water on both sides). Just up a winding brick path, you'll find the hot tub (older design, very simple) behind our house, on a deck under tall fir trees with peekaboo views of the water. Our property is a haven for wildlife: the studio is surrounded by a forest that's home to many kinds of birds, including raptors, owls, and songbirds. Raccoons and deer wander through, and we're close to the seashore where seals swim, herons squawk, and crabs scuttle under eelgrass forests. The Studio shares the forest with our home, so we're available for questions and concerns. Our house is situated on a knoll overlooking the water, while the studio is in the forest just below. The two structures are separated by a driveway and woods, out of sight of each other. We do share a common driveway, our cars blocked from the Studio's view by a neatly stacked woodpile. The Studio has many windows (with blinds), and we do drive and/or walk past the Studio when coming & going, . The Seaside Forest Studio is ideal for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers, and those who want unique accommodation in a beautiful natural setting.
With Chuckanut Mountain behind us and the Salish Sea in front, hikers, bikers, and kayakers will find easy access to all three activities from the studio. The Interurban Trail is just up the road. Heading south on the Interurban you'll reach the trails, lakes and seashore of 2683-acre Larrabee State Park in five minutes; walking north, you can stroll or bike five miles to town if you'd like, all on this forested trail overlooking the sea. Paddling west in a kayak you'll reach Chuckanut Island in 20 minutes. Our family have been the caretakers of this special place, owned by the Nature Conservancy, for years. The world renowned beauty of Chuckanut Drive is moments away – enjoy it by bicycle or car. Fairhaven is 10 minutes and downtown Bellingham is 20 minutes by car. If you'd like, you can touch a glacier and explore an island in the same day!
  • Amazing location. Amazing studio. Very modern and cozy. Perfect for a staycation or a vacation. Great hosts.

  • Great little spot! Close enough to Bellingham to go out and do stuff, but removed enough to be out in nature. The loft bed is a must-try!

  • Fantastic place, great retreat from the city hustle. Train is canceled out with white noise or ear plugs provided by hosts. Hot tub was perfect, place was clean and stylish. Really sparks inspiration for creating a mindful tranquil space. Hosts were quick to respond. Overall fantastic stay, highly recommend

  • This is a beautiful space. You wake up feeling like you are up in the trees. Every detail in this home is thoughtful and well designed. The property is lovely. The sound of the train at night was enchanting, not disturbing. It was a rejuvenating experience when I really needed it.

  • 6/5 Stars - hands down one of my favorite AirBnb experiences. Such a remote and quiet cabin with such amazing hosts. Everything we could of needed or thought of was already laid out, itemized in guest book, or was sent prior to arrival.

    Ian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about our stay here. Aimee and Peter are super professional hosts and went out of their way to write a clear ad and also provide plenty of information for guests about the property and the surrounding area. The studio itself was stylish and awesome to spend time in. The high ceilings and plenty of fun personal touches were a highlight of the space. The hot tub was amazing and so relaxing to soak in at night while watching the trees. Overall I would love to stay here again and I highly recommend it!

    Lisa2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee and Peter were excellent hosts. This is such an amazing space - the loft bed is literally right up in the trees. You are steps away from the ocean in this enchanting cottage. The hosts were very friendly and inviting, and we had everything we needed. I would gladly stay here again.

    Neil2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is so beautiful and Aimee and Peter were awesome, communicative, and thoughtful hosts. This area is great for peace, quiet, and hiking but also conveniently close to Bellingham restaurants and breweries. Highly recommend!

New studio in a recreation paradise! Clean, warm and bright, with a fully furnished kitchen and bath and tiny gas fireplace. Private daylight basement space tucked in the woods a few minute's walk from the North Fork of the Nooksack River, on a small organic farm/homestead. It's a perfect home base for skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and eagle watching. Hosts are familiar with local recreation opportunities and can share tips!
We had a great time creating this amazing studio apartment! The space is beautifully crafted and furnished, full of light. The 3/4 bath has a heated floor and custom tile shower. Kitchen cabinets are made out of yellow cedar salvaged years ago and stored for this project. Window and baseboard trim are made of maple from our homestead. The kitchen is fully set up with a gas range, dishwasher, and plenty of room for two. It it always stocked with good coffee and teas! The bed is an easy-to-set-up futon couch/bed with a new organic cotton and wool mattress and down comforter. A tiny gas fireplace completes the cozy room.
Our location in the Welcome Valley is a perfect base for recreation and relaxation. Activities like mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, or just skipping rocks on the river can all be accessed right out the door. People come from all over the region to see salmon and eagles November through February. For skiers and snowboarders, we are just an hour's drive from the legendary Mount Baker Ski Area.

The cabin is within a neighborhood of rural homes. You will be surrounded by old-growth forest and expansive views of the sky. Favorites around the neighborhood are the North Fork Beer Shrine, Grahams and Chair 9. There's a resident owl on the property too. As the cabin is located on the edge of the woods situated on 1/3 acre, you may see our friends the field mice around the cabin. Occasionally you may also run into a spider keeping up a home in the upper rafters.
  • Great little get away spot. Cabin was super cozy and very nicely furnished. Everything was neat and tidy upon our arrival. Lora is very hospitable and there for any questions if you have them. Highly recommend!

  • Lovely cabin and the photos actually reflect the place.

    Andrei2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was everything my friends I and I imagined it to be. The beds were extremely cozy. The cabin had so many board games, books and entertainment. Super adorable decors and they provided all amenities. They’re amazing hosts giving detailed instructions regarding fireplace, hot tub, etc prior to checking in. Definitely recommend and would come again!

  • We had an awesome stay, everything was lovely.

    Elena2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin not far from Mt. Baker. It is located in a neighborhood, so that was a little surprising. Aside from that, we did not hear or see another person, so still very private. The space is exceptionally clean and directions on how to use various items are laid out well. I would definitely recommend this cabin if you find yourself visiting northern Washington!

    Ryan2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We came up to give our 8 year old twins their first ski adventure at Mount Baker. This very well renovated A frame was perfect. Very clean, very cozy and for a compact space there wasn’t a thing it was missing. I travel a lot and appreciated the white robes and slippers, coffee stocked in the freezer, heated bathroom floors, and plenty of pillows and blankets. We arrived to a warm space and a hot tub that was ready to go! Mount Baker is an easy 45 minute pretty straight shot and we loved coming back to the property at the end of an exhausting day. The hosts were very helpful and available (sent us recommendations before we arrived) but the house was so well planned we didn’t need them for a thing. Highly recommend. Sasha

    Sasha2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute space, and best of all the hot tub gets hot. Perfect for cold winter nights in the wilderness. One of the best A-Frames I've stayed at in Washington. Will absolutely book again!

    Elizabeth2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This listing is as great as advertised! It was easy to find, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped for any travellers. The kitchen has all the utensils and cutlery and pots and pans that you would need, the washroom is well stocked with supplies, the towels were soft and fluffy, and there are lots of boardgames for family fun. The hosts were friendly and very quick to respond with questions and check in was seamless. The outdoor space is serene and well-maintained and the hot tub is clean. There are thoughtful touches throughout the cabin and it feels like home as soon as you walk in. Thank you for a great stay!

A rustic, very clean, comfortable, cozy, pet friendly classic cabin/cottage with a large hot tub, an unique rustic-modern kitchen and main bathroom. Very close to Mt. Baker Ski Resort Area of Mt. Baker, Whatcom County, WA, United States and minutes from Glacier, WA. Convenient located in a gated community of Snowline. This unique Snowline cabin is a great home base for year round activities in the Mount Baker area (aka Koma Kulshan) in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, North Cascades.
This classic Mt. Baker Twin Tree House Cabin 1 is great for families, groups and couples as the community amenities are just steps away. Flex space (kitchen, dining, living and 1 full plus 1/2 bathrooms on main) with four bedroom on upper floor. The kitchen has been completely redesigned (rustic modern) with new quartz counter top and island, new range and dishwasher along with new laminate flooring throughout the main floor. Of course, relax in the large private hot tub that is tested for water balance and thoroughly cleaned after every stay. Large front deck (with a large Douglas Fir tree growing through it) has a BBQ grill for gathering, cooking and relaxing. Total interior space is about 1,150 square feet split evenly between 2 floors so about 575 sq. ft. per floor. While, the cabin can sleep 8 (one double/full size bed in each of the four bedrooms), it may feel crowded if you are used to larger space; therefore, maximum guest is set to 6. If you need to squeeze more in, you must make prior arrangements with host because it may negative impact the experience of your stay and possibly safety. Please keep this in mind if you have a group of more than four. The 18,000 BTU high efficiency super quiet ductless mini-split air conditioner and heat pump to keep the main level comfortable year round by heating and cooling. Yes, an air conditioned cabin in the woods (main level only)! Note that we do not use harsh chemical to clean the cabin - natural products like vinegar and other biodegradable cleaners (Simple Green, ECOS detergent) are used whenever possible. Interesting note: The Mt. Tree House Cabin 1 cabin is featured in Shelter: Cabin Chronicles on Huckberry as The PNW TEAL CABIN (photo by @robstrok - must have caught his eyes!) that received thousands of comment on Huckberry's Face-Book page about the huge tree sticking out of the front porch and its bold teal color (Benjamin Moore Colonial Blue actually). That is why it is called the Tree House 1. Tree House 2 has a tree sticking out of the back porch. This a good old classic A-frame style cabin is constructed of almost entirely with whole Douglas Fir lumber and other wood panelings. It has retained all the nostalgic features of yesteryear combined with modern amenities and comfort features like hot tub, internet, VOIP phone, Netflix, ductless AC heat pump and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom for a safe and relaxing getaway.
Our cabin/cottage/chalet in in the gated community of Snowline. This is a very safe, friendly and family oriented community with great amenities and excellent management. Many vacation cabins, second homes and primary homes are located in this community so while the Tree House Cabin looks and feels like a cabin in the woods, you are not alone and have neighbors close by (e.g. next door, behind and across the road). It is very close to the Mt Baker Ski area. Your home base for relaxation and year round activities in and around Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Mt. Baker Ski Area, Mount Baker Highway, Deming, WA, United States. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, river rafting, biking, kayaking, tennis, basketball, pickle ball and much more. The city of Bellingham is only 45 minutes away. Mount Baker, Whatcom County, Washington, United States or Mt. Baker (aka Koma Kulshan) in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is part of the Northern Cascades mountains ranges. It is is also one of the snowiest places in the world. This is close as you can stay to Mt. Baker Ski Area, Artist Point, Mt. Baker Lodge Lakes, Picture Lakes, Mt Baker Ski Area: White Salmon Lodge, Deming, WA, United States. Oh, lets not forget, City of Bellingham and the Canadian boarder is about 30 to 45 minutes away to 3 points of entry via Sumas/Abbotsford, Lynden/Surrey or Blaine/Vancouver. Closest airports are BLI, YXX,SEA and YVR.
  • Surprisingly spacious chalet with great proximity to Mt. Baker Ski Area. Our group of four plus one dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and all agreed that when we return we would book this chalet again!

  • We really enjoyed staying at Ken's cabin. Great location, very clean, well set up place with a good ski vibe. Excellent communication and very clear check in instructions too. It was nice to have four private bedrooms for our group. We also liked the fact that there were two toilets downstairs (one with a shower and one in the laundry room with sink and mirror). There was a very cool spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms which wasn't an issue for our group of skiers, but makes me think this place may not be good for people with mobility issues. Highly recommended for able bodied skiers and snowboarders looking for a great place about as close to Mt. Baker and Chair 9 restaurant as you can get. Thanks Ken!

The Garden House is a lovely living space located above an artist studio on 6 waterfront acres. Light-filled, with cathedral ceilings and dormers, the Garden House has a combined kitchen and sitting room with hide-a-bed, a private bedroom, and a bathroom with shower.
The Garden House is maintained with an intention to minimize toxicity in operations: it is kept dander free, laundry soaps are organic and odor-free, sheets are 100% cotton (mostly flannel). Seasonal flowers in the garden are available for guest-picked bouquets. The pottery studio is available for tours, conversation and hands-on clay exploration. There is an extensive and eclectic library. The intentional absence of a flat screen encourages guests to explore non-digital experiences. Please read the house manual and "the neighborhood" (see below) for helpful information.
Doe Bay Resort is less than a minute's drive; they have an excellent cafe, a small store and serve as a launch area for Shearwater Kayak trips. The Catkin Cafe and Artworks are in Olga, about 5 minutes west from the Garden House. I recommend you download a comprehensive list of available restaurants so you can plan meals out (and make reservations), particularly during peak periods like summer and weekends. A one-page summary of all dining choices on the island is available in the Garden House, provided by the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce (go to the chamber's web site and look for the "Dining Guide" link. • Lovely cozy home in a peaceful wooded setting. We really enjoyed the beauty of the house which featured classic Northwest design and Joe’s gorgeous crystal glaze pottery, and incorporated locally sourced wood. Joe was an attentive host, providing extensive information to make our stay comfortable and fun. The house is close to Moran State Park which is great for hiking and sightseeing, especially from the top of Mt. Constitution. The house is also around the corner from Doe Bay Resort whose spa is accessible via day pass. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.

The "Aloha Suite" is the name we have given our guest room attached to the south end of our garage. It is a separate building near our home and shop buildings. The room's decor is tropical, with, we hope, the spirit of "aloha" present.
When our home was being built, we lived in the "Aloha Suite", a separate space on the south end of our garage. Since we moved into our home, the suite has been a haven for many guests.(URL HIDDEN)In the main room there are: a comfortable Serta queen sized bed, reading chair, small dining table and chairs, bookshelves with reading material of local and travel interest, yoga mat, and TV with DISH satellite channels (and instructions), a Blu-ray player(URL HIDDEN) In the bathroom there is a shower; and towels and robes are provided. The "kitchenette": This nook in the corner of the main room contains a small refrigerator/freezer, glasses and dishes, basic food preparation items, electric tea kettle, "personal" blender, a choice of two coffee makers, a wide slot toaster, and a microwave. It is not a true kitchen equipped for lots of cooking and dish washing. We are happy to provide the use of our oven and to wash your dishes as needed. There is a laundry sink in the garage for washing large items. We have a barbecue grill on the porch that you may use. It is possible to move the furniture to accommodate a sleeping pad for another person or a baby bed. We have space outside for pitching a tent as well. On request, we can provide an iron and ironing board. We also have a selection of movies and board games you are welcome to borrow.
We live in a quiet, wooded rural area on a road with five homes and nice neighbors. We do get fog and deer crossing the roads, so be alert, especially at night. Please look over the detailed instructions to get here, as GPS may not bring you right to our driveway. We are a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Bellingham and several other communites-Ferndale, Lynden, Everson, and Deming. We have cell phone coverage here, but if you don't for some reason, you are welcome to use our land line for calls. (Currently T-Mobile coverage is "iffy.")

  • Terry's Airbnb 'cottage' is delightful and the setting is very peaceful. They have provided for every convenience including local tips, a kitchenette with all kinds of amenities-including a small blender which I loved! The Aloha decor is great in the Northwest, especially for our winter days. The cottage is well furnished, bed very comfortable and it has sitting and dining areas in the space. Terry welcomed me, showed me around and even left delicious cookies. I'd return any time I'm in the Bellingham area. Highly recommended.

Our home is a great place to experience Bellingham from! Our neighborhood is friendly and centrally located. Walking distance from breweries, bus line, and grocery store.
My husband and I live in the main house, and your space is a mother-in-law suite that shares one wall with our house. It has a private entrance and parking spot, as well as a little outdoor sitting area. It is a perfect spot for one person or a couple visiting B'ham.
Our neighborhood is right on the edge of the line between residential and commercial. We are only one street off of Meridian, where you can find breweries and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We are a 30 second walk from a grocery store and the bus line, and only a 5 minute drive to downtown Bellingham.
  • We felt very welcome and had everything we needed at Cayley’s place. She had fast and timely communication for my questions. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

  • Cayley’s Airbnb was in a very convenient location and she was able to accommodate us very quickly. We had a nice relaxing night in the space and it was a nice one day stop in the sleepy town. Thanks again!

  • Really cute and great little place to spend the night before flying out if town. Nice and Central.

  • A beautiful and quiet escape but just a short walk to all the Bellingham activities, this location houses a warm environment with plenty of natural light upstairs. Stocked up with everything we needed and more, we felt right at home in this charming and pristine rental. A real bargain at any price, you'll be able to rest up for all your Bellingham explorations, or have a lively night in with a full kitchen and a plenty of space from the downstairs living area to the upstairs bedroom and spacious bathroom. A private space with its own parking spot and entry, you'll be able to relax in style. Highly recommend this wonderful Airbnb!

  • Brian’s place is so clean and nice, we really enjoyed our weekend :)

    Alex2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome cabin, easy access to Mt Baker. It might have been the last community or two before the road started up to the mountain. It’s in a amazing location and I bet there is even more to do in the summer. If you are looking to book for skiing, I didn’t see anything else beyond this and the cabin had a really nice feel about the style and layout. It would be a great place for a campfire in the summer.

    Dustin2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house, great value, great location.

  • If you're looking for the perfect place to come back to and relax, and just make some awesome memories with your friends and family, look no further, this bnb hits all the right spots and more! My friends and I came here looking to relax after a day of hitting slopes and digging out our car from Mt. Bakers parking lot, on a day that got an easy 8+ inches of snow! After a day like that all I could think about was that lovely hot tub waiting for us. Getting there was easy, the Chair 9 restaurant is hard to miss. I actually love the fact that we had to grab the key from there because it gave us the opportunity to chat up the day with some beer and pizza, how much better can it get? Although we had an issue with the code, Brian was quick to respond and got us situated right away. The bnb was an easy walk across the street. 3 cars fit easily in the driveway. I can not emphasize enough how much we were in awe by the beauty of this bnb! Just the atmosphere of the lights and the big glass windows, and the fireplace, hot tub... everything! It was definitely a getaway from home! One thing I look forward to is seeing this bnb in the summer. Would have definitely loved to take advantage of the outdoor fire pit with some s'mores in-hand. Definitely will be booking more than 1 night next time around.

  • The A-Frame cabin is really well finished with countless small touches that really make it pleasurable. It feels like a home, warm and cozy the moment you walk in the door. Plenty of space for our group of 7 to eat and relax while also having bedroom privacy and multiple bathrooms with showers. The hot tub was clean and got up to 104* while it snowed on us! Enjoy full days on the mountain near the lift with a great pizza spot right next door. I cannot stress how beautiful the view was in the fleeting moments of cloud clarity. This place is a favorite and will create a lasting memory for all!

  • The cozy apartment features an updated bathroom and a well-appointed kitchen with pans and all the necessary tools to cook in-house. The view of Birch Bay through the picture windows and sliders that form the main wall in the living/dining room is beautiful. I appreciated how kind and responsive Tim and Christine were to my few questions during and after check-in. The place made an idea location for a writing weekend, with plenty of room at the dining table to spread out notes, manuscripts, and a laptop. Definitely a good value.

  • Enchanting and serene. We were lucky to stay here

    Steve2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible views from the bedroom and main floor, we woke up to rainbows over the ocean and bald eagles flying by. It was spectacular and magical. The drive up to the airbnb was a bit scary and steep for me, and we felt grateful to have 4-wheel drive during a rainstorm. We built a lovely fire in the evening, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We cooked several meals, but the kitchen leaves a little to be desired regarding space and amenities. Overall I would definitely recommend!

    Olivia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at James and Lisa's home. The view was amazing, especially from upstairs. The unit is fully detached from the main house and we never saw another soul while we were there except for the deer that usually greeted us on our drive in. It was so peaceful and quiet. There are two entryways to the unit, making it very easy to unload and load up our car. The bed was comfortable, and there's a second bed upstairs that seems to be a Tempurpedic bed if you prefer a different level of softness to the main bed. I was also pleased that the water pressure in the shower was nice and strong. The mini kitchen is small but well stocked with kitchen supplies. Although tucked away in a secluded spot, this Airbnb was a close drive to nearby hikes, a coffee shop, and the Doe Bay restaurant which is amazing. Also, it's only about a 20 minute drive to get back to Eastsound and the drive was beautiful each time we did it. We hope to come back! Thank you!!

  • Mike and Lisa’s bungalow can be described nothing less than a gem on Orcas Island with its breathtaking scenic views from both up and downstairs areas, an extremely comfy king sized bed, and wood fire place where we cozied up to after an afternoon downtown. We fell in love with this place and wished we could have stay longer. Thank you so much Mike and Lisa, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

  • Cool rustic tiny cabin in the woods . Had everything we needed for a Rustic adventure Outdoor Soaking tub with unlimited hot water is fantastic !

    Rick2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the rustic cabin atmosphere the Tiny House conveys. Small and cozy but very comfortable . Has all basic amenities listed . Offers all the Peace and solitude that we were looking for. The outdoor composting toilet is simple. The outdoor soaking tub is amazing ... all the hot water you want for long luxurious healing soaks, with refreshing cold air to cool off. It’s private enough even in the daytime. Peter was very responsive although we didn’t need much... except to book a second night! They will send you detailed directions to find this place ... follow them and it’s easy. The last 3 miles are gravel with chuck holes and some mud. You pass by some old hoards of stuff that’s not offensive ...but hey this is off the grid !

    Rick2020-01-27T00:00:00Z

A small, private, cozy studio less than a mile walking distance of both downtown Bellingham and WWU campus.
This one bedroom studio is small but mighty. We believe you will find it to be a very private, convenient and affordable option in the heart of Bellingham. It's located within a mile of both the epicenter of downtown Bellingham as well as WWU campus. In 2017 we made some cosmetic improvements by replacing the carpet with hardwood flooring, updating the electrical and giving it a new paint job. However, it could certainly use an updated kitchen and bathroom and was used as a college rental for many years before we rescued it. So if you're looking for modern and fancy, you may want to look elsewhere. But if you don't mind rustic/charming, we believe you will be quite comfortable. It is most suitable for 1-2 people, but the futon couch can be used as a second "bed" making it available to groups of up to three. Also, the on-site parking space is located on the back alley. It is a bit small and the alley is somewhat narrow so parking a large vehicle could take some extra effort. We recommend backing in to the space. If you are uncomfortable with the small parking space, you will need to find street parking which is generally available but can get crowded by late evening.
The best part about York neighborhood is our proximity to both downtown bellingham and WWU campus (both are within a mile). There are also several neighborhood diners, pubs and restaurants all within a 1/2 mile that are great places to unwind after enjoying bellingham. We recommend both Nelson's market and MacKay's tap house. Due to our proximity to campus, there are many students in the area. Generally they are quiet but can host loud parties from time to time.
  • This place is tiny, but very cute, comfortable, stylish and clean! The bed was amazingly comfortable with very soft sheets, a wonderful mattress, plenty of perfect pillows and soft cozy blankets. Amy and Chris have thought of and included every little thing a person would need for a cozy retreat, from coffee to waffles, and earplugs to toothpaste (and toothbrushes if you forgot yours)! No need to run out for anything! There may even have been chocolate! I would definitely stay here again!

    Marcia2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was great! It’s a cozy suite that has a full kitchen, a stocked up bathroom, a super comfortable bed, and there are fun board games in the living space! • This was just amazing! Step by step directions on how to get in, easy communication! A clean and beautiful home! Chris and Amy left a note on the table for us stating if we needed anything at all to text or call and left there phone number. They are just amazing hosts. I am always a cold person and they had blankets all over for me to snuggle up with. I cant say enough good things about them. Will rent again when i come back!

  • We loved this cabin! Communication with Brian was very easy and instructions were quite easy to follow. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a great meal for your group which we did for 2/3 nights for our group of 6, chairlift 9 restaurant was also within walking distance. Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was great after two days of skiing. Could not recommend this place enough!

    Jocelyn2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The SnowGlobe cabin was an excellent base for our ski trip. We had planned to ski all three days while we were there but we decided to spend an entire day just relaxing and lounging at the cabin. Everyone in our group commented on the coziness and stylish decor. The hot tub was also a hit! The cabin is situated in a gated community and even though there were other cabins near by, it was really quiet and the presence of all the trees made us feel like we were secluded in the woods. The check-in/out instructions provided by Brian was super easy and he was also quick to answer our questions during our stay. We are already planning on booking the same cabin for next year's trip!

Our studio is close to everything Bellingham has to offer. Just blocks from downtown, we are walking distance from nightlife, museums, restaurants, parks, and the waterfront. You'll feel at home with a private entrance, full kitchen, and washer/dryer. With tons of historic charm, yet a newly renovated space with fun design details, this is the perfect spot to enjoy this town. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION before booking!
This is the THIRD floor of a 19th century home. There are two sets of stairs, and electronic locks to access your private studio. The studio has a full kitchen, and we provide the basics to cook simple items. If guests want to do more extensive cooking, we are happy to provide the tools, however we do not keep everything in the unit, nor do we keep any food or condiments. If you have the need for more specialty cooking tools, we ask that the guest communicates this need ahead of time. This also goes for additional household items. We are minimalists in many ways, but can always share/provide these items. We provide coffee and tea (Keurig one cup at a time) as well as a French Press, and a hot-kettle for water. The space has a QUEEN size bed. The living room couch is a small futon that folds into a bed. We do not advertise this as a second bed because it is not a typical "bed". It has worked for many guests with children, or adults who don't mind their feet hanging off the edges. If you have questions about this additional bed, please message us.
Lettered Streets is an awesome neighborhood if you like to be close to downtown restaurants, bars, and businesses. We often walk to the farmers markets or to brunch, and we appreciate that we are one of the closest neighborhoods to downtown Bellingham. We love all the breweries, tap-houses, and coffee shops that are blocks away from our house! It is also ideal because it is a short distance (less than a mile) from the waterfront and the Marina (Squalicum Harbor). The fact that we can walk less than a mile to the marina to inspect the yachts, watch the sunset at Zuanich park, or driftwood hunt along Squalicum Beach is a real luxury! We love our location so much, but we still feel it is important to note that because we are only blocks from downtown, parks, restaurants and the waterfront, we have some proximity to areas where the homeless population of Bellingham will congregate. Specifically The Mission, a non-profit who has been serving Bellingham's homeless population for many years. As with any downtown area nationwide, homelessness is rising. It is unfortunate, but we cannot change this fact until certain systemic issues are addressed in our country. And Bellingham, even though picturesque and charming, shares the same disparity in living wage/home prices that the entire west coast is currently experiencing. However, we love living so close to downtown and have NO issues with our neighborhood. It is considered a desirable and very safe area to live. But we like to give everyone a heads up... especially those folks that like to ignore that homelessness indeed exists in America. If you do not want to see or think about homelessness, please do not stay here. WE are letting you know now, that the location is urban, and you will encounter homeless people in the region. For more info on the Lettered Streets neighborhood feel free to visit: https://www.cob.org/services/planning/neighborhoods/Pages/lettered-streets.aspx

Beautiful setting that provides easy access to all that Bellingham has to offer. In the city but feels like the country. Our spacious suite is the perfect getaway for a couple or individual. With a private entrance, the 2nd floor studio and bathroom (on lower level) provide a great place to call home while in Bellingham. The king bed is ultra comfortable and the studio is perfect for those that want more space and amenities than a hotel room or shared house.
Our above garage suite is beautifully decorated with super comfortable king bed and comforter. Large armoire for clothing. High speed internet, microwave/toaster oven, Keurig, french press, small fridge and freezer, iron board, dishes, pots & pans and more. Hot plate available upon request. We only allow up to two people, but if you have an infant, don't hesitate to check with us. Interaction with guests: We are a text message away, anytime for anything! We live in the main house, but value your privacy. Our Clean Unit Guarantee - We want our guests to know that we provide clean bed sheets, pillow cases, duvet cover, mattress pad and bathroom towels/cloths for every visitor. We personally clean all surfaces upstairs and in the bathroom prior to every guest and do not use a cleaning company. This is how we like places when we visit, so we feel our guests deserve the same treatment! The neighborhood: Centrally located to EVERYTHING...Right on the trail system that runs throughout Bellingham. Near St. Joseph's Hospital, Barkley Village, downtown Bellingham, WWU and easy access to the freeway north and south. You can be on the road (State Rte. 542) to Mt. Baker in about 2 minutes from our house. Check out the notebook in the suite for information about our area, local trails and great places to eat, drink and hang out. Our location is central whether driving, riding or walking. We are right on the interurban trail that takes you all over Bellingham. We are also only a few minutes from downtown and the I5 Freeway. We are local and know Bellingham very well! If you have questions don't hesitate to ask.
Our home is walking distance to Barkley Village, Whatcom Falls Park, Lake Whatcom and provides easy access to just about all of Bellingham. Though you drive up through a typical neighborhood, our area has a limited number of houses on large lots. Almost all the homes on our private driveway have at least 3/4 of an acre, so there is no one super close.
  • Had a great time staying here. The space was very comfortable and super clean. Good location too

  • Matt and Laura’s place was awesome to stay at close to downtown gave some tips on what to do when we stayed . Will definitely stay there again.

    Adam2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Laura are great hosts. I was in need of nothing, but they were responsive and pleasant in all interactions before and during my stay. I was in town for a conference, so I was looking for a cozy and quiet place to retreat to after busy days interacting with and constantly being around people. Matt and Laura's is a great place to replenish and be prepared for the next day's adventures, wherever your stay in Bellingham takes you. Thanks!

    David2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet, clean and cozy. King size bed was very comfortable, slept like a baby.

    Heather2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my daughter for a ski trip to Mt Baker in the month of February. This is a very pleasant, comfortable and private studio apartment with a separate entry between the main house and the garage. Very nice up-to-date apartment and amenities. The bathroom is on the main level off the entryway, and right next to the stairway leading up to the apartment over the garage. There is good lighting in the stairwell and the bathroom, and all is well heated. Matt and Laura communicated well and responded promptly to questions. Great value for a very nice space.

    Theresa2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool place to stay! Very organized and clean. Will stay again.

    Karissa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was a great space with plenty of room and plenty of thoughtful touches. A short drive to downtown Bellingham, it was in a great location. Matt and Laura were great hosts who always responded very quickly. Can’t thank them enough for renting out their space!

    Alicia2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • My stay here overlapped with the first snow storm of the year in Bellingham. The place was super cozy and Matt and Laura even cleared my car of snow one morning. The room was comfy and had everything I needed.

Need a place to "socially distance" yourselves close to home? We live in an outdoor wonderland! Hike the trails in the Mt. Baker National Forest, snowshoe at Artist Point, picnic at Birch Bay, or conqueror the Oyster Dome! Then come back for a uniqueTINY HOUSE experience. Roast marshmallows around the campfire and relax with a cup of coffee on the front porch in the morning. Refresh, relax and find joy! Lengths of stay is limited to two weeks. Exceptions possible upon request.
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces and following Airbnb's recommended cleaning protocols between reservations. TINY HOUSE is small...but oh so cute and functional! We have packed 2 full sized beds, wifi, a fully flushing toilet and a claw foot tub/shower, Smart TV, kitchenette and a table with two chairs all within 120 square feet! The covered porch adds to the space and an in-wall heater allows the cabin to be used year round. The 3 inch, full sized memory foam mattress in the loft is best suited for children who are fully proficient going up and down ladders or small adults 5'5" or smaller. The space is tight and the ladder is steep and can be tricky. We would usuallly provide a jar of our famous homemade Tiny House Granola and Tillamook yogurt, coffee and tea for the morning for you to enjoy during your stay, but have placed that addition on hold due to the extra precautions we are taking to keep our guests healthy. Cooking in the cabin is kept to a minimum due to the lack of space and ventilation. Inside the cabin, you have access to a small microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee pot, and electric hot water pot. Outdoors, there is a fire pit and coal Webber BBQ. I encourage you to bring your own outdoor camp stove and cookware if you desire more cooking options. To help the ventilation indoors, we encourage you to keep the window open, the bathroom door cracked and and the fan in the bathroom on as often as possible. We have hung a clothes line on the porch to help with drying items. If you're traveling with an infant, your portable playpen can fit next to the bed if the table and chairs are moved to the covered porch.
The cabin is tucked back into the trees, but we still need to respect our wonderful neighbors by keeping the noise to a minimum. During the warm months when the windows are open, you might hear a little road noise. Also, we have many wild birds that can make quite a ruckus in the morning. We are located at the end of a Private Lane and in respect of our neighbors, we ask that you drive 5 MPH or less down the driveway.
  • We had a lovely stay at Mike’s place. The tiny cabin was as described and a great choice for our trip to hike Oyster Dome and Artist Point. We arrived at night and loved the lighting on the cabin’s exterior - magical! We enjoyed the property - complete with a chicken coop, friendly cat, and fire pit. Thanks so much! 😊

  • Very welcoming folks and a relaxed setting. Good location close enough to stores but outside the chaos. Loved the tour of the homebrew taphouse ! Cheers!

    Randy2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeously designed cabin, private, beautifully appointed; sweet spot on a long drive. Great spot. Big front porch and a fire pit, tall trees, and big enough for a small family (2 beds) as long as the kids can climb a ladder.

    Melissa2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed at Tiny Cabin numerous times in recent years. As always, it was perfect, cozy and charming. Highly recommend.

Our 1924 craftsman home is a calm and inviting home surrounded by old trees, a large garden, and is on a quite residential street. There are two bedrooms and a quaint kitchen to cook in, with a fireplace to enjoy. Both bedrooms are spacious and light. The back yard, courtyard, fire pit, washer/dryer are all shared by the entire household. We are happy to get to know our visitors, but we also understand and respect your peace and privacy. We hope that your enjoy our home, we certainly do!
There is a separate downstairs from the main house where our guests stay. This space has been updated to include all modern amenities, with beautiful custom details. We have a separate kitchen, and living area from our guests.
Our neighborhood is called Columbia neighborhood, and is part of historically Bellingham It is is centrally located to downtown and the harbor, and is a short walking distance to local transit, the breweries, and local attractions such as the Mt. Baker Theater. Our neighborhood is also located close to the urban trails, with excellent grocery and retail shopping, as well as being near the hospital. We are close to the downtown Farmers Market, which is a vibrant event with live music and excellent food.
  • Just as wonderful as advertised!

  • Lisa and Jim are kind and gracious hosts. Room was cozy, kitchen and bath were clean and the decor very stylish. Great location, easy parking, quiet neighborhood, gorgeous yard! Really was a home away from home! Can't thank these terrific hosts enough for the entire experience! Great for a long-term stay.

  • So glad I stayed here! I initially booked for 5 weeks, but booked an additional three months after enjoying my stay so much. The space is charming, comfortable, and convenient! Appliances and amenities are nice and new. There are plenty of outlets, and I appreciated that almost all of the lights are on dimmers. The bedroom was nicely furnished, and the queen bed and bedding were very comfortable. The backyard is gorgeous and meticulously kept. The house is in a great location - right by a few breweries, food trucks, and a grocery store, along with multiple bus stops. Lisa and Jim are excellent hosts! They've gone out of their way to make sure that I've had an excellent experience. They are genuinely invested in their guests' well-being and have been really helpful in helping me get acquainted with the city. They also do a thorough job of reviewing applicants for the other available room, which I have really appreciated!

  • Could not love this waterfront cabin more! Had a great bonfire. Beds were super comfy. Lots of thoughtful touches. Scenery is top notch. Easy drive to town. Dreaming of going back!

    Sarah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint, natural setting on a beautiful, quiet beach/bay. If you like to “go back in time to a simpler time”, but with simple, modern touches, this will prob work for you. We stayed in a waterfront cabin, which was simply decorated, but clean, with a comfy bed, kitchen, loved the natural wood of the interior, and the wood stove! We were glad to have electric heat as well though, bc getting the small wood stove to hold a fire was a challenge. Not sure if bc stove too small, the wood too large, or we couldn’t figure out the damper? It would have helped to have that marked (air control), how to use, on the stove itself. We enjoyed having cheese, crackers, wine (easily obtained from town of Eastsound a few minutes away, but the resort store seemed to have a decent selection, too) and a campfire outside overlooking the water. Beautiful! Would have loved to use the outdoor grill for steaks, fresh local fish, but we didn’t have time-Next time! We saw bald eagles, otters, seals, lots of gulls. Be careful driving around the island- lots of slow moving deer along the road, crossing roads, especially at dusk/night. A unique, quiet, serene, therapeutic spot; a great base for exploring a beautiful island! And very romantic as well, with sunsets over the water.

    Marjorie2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy waterfront cabin. Loved it!

    Sara2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to decompress and get away from the city for a few days. The location is prime, and since it's on the west end of island we were sheltered from the windy bits we experienced throughout the island. The sunset was gorgeous and the experience of having a fire pit a few feet from front door of cabin was delightful. The staff was quite friendly and provided all the amenities we could need. They provided us with extra blankets and a hair dryer at the office/store/cafe. The cabin itself was quite quaint, with enough room for two -three people. It is on the smaller side, but wasn't uncomfortable. The water got nice and hot in the shower. They provide nice papaya shampoo, conditioner and soap. If you have long hair I would recommend bringing your own conditioner to tame your hair as the water is a bit hard. It was a great experience and I highly recommend!

Very peaceful and clean with nice touches like farm fresh eggs (which were delicious) As we were here in Winter year we only got to enjoy the hot tub, but I expect it to be even better once the pool opens up and the lovely garden is in bloom. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Bellingham.

You can easily hop on to the inter-urban trail which links parks, fantastic hiking, biking & downtown Bellingham. Fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi & a tasty, craft ale is only a step away.
Our cozy home is also home to a small micro-brewery which is housed in shipping containers in the back yard. Guests are welcome to use the backyard which has a fire pit, or the patio upstairs which gets lots of sun to eat their meals. These areas are only accessible when the taproom is open. The detached garage has been converted into our taproom, so a tasty ale, created on site is never far away. The bedroom is in the back of the house. It is surprisingly quiet, so you won't be disturbed by patrons of the brewery. In fact, there is the constant gurgling sound of a running stream, which is actually our glycol system that is used to cool our beer and walk-in cooler. The kitchen is fully equipment, including a gas range so you can cook to your hearts delight. There is coffee and tea readily available too. The window above the kitchen sink looks out on to the front beer garden of the brewery. You can always create some privacy by closing the blinds. The dated bathroom has a shower tub, which is stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toothpaste, first aid kit and most importantly with a tub....soothing bubble bath! The lounge/living area is our biggest space. It receives a lot of light and looks out on to the front street, and a window faces the front beer garden. Again, there are blinds, curtains and sheer curtains to create more privacy for yourself, if you so desire. You can hear the murmur of conversations in the front beer garden. The comfy couch in the living room opens up into sleeper bed. Stairs go upstairs to our office space. There is a door that creates privacy for you downstairs; however, the house is a little squeaky, so you will hear foot steps upstairs as we access the space during office hours and often in the evening to access our merchandise stock for the brewery. We only access the office space through the brewery, and never via your space downstairs.
Our micro-brewery home is located one block from downtown Historic Fairhaven. There are beautiful boutique shops just a stroll around the corner, and great restaurants with some excellent happy hours & food. Obviously, we think Stones Throw Brewery is the best place for a beer, but if you want wine or cocktails we love visiting the Black Cat. Access to the Inter-Urban Trail is across the road. You can bike south towards Fairhaven Park (5min), Arroyo Park (15-20min), Larrabee State Park (45min) or you can bike/walk north into downtown Bellingham which takes you out over the water along the Taylor Dock Board Walk and past Woods Coffee. In the summer time the Community Boating Center is open and you can easily rent a paddle board/paddle boat for some fun sightseeing on Bellingham Bay. A block and a half away you will find our local grocery store, Haggens. Very convenient.
  • Awesome place!! Really cool location right next to the brewery. Nadine was quick to respond and check in/out was super easy. The place was very clean and well decorated. I even recommended it to some local friends for a stay-cation. Thanks so much!!

  • Super location and easy to find. Great brewery! Loved having a beer and then walking a few steps to the sweet accommodations for the evening! Would stay here again without hesitation! Price is right. Place is super clean. Thank you!

  • Great hosts, communication and environment. We will return for the beer, er ah, bed... okay, both!

  • We lived in Bellingham and were back for a visit - what an awesome opportunity to stay at Stones Throw! We have always loved this brewery, and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to stay there. The hosts had great communication it’s a unique experience to stay at a local brewery. The location couldn’t be better, within walking distance of all the cute shops in Fairhaven. The place is clean and cozy. We loved our stay!

  • We had a nice stay at Nadines Place. Loved the location, within walking distance to the cute town of Fairhaven.

    Christina2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at the guest house and it’s still as excellent as it was a year ago. Clean, great check-in process, and conveniently located to all the fun things Fairhaven has to offer. And of course the beer was great! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to visit Bellingham.

    Keira2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This guest house is awesome! Probably best for a couple as the space isn't huge. It was great that the front door opens right onto the brewery's patio, giving a more open feel. During the afternoon and early evening you could definitely notice there were people nearby and hear the din of conversation, but it was more than quiet enough for bedtime. Having beer merely steps away is a major convenience.

    Nicolas2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in Fairhaven. Within walking distance to everything we love. Great price and amenities.

Sir Cedric Cedar Treehouse is a unique accommodation that will inspire you and form a lasting impression. Creative expression, hand-hewn craftsmanship, and functional design combine for a tranquil getaway. This 4-foot-wide Western Red Cedar passes directly through the middle of the Treehouse without a single bolt driven into it. The majestic presence of Sir Cedric and the quiet within this handcrafted-with-love-abode is truly amazing, all created with your comfort in mind.
CONTINUATION The smell of cedar welcomes you into the three open-concept rooms, including a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. You progressively step up in elevation from one room to the next as you circle the tree, ending in the cozy, nest-like bedroom ( with a 100% organic mattress ). A spacious deck off the kitchen with a propane barbecue and comfortable chairs is surrounded by mature trees and a southern vista overlooking the inviting firepit. The kitchen has a sink with a two-burner cook top, a small refrigerator and a varied selection of pots, pans, and cooking related utensils. The Outhouse ( only 15 ft from Sir Cedric staircase ) is like no other in it's uniqueness of character and spaciousness with a bit of whimsey to boot. The year round open to air shower ( very private and next to the outhouse ) accommodates 2 people quite nicely and may easily be the highlight experience of your stay. • It was excellent, a perfect getaway for a couple in a beautiful area. Not to far from downtown Bellingham but you feel far from town.

  • Sir Cedric will exceed your expectations. Scott was kind enough to add some personal touches as he knew we were there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. He was also prompt to clear the walkways after a windstorm over night left branches everywhere. The treehouse was extremely clean and cozy. We will definitely be back!

    Tyler2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sir Cedric is an absolute delight and the pictures just don’t do it justice. From the time you round the corner from guest parking and approach, everything is thoughtfully designed and laid out. My husband and I celebrated our tenth anniversary together and wanted a place to absolutely disconnect. We got even more than we bargained for. Scott made sure we didn’t have to think about much, welcoming us with a “Happy Anniversary” banner, dessert for our evening stay, and fixings for breakfast sandwiches the following morning. He delivered superb hospitality and it was very much appreciated.

  • PHENOMENAL. We cant say enough about Sir Cedric's treehouse, the beautiful cedar its builtaround, and the man who put all his love and energy into making it such a special place. We like to seek out the unusual rare AirBNB finds and this one is on top of our Must-Return list. All the little touches and secrets and whimsy that Scott has laboriously and sneakily placed throughout the house and grounds is truly magical. If you want a relaxing, exciting, intriguing place to stay - this is the place for you!!!

    Curtis2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This stay is the utmost treehouse experience. Scott is such a kind, warm, generous host who created this one of kind dreamlike experience with sir Cedric the cedar quite literally at the heart of it all. You have everything you need at your disposal while still being a simple and relaxing stay. Scott is full of local knowledge and youre close to everything in Bellingham. I will be back to see both Scott and sir Cedric - 10/10 highly recommend!

  • The other reviews already nailed the amazing experience but one more couldn't hurt. This spot is perfect for a weekend getaway. Scott was a fantastic host and Sir Cedric's treehouse is a quirky marvel!

    Travis2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous treehouse with great personal touches for each guest. Scott is great, he was able to let us check-in early and gave us a late check-out without us even asking. Location is a bit out of the way, about a 20 minute drive from downtown Bellingham. The bed is very comfortable. Would recommend bringing along a sleeping eye mask unless you like to rise with the sun, as there are no blinds or curtains. Although the outside does have a bit of that outhouse smell, it is very nice! Has a gorgeous stone sink and heater inside. Wasn't cold even in the middle of the night, same goes for the treehouse itself. Highly recommend Sir Cedric for your next outing in the Bellingham/Ferndale area!

  • I planned this for a surprise getaway for my husband's brithday. We were pleasantly surprised with the welcome sign and also the birthday banner (so thoughtful) - the lighting up to the treehouse really created a nice ambiance - the shower was great and we just loved all of the hard work, creativity and attention to detail! Scott is a great host!

A little cottage in Chuckanut Village, nestled creek side with a wide view of the bay. A huge garden to explore and graze from, cozy greenhouse, chicken tree house for the hens, kayaks to paddle into the bay, private hot tub, large fire pit, and BBQ.
This is a rustic little cottage in Chuckanut Village, nestled literally creek side. This dynamic hangout beckons you to kick up your feet in the eclectic garden with curvy raised beds and a chicken tree house. We also have sweet little greenhouse built from mostly up-cycled materials. Come collect your own eggs and graze from the garden, and stay a while. Hot tub and >5 kayaks available. We list the Hobbit House currently as a two night minimum stay. However, occasionally we have single nights left available, and you CAN make a request for those. We do have an upcharge of $30 for those single nights to cover for the extra cleaning. The cottage echos the designer main house, connected by boardwalk and lovely private garden. Hostess is a horticulturalist who loves to share creative thoughts. Watch the tides change, and smell the salt air, pick some greens for your salad from the garden and treat your palate to some fresh flavors. This retreat is ideal for one or two guests, as there is just one queen-size bed. Children are welcome as well, but please note that this space is small-- we call it the Hobbit House for a reason!-- and it is not child-proofed. The Hobbit House has a nice little galley (kitchen) inside with a mini fridge, two-burner hot plate, and toaster/convection oven. The kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs from our chickens, coffee & tea with all the fixings, a few other breakfast goodies, and cooking essentials (spices, olive oil, etc.) all included in the price of your visit! We appreciate if you eat red meat to BBQ it outside in the outdoor kitchen area adjacent to the Hobbit House. The shower is SEPARATE from the cottage. The shower house is combined with the BBQ /outdoor kitchen space, which has a somewhat limited hot water, but is just fine for showers for 2 people in a row. We have had no complaints about people running out of hot water. We also provide environmentally friendly shower products for you to use, if you should choose to use them. The space feels very beachy/nautical. Please note that we have a composting toilet. We have a high sensitivity to this marine environment and our mutual stewardship of this special retreat.
Incredible little historic village setting. Old and young, a blend of very friendly, mellow dog lovers.
  • We had a really wonderful time. The view was beautiful, the space was clean and stylish. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away.

    Aaron2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing space - truly a retreat! We loved everything about the stay and definitely plan to be back!

    Kristi2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a peaceful getaway. The kitchen is great for making small meals and the hot tub was the best for soaking in the evening. We loved the quiet and also got to enjoy the bay with the kayaks on a rare sunny afternoon. The bed was a bit hard and old, but other than that the cottage has every amenity you would need for a weekend getaway. The hosts are so great, really easy to communicate and we enjoyed our stay.

    Jessica 2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A special spot, I could go on and on about the location and the character and the charm and all the special touches. But those are for you to discover! What you should know additionally is that this such a well run little cabin! The hosts have created something amazing here and they run it very well- balancing the needs of their guests, their neighbors, themselves, and especially the environment. It shows in all the details. We will definitely come back and we highly recommend hiking the Rock Trail in Larabee SP and going into Bellingham (don’t miss Penny Lane Emporium & Aladdin Antiques if you like vintage items!).

    Lori2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Alison’s homestead exceeded our expectations! Hard to express how comfortable the space felt. The pictures only give you a small teaser for the natural beauty her property has! Being right there on the river was magical. Bellingham and Fairhaven had way more to offer than expected, and this home was a wonderful way to begin and end each day!

    Joslyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful sanctuary--definitely for solo or duo. Outstanding host, too. Very communicative. A special place for sure.

  • What a treat! This location makes for a perfect weekend away in an unbeatable location.

    London2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Treat yourself and stay here!! The views from your bed, the clean and HOT hot tub! A composting toilet which is the normal way to goooo. The train chugging by and the brook gurgling. It. Is. A. Dream. Cannot wait to come back.

This is a small cozy cabin on the creek, nestled amongst the towering cedar trees. You'll enjoy peaceful outdoor fires and relaxing soaks in the cedar wood-fired tub. Watch wildlife from the back porch or take the canoe for your own private creek excursion. A short ride east takes you into Mt. Baker's vast wilderness where you can enjoy the glaciers, mountains, rivers and trails. Head west and quench your thirst and hunger at Northfork Brewery and Pizzeria.
This cabin has an open loft design which has a ladder and low ceiling. The bathroom with shower and sink is very small like a boat bathroom. This is a very small cabin 16ft x 16ft. There is one multi level deck, one porch and a dock on the creek. Please refrain from using candles, it is a log cabin. There are some candles but only for decoration, thanks. Feel free to use our cast iron pans, just no soap please, hot water and condition with oil, thanks. The cabin is on a small lot with neighboring houses nearby but they are both vacant. The street is a dead end and very quiet but the main road nearby can be a bit noisy but not at night. You may think our rate is high but this is the whole cabin, we do not charge for extra people or pets!
  • Loved our stay! Second time through, and it just gets better each time!!

    Cole2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We did not expect such a cozy and beautiful place so close to home! April’s place was a perfect to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We took advantage of the canoe and spent most the day in the sun and water. It was great to be able to bring our dog with us also! I look forward to staying here again in the future!

    Morocco2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We love this little cabin! This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed and will likely stay again.

    Jennifer2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • As s couple traveling the area and hiking we couldn't have found a better home base. What a great cabin! No words on the wood firehot tub... so awesome. Thank you!!!

    Casey2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cabin with space to relax and beautiful backyard. Would definitely book again.

    Alicia2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the cabin! Only disappointment was that the hot tub was out of order but April had given us a heads up a few days beforehand so we knew that going in. The setting is beautiful, we had a fire each night and my daughters loved catching minnows off the dock. It is probably the most well layed out 16x16ft cabin I have ever been in. Our family of 4 stayed here comfortably and would definitely visit again!

    Robin2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • April's place was absolutely fabulous! The cabin was small and cozy, thoughtfully arranged, and had everything we needed. There is a burn ban so we weren't able to use the fire pit nor hot tub, which was a let down but just more reason to come back! The canoe was fun to take for a spin, and the small pond was the perfect size for our dogs to play in literally all day. There is some road noise as others have noted, but it was easy to overlook with the beautiful surroundings. The property is great, deck is fantastic, the street is quiet, and there are some great places to see and hike nearby. Definitely want to go back! Had a perfect weekend. Thanks, April!

    Malerie2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks, April, for a great stay! The cabin was super comfy and had everything we needed. Having such a useable kitchen was perfect. Sitting out on the deck was a treat. We loved being so close to so many trails and still having easy access to Bellingham.
