Seaways is situated on the edge of a village called Fridaythorpe. It has fantastic east facing views. All the huts were hand made on site, so there is nothing like them any where else.
  • This place far exceeded our expectations, so clean and tidy and the communal kitchen area is fab! The kids loved spotting the fish in the pond and the cafe next door is very handy. Just perfect for our last minute get away, would highly recommend!

  • Great little place. Our little girl loves glamping and this tiny house didn't disappoint.

  • Micheal was very helpful and replied fast, was able to accommodate an extra night as well after I’d not booked enough nights! The tiny house was so cute and cozy, very warm. The kitchen was a good size and easy to use. The pond was cute, kids loved it! Was a great stay, would stay again!

  • A great place to stopover or use as a base for exploring. Comfy, clean and with some good facilities. Highly recommend Seaways cabins, as well as the cafe! My boyfriend raved about the egg bap.

  • Great place to stay, spotlessly clean, on site cafe with delicious food. Hosts were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

  • What a true hidden gem in the Yorkshire countryside. The value for money is amazing! Clean, tidy and a very comfortable bed, the kitchenette was well equipt, and even had a fresh pot of milk ready for a cuppa. The bathroom was surprisingly modern for a chalet and as I said, spotlessly clean throughout. The chalet was next door to the kitchen should you need to make and prepare meals, we didn’t need to use it but had a nosey and it was lovely, clean and tidy and the decor was so nice. The chalet is right next door to the cafe. We grabbed a bacon buttie and a coffee on our first morning and it was so so good. I am 100% sure we will be coming back again! Communication with the host was impeccable, and even helped me to find a lovely dog walk along the wolds. Thankyou once again for a truly lovely stay! We will be seeing you again soon.

Lots of seating outside, next to garden and pond. The accommodation is close to road but surprisingly quiet at night. Michael, the host, is very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thanks Michael.

The Hayloft provides self catering holiday cottage accommodation fitted out to a high standard. The property is located in the pretty little village of Bainton situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds close to many tourist destinations such as Beverley, Hull, York and the east coast. The cottage has a private gravelled garden area with outdoor furniture, set within one acre of private land and includes off road parking. Free Wi-Fi is available. We welcome two well behaved dogs.
The cottage has its own small garden/seating area. This is enclosed and isolated from the farmhouse next door. The original exterior staircase is only used as a fire exit, with an internal staircase providing access to the first floor bedroom and bathroom. There is log burning fire supplied with complimentary logs. Both bedrooms have king size beds, a television and individual bath and shower rooms. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with separate fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. Iron / ironing board, hairdryer and towels are provided.
Bainton is situated in the heart of the wolds and has a number of public footpaths running though it including The Minster Way. Route 66 which is part of the national cycle network runs close by. The Wold Village restaurant is only a short walk from the cottage. There is a michelin star restaurant called The Pipe and Glass just 5 miles away in South Dalton, their food is excellent and the bar serves local ales. One footpath takes you across country to The Star Inn at North Dalton who also serve excellent food.
  • Lovely cottage in great location with lovely hosts. Everything we needed and much more was there for use in the cottage. Lots of little extras including biscuits for the dogs made such a nice welcome. Log burner was so nice and cozy on a stormy night and lovely comfy beds. Ideal chilled break

    Janine2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for the weekend as it is near to my Dad's house in Driffield and we were visiting him after a hospital stay. It was the perfect base for us - only 15 minutes easy drive from Driffield and also to Sledmere for walking our dog at Sledmere House (definitely recommended). The cottage is gorgeous - clean, warm and bright with lovely welcoming touches when we arrived such as the heating being turned up and the lamps and radio on. The garden is fully enclosed and overlooks a grassy paddock with some bird feeders that attracted lots of robins right opposite the patio doors - wonderful to watch as we ate our breakfast, although our dog was a little disgruntled! Storm Ciara battered the cottage the second night, but we stayed inside and felt very safe and cosy. Would definitely recommend staying here ☺️

  • We stayed here over Christmas with our friends and our children. We had such a fantastic time. The Hayloft had all the Xmas Dec's up and Karen and Andy were so attentive, nothing was too much trouble and we loved the little added touches which made our stay even better. Thank you again :)

  • What a fantastic place! Beautiful home, great location, friendly welcoming hosts. Highly recommended. Check out The Wellington Inn nearby in Lund for delicious food in a lovely pub.

  • Great hosts. Lots of extra touches. Facilities just what we wanted. Great to have own parking spaces right by property. Immaculately clean. A very relaxing stay with some great pubs around locality. Many thanks.

  • The Hayloft was ideal for us, and a great base to explore the east coast. Very cosy due to the underfloor heating and log burner. The place was super clean and the beds were super comfy, definitely among the the highest standard we have come across in the many self catering places we have stayed in over the years. Very welcoming and friendly hosts but in no way intrusive. Great little touches to welcome us. Good communication and easy no-hassle check in. Great place to stay

  • What a lovely venue with a very nice vue from the pod. The pond made a lovely relaxing noise. We arrived to Mike who was very friendly and even offered a free upgrade. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Mike was very understanding when we needed to change dates last minute, so thank you very much and I'd recommend you and your gleaming camp to anyone x

  • Amazing facilities, so clean and an absolute bargain. If you’re staying in the area don’t look anywhere else

    Alice2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We booked last minute and I’m so glad we did. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stay with the dog whilst visiting family. The pod was really cosy! It had plenty of plug sockets, tea and coffee sachets and the bed was comfy. It was very clean and quite spacious with the dog. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were also very clean with hot water. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook with. The on site cafe is great for breakfast and all the staff there are very friendly! It’s not too expensive for food either! Mike was a great host answering our questions and giving us advice on where we could walk the dog and places to go for dinner. There is a petrol station and shop within walking distance but other than that you need to drive at least 3miles. We ate in the Victoria Inn in Wetwang (recommended by Mike) but had to drive there and back. Would definitely recommend this place!

    Louisa2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabins are beautiful, set around a pond with koi carp-the children spent ages watching them. Many thanks for a peaceful night!

    Beren2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We do quite a lot of glamping, and I have to say that these are the nicest pods we've ever stayed in. They are immaculately clean and very warm & cosy. The bed was very comfortable, and there were some nice little touches in the pod such as tea & coffee sachets, a small table & chairs and plenty of sockets for charging devices. The shared kitchen and toilet/shower facilities were also immaculately clean and well equipped. We had breakfast in the onsite cafe, which was both good value and tasty. Seaways is ideally located for the East coast (Bridlington etc.) and historic York. I also recommend a visit to the deserted medieval village at Wharram Percy, which is only a few miles away. Mike is very friendly and definitely deserves/lives up to the 'super host' title. He clearly cares about what he does and the experience he offers guests. We'll definitely be back again. Thanks Mike, keep up the good work!

Stunning detached holiday cottage which sleeps 6 guests in spacious accommodation and enclosed grounds. Surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds and situated on the Wolds Way Trail, close to York and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Children and pets are welcome, making this property the perfect holiday destination for all the family.
Detached property which is truly a home from home. Unique features including open beam ceilings and traditional latch doors.
Situation in the pretty Wolds village of Huggate, with the Wolds Inn 100 metres away. The villages has a medievel church and the deepest well in England.
  • The most beautiful cottage, immaculately presented. Stylish, pristine, but so comfortable and welcoming. Freshly baked cake and a bottle of wine on our arrival helped make this an absolute favourite Airbnb. The village is delightful, we didn’t try the pub but the menu looked lovely. Easy to get the park and ride into York. You will want for nothing at this incredible property and we will most definitely stay here again. It has a 5 star rating but we would give it 6!!

    Michaela2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous cottage! Perfect setting for a weekend away : 2 couples and 2 dogs. The welcome pack, and the cake in particular, was amazing. The facilities great, cozy, nothing wanting. We loved the log burner and the 2 lounges. The garden was a treat too - fully secure as well as lots of areas to sit and to explore. The village is well situated - a pub 2 minutes walk away, walks on the doorstep and lovely places such as Beverley to visit nearby. Highly recommend this place and we will be planning to return.

    Andrea2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • I would really like to keep this perfect cottage a secret from everyone but that would not be fair to Angela our wonderful host or to others looking to book it. Rose Cottage is every bit as gorgeous as it looks in the photos. It is warm and cosy, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. We arrived on New Year's Day to welcoming warmth, twinkling Christmas lights and a delicious hamper of goodies including a freshly baked victoria sponge, wine and local eggs, milk, bread and jam. The house is so comfortable we found it hard to get out each morning and looked forward to getting back again each afternoon to the wood burning stove and great collection of DVDs. The area around Huggate is lovely to walk in and we used the maps provided in the cottage to explore locally as well as going further afield to spectacular Flamborough Head, pretty Pocklington, York and Hull which are all easy to reach. I would definitely recommend booking Rose Cottage... although not too much as we want to be able to go back again too. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Lorraine and family

    Lorraine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice cottage, very spacious and clean! Great location with a brilliant country pub! Lovely welcome basket on arrival with a home made cake that was delicious. There were six adults and 2 dogs and we had plenty of space, the 2 bathrooms really makes it easy for getting ready! The kitchen is full of everything you could need.

Well Head Barn is situated in the Yorkshire Wolds in the small hamlet of Towthorpe, which consists of 2 farms and 4 houses. It is ideal for anybody, but especially for people who like walking and biking. There is a good supply of trails in the area and Dalby Forest is only 1/2 hour away, which is perfect for these activities. For people travelling by car, we have the East Coast, York, Castle Howard and Sledmere house all within a 15-20 mile radius.
We converted our property from an old barn and it still retains some of the old beams. Ideal for large families and groups of friends. All the bedrooms are of a good size and the lounge is spacious. Well equipped kitchen and utility. Private enclosed garden at rear of property makes it safe for children. It is approximately a mile off the main road, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. There is a working farm next door but their traffic is minimal and does not pass close to this house.
  • Well Head Barn is lovely- nicer than the photos show. The location is great - right in the countryside but only 35mins from York centre. Plenty of places a short drive away to eat and a local shop less than 10 mins away. Good sized enclosed garden for dogs (or children!). House was really warm with lovely wood burner in the sitting room. Everywhere in the house was clean and fresh. Lovely friendly host - highly recommend!!!

    Bernie2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The photos don't do the place justice, this is a beautifully converted space, perfect for our two families travelling together, with loads of space, lovely bedrooms, and spacious living-room for us to hang-out together.

  • Large spacious barn conversion with 4 bed rooms upstairs. Two doubles, each with a large ensuite. Two twins with a very large bathroom in between and a toilet downstairs. Large living room and kitchen dinner. Lots of extra supplied like milk, eggs from the farm, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, washing powder, washing up liquid, and lots more. The kind of thing you normally have to go and buy wasting holiday time. will be back!

However it’s only right to shout about this from the rooftops. It’s an amazing place in an amazing setting! So many personal touches but won’t give them away and ruin the surprises. We loved our weekend and will be back this year Thanks Anna!!!!

  • We stayed here for 2 nights in December and had the loveliest stay! Everything in the barn is well thought out and makes the stay extra special. Although we did not meet Anna in person unfortunately she was excellent when messaging and was very helpful with information about the local area. We will definitely be returning! :)

  • We absolutely loved our stay. A much needed relaxing break, thanks Anna 😊

    Katie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property is so beautiful, the views are stunning and you can truly relax for the duration of your stay. We made the most of the hot tub even through some very rough weather and took some dvds with us due to the forecast! It is luxurious, clean and a great place to stay if you'd like to escape from the world for a weekend. Anna is a friendly, responsive host and nothing was too much trouble for her, but she also left you in peace to enjoy your stay. It's worth every penny & if you're reading this review whilst contemplating booking the Blacksmiths shop... just do it! You won't be disappointed.

  • Five stars isn’t enough! If I could give more, I would. We stayed in the Wine Down and it was sooo beautiful. Location is beautiful and not too far from York (we used the Grimston park and ride). Gorgeously decorated and Vicky very thoughtfully provided everything we might need, from fresh eggs to a bottle of rose to welcome us! Can’t wait to come back

  • Amazing! They have thought of everything you could possibly need, view from the hot tub is gorgeous and it’s so quiet. Perfect for a few days doing nothing. I can’t think of anything that was missing, small touches like everything you need to brew up and the wolds hot choc. Even a Christmas tree, it was like a home from home and I’m already looking at when I can go back! Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

  • Such a gorgeous place! Would visit again for sure! Nice little touches like Prosecco, milk, tea bags, homemade cakes, sugar etc! So peaceful and cosy! Thank you for a lovely stay! If only it was longer x

  • Anna’s lodge was beautifully decorated, the crowning piece being the huge comfy bed that looked over the countryside. The sunrise was particularly beautiful and could be seen out of the bedroom patio doors. Lots of local walks followed by a relaxing hot tube under the stars. Easy to park, warm, well equipped kitchen, local recommendations left on the table and lots of little extra touches such as bathrobes and home cooked cake and bread. Would love to return.

    Emma2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing! The Hideaway really is first class for an incredible romantic weekend in the Yorkshire countryside. Anna was a fantastic host, she left us to enjoy the facilities of the barn, offering advice if we needed it. The homemade bread and preserves were incredible! And the bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was a really thoughtful touch. The barn was absolutely spotless, with everything you need. Good job really, considering how awful the weather was! We’ll definitely be back! Thanks again, Dave & Denise x

  • Wolds Away was a treat. The accommodation was beautiful. Comfortable and stylish. It being the run up to Christmas, the property was beautifully decorated and cosy, which was a lovely touch to find when we opened the door. Lots of little extra touches including cakes in the cake tin and Prosecco in the fridge. When we needed extra towels, they arrived within minutes. Views are great. Twinkling lights outside led us to the accommodation. Didn't try the hot tubs but sure that would be a great experience. The village pub is great value and we always use a fantastic cafe in the nearby market town of Pocklington called Union Street cafe, when we are in the area. It's a proper treat.

  • Superb! We were welcomed with fizz and cupcakes for our night away in the super 3 bedroom lodge. The village pub was just a short walk away, along the dark village roads - but Vicky provided a bright torch in the lodge for our stroll there. The pub food was brilliant. The lodge had everything we needed and was cleaned to a very high standard. The hot tub was great. The lodge was toasty warm for our night in January. Good showers & lovely toiletries were provided. Only problem was that we only stayed for 1 night :-) Thank you Vicky and family xx

Our home is a 200-year-old farm building beautifully converted for comfortable and spacious living. Guests will have access to a private sitting/breakfast room, a private bathroom with cast iron bath and separate shower and a large double bedroom with oak beams and views over the garden and countryside. The Minster Way footpath runs right past the house - you can be walking on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in two minutes.
Tea and coffee making facilities are provided (with biscuits) in the private sitting room. Cereal, toast and preserves, fruit and yogurt are available for breakfast.
We are right in the Yorkshire Wolds, with lots of walking paths nearby. The Wolds Way National Trail, the Chalkland Way and the Pilgrimage of Grace Heritage Trail all pass within a few miles of us. A short drive will take you to a range of magnificent stately homes: Castle Howard, Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are all within 40 minutes. The historic city of York, with its medieval walls, glorious Minster, atmospheric shambles (and, of course, Betty's tea rooms) is only 20 miles away. Closer still is beautiful Beverley, with its dramatic Minster, thriving Saturday market, restaurants and shops. The spectacular coast, with its cliffs and sandy beaches is within easy reach. If you are a birdwatcher then seeing the Puffins and Gannets at Bempton Cliffs is a great day out. East Yorkshire is full of good restaurants; only five miles away is the Pipe and Glass, which proudly holds a Michelin Star, but if fish and chips or a good Sunday roast is your preference, there are plenty of places to choose from. The Wolds Village restaurant, art gallery and craft shop is only two miles away.
  • We both felt that our 3 night stay at The Granary was very good. The private rooms had everything we expected and required – very private and self-contained, spotless and most comfortable. We wanted a base for exploring the Yorkshire Wolds for the first time, and The Granary ticked all the boxes. Centrally located in a beautiful village and within easy reach of wonderful countryside, a Michelin starred restaurant and a wide range of different walks. Throughout our stay we had fantastic assistance from our host Louise and her husband Peter – suggestions and guidance on the best walks; providing a lot of information and even local contacts for our special interests; direct assistance during our stay. Before we arrived Louise always responded very quickly and comprehensively to any communication. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Highly recommended.

    John2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was a delight to stay with Louise & Peter's in their wonderful home. They were great to communicate with, and tremendously accommodating and hospitable. Their home was the perfect place to rest and relax whilst I was cycling in the Yorkshire Wolds. Highly recommended.

  • Wow. This was a wonderful space, kind hosts and great location. Hope to be back.

    Elizabeth2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome from Louise on such a damp miserable evening was much appreciated. Our spacious bedroom, together with bathroom and sitting/dining room were such a treat in a smartly converted yet relaxed old barn. The light breakfast was a real bonus!!

    Carol2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely! Louise and her husband went out of their way to welcome us. The space is beautiful: there’s a really roomy bedroom with a comfortable bed, a luxurious bathroom with both claw-foot tub and separate shower, and a sitting room to relax or eat in. Our hosts thought of many little touches to make our stay wonderful. The town offers pleasant walks & plenty of hiking trails available. Highly recommend!

  • Northfield Lodge is an ideal spot to spend a quiet, relaxing time in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside on this private farming estate. The bedrooms are well appointed and Anna's breakfasts are superb. Whilst the cost is higher than most airbnb accommodation in the area, you get what you pay for and, believe me, a stay here is a memorable occasion.

    John2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect place for walkers to reward themselves with a treat. A super comfortable bed, an Australian - sized separate shower, a bath with all the features, all in a most beautiful setting right on the path of the Yorkshire Wolds way. You might be lucky to score a room because it normally functions as a high end Shooting Lodge during the Season. But Anna does use some of the rooms for a bed and breakfast, when there is a vacancy. Although priced at the top end, it is worth every penny. The setting is spectacular with views of the Wolds in all directions; there is peace all around the property. Anna has created gardens to blend with the building and it is worth seeing how she has developed the property from a run down farm house to the beautifully planned and decorated property that it is now. Nothing is too much trouble. Despite being run off her feet, she obliged with a taxi ride back from Thixendale, which avoided another circular walk back to Huggate. There are great eating places a short distance from the property and the local pub is in easy walking distance. The property has good internet and mobile phone connections for those who must stay in touch with the world.

    Stephen2019-05-31T00:00:00Z

  • This is a quaint dwelling beautifully dressed and homely for a short weekend stay. The house is warm and cosy wonderful lay out with superb comfortable beds and stylish bath super high cleanliness . I would recommend taking a little food stock as no local shop of an evening if you run out of anything ie essential Chocolate bar when all gone... welcome tea coffee and biscuits were much appreciated by all. Good central location for visiting areas seaside as well as York. I would recommend for a couple get away from the working busy life... it is calm The free tickets to the bonfire night as well as the house visit tickets were very special treat on top of the stay. All Sledmere staff were happy to help and so very informative/ knowledgeable nothing was too much for anyone ..

  • The lodge itself was immaculately clean and beautifully presented. Brilliantly located for the coast/ the Yorkshire Moors/ York. Michaela was easily contactable and just the right amount of hands off. The grounds of Sledmere House were gorgeous even in February. Local pub served an excellent Sunday roast. Everyone in the local shops very friendly. Fantastic farm shop and gift shop. If you arrive on a Sunday, take some milk as Sledmere is closed on a Monday. We had a perfect few days away.

Highly recommend for those that don't want the hustle and bustle of town.
