Built to feel like the you never left the outdoors, cozy up on the bed and enjoy the open views. The perfect spot to get away from all the Covid-19 craziness!
Our Birchwood Hideout is a one bedroom safari style tent located in the relaxing woods of Salisbury, 30 minutes outside of Concord, NH. Newly hand-built in the woods of our home, a mile off road and not found by GPS! 120 square feet, built with rustic birchwood & canvas on a sturdy platform, and including a small deck. Escape and enjoy a chance to unwind in this secluded forest. There is one bedroom, outhouse (about 15 yards outside the tent), fire pit, and picnic table entirely welcome to you. No need to bring fire wood! For those who stay longer than 1 night, our shower and bathroom are available for use at our house, located a quarter of a mile uphill. Some fun activities in the area can include paddling, fishing, and swimming in the Blackwater river. You can also bring bikes to go for a spin in the neighborhood or the The Northern Rail Trail, a nice bike trail near us. We are also on the side of Mt. Kearsarge, and can direct you to two state parks that you can hike trails up that. Or bushwhack from our place! Inside the tent there is one queen bed, for which we will provide clean bedding and a goose down comforter for chilly nights. There will be s'more supplies, eating utensils, a butane mini stove, a mini grill, basic cooking utensils, fire pit cooking supplies, games, and books. We do have our own dog Trixie, who will mainly reside at our house, but she might get excited by the visitors.
Walking and hiking right out your door! We can help with ideas for a hiking adventure if you like. The The Kitchen in Andover serves amazing breakfast and lunch foods, and some dinner servings. It is located about 5 miles north. The Refinery is fairly new, we haven't tried it but hear great things about it. It's about 8 miles north of the site. *********** Due to Covid-19 the Kitchen is doing most of their food as take out. ******************** The Barnstore, 7 miles south of us, has great food, but is not open on a regular basis. Call ahead to see. They serve locally grown meats. Try the pork chop breakfast!! Another great place for breakfast and lunch is Tuckers, located 15 miles east in New London. Well worth the trip for good food! For a good pizza at a good price, try the CrossRoads Country Store, about 6 miles south. Gas, basic necessities, and homemade cookies are their specialities.
  • We stayed here on a very cold night and Dawn made sure that we were well prepared by giving us plenty of blankets to stay warm throughout the night. Definitely would come back again!

    Maia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! It is a very clean, cozy, and unique space. Perfect for a get-away from technology :) Dawn is also very nice and I highly recommend staying at her place.

  • Would love to come back to this site during a warmer season! The tent is very cute and comfortable! Highly suggest checking this out

    Kelsey2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • The space was absolutely magical and Dawn went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and safe arrival. Could not recommend this space and the kind humans that host it. Truly a perfect stay, so fortunate to have had the support of Dawn and her family during the snowy arrival. Really an exceptional spot!

    Margaret2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Glancing is the way to go! Not only does New Hampshire’s beauty speak for itself, but the place was cozy, stylish, and unique! Dawn was an incredible host and willing to put in any extra effort we could have asked for. If you are looking for a quiet unique and comfortable space to have alone time or get to know your friends/significant other better, this is the place for you. Even in the winter it was a great experience. The heaters kept us warm and the lights added a magical holiday touch. 10/10!

    Shannon2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was a great host. She did a great job keeping in contact with us incase we needed any extra items that she could deliver. The place was clean and super cozy, and looked just like the pictures. Her family did a great job helping take care of us as well and her son helped us start a fire when we couldn’t. All in all, we had a great experience and were very well taken care of.

    Salina2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s cold in the winter but that’s expected. Was a wonderful stay since we knew what we’d be getting into. Was a good stay. Lots of stuff in the place that was unexpected. Coffee. Hot chocolate. Things for s’mores. Will stay again!

Socially distance in style! Wake up to the call of loons from this tiny and cozy lakefront cabin. Fast internet, stocks of toliet paper, and nestled at the remote base of Mt. Kearsarge, who could want more? With unobstructed views of Ragged Mountain, this location affords year-round adventure on the protected south shore of Bradley Lake, abutting conservation land. 5 min. from Proctor, 90 min from Boston. This retreat mixes ample amenities with outdoor adventure!
In the warmer seasons enjoy easy access to hiking at abutting Mt. Kearsarge and Winslow State Parks, a 58-mile long rail trail for running or biking, mountain biking on abutting conservation lands, swimming on the far end of Bradley Lake, and golfing at Kearsarge Valley Golf Course. Canoe and kayak out into the lake (boats provided), or fish for smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch from the dock. Spend evenings catching fireflies and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. In the winter enjoy downhill skiing at Mt Sunapee & Ragged Mountain, ice fishing, and unlimited backcountry (XC) skiing & snowshoeing. Spend evenings cozied up by the wood stove with a glass of wine. It is the perfect escape and has everything you need so that you won’t have to leave if you don’t want to (and you won’t want to!). Highly recommend this place to anybody! Probably my favorite Airbnb I’ve stayed at ever.

  • The house was just what me and my family were looking for to unplug and unwind! The house was perfectly clean when we arrived and had all the things we needed to cook and make coffee which was a plus! There were plenty of trails and mountains to explore nearby which was perfect for us. Alexandra also left an awesome list of places to hike nearby and places to eat for all meals which came in handy. The decor cute and the cabin had a super cozy vibe me and my family enjoyed. I would 10/10 recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a great little getaway!

    Jennie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

The cabin gets nice and warm quickly, and has everything you need to cook and enjoy. The location is just minutes away from skiing and hiking areas. Communication with Alexandra was clear, easy, and timely. She responded to all our questions and gave us lots of hiking suggestions. We all, including our 13 y.o. son, enjoyed hiking in the area and absolutely loved the cabin. We highly recommend this place!!! We hope to come back there again!

  • The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. It is not large and if someone is sleeping in the loft, you need to be able to get up the ladder. For its size, it is well laid out. The host was amazing. Fabulous communication and gracious.

  • Kim’s place was great. It has a true bnb style with a beautiful yard, wrap around porch and adorable decor inside. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was really bright and cozy. Her two dogs were sweethearts and she was a great host. We locked our keys in the car on our way out in the morning. She was nice enough to entertain us while we waited for AAA for 3 hours and we enjoyed talking with her and playing with the pups during that time. I look forward to staying with Kim again the next time I am in the area. Thanks Kim. 😊

We really enjoyed being right on the beach and the hospitality that Alfa and Eric showed including providing the canoe, kayaks and paddle boats as well as mulitiple areas on the property to relax and enjoy. Although the cottage is close to the main house, they provided us with our own space and were very gracious hosts. Loved also have the fire pits and grill areas. The cottage was very clean and they thought of nice touches like providing coffee and tea as well as some other essentials.

  • Alfa and Eric are great hosts. They are very responsive and nice. The property is perfect with a nice beach for kids to play and a fire pit at night. We had a wonderful time.

    Heather2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities and accommodation are best I’ve ever experienced. Best part was the full and sole access to the property’s private beach with grass. It was great for kids who want a large yard to play in right on the beach. The beach’s soft sand and very gradual decline to deeper water will make any parent’s concern around child safety greatly mitigated. The access to kayaks and paddle boats was a great treat. The fire pits on the property, grill, lounge chairs, and toys provide a great experience with much to do. Most of all the shaded areas give you plenty of space to chill and read books. While it is on a busy street the distance from the street mitigates concern for kids running into it. Light sleeps may also find the car noise a bit distracting. Overall the property and amenities and accommodations make it a must.

    Jason2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The property was beautiful, and the water was very clean! There was plenty to do between the fire pit, lake, canoes, and grill. The guest house is a bit small so it’s nice for an intimate get away.

    Nealisse2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time at Eric and Alfa’s. The place was perfectly clean for me and my 3 friends celebrating the 4th of July. Loved the open access we had to their boats the most, with a nice backyard to hangout in being up there as well. Overall they are just two nice people with a good listing!

  • The beach was the highlight of the stay. The location was remarkable. We were met by an outstanding hospitality.

Our home is located within easy distance to the lakes region and the White Mountain region. Minutes from parks, restaurants and dining, and art and culture. You’ll step back in time with the ambiance offered by Victorian architecture, once prevalent in this old NH mill town, close to Proctor Academy, Tilton School as well as outlet shopping. Ideal for couples and outdoor enthusiasts and, of course, business travelers.
Our first room is a large bedroom with four-poster queen size bed located on the second floor right off a shared reading nook and is situated in the turret of the home. It has a large connecting bathroom that has both a shower and a Victorian claw foot bath tub. The room also has a fireplace which is always filled with candles for additional ambiance.
We are located in a relatively quiet neighborhood on just a little over an acre of land. There are many restaurants located within a short drive of our location including some of the local chains like Applebee's, UNO and the 99. We are located two minutes away from the Franklin Opera House which periodically offers a variety of artistic performances.
  • Super congenial hosts in a lovely, peaceful, clean beautifully setup Victorian

  • SallyJane and Mark are wonderfully gracious hosts. My stay was short lived but a much needed reprieve. My stay, while only one night was so relaxing from the tub to the bed and a delightful breakfast spread. I haven't slept so soundly in quite some time. Fyi the room is on the second floor, but the stairs are not steep. Also, I wasn't sure what to expect as the mobile site has few shots of the room. So, I was happily surprised to see how beautifully appointed the room and adjoining bath was. The room itself has a sitting area, an incredibly comfortable bed in the turreted corner of the room and the bath had a clawed foot tub. There is a shower, but I didn't make use of it. However, I made full use of the tub as that's a rarity. My breakfast was a filling spread of fruit, yogurt and perfectly poached eggs especially enjoyed with the hosts who I asked to join me. What a great start to a full day of dance!

    Erica2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sally Jane and Mark are top notch! My mother and I have stayed with them several times and they are just the most thoughtful and generous people. You will not regret booking a stay with them! Above and beyond hospitality.

    Rachel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Mark and Sally were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were even kind enough to loan us lawn chairs for an event that we were attending. We also ran into traffic and got in later than expected, and they were very understanding and accommodating of our late arrival. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and charming in just about every way imaginable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. On a day when we we had to leave quickly in the morning, they provided coffee to go, and an assortment of Kind Bars. The next morning we had more time, and they prepared a breakfast that was both delicious and substantial. We would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a classic bed and breakfast experience with two great hosts!

    Jeffrey2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Traveling for us means who we meet is as important as where we go. We could not have asked for more with Sally and Mark in New Hampshire. They are the most genuinely kind and welcoming people we’ve ever met and we cannot wait to come back to stay with them in their beautiful home. What a special way to end our visit to New England!

    Manohar2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic experience! The hosts are genuine with their hospitality and thoughtfulness. The space was clean and easily accessible. The breakfast was excellent. It was especially enjoyable to visit with the hosts after breakfast and get to know them a bit. They provided whatever time we needed. A great experience and highly recommend you try it out.

    Glenn2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our visit was wonderful. The hosts are friendly and interesting, the house they renovated is amazing with its historical features, and the morning breakfast was amazing. The best hospitality of any AIRBNB places we have been to.

Located just 90 minutes from Boston in the quaint town of Andover, NH, it's conveniently located less than a half-mile from Andover Village and prestigious Proctor Academy, & just 20 minutes from Colby Sawyer College in New London.
Ragged Mtn State Forest & Proctor Academy's trails are at the end of the road behind the house. Arguably the most scenic part of the Northern Rail Trail is in Andover. Two truss-style covered bridges are in town adding to the quintessential New England charm of this area.
  • The home was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time there, and Andover is a very quaint and pretty town. Kym's home had all the amenities and space we needed to make our stay a great time. Our trip was somewhat obstructed because of the Covid-19 outbreak and the closing of the ski resorts. Nevertheless, we couldn't have had a better home to shelter in place. Frankly we loved it and will definitely consider staying there again.

  • Great little historic and eclectic place close to Ragged Mountain Resort. Place was very clean and stocked with all the things you will need for a weekend. Plenty of room for two families with kids if needed.

  • 3 bedroom cozy cottage with a nice layout. Very dog friendly. Walking distance to the lake. Comfy beds and everything you need. Electric wood stove. Cute little back porch area. Theresa responded quickly to all questions and check in/out was easy.. Just be aware if you are going in late winter or spring and the snow is melting or there has been rain that the driveway may be very muddy and you will need all-wheel drive to get thru..

    Cynthia2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

    Paul2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraine was an amazing hostess! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel right at home. She made homemade blueberry muffins for us which was very thoughtful and she went out of her way to bring more ice packs when she heard we needed some more for the cooler. The cabin was great! It does get cooler at night so I would recommend people to bring sweaters. I would definitely stay again:)

  • Extremely cute rustic cabin hidden away down the hill from the owner's property. Quite private, with very thoughtful touches such as electric candles to light the stairs at night, coffee, camp stove, grill, outhouse, firepit, cribbage board. Showers and great conversation available up at the house :D. Lorraine and her husband and cats are really lovely - we love cats but for those who don't, she was careful to keep them out of our way. She gave us great directions for a hike and let us borrow a map to make sure we could get there, which was very helpful. The only downside was it was a little bit buggy, as we were there after a rain.

    Rebecca2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect weekend escape. Lorraine and her husband Jay were lovely hosts and the cabin was cozy and peaceful. This is an especially good escape for those looking to totally unplug because cell phone service doesn’t work (we have AT&T) and we needed that extra nudge to totally unplug. Definitely a place we would come back to.

    Megan2018-10-08T00:00:00Z

Bedroom, living room and screened porch all are in same area. There is Air conditioning in bed room.
Our house is on the beginning of a dirt road that is well maintained. It is a quiet, rural area. We are 5 minutes from town.
  • My wife and I stayed for two days at the height of the foliage season and we could not have wished for a better place than Lorraine’s and Jay’s home. Both of them were warm, friendly and very helpful in giving us pointers for our excursions into the mountains and to the coast. Their place was very clean and cozy. Our bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the view of golden-amber fall leaves outside our window when waking up. We had a special parking request for a small trailer and our hosts were very accommodating in that regard! Overall highly recommended.

    Stefan2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jay and Lorraine's house lies in quiet and peaceful surroundings - we found it ideal for a good night's sleep. The bed is really comfortable. We cooked our meals in their well equipped kitchen and had lots of interesting conversations. Lorraine and Jay are most warm-hearted and open-minded people - real superhosts! We've stayed in many Airbnbs and we can highly recommend their place.

    Thorsten2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were a bit apprehensive as this was our first time using AirBNB and didn’t know what to expect. Lorraine and Jay were fantastic hosts and made us feel at home in their home from the minute we arrived. The space was just as described, WiFi was solid for those needing internet access, breakfast recommendations were spot on - My wife enjoyed the homemade Zucchini bread. We arrived our second night to find a roaring fire in the wood stove on a chilly evening it was fantastic. We had a short 30+ minute commute to visit our daughter at Plymouth State - the foliage views back and forth during our travel of the area were spectacular. The house is located a little out of the way but that just added to the scenic charm, we were in the center of downtown within 10 minutes and on I93 within 15 minutes.

    Gregg2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraine’s home is very welcoming and her family was so friendly and helpful we would highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting to visit the area, it was an hour from the wedding we attended, the ride was pleasant and beautiful

  • We had a really lovely stay at this Airbnb, Lorraine and her husband are great hosts and really made us feel welcome on a fall weekend. The room itself is very clean and the bed is super comfortable, and it felt like a true Airbnb experience being invited for breakfast and sharing some time with the hosts. We had a parking spot and could come and go as we please, it was ideal! Definitely recommend this place as a homebase for any trips up to the white mountains area.

  • What a great place to spend a week away from it all. My family and I (the four of us) stayed at this super cozy cottage, and it was the perfect home base to come back to after exploring the area. Our host Lori greeted us when we arrived with fresh veggies from her garden and a quick tour of the cottage and property. The Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, the dining room has a nice long table for dining, the couches in the den are comfy, as are the beds in the bedrooms. On a clear night the stars are miraculous. We had a good time and made some great memories. Highly recommended.

  • The home was wonderful for our needs. They made sure there were shampoo and conditioner available which was an unexpected touch as we forgot some and arrived after stores were closed for the evening. Loved the view of the river and we even went for a run in the morning. Great overall! Thank you so much Valorie :)

    Madeline2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Airbnb and Valorie set the bar high for my future uses. She didn’t miss a single thing as far as needs. The view of the river was beautiful on both patios. We absolutely needed this type of get away. She was close by in the case we needed assistance. Thank you Valorie and Juan for a great weekend get away.

    Leonard2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Val & Juan have an incredible unique space in a beautiful location along the river. Our favorite spots were the two back porches that look out at the river. The kitchen is large and the first floor space is pretty open, which was great for the social crew we had. We used this as a “home base” while attending our friend’s rehearsal dinner and wedding nearby. It was exactly what we needed. We would definitely stay again! Ps. Val & Juan are some of the nicest people!!

Completely disinfected Step back in time and unplug at Pine-No-More, an adorably rustic 1930’s cedar shingle cottage tucked beneath tall white pines on a .5 acre lot in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of Webster Lake. Relax in our Wood Fired Hot Tub in the back yard after hiking, skiing or snowmobiling. The Northern Rail Trail is 2/3 mile away. Also enjoy our beach chairs, beach toys, zipline, trampoline, and campfire ring. Great for small families and couples. Dog-friendly!
Simple, small, hip, and comfortable. Barely bigger than a tiny house at 600 square feet (including the lovely 200 square foot screened in porch), but just enough space to relax. With a few hints of rustic luxury, you might consider a visit to Pine-No-More "glamping." Get a great night sleep on a queen-size organic bed with 2 all-natural toppers (one latex and one feather) and 750 thread count sheets. While we will provide you with some creature comforts, please keep in mind that the cottage is intentionally simple and rustic. For example, we keep it very tidy, but because we are in the woods with an airy full screened in porch, some spiders might make their way in. Heated by a small wood stove, come ready to chop some wood. In the winter, be prepared for some chilly mornings before the wood stove gets going. There is one small bedroom with a queen bed and an adjacent bathroom. The wooded lot allows for relaxing in the cedar wood-fired hot tub and there is enough space that kids can make tree forts and adults can watch while reading from the screened in porch. If you choose to sleep on the porch in the summer on the futon bed (2nd bed option), you may be lucky enough to hear the late night barred owls or the early morning loons. Dogs are welcome.
“Pine no More” is a tiny relaxing nature/lake retreat in a residential neighborhood, but only 2 miles from a a woodfired pizza and brewpub, mini mart, simple breakfast spot and ice cream shop! The cottage is located on a 1/2 acre lot in a safe working class residential neighborhood where there is a mix of small vacation homes, middle and low income housing. There can be some be some noise, particularly on weekend nights. All neighbors are friendly, kind and helpful! Additionally, there is plenty of hiking in the area as well. Try our local favorite: Mt Kearsarge. The trailhead is only about 20 minutes away, and at the end of a 1 mile (steep) climb, you’ll see views of Mt. Cardigan, Ragged Mountain and even Mt Chocurro and Mt Washington on a clear day. Kayaking and canoeing (whitewater in the spring and summer!) on the nearby Pemmigewasett and Winnepausakee Rivers. Put-ins about 15 minutes away. Kayak rentals available in Franklin. The town of Franklin is not (yet) a tourist destination, but there is a coffeeshop and Darn good Thai Food at Asian Delight in Franklin (5 minutes away). Tilton Tanger Outlets about 15 minutes away. If you are looking for a more “Quaint” town experience, take a trip to nearby town of Bristol 20 minutes away: great Mexican Restaraunt, brewpub, coffee shop, gift shops featuring local artists, and an ice cream shop that hosts amazing live music on Saturday nights. (See Manual for more info) New London, about a 25 minute drive, has many wonderful restaraunts as well, including our local favorite (all-solar!) brewpub Flying Goose, where they brew about 15 wonderful microbrews onsite that change seasonally. Proctor Academy in Andover, NH - 13 minutes away. See “House Manual” for directions and more details on above info.
  • The cabin was clean, quaint and exactly what we were looking for to spend a few days outside of our busy schedules.

    Hannah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We spent New Years/our anniversary here and had a WONDERFUL time with our dog. The hot tub is so cool, and this is the perfect place to unplug and play board games. We hope to stay here again in the future!

  • When you need a getaway- where less is more, and a wood fired oven, and screened porch is all you need- this is for you.

  • Molly and Tom's place was beautiful. Everything is as listed, it's cozy and private and the hot tub is for sure worth using!!! Molly was a great communicator and they left us with an ample amount of tips for the area. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend off the grid!

    Emily2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for our fall anniversary trip and a great base for exploring NH. We loved the hut tub, the super cozy space, and the growing options for food and drinks in Franklin. Also an easy trip to the White Mountains for some outstanding hiking and views!

    Charis2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying here for the weekend. The cabin is a quick drive to nearby hiking and orchards north of Concord, NH. The home was clean, charming and cozy with a rustic lake feel. The wood stove was a wonderful accessory and essential if staying in the fall, come prepared to chop wood and tend to the fire! If you are looking for a weekend away to unwind and unplug, this is a great getaway!

    Megan2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very fun weekend getaway! Molly met us at the cabin and showed us around. There was some information they left about the cabin and the area that was very helpful and offered some great places to check out during our stay. The wood fired hot tub was amazing especially on the chilly fall nights! Would recommend this cozy stay to anyone wanting to unwind and unplug and enjoy NH.

  • Shawn’s place was great. It had everything we needed and is in a beautiful spot right on the lake.

    Peter2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Shawn's place was perfect for our 5-day family lakeside vacation with grandchildren. The beach and dock and fire ring were a big hit with the kids, and all of us enjoyed the comfortable beds and seating area and the well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. Highly recommend!

  • Great place, view , lake. Cute house

    Nancy2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay in this cabin right on Highland Lake! The views were gorgeous, the cabin comfortable and beautifully decorated, and hosts Liz and Shawn were very friendly and readily available. We enjoyed all the family friendly activities we could have hoped for: swimming, kayaking, a campfire, the private and public beaches, fishing and catching frogs in the nearby pond, board games, and family movie night before bed. The special touches, such as luxurious bath towels and bedding and pumpkin spice coffee near the keurig, really make a trip here extra special. We would certainly enjoy staying here again. Highly recommended!

We are located about a mile from Franklin Hospital, 30 minutes to Laconia. There are hiking trails, (the rail trail), skiing close by. Near the Tilton outlets. It's a great central location to Concord, Plymouth etc. A very clean room with a comfortable full sized bed. This room is located on the third floor in a very private area of the house. There are plenty of towels, shampoo, soaps for a great hot shower! I will have fridge space for you and a fully equipped kitchen.
This room is on the third floor of a very spacious house. The room is clean, and quite. It has one full sized bed. It's in the back of the house, away from the street however the house is located on a main street and there is the sounds of cars driving by. Full kitchen to share, and plenty of cabinet space for dry foods, Tandem parking for one car only per room.

  • Beautiful house, plenty of space

    Emily2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, spacious, peaceful property with lots of amenities. It was big enough for our large group with a playground 2 houses down and easy lake access. Rural country setting but only 4 miles from grocery stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!

    Tia2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was so much better in person! Excellent location on the water and it is swimmable (some other reviews suggest otherwise). Excellent fishing too!!! Great for larger groups - plenty of space. I would definitely go back.

    Nicole2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place for a large family or two families traveling together as we were. You have neighbors close by, but we never heard them! The waterfront is a little weedy but we had no problems floating out over them. Two living room type areas so you can have enough space to spread out, or the main living room is big enough for everyone! You are set apart from town enough for much peace and quiet, but close enough to hop into town for dinner, groceries or shopping. Highly recommend the Winnipesaukee Rail trail for a beautiful (flat) walk along the old railroad tracks. Also, a screened in, quite large, area to eat and relax in. This property was a little farther from our venue than we usually like to be, otherwise we would book it today for next summer!!

Stunning lakefront year round home. Views of the lake from almost every room. Family oriented, cozy furnishings that allow for memories to be made easily. Biking and snowmobile trails within walking distance. Plenty of outdoor activities for every season, or just lay in the sun, read a book on the deck or watch the incredible sunsets from the dock. Highland Lake is a peaceful and quiet body of water to enjoy. Rentals during July and August require a 4 night minimum stay.
Highland Lake has barely changed in 40 years. It is a quiet, special place to relax and enjoy life. When you need to unwind and catch your breath, there is no better place. I
  • A wonderful get away home for a relaxed holiday. Bedrooms on first and second floors can easily accomodate 8 guests.

  • Kathi's place was amazing to be at. Easy check-in process! The open windows with couch seating allowed us to have an amazing view of the lake. Plenty of areas within the house to rest at and plenty of space for the 6 of us. Lovely location and would recommend to all to stay.

    Holman2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • For us, two families with small kids sharing the house, the best feature is this house is that there are two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. Each family took a “wing,” and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location right on the water was great. It’s not near too much, so a good sort of place if you want to spend time with your friends/family and get outside (there’s a beach and a rail trail within easy walking distance).

    Jules2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house looks exactly as advertised, which is to say it's roomy, clean, well furnished, in a nice area and contains all necessary amenities. Kathi and Rob were great hosts, we had a slight issue with the heat when we arrived and Rob fixed it right away with no hassle and in a way that barely impacted our stay at all. Otherwise everything was wonderful and we would absolutely bring another group here again!

    Nicholas2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely lovely! It was a perfect location with a beautiful view to wake up to. We had some of the nicest days in September so we were able to sneak in one last swim of the season! Kathi was a great host - very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process.

    Liz2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kathi's home . The house was fantastic. The views of the lake were great; it was quiet, calm, peaceful. She was communicative about everything up front and easy to get in touch with and the check-in process was a breeze.

This guest bedroom is ideal for a traveling single or couple for a short or long term stay. It includes a private half bathroom, a table to set your computer, bureau for clothing and accessories. It's a simple appointed room, very comfortable and privately located on a second floor of a large New Englander style home. This room is closer to the main road so you will hear some street noise, however priced accordingly to compensate. Check listings for other rooms in the back of the house.

  • Laura is the sweetest , she had a gift waiting for me ( I won’t tell you what it has but it’s good) ! She gives you your space or has tea talks ! The pics doesn’t do this big beautiful home justice !!! Only thing is I was bummed about no ac or tv but WiFi is strong and the house was cool during my stay 80 outside but 61 inside so my bummness went away !!! She made dinner for us as well and makes you feel at home !!! Whatever the house lacks Laura makes up for it with her kindness & generosity ... Loved my stay! Will be back. Stayed for 3 weeks and made a new friend and a home away from home !!!
