  • Beautiful location and great guest house. Thank you for having us.

  • Carrie was great. She answered every question and email in a very timely manner which made planning our trip very simple. The cottage was was very clean and a perfect size for my wife and I. Being able to use the kayaks was great, we were even greeted by a bunch of seals once we got in the water. Highly recommend!

  • This was an awesome place to stay. We had a great time. Hope to stay again soon

    Steven2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is exactly what we hoped for and more. The location is perfect for those hoping to escape the hustle/bustle of city life, but close enough to enjoy the local activities. Kayaking in the Sound is a special treat - especially for those coming from land-locked homes. We hope to come back and stay here again soon!

  • A pleasant little secluded retreat.

    Katie2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was a really lovely at the cottage. It was just as many others have reviewed even more darling in person than in the pictures. We really appreciated the beautifully decorated studio cottage for our one night stay. My 2yr old loved the playhouse next door so much. He wants to go back- like now!

    Kristi2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed here with our three little children and had a really great time! The cottage has an open floor-plan with very tall ceilings that make it feel rather spacious for a house with a small footprint. It is beautifully decorated in an island/maritime theme and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The cottage is set well away from the road, so we were very comfortable leaving the door open and letting our 2 and 6 year old play outside while we were inside (not that the road gets very much traffic). The kids were huge fans of the playhouse, which is built in the same style as the cottage and main house. The playhouse is in plain view from the windows of the cottage and close enough that we could call to the kids through the windows. Raft Island itself is very peaceful and the quiet streets are perfect for evening walks.

    Philip2015-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • My sisters and I had a great time at the cottage. The decor was beautiful and we were very comfortable. The bonfire at the beach was a big hit. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Fish Tales 2 - Raft Island
    164 reviews
Our place is close to Gig Harbor, several county and state parks (Olympic National Park is 1.5 hours away), art and culture, with great views. We are 35-40 minutes to a choice of Seattle-bound Ferries. You’ll beautiful Puget Sound (including kayaking, swimming, and super beach combing). We are offering a quiet, private, and unique Tree House experience! This jewel in the trees is ideal for couples and solo adventurers. Unwind in a private hot tub under the stars...
Crafted with a mix of beautiful natural woods, you will appreciate the aromatic cedar scent as soon as you enter! Roughhewn, but high tech, including our state-of-the-art COMPOSTING TOILET, which is waterless and ODORLESS (super environment-friendly:-) The photos tell the rest of the story. Come, and if it rains (always likely, October-June), embrace it, look for sun breaks, and breathe in the best AIR on the planet!
We are about 1/2 mile from the very end of our quiet peninsula road, so there is little-to-no traffic noise. The road is therefore a very popular walking and jogging feature for our Crescent Beach neighborhood. We are just 5-10 minutes from services, including a very nice grocery store, pizza joint (which delivers:-), an awesome Mexican resto, and a Pub & Grill. There is almost zero Light Pollution, so if it's clear, you will enjoy star gazing from the Hot Tub, for sure!
  • Jeff was great at communicating and very welcoming. The location and tree house are definitely a hidden jem!

    Saiyare2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we booked Jeff and Cheryls magical Treehouse they were beyond helpful with what was to be the most memorable trip of our lives. The properties accommodations exceeded our expectations in every way. The pictures simply do not do this place justice. When we arrived Jeff was happily prepared to check us in and give us a run down on how to use all the facilities. As if the Treehouse isn't spectacular enough, the location of the airbnb is unmatched as far as natural scenery and the Puget Sound. We truly loved every moment of our stay here and appreciate the hard word and hospitality that Jeff and Cheryl put into creating such a beautiful space. We cannot wait to come back!

    Michelle 2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • I can not even begin to express our satisfaction and love for this piece of heaven on earth! If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all this is definitely the place for you. The pictures don't even come close to how amazing both the treehouse as well as the property. Jeff and Cheryl made us feel welcome from the second we got there. They are both a blessing to meet and we can not wait to come stay again! Thank you so much for everything!

    Kristin2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • What fun! Beautiful treehouse - like a fancy airstream that got caught in a tree! Had fun walking on the spit, hot tubbing, admiring the interior of the tree house. Fabulously responsive hosts, friendly. We hope to come back

    Melissa2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a cool and unique Airbnb. Jeff and Cheryl were lovely and provide a peaceful and tranquil Airbnb. Situated on a private cove that flows into the sound, the setting is beautiful and we loved the garden. (Great job, Cheryl!). Jeff and Cheryl have thought of everything to make for a very comfortable stay....oh and the hot tub is just icing on the cake! Would highly recommend to others!

    Karen2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Jeff and Cheryl for being amazing hosts. Staying in the treehouse was truly a dream come true. From the fragrant cedar smell, to the sweeping views- we will definitely be back! We spent our days kayaking, followed with a relaxing hot tub soak and a blissful outdoor shower. You will not be disappointed!

    Casey2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff and Cheryl made our stay very enjoyable! The well-maintained grounds, kayaks, beautiful views, hot tub, private fire pit area and, of course, the tree house were amazing! Such a great place to get away and relax!

    Jean2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff & Cheryl's treehouse is magical! Everything was perfect- the accommodations were perfectly clean and cozy and their property pristine. One of the quietest and most relaxing places in the world. Thanks again folks!!

This little log cabin with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths sits on a private small lake with huge fir trees that surround it. It has 2 decks that embrace the towering trees with a huge hot tub. Lakeside sits a kayak and canoe for getting out in the water.
A wood burning fireplace creates the romance and warmth of the wood surroundings. The upstairs is a huge master suite with a clawfoot bathtub and wonderful shower for 2 ~ there's also an area with a massage table next to the tub. 2nd bedroom is located downstairs with its own bathroom-decks and outdoor space is amazing because of the lake and huge fir trees surrounding the cabin. Very private and cozy! Lakeside is a big grassy lawn with full sun in the afternoon, comfy chairs and a fire pit. The kitchen has everything...coffee, tea homemade granola and popcorn are provided.
Private neighborhood out on the Key Peninsula which is just a 10 minute drive into Gig Harbor. The lake is walkable, people are private and keep to themselves. Very safe and secure. A sweet local winery just minutes from the cabin will give you tastings and a tour of the vineyards, also a lavender farm is nearby. Very country feel.
  • We very much enjoyed our three nights in Gae's cabin. She left homemade cookies and granola for us, which was a nice treat. The cabin is just as pictured. The downstairs is cozy with a well-supplied kitchen, and a great wood stove. We did need to buy kindling and use our own paper bags to help get the fire going. The upstairs bathtub is fantastic, and Gae has nice bubble baths to use. The massage table was professional-grade and supplied with oils, music, and candles. We really enjoyed taking out the canoe for a paddle, and walking around the lake. The outdoor patios are beautiful -upstairs and downstairs with wooden chairs and tables on both. The only drawback I can think of is that the cabin is very close to the neighboring houses. Overall, a great place to stay that I highly recommend!

    Kirsten2015-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Gae's place was so perfect and relaxing!! We loved the cabin, massage table, hot tub, and beautiful lake views! The kitchen was great for cooking. Our dog was so happy and the yard was perfect for him to play in. We never wanted to leave! We will definitely be back :). Thank you Gae!

    Alicia2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful lake, we saw a bald eagle taking a bath. Peaceful, cozy cabin. Beautiful, tranquil setting. Only wished the neighbors weren't so close but most of the time things were quiet.

    Michelle2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin. The owner is really responsive and helpful.

    Lauren2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gae's lakefront cabin is both cozy and romantic! It was the perfect place to spend the first few days of 2015. The view is gorgeous, the fire is lovely, the hot tub is truly dreamy. Probably my favorite part of the cabin is the master bedroom spa upstairs. A comfy queen sized log bed, a claw foot tub seemingly nestled in the trees and a fantastic shower all with their own deck overlooking the lake and trees. The kitchen had all the equipment I needed to make all of our meals. We will definitely be coming back!

    Traci2015-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gae was a wonderful host and the cabin far exceeded our expectations. Gae communicated warmly and thoroughly before and during our stay with helpful suggestions. The location is off the beaten path and a little tricky to find, but well worth it for the beautiful retreat-like setting. While it is in a residential neighborhood, you can neither hear traffic nor see neighbors once inside. The rooms all overlook the lovely lake. The cabin is comfortable, surprisingly spacious and very well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which has high-quality cookware and appliances. My mom had her own bedroom with a bathroom right next to it, my son slept comfortably on the leather wraparound sofa, and my daughter and I shared the upstairs room. We loved the eclectic decor; it wasn't tacky or "quaint" like some cabins. The beds were extremely comfortable, everything was cleaned and maintained to high standards and it just had a great "vibe" to it. We especially loved the claw-foot tub! I think it is an outstanding value and I will definitely be back.

    Melia2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful, far more breathtaking than the pictures capture! The experience is wonderful, and in the two days we spent there we didnt have enough time to take advantage of all of the great ammenaties- need to come back to try out the massage table! Access to the lake and boats was amazing! Thank you Gae!

  • My family and I had a very nice stay at Diane's place.

    Therese2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. We appreciated having a private bathroom and lock for our bedroom door. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly, and even offered us breakfast and coffee! Great option for those looking for an affordable, comfortable, and quite place to stay.

    Brittany2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is wonderful, and Diane is a great host, clean, organized, helpful, kind, and a great cook, I recommend coming here

    Ana C.2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was very welcoming. We came with our 5 ambassador girl scouts and two leaders and one mom of one of the girl scouts. Our five girls slept in the living room on three air mattresses that Diane provided. The three adult Mothers occupied one bedroom that had a double bed that two leaders slept on and one single air mattress at the end of the bed that another Mother slept on. Diane's home is beautiful and immaculately clean. She provided healthy early morning breakfast two out of the three days we were there. We got up really early (5a.m.) to sightsee and got home after 11p.m. every evening because we wanted to enjoy and take everything in while sightseeing in Seattle and Victoria, Canada. Diane lives about an hour from Seattle. We also enjoyed taking the ferry from Gig Harbor with our car on it to Seattle one day; very fun experience and inexpensive.

    Taralyn2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Disney's place is beautiful and was perfect for my large family stay. I liked her hospitality. We arrived late and Diane didn't complain. I didn't expect coffee and breakfast for the price I paid.

  • Mark was really friendly giving us warm welcome and detailed orientation of the facilities and surroundings. We felt home staying at his place in a beautiful location surrounded by lake and woods.

    Anirudh2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this place. We took our two young girls and they loved the deck. We took long walks around the beach and island. The place felt cozy and it was just enough space for us. Mark was very welcoming and he showed us how to use everything. We weren't used to using some of the household items but we managed (older appliances, coffee press, no coffee machine). Great wifi, minimal technology which was ok for us. If you have young ones, might look into covering windows at night because the light shines bright and early through all windows! We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place.

    Maribel2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • My family stayed with Mark on Treasure Island, near Allyn Washington for 3 nights June 2015. What a lovely, quiet place. The A frame was cozy, the view beautiful. We had everything that we needed. Mark had wireless though just as a heads up AT&T service is not great. Also there is no cable, only a small TV upstairs hooked up to a DVD player, which was fine for us since we were there to enjoy our family time and the surrounding area. We would visit again if the situation presents itself.

    Roni2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mark did an excellent job introducing us to the location and providing support while we were there. The home itself was beautiful and we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of loons and the sunrise over the Bay. Fantastic time spent there for Thanksgiving; we are glad we went.

    Chris2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience staying at Mark's beautiful home. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in everything from getting us to his home to letting us know the optimal time to see loons on the lake. The home itself was just as described and worked wonderfully for our family. I'd highly recommend staying here! :)

    Arielle2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our 3rd stay at Mark's place on Treasure Island and we enjoyed it immensely.

    Diana2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a return stay for us. We stayed here previously and couldn't wait to return. Great location with such a beautiful view. Host is very accommodating and knowledgeable about the abundant flora and fauna. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature.

    Diana2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was a perfect getaway for my family. Mark made sure the house was ready and stocked with supplies before we got there. His directions and instructions were clear and he communicated well with us. We had meals prepared from home for 2 days and brought along some breakfast items and snacks. We didn't have to drive around for food during our stay as we used the range and microwave fully. My kids had a great time at the beach and the play room above the garage. The morning view from the house was gorgeous. The residents were quite friendly to us.

Located in Key Center, we are conveniently positioned to many destinations on the peninsula. We are a work in progress destination, but this unit is currently worth the trip on its own. Come stay with us to get away from the campers, stay a night on the way to the next location, or stay a long weekend and explore the Key Peninsula.
The unit is a Cottage, which is the oldest portion of the homestead (over 100 years). Don't worry, we have done some updating. We are in the midst of transforming the property, so if you enjoy your stay, please come back and check on our progress.
  • Wow, what an amazing experience! The house was absolutely darling, we were very cozy and comfortable there for our weekend stay. The place was very clean, decorated wonderfully, Dustin replied pretty much immediately to all messages I sent him and there was Netflix and a DVD player which was a great touch. The drive out to the property was beautiful and the restaurants we tried in the area were amazing. Definitely would recommend to any couple wanting a nice quiet getaway.

    Lilly2017-10-29T00:00:00Z

This amazing northwest home is large and located right on the beach. Lots of windows mean that is is well lit and the decks on every floor will allow you the most amazing views. Walk the short flat path and you find yourself on a gravelly beach with wonderful West facing views. Take a good book and enjoy the tides coming as they come in and out. The bay is shallow and, unlike many salt water locations, the water gets warm enough to swim in. In fact, the owners do it for hours. Or bring your boat. You can actually beach it right up by the sitting area at high tide. Inside, the home is immaculately decorated with all the modern convinces. There are three bedrooms and two baths and the home sleeps up to 12. The kitchen is modern with all features and fully stocked with pots, pans, dinner ware and anything else you need. Be sure to bring briquettes for the charcoal BBQ. There is a ton to do in Gig Harbor, like exploring the many Art Galleries, Boutiques and fine restaurants, or taking a harbor tour. Nearby Allyn boasts a PGA golf course at Lakeland Village, and Kayak and boat rentals are available in Allyn or Belfair, both about seven miles from the home. Port Orchard, just 15 minutes away, is a Mecca for those interested in antiques and treasure hunting. The downtown waterfront offers shopping, museums, entertainment, galleries and dining, with ferry access from Bremerton and Seattle. This location is like being in the Garden of Eden with mature fir, cedar trees, a terraced garden full of native plants, and all of it just minutes from all the fun you could imagine.

Maplebrook Farm is located on the end of a mile long gravel road. Please do not drive faster than 15 mph on the road. Watch for our sign. I will send specific driving instructions at the time of your reservation. We are about 25 minutes from Gig Harbor.
  • Sheri's place is a great place to stay with friends and family. It is a very comfortable private space. This area of Gig Harbor is quiet and beautiful. There are plenty stores and restaurants in the area for convenience without the hassle of congested traffic of the city. Sheri took to time to teach the kids about her working farm and let them be hands on. This will be the first place I will check for availability next time I come back to Washington.

    Jennifer2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely weekend at Maplebrook farm. My two grandkids (almost 4 and 19 months old) had a most delightful time-as we all did- meeting the little lamb, bunny and newborn chicks; picking fresh strawberries, frolicking with sticks and enjoying other manners of nature play. Such a treat to get a glimpse of life on a small farm. Sherrie is a most gracious host with much to share and an openness that is endearing. Highly recommended.

  • Sherie was a very accommodating host, answering questions and providing all the trip details from the time we booked, to showing everything around the farm when we arrived. The farm and the house are situated in a very relaxing setting where you immediately feel closer to nature. If you have kids, they'll love all the farm animals, getting to pet and feed them. There is plenty to do on the farm, but it's also close to several State Parks or a county park with a lake. All in all, a great family getaway.

    Natalie2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sherie is truly welcome, very beautiful house located at a bit remote but super tranquil area, also there's an adorable happy shepherd welcoming our arrival, we had a group of 6 people staying there and everyone enjoyed the stay a lot! Thank you Sherie

  • Our stay at Sherie's place was lovely! Everything we could possibly need for an overnight stay was there and Sherie was so welcoming and accommodating! The directions she gave were so helpful after dark and an evening in the hottub was a great way to end our day in Seattle! My friends and my only regret was that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy the farm

  • Maplebrook Farms was the perfect retreat for my family. My wife and I stayed for a couple nights with our two little ones and we all had a great time. The space is newly refurbished, spacious and very comfortable. We got to tour the farm with Sherie, and my 3 year-old especially loved the young sheep and the baby chicks. After our kids were asleep, we spent some time both nights in the amazing hot tub out on the deck, glasses of wine in-hand. What a great place, and what a tremendous value. Thanks to Sherie and Tim for having us. We'll be back!

  • Clean, large, beautiful spot! My in-laws and little kids had a great time together and kept raving over the cleanliness and completeness of the apartment! Kids loved the hot tub :-). Thanks Sherie!

  • Sherie was an amazing thoughtful host and her home was warm, welcoming and beautiful, as well as her farm and garden. Our boys, ages 10, 9 and 7, loved her place as well-they had so much fun with the animals, hanging out in the hot tub and playing games. We all learned a lot from her class on sheep too and had fun trying the spinning wheel. We enjoyed the tranquility, solitude and beauty and felt like we were at home. Would highly recommend staying here!

The location of the cabin is 10 miles from downtown Gig Harbor. You'd need a car. There's a small town 1 mile away that has a grocery store and a few restaurants. The cabin is quiet, private, on a lake with canoe, kayak and hot tub. Very peaceful.
Super quiet environment, walkable lake, near hospital for traveling medical personnel. Great views and very comfortable bed.
It's a small private lake with a nice safe community.

  • Our hosts were very gracious and warm opening up their home to us. They made us feel very welcome!

  • My friend and I stayed with Mira and David overnight while attending a wedding nearby. Before meeting in person, I could sense Mira's warmth and consideration from our text correspondence. She made sure to check in about our arrival time and directions. Check in time was flexible which we appreciated. Our room was clean, cozy and set up with a flat screen tv with Hulu. We were excited to be able to just chill and watch a movie before heading out. Mira made sure to have bottled water and fresh towels available for us. We'd noticed after coming back that our bed had been made for us, which was so thoughtful. The view from the deck out to the water was beautiful! We both wished we could stay longer, but will most definitely make another trip back now that we know about this gem! : )

  • David and Mira have a beautiful home with an amazing view of Mt. Rainer. You are very close to the beach if weather permits. I stayed with David and Mira for just over a month while I was waiting for my apartment to be ready. It was a very relaxing experience. David will keep you company with interesting conversation and knowledge about gardening, he even taught me how to split firewood in the backyard once or twice. Mira was a total sweetheart who would occasionally share cooked meals, clean and she also finished my laundry for me once when I forgot it in the washer! Total lifesaver. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat or a quiet home to relax, this is the right place.

    Ali2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mira and David were amazing hosts and made our stay feel like a home away from home and a hotel at the same time. Everything was taken into consideration even to the Keurig coffee machine for your morning coffee. The view was top notch and the surroundings were quiet and offered the perfect opportunity for exploring. I highly recommend their place!

The area surrounding our neighborhood has slippery down-hill streets.
  • Donna, and Kevin were very welcoming, and accomidating! I had a wonderful stay! I really like the Keurig in the room, and the personal fridge was a plus! Donna's fresh baked Goodie's are to die for! They are both very special people, and do an excellent job with their BnB! I will definitely be going back!

  • Donna is a great host. The room and the bathroom were clean and nice. The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat. The back deck was the perfect spot to sit and relax. She always had coffee and fresh baked goods available. Just a truly sweet couple.

  • Donna is a wonderful host! The room was clean, and so was the private bathroom. The whole situation - the house, the host, the location - is very safe, a point that may be important for a single traveler. Thank you, Donna!

  • Donna and Kevin gave me such a great first AirBnB experience! I had a few last minute changes and they we so great in accommodating me, not mention the beautiful setting and breakfast goodies. Even Casey, the coolest cat ever, played along! Just wish I could've stayed longer.

  • The host canceled this reservation 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Linda2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • I planned to stay with Donna while I was in town and she was excellent to communicate with. We ended up cancelling due to some changes in plans, but it was all fairly seem less. The only problem was the fact that I interpreted emails between myself and Donna as canceling the reservation, but it didn't in fact cancel it, that's a separate step you must take.

    Brien 2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying with Donna in her lovely home, and it has been just as wonderful as my first visit. Her lovely home is tucked away, but off of the main road with easy access to the local towns and ferries to Seattle. In addition to offering a welcoming family room and comfortable deck, Donna has created a lovely little retreat for her guests in a private room with an incredibly comfortable bed , sitting area, and personal coffee stand, as well as a private bathroom. Donna is the perfect host: friendly, informative, helpful , and gracious. You will enjoy everything about your stay!

    A Place in the Forest
    13 reviews
Unique 19th-Century timber cabin on a large wooded lot with its own private 100’ beach. 1 bedroom/1 bath, sleeps 4 with hide-a-bed. Midway between Shelton and Bremerton on Puget Sound, 8 miles from town but secluded enough to support heron, bald eagles, beavers, seals, deer, and some very bio-diverse tide-flats. Half-mile from a full-service marina, with kayak rentals 3 miles away. Unlike anything else on the market.
THE CABIN The Stanley House was one the last homes built in the rough-hewn archaic style favored by the first white settlers occupying the farthest reaches of Puget Sound in the 1890’s. In 1928 a group of West Seattle neighbors floated barges of finished lumber across the Sound to beachfront property they bought on Case Inlet, just north of Grapeview Washington, where they built a row of waterfront cabins under the supervision of Roy C. Stanley, an owner who also happened to be a professional architect. Looking backward for inspiration, Stanley recreated several versions of the steeply-roofed raw-wood houses that had been common along upper Puget Sound in the late 1800’s. For decades, daily life at the cabin relied on kerosene lanterns after dark, a wood-fired cook-stove, hand-pumped well water, and a two-seater outhouse up the trail. In 1968 Roy’s son Robert Stanley added plumbing, electricity, baseboard heaters and a new bedroom, which brought basic 20th-century comforts to this surviving jewel of early Northwest history, and turned it into a cozy year-round family home. By the 1990’s, succeeding generations of residential buildings had all been torn down to make way for the newer models that occupy the shoreline today, and now only the Stanley House remains, as one of Puget Sound’s very oldest and most unusual dwellings. THE WOODS It doesn’t take long for man’s works to melt away in the weather and rain of the Olympic Peninsula. The Stanley House is indeed showing telltale signs of age, but it’s still sturdy and warm as it approaches its second century of life in the forest. The cabin feels almost like an outgrowth of that forest - linked by its materials and construction style to the woods and water and wilderness, the house is very much a part of its surrounding natural environment, one more organic element drawing visitors into the life of a 100’ x 300’ sanctuary dense with huckleberry bushes, Madrona trees, and towering Douglas firs crowding up against rafter & beam. THE WILDLIFE The Stanley House is not a motel and this is not a sterile landscape. We maintain a pesticide-free household, and guests may encounter a few mosquitos and even one or two living, breathing spiders. The lot is home to frogs, garter snakes and small lizards who remain well hidden, which is more than the raccoons can say for themselves . . . We do welcome pets and most pets love the place, but we also ask to be indemnified against any inter-species incidents that may arise. Robert Stanley lived in the cabin year-round with a cat named Sam, and it’s worth emphasizing that Sam co-existed peacefully with a pack of raccoons who were living year-round beneath the cabin. For 11 years Sam and the raccoons gathered on the porch every evening to eat pet food together, without a single argument, or even much mutual interest. The raccoons have abandoned the crawl space but they’re still in the neighborhood, along with rabbits, possums, native red squirrels with a lot to say, and a few stealthy housecats who may or may not be slightly domesticated. For sixty years a beaver colony has maintained a large lagoon four blocks away. Deer occasionally graze across the property down to the water’s edge, where they commune with ducks, crows, woodpeckers, bald eagles, wading birds like herons and cranes, and the ubiquitous seagulls, who seem to enjoy absolutely everything they eat. Feel free to feed your table scraps to the gulls. They will thank you with deafening enthusiasm. THE WATER LIFE Low tide reveals a rich array of marine animals on the exposed tide-flats, from starfish and eels to sea urchins, burrowing shrimp, squid, several species of crab, and a wide range of shellfish including oysters and clams. Trout fishing can be rewarding, but the perch and sole are generally too small to eat - or at least, too small to constitute a meal. This doesn’t discourage packs of seals who cruise the inlet occasionally, heaving themselves up onto floats at dusk before they hunt through the night, splashing and grunting until dawn. On one excursion our rowboat was even surprised by a whale who surfaced alongside to inspect us, exhaling mightily and spouting geysers of the worst bad breath in the world. THE BEAVER DAM Beavers began building a dam across a small creek in the 1950’s, back into the woods opposite the turn-off to Treasure Island, where they flooded two or three acres and moved right in. This drowned all the trees in the new pond and left a ghost forest rising out of the water, an eerie stand of dead whitened firs that stood for years before rotting out and toppling over. The owners breached the dam once or twice, but the beavers always returned and rebuilt it. Eventually the humans gave up and left the place alone. The beavers themselves usually stay out of sight. On rare occasions I’ve seen them at twilight, swimming back and forth 20 or 30 feet out with just their heads above water, either keeping a close eye on me or – in one case – studiously averting his gaze and insisting that I wasn’t there at all, and he wasn’t paying me the slightest attention. Beavers have their own sense of cool.
The cabin is close to civilization but somewhat insulated. See the description in the section above which is labelled "THE SPACE".
  • This is the quintessential rustic Northwest cabin experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the cozy charm and the natural beauty surrounding the cabin. It was a great place to get away for some much-needed personal reflection and meditation. Mark is a great host and communicates very quickly!

    Lana2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is everything that the description said. A quiet little cabin set in a secluded area. I actually thought it would be more secluded but it was still perfect. Every other house in the area is a huge expensive extravagant mess while the Stanley house harkens back to another time of the area. We had a great weekend and would definitely return.

    Lou2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very rustic cabin. If you love history or vintage finds you will love staying here. Felt like we were dropped back in time. Directions can be a bit tricky so make sure you review carefully and also read owner instructions about other details carefully. The house has some quirks but that is what makes it great. Beautiful location. Enjoyed the vintage board games immensely.

Within less than 20 minutes there is a great pizza place, and an excellent Italian restaurant on the water. Friends live there permanently and are available to contact for help if needed.
  • We had an absolutely amazing time at the beach house in Vaughn! The communication between Cynthia and I was great. Check in was easy and the house was ready and waiting for us. We loved the location, very wooded and green with a nice view of the water. The house itself is new and beautiful. We did not need anything. Everything was well thought out in what a guest might need. The beach is a very short walk down the road. Perfect evening stroll. We took our mothers who were in their 80's and the downstairs bedroom accommodated them easily. We would definitely consider staying at the beach house again in the future! Cynthia is great!!!

  • Cynthia's beach community house was beautiful, clean, and the perfect place to relax. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Ryan2015-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia's place in Vaughn was delightful. It was secluded in a quiet neighborhood just up the street from a great beach. She had two kayaks for our use, although unfortunately we didn't have time to use them. The house itself was clean, roomy, and well furnished. We enjoyed making use of the full equipped kitchen (with a on demand boiling hot water tap for tea and coffee!), as well as the washer and dryer in the garage. We liked the beach house themed decor in the house and the various books about fishing. Cynthia was very hospitable and communicated well over the phone. She was warm, friendly, and helped answer all of our questions when we had any. I highly recommend this AirBnb and would stay here again in a heart beat.

  • We had a wonderful time. The house is very nice and was perfect for the 4 of us and for family to visit. We had our family Christmas Day there. I had my in-their-90s-parents with us and the downstairs bedroom and bath were perfect for them. The upstairs bedroom is a large room with window seat -loved it. The beds were really comfy. The upstairs sitting room gave my six year old grandson a very nice space to explore games and play.

    Lynda2014-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it again. So comfortable and clean. So easy for us, feels like home away from home...only better.

    Amy2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Wolfe's beach community home! Cynthia was friendly, accessible, and very helpful. The house was spacious, clean, pretty, and even had two kayaks for us to use. We roasted marshmallows in the backyard fire pit, BBQd, hung out at the private community beach, and chatted with neighbors. The neighbors were all very kind and welcoming - we felt right at home! Cynthia left names and numbers of close neighbors that could help if we had any issues (luckily we didn't), and she was always accessible by text. We hope to stay here again in the future as we visit family in the area. As first time Airbnb users, we are VERY pleased!

    Chera2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia's house was soothing and felt very much like a getaway, even though my reason for visiting the area was not as a vacation. The house was perfect for our needs: a bedroom with a good queen sized mattress and a bathroom with a walk-in shower on the main floor. It was ideal for my mom as she could not do stairs. The kitchen fit our needs perfectly and we were able to sit five around the table with the rest of our party eating outside. The living room was both comfortable and functional. Even though I was unable to personally meet Cynthia, she is personable, generous, and kind, and gave me clear directions to the house (because I didn't arrive until midnight) after the reservation was made. We were invited to use whatever was available for the rocky beach down the road, and even though we had no chance to use the equipment, it was nice to know that we could. I would definitely stay there again, given the chance.

    Sheila2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Cynthia's house, it was clean, scenic, quiet and beautiful. She even offered for us to use her own personal kayaks! Water is only a couple of blocks away and if you like clamming the tide is very low in the mornings. Vety enjoyable stay and would do it again!

  • This was one of the most beautiful homes I've had the pleasure of staying in from airbnb in the US. I visited last minute due to the WA wildfires and Heather was easy to communicate with and a perfect host. Everything was ready for the stay and organized. My group and I were genuinely wowed by the space. The pictures underrepresent this house in our opinion. And we visited during smokey and overcast days. So we can only imagine the full potential. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly with a nice waterfront access. The living space and rooms have excellent unique layouts. Well designed and decorated with all the features.

  • Quiet secluded neighborhood that felt very safe. Diane is an excellent host and was most welcoming and pleasant. The room and private bath were flawless, and the bed was perfectly comfortable. I will definitely be staying there again.

  • STAY WITH DIANE! If you look at her house and go somewhere else you will regret it, there is no experience better then the one I had staying with her. It truly felt more like visiting a beloved aunt, then being in a strangers house! Her house is clean, and lovely, it is in a beautiful as well as very quiet wooded area. It's not a far or hard drive to get anywhere or everywhere. Diane i one of the nicest ladies you'll ever meet! She asks each evening what time you want breakfast. She brûléed(spelling?) grapefruits one morning and it was divine!(sprinkled sugar on the tops and gave it a quick flame. Think Crème brûlée but with grapefruit) She was there to offer directions places, things to see or do, and recommendations on places to eat locally as well. I will be staying with her again next time I go to Washington.

  • My husband and I stayed here one night with our toddler and two pups, and we definitely recommend this place! The location is great, as we were able to park our vehicle once we got there and then walk to everything we needed. The water was great for our toddler and dogs to play in, there are two restaurants within walking distance, a gas station across the street, and a coffee stand two doors down! This is also right above a wonderful little ice cream shop! The home is extremely clean, has a great open floor plan, and has everything you need! I also love that it was very homey, but wasn't cluttered so that we still had lots of counter space to use our own things. We had no complaints!

  • Great location on the water! Beautiful views!

  • Really great and unique place to stay. Walk to great restaurants or along the shore as you please. Lots of privacy in an oversized suite.

    Ronald2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house was beyond beautiful, the fireplace amazing. The only real problem was the noise from the road. I was not able to get to sleep until after 4 am each night due to the traffic noise. However I am not from an area where traffic noise is a not issue so I might be extra sensitive. All the same, sleeping pills probably would have been worth bringing.

  • Our family just completed a wonderful stay at Lynne and Dale's home! The setting is absolutely breathtaking with gorgeous views of the water and Ranier in the distance from the huge picture window and lawn area. The kitchen is enormous and has everything you need. The rest of the home is beautifully decorated and very well kept. We could not have asked for a more peaceful and serene setting and would highly recommend this home to anyone considering a stay in the area.

    Tim2014-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lynne and Dale were the best hosts we could have wished for. We were on holiday from England and three of our party were new to visiting the United States. Lynne and Dale were only too happy to give us information about the surrounding area. This enhanced our holiday experience and they seemed more than happy to stand and 'chat'. Very kind, friendly, sharing, accommodating people. We felt that we were leaving friends behind when we left. A very rewarding vacation. Even when we were late arriving they were very understanding.

    DAVID2015-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This home on Puget Sound is better than advertised. The view of the mountains and the water, as well as the quiet of the setting were truly breathtaking! The home was absolutely glimmering and extraordinarily comfortable, providing plenty of space, privacy, and serenity for our family of six adults. Lynne and Dale were gracious hosts who were easy to communicate with and very helpful, answering every question we had before, during, and after our stay. If our travels ever bring us back to this region of the Pacific Northwest, we would hope to be able to return to this outstanding home and setting.

    Paul2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were personally greeted, given a tour of the house and told to contact them with questions or anything we might need. The home is quite lovely with more amenities than I have in my home. The bed was so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of it. The setting is so fabulous being in a woodsy area, on the water with a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. We enjoyed the view from the house and the deck where we barbecued our dinner most nights while drinking in the view. The whole experience took me back to my childhood as I was raised in Seattle and had a view of Mt. Rainier throughout my junior and senior high school years. My only problem was feeling guilty enjoying Lynne and Dale's home while they were nearby. They were so lovely and helpful. On this occasion I was working everyday getting my daughter's house in Lakebay ready for sale so didn't have much time to enjoy the home and the surroundings. I would very much like to have a vacation with my husband there sometime.

    Roy2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Puget Sound Beach Front House. The house and setting were beautiful, comfortable, and inviting. The views of Mt. Rainer were breathtaking. The hosts provided outstanding support during pre-planning and preparation for arrival - and were readily available for any questions and assistance during our stay. Great communication - timely and responsive. They were very accommodating and helpful - offering recommendations for places to visit and things to do. The house was even more spectacular than the listing - fully stocked, beautifully furnished, lovely gardens, and comfortable for our extended family of 9. The house was set up nicely to accommodate multiple family units - with the daylight basement bedrooms, bath and family room. Worked great for grandkids. Everyone loved the house. It met all our needs - plus! We loved sitting on the deck and watching boats and harbor seals in the sound and walking down to the beach collecting shells and sand dollars. The house is centrally located and perfect for exploring Key Peninsula - and close to grocery store and other services. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful- with access to beach, hiking trails, blackberry picking, and parks. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend to others. One of the nicest homes we have stayed at.

    Ruth2015-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. Dale and Lynne were flexible and the place was even better than we expected. Definitely on the list to come back if we are in the area again. The view was stunning and the master suite was phenomenal!

    Irena2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful home with a fantastic view of Mt. Rainer. The house is water front and we could see harbor seals sunning on a raft in the water. It has everything one might need to have a very comfortable stay. The hosts (Dale and Lynn) are very gracious and made us feel very welcomed.

    Roy2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the entire home and deck were breathtaking. Lynne and Dale were great hosts, friendly, accommodating, helpful and warm. Our family had a great first time experience with airbnb and we're sure that is due to Dale and Lynne's attention and care.

Come visit our 4BR, 2BA home on Case Inlet, the most pristine waterway of South Puget Sound. The waterfront view, hot tub and home receive great reviews. The house sits just 30 steps from the beach.
Come and visit Case Inlet, the most pristine waterway of South Puget Sound, and find our cozy waterfront cottage waiting to embrace you. Our Allyn home is 1760 square feet, with four bedrooms and two baths. Oak floors and trim, beautiful rugs and photographs, tiled countertops and a slate fireplace surround are some of the details that make the cottage an inviting place to spend your vacation. Whimsical tropical fish, trellises and a view of the bay through an arched gate greet you upon entering the fenced property. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all open to the water view. A three level deck adds to the living space. The hot tub provides an outstanding view of Case Inlet. After a soak you can spend time on the comfortable chaise lounges or have lunch under the wisteria. Serve your guests at the outdoor bar. The beach is just twenty steps from the deck across the landscaped yard. Enjoy the fire pit and Adirondack chairs at waters edge. Low tide reveals an immense beach for exploring, clam digging and collecting a few oysters to barbecue for dinner. The bay is great for water sports. It is warm enough in the summer, by Northwest standards, for a quick dip. Bring your power boat, kayaks, windsurfers, and fishing gear. Kayak rentals are available just down the beach. Three salmon runs bring fish right in front of the house in the fall. Watching the salmon jump and splash is an amazing site! The kitchen is well stocked to meet your food preparation needs. The large island has four chairs for casual dining. A long countertop next to the dining room is perfect for a buffet setup. The dining room table can seat eight or more people and a second table can be set up for additional guests. The comfortable upholstered chairs, stained glass chandelier and the view provide a memorable setting for meals. The living room has a wide-screen HDTV and DVD with surround sound. An upstairs bedroom has a TV with DVD/VCR, books, games, videos, and two full size futon sofa beds. Kids can claim this room while the adults are downstairs. The Case Inlet view from the master bedroom on the second floor is exquisite. Curling up in the comfortable queen bed or on the love seat in this room, with a warm drink and a book will define the word 'vacation'! The third upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs has some areas of low headroom. One bedroom with a queen bed is located on the main floor. The house is located in the center of this small town and everything you might need is within a few minutes walk of your door. You can stroll down the beach to a waterfront restaurant and sports bar, and just a bit further to the Allyn Waterfront Park, pier and dock (moorage available). Buy an espresso, a meal or groceries and return to your private retreat. Explorations by water from Allyn include Fair Harbor Marina, Stretch, and Treasure Islands, Pickering Passage, Olympia, and points beyond. The book South Puget Sound Afoot and Afloat is a great guide to the area. The 27-hole Lakeland Village Golf Course is minutes away. Other great courses including Trophy Lakes and Gold Mountain are within a thirty minute drive. The area is known for it's ATV trails, nearby lakes, and access to the Olympic Peninsula, Olympic National Park, and Hood Canal. The cities of Belfair, Shelton, Gig Harbor and Bremerton are nearby for additional shopping and dining opportunities. Belfair has a large waterfront nature preserve with walking trails. You can drive to Seattle (90 minutes) via Tacoma or take a 20-mile drive to Bremerton and a spectacular, 55-minute ride on the Washington State Ferry System directly to downtown Seattle.
The focus of the property is the water. The little town of Allyn has a waterfront restaurant and bar, a Mexican restaurant, a burger joint, grocery store and a nice espresso place with indoor seating. You can rent kayaks just down the street and take a stroll to the Allyn waterfront park and pier.
  • What a perfect home for a family vacation. The house was open, comfortable, and had a fully stocked kitchen in which to make a complete Thanksgiving dinner. We loved the kayak and canoe, hot tub, and fire pit! Dave provided all needed information in written form and personally contacted us a few days before our vacation to answer any questions. The house and the setting are a perfect place to make vacation memories!

  • Great place to stay. We had 8 people from Friday-Sunday and there was plenty of room. Dave gave plenty of details on the house and area and was very friendly with any questions we had. Highly recommend!

  • We had a great stay at this cabin. The beach access, hot tub, and access to coffee and a few restaurants made for a relaxing summer getaway. While the cabin is not fancy, it was stocked with just about everything we needed to be comfortable. It felt like the owner really cared that you enjoyed your stay. We would definitely come back.

  • The Hot-Tub is all you could ever ask for. Stunning view of the Sound. The Home is well kept, spacious, clean, and was a lovely end to a long-cross-country trip. Bravo!

  • We had a great time in Allyn. The hot tub was fantastic, views beautiful, and the fireplace was toasty. Thanks for everything!

  • A+++++ Dave went above and beyond for us. The house is beautiful and the location perfect. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Allyn.

    Daniel2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed Dave's house. We did have an issue with accessability for a disabled member of our party. I wish we had asked some more specific questions that would have prepared us, but overall, we enjoyed it very much. The house is well set up, with big windows overlooking the water, a gas fireplace to make it cozy, and a large kitchen that was well stocked with staples. Also, the view was really nice, and I enjoyed seeing an eagle swoop nearby while watching a heron feeding. We would definitely go back!

    Rich2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house was perfect for a weekend away with 7 women and we had a great time! We even walked down to enjoy the Allyn days salmon bake and geoduck festival over the weekend. The house is within easy walking distance to a mini-mart and 3 restaurants in Allyn. The kitchen was huge and the dining room was more than large enough for our group. The hot tub was an especially nice feature, as was the fire pit overlooking the water. The house was clean and the neighbors (who help take care of the house) were wonderful. We would definitely return to this house.

  • I my wedding was in Lakebay and I reserved Lynne's place for family members. My family who stayed were very comfortable and said its was a lovely experience.

  • This stay was the best experience my husband have had in a long while Our hosts were nice but not intruding. They thoughtfully provided us with fruit, water, coffee, and muffins to start our days. There was a small fridge and microwave oven for those extra meals when we did not want to leave. With the view and the water out the windows one finds it hard to leave! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. A comfortable sitting area, a table, 2 bedrooms and well we can always add the view again and again. With direct access to the beach this is a gem of comfort and peace. Oh there is also a great park within walking distance with trees and trails when and if you get tired of watching seals and birds!

  • Booked Lynne's place to host two guests of my wedding party, they had a blast, and enjoyed the place so I look forward to checking it out myself soon! Lynne was really gracious and easy to work with on coordinating check-in across our different parties, it was a relief to have that one less thing to worry about during my wedding. Thanks Lynne!

  • Lynne and her husband were great! We were really surprised at how wonderful the accommodations were-better than we expected. A beautiful home, comfortable, equipped with all we needed. Plus a gorgeous view and opportunities to view seals!

    Danica2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic view and hosts - they are so friendly and accomodating. There's a lot of space, the rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, and the home itself is beautiful and well constructed. The bathroom is huge and a two-room affair (toilet/bath in a second door-enclosed space), and the furniture is comfortable. Lots of pillows, big windows, and great backyard with access to their private beach. They have a nice dog who roams the property but caused no problems for our own dog (who doesn't like other dogs). The only thing that would make this vacation spot better is if there were kitchen facilities in the ground floor suite being rented - we knew going in from their description there wasn't any, but with the remote location, lack of dining options nearby, only having a bar fridge and microwave can be a bit limiting. That said, Lynne and Dale took care of us - Lynne lent us their hot water boiler and every morning there were fruits and breakfast style cakes. There's also coffee for yo brew, and various goodies left in the bar fridge to help yourself to. Also note that while you have an entire floor including an awesome huge deck, there is no door on the stairway inside to upstairs, so those who want ultra privacy might not like that. We loved our stay and highly recommend this as your weekend getaway vacation spot. Just awesome!

    Mark2013-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable beds. Brought inflatable kayaks and kayaked with the local sea lions. They were curious and just hung out with us. Lynne's place is high beach waterfront, with steps to the water. So lovely.

  • We stayed at Claire's place for one week. Communication with Claire was easy. The open beam ceiling home was very clean and kitchen essentials were well stocked. Loved the outside deck overlooking the water! The location is remote, about 15-17 min drive to downtown Gig Harbor. Easy freeway access within 10 min and close access to Seattle Ferry. Worth the beautiful short drive to a peaceful, quiet and serene setting. You will feel relaxed and refreshed after your stay. Thank you Claire!!

    Kathryn2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • I met my sister-in-law for a "girls weekend" at Claire's charming cabin. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear and Claire provided good driving directions. The cabin is nicely decorated and was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to actually cook (meaning pots/pans/utensils/tools). We both found our beds to be very comfortable and slept well. One thing to note is that the bedrooms are open to the rest of the house; one is around a corner from the other. So there is no bedroom door to close for privacy. This was not a problem for us but may be a consideration for others. We enjoyed the changing view watching the tide come in and go out and seeing the many different birds out on the water. Claire has some information about nearby parks and hikes and we took advantage of a break in the rain to go on a short hike. The nice gas fireplace felt great after being outside and makes the cabin cozy this time of year. I recommend this lovely cabin for anyone wanting a respite from their hectic life and a chance to connect with nature without having to go too far off the beaten track.

    Jennifer2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • I only hope that when I die and go to heaven it is as nice as Claire's house!! It was better than she could have described. Plus the salmon were coming upstream to spawn and we saw an eagle trying to get one The house could not have been more perfect!! Ok if you want a complaint the clock was 15 minutes off. Lol. We are so glad we found it and will be on our list of keepers. It is hidden yet close to town. Claire was so helpful with any info we needed too. 30 minutes from everyplace you want to go and come back to romance with a roof Thanks Joe & Peggy Moscon

    Joe2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The location was outstanding, and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the tide go in and out from the deck, as well as seeing the wide variety of wildlife. A very serene, clean, and well-appointed space. We recommend it highly, and will try to stay there again next time we're in the area

    Jeffrey2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • This remote home is off the beaten path, and truly a treasure! It is surrounded by wilderness and nestled right by a river where you can sit and watch wildlife while you drink your morning coffee, or play games on the deck table. We saw many types of birds, and even a bald eagle! The home is clean, comfortable and very spacious. We loved the open floor plan, and the view from the gorgeous floor to ceiling windows! There is a BBQ, and we enjoyed a nice family meal after a day touring the surrounding areas. You definitely need a car, but everything is close by, and you get to see what life is like outside the typical tourist sites of Seattle. Highly recommend this home!

  • This was a mixed experience for us. This was about our tenth stop on our vacation so we had plenty to compare with this Airbnb home . The communication with the host was excellent , providing all needed directions, activities.... A few small issues arose which were dealt with post haste. The facility was clean , bed comfy, place was decorated nicely.... Not to be picky but the bathroom was tiny and poorly lit ( for the needs of my woman- I could prepare in a cave) The pots were old and worn and few. Stove was missing some knobs and timing function... We did not think Gig Harbor was the proper address ( metaphorically) We paid $220/ night and expected more. The most off putting were the rules and how they were delivered. In the last three years of Airbnbing we never felt this "controlled". While none of the rules were too unreasonable , the demanding nature was irritating. One gets the feeling you are being privileged to stay there. I don't wish to say this isn't a nice very place to stay - we just felt for that price, the host needs to enhance the experience .

  • Kathryn shared their house manual early on with us ensuring we were well acquainted with the area, directions, accommodations, and who to call in the event we needed help. Room with a View is immaculate and we were well located to our family wedding down the road. As mentioned in prior reviews, if you have T-Mobile-there is currently no coverage. During our stay, Room With a View's wifi was down upon arrival but we didn't notice until 10 p.m. at night. Their helper, Marsden came the next morning to fix the issue (we found a sweet spot for a neighbors' Wifi to call Marsden). The bottom line if there was a problem, and the problem was solved as soon as possible and efficiently. We would stay here again! Thank You, Kathryn and Marsden:)

  • The place is great and everything was clean. Kathryn had great communication and we would definitely stay again. My only note is though wireless internet exists, it is slow. If you visit, don't plan on doing much work online but then again, the views and location should make you turn off work anyway. Thank you for everything. It was a wonderful stay!

  • Great place. Away from the main road. Couldn't enjoy the beach or kayak due to weather, but it is a great looking property.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Kathryn's place. It has everything that we need. It also has such beautiful views that I wish I could stay for longer. My sister and I actually went for kayak and that will definitely be in family album.

  • The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • What an excellent value! Our party of four adults and two kids had a great stay at Kathryn's place. The layout is great with lots of windows, the location is convenient and she has the best spot on the water. Even in the chilly and damp weather, the heat kept us warm and cozy. We cooked many meals in the kitchen easily. The whole apartment needs to be updated, but for the price, everything is functional and comfortable. The only thing that never worked for us was the wifi. It really doesn't reach from the main house over to this apartment. Landon was very responsive and friendly with our inuiries and checking in and out was a breeze. Make sure to enjoy the kayaks and take in the views of Mt Rainier!

Our home is ideal for large familly gatherings! It is very clean and in excellent condition. It needs to be brought out of the 1990s, but all in good time! It is in the best neighborhood in all of Gig Harbor, in our humble opinion, with breathtaking sunset views of the sound and the Olympics! Downtown Gig Harbor is a 15 minute drive! Kopachuck State Park is within walking distance of the house (about a 1/2 mile) and a great place to enjoy the beach and kayak.
If you're looking for a space where all of your family can be together, this is it! Dining room and living room will accomadate your group! The outdoor living and dining space is also large! For anyone who has difficulty with stairs, the Master bedroom is on the main floor. This was a MUST for me when looking for a home! Another bonus is there is a seperate tv room away from the kitchen and living room! I love not having that noise around when we want to visiti or play games. Full access to house/kitchen.
The neighborhood is very dark and quiet. It makes for stunning views in the evening with the lights of homes reflecting on Horsehead Bay and stars above. Very low traffic area in a culdasac makes it very safe and quiet.
