Takayama places to stay

Such a perfect place to immerse yourself in the local culture! We loved every second of our stay, it was warm, welcoming, spotless, and incredibly cozy!

Such a beautiful house and a great location. Our family of four really got to spread out compared to some of the small apartments we have stayed in. It was lovely to have a quick face to face welcome from our host. And so helpful to have a few sauces and oils at hand for basic cooking. Beds are Japanese stlye, so pretty firm, but we adapted quickly and slept well, waking naturally with the sunshine. Takayama is stunning and we loved our visit. Hopefully we can return!

There is a supermarket and convenience store within walking distance, and the price is cheap, but there are many rooms, so it was great for a large group. I want to stay again when I go to Takayama Thank you very much.

We had no trouble finding the hotel from the train. It was a walking distance and it was quite a lovely walk because you see all the different stores and restaurants. We arrived early so we rested in the lounge and then went shopping and had lunch. Finally, our room was ready and we were very impressed with the decor as well as a cleanliness. We especially loves the outdoor onsen which made you feel really relaxed as you listen to the birds. Our next night was with another Iori property so they transported our luggage to the next destination (so that we didn’t have to lug it around on the bus). Overall, we would be returned!

Highly recommended! Super comfy and spacious house for 4 adults. About 5 mins walking distance from Takayama Station which is very convenient for us. One of the best local accommodation that I stayed in Japan so far. Anyone who love tatami will definitely love this house. The house is clean and equipped with all the cooking utensils. The biggest plus point is super near to the famous Maruaki Hida Beef restaurant with the walking distance less than 3 mins. The host Naoko is very helpful as she replied my message promptly. I will definitely come back for my stay if I ever visit Takayama again

Easily one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. The house is located in a beautiful and serene town surrounded by nature but close enough to town so that if you wanted, you could easily walk into the center and enjoy restaurants and cafes. We particularly loved the Insect Museum! With a car you can do trips to the bigger city of Kanazawa as well as other surrounding attractions in nature. The house was inviting, comfy, and most of all spotless! The bedrooms were prepared for us, the bathrooms were basically sparkling, and the living room; with its wood burning stove was so cozy! I’m not being hyperbolic when I say it was completely perfect. We are grateful to the hosts for offering up their beautiful home and their amazing hospitality. We truly cannot wait to go back!

Great place to stay, super close to everything, and it’s above a coffee shop for a great pick me up in the morning.

We loved our stay! It is a beautiful and quirky place to stay in. You have access to all, bar included. The place is very well presented. Upstairs is very spacious with heating. Plenty of space to spread out with your luggage- you won’t feel on top of each other. The downstairs kitchen is well equipped. Location wise, it was perfect for us. Convenience store close by and many small eateries. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful space!

This was our favourite stay during our 3 weeks in Japan. The location could not have been more perfect. Takayama is a hidden gem, and we appreciated that the bnb was located in the old town. Such a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. The host was incredibly helpful and kind. The sweetest lady! She picked us up and dropped us off at the station. If we find ourselves in takayama again, we will definitely stay here. Thank you!!
