Awesome space for a large group of people. Spacious living room and large dining table allowed us all to be together. Separate sleeping locations allowed sub-groups privacy from the main group. Host was communicative and flexible.

Tranquil 3-Bedroom in the Heart of Tacoma

LeahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house was very comfortable and well kept up with a mid-century modern vibe. The beds and linens were very nice too! The location is perfect if you have a student at UPS and central to get to other local attractions. There is some noise that carries from the guests/residents below, but to be expected in an older home and Reece was very responsive about any concerns.

Hotel House

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Great location for where it’s at. Honestly, my favorite part about the house was the bed. It was so comfortable. Honestly, I need to ask where you guys got your pillows from I need those at home. Overall, the house was nice and minimalistic. I think the only tiff I would have is getting accustom to the parking. Otherwise our stay was amazing and very easy. Very walkable to diners and ice cream shop and food.

Gorgeous 3 bedroom close to UPS & Downtown Tacoma!

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This cute house is bigger than it appears in the photos, is nicely decorated and has all the amenities. It's conveniently located in a residential neighborhood and still very close to shopping areas. The side and back yards are sizeable and in warmer weather would be great for eating outdoors. I even had two bunnies hopping through one afternoon! I would definitely stay again.

Olympic Peninsula Paradise Bremerton Washington

LindseyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We enjoyed our time at Scott’s place in Bremerton. The house is spacious enough for two families, or like ours, one family and each kid gets their own room. Check in and check out were smooth. The neighborhood is peaceful and extremely quiet. A quick drive from lots of shops. Thanks so much!

Modern Escape | Spacious 4BR Home for Families, Gr

MitzyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is our second time staying at this beautiful townhouse. Not only is it conveniently located across the way from our daughter’s apartment complex but we were drawn to rebook because of the great experience we had during our first visit. The house is very comfortable with four spacious bedrooms, full kitchen equipped with everything you need and more, the loft gave our children a place to hangout and play games, a high chair and playpen is provided; which is an added bonus for families with young children and plenty of linen/ towels is made available. Special thanks to Janell for her attentive and friendly service. Readily available whenever I reached out. Our stay overlapped into Easter. She went so far as to offer to put out Easter Eggs for the kids to enjoy an Easter Egg hunt. Thank you Janell!! Will most definitely booking again for our next visit!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament, and literally didn’t want to go because the house was so awesome! It is a built in vacation. The lake, pickleball, basketball, kayaking and the list goes on. This place is magical and I definitely want to come back soon.

My friends and I ADORED this Air BnB. A beautiful home in a beautiful Seattle neighborhood. It was a very functional and fun space to host a weekend away—kitchen well equipped for cooking, plenty of beds, great outdoor space. Sam was an excellent host who was responsive, accommodating, and communicative. Would definitely book this place again!

Entire home w/ office in South Hill, Puyallup, WA

MarielRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our family felt right at home in Michael and Monique’s home and were more than accommodating with our needs. The space, the comfortable rooms, well appointed kitchen to make family meals made our stay stress free. They truly were incredible hosts, and considering that our family relocated to Washington from Texas, and the burden that accompanies an out of state move, they went above and beyond to ensure that the transition for our family (my husband and I, and three kiddos) was as seamless as possible. We are grateful for the hospitality!

Gather in historic home - sleeps 8. A/C & EV

LauraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Great location. Communication with host was excellent. Our grandchildren loved the basement games; especially the air hockey. Beds were comfortable. Being an older house it is a slight challenge to regulate the heat. The upstairs bedroom was cool at night and the downstairs bedrooms were warm. The cleaners missed a few things but it didn’t bother us very much. But I couldn’t give it 5 stars for the cleaning. We would definitely recommend the house and we would love to stay here again!

Your guide to Tacoma

All About Tacoma

Tacoma is a vibrant city 30 miles south of Seattle on the banks of Puget Sound in Washington. Within a one-hour driving distance from Mount Rainier National Park and home to museums, historic neighborhoods, and a two-mile-long scenic waterfront, Tacoma draws travelers with its natural beauty and unique city attractions. You don't even have to leave the city to enjoy a great hike. The Point Defiance Trail System in Tacoma offers 15 miles of trails of different lengths and difficulty levels. One of the more popular routes is the 4.6-mile Square Trail, which traces the outer loop of Point Defiance Park. When you’ve worked up an appetite, grab market-fresh seafood by the water or sample beer from one of the local breweries in town.

Tacoma houses numerous museums and galleries dedicated to Pacific Northwest artists, like the Tacoma Museum of Art, and mediums they’ve helped elevate, like the Museum of Glass. In the downtown museum district you’ll also find the Washington State History Museum, a Children's Museum, and a Car Museum.

Vintage collectors may want to explore Tacoma’s Antique Row, a downtown district known for its antique and vintage homewares, sports memorabilia, clothing, and other treasures from decades gone by.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Tacoma

Tacoma has warm yet short summers, while winters are cold, cloudy, and wet, with a chance of snow in December and January. Spring and fall tend to be rainy with more overcast days occurring in the fall season. However, fall is a popular time for hiking among the changing fall foliage. Spring is the best time to see the rhododendrons in bloom. Stroll Point Defiance Park to see the riot of color at the Rhododendron Garden — peak season usually runs mid-April to mid-May. If you miss the rhododendrons, maybe you'll visit in July or early August in time to see (and smell) the Rose Tunnel at Point Defiance Park in full bloom. The state’s largest Fourth of July event occurs every year in Tacoma with fireworks, live music, and an air show.

Top things to do in Tacoma

Museum of Glass

The 75,000-square-foot Museum of Glass, housed in the birthplace of a renowned glass artist, is dedicated to the medium as an artform. You can explore its collections of production glass, studio glass, and contemporary glass, and also witness glass-blowing demonstrations.

Point Defiance Park

Point Defiance Park sits at the north end of the city with 760 acres of trails, gardens, and views of the Salish Sea. The Japanese Garden is a highlight here, with its pagoda, footbridge, and cherry blossoms. Consider a visit to Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, located in the park. Staff and volunteers at this restored Hudson Bay Company outpost wear period costumes and demonstrate what 19th-century life was like in the area.

Ruston Way Waterfront

The Ruston Way Waterfront coastal walkway runs from downtown to Point Defiance Park, offering up scenic views of South Puget Sound. There's no better spot to admire the city skyline against the backdrop of Mount Rainier in the distance, or the views of the South Puget Sound. Watch for seals basking or playing in the water nearby.
