Warm country cottage – CITQ # 304036 – 28/02/26

MarieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Marie’s place was one of the better Airbnbs my family and I have stayed at. It was so clean, peaceful, and quiet…just what we were looking for. We felt right at home. Our Bichon-Frise appreciated the dog snacks left for him, and also seemed comfortable with his surroundings right away. Marie left us chocolate and spring water, which were appreciated after our 6 hour drive. Marie was quick to respond to any questions and/or concerns I had. I LOVE the history of this home, too! As the 13th child in a family of 14, I really love that 11 children grew up in this home. My only regret is visiting before the golf course opened for the season. This will be a reason for us to return!!!

Chalet Stoneham, ski/mountain

LouiseRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Very well located for going to Jacques Cartier Park and Camp Mercier. Pleasant and well-equipped cottage. (Small downside for sensitive ears, heating is a little noisy) Nice walk to the maple grove. As we rarely rent cottages, is it customary to have to strip the beds and take out all the garbage despite a $140 cleaning fee? I'd go back of course! Thanks!

This was our second stay here while on a skiing trip to Stoneham, We loved the location to the ski hill. The condo was perfect for our family of 4 and Chantale was easy to reach when we had questions,. Her place is well maintained and clean. We love all the hooks she has everywhere which is helpful for your ski attire to dry out. The storage for our skis was a bonus too, It was a great stay.

CHEZ EDOUARD

MikeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Dave met us outside the place and gave us a brief tour and fabulous suggestions. We had a blizzard blow in during our stay and Dave was a great help with parking and suggestions for how to make the most of the city. The street is a bit busy, but that’s because it’s so accessible to the old quarter. If you’re willing to walk a bit it’s very convenient to get to Frontenac, a park with ice skating, and XC skiing, running, or cycling along the River. St. Joseph around the corner has a great market and several eateries and fun spots for drinks only 5-10 away. We had a great stay despite the blizzard!

Amazing place!! It's easy to get into, super safe, and spacious. They were extremely responsive and flexible. The place was exactly like it was in the pictures. It's a very short uber to anywhere you'd like to go. I will note that there are 3 bedrooms downstairs, but one of the bedrooms is on the main floor and doesn't have a door, only a curtain and it's right next to the dining room.

[PENTHOUSE-508] Work, Relax & Cook With Great View

SylvieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great time with the family at this place. Everything matched the photos, very clean and neat. The accommodation is spacious and offers a nice view (weather permitting). We really enjoyed the speaker in the living room which played jazz music and had great sound. We really enjoyed staying on Ile d'Orléans and being able to discover the island and not stay confined to downtown Quebec City. We recommend that you take a tour of the island to see the typical Canadian houses, and stop at the chocolate factory and the nougat factory for a sweet break. We also enjoyed eating in the sugar shack at the Blauin farm. Maxime was very responsive and gave a lot of information about the accommodation, parking, entrance, different facilities (maybe even too much information -> very long emails and a lot of info to read). We recommend this place for a quiet stay in nature.

Your guide to Québec City

Welcome to Quebec City

French Canadian landmarks and a beguiling cultural scene blend in this little marvel of a metropolis. At first, it’s the European ambiance of Quebec City’s compact historic core that charms you. This is one of the only walled cities in North America with its centuries-old fortifications still intact. In magical Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can chase the past through a romantic maze of cobblestone streets — popping in and out of tiny shops and gazing in awe at icons like the Citadelle, where you can witness the traditional changing of the guard.

Venture outside the colonial district and you’ll encounter eclectic neighborhoods that define the cosmopolitan edge of this provincial capital. You’ll find cafes and markets in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, trending bars and galleries in the revamped Saint‑Roch, and verdant parks for picnicking in laidback La Cité-Limoilou. When you want to play in the outdoors, plenty of the province’s coolest adventures await mere minutes from the city center: think paddling trips on the St. Charles River, farm and vineyard visits on the agrarian Île d'Orléans, and screaming along epic ziplines over the waterfall at Montmorency Falls Park. “C’est le fun,” as the Quebecois say.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Québec City

This is a city of festivals, with summer and winter being high times in Quebec City for cultural and culinary celebrations. Summer brings major international music acts to Festival d'été de Québec, the capital’s marquee music event typically hosted in July. Performers dressed in historic garb descend on Old Quebec in August for the New France Festival. Dozens of celebrations dedicated to the culinary, visual, and performing arts mean there’s something happening nearly every weekend from June to September.

During winter, the height of the holiday season in December draws crowds to the German Christmas Market and New Year’s Eve revelries. February’s Quebec Winter Carnival is one of the main attractions on the winter calendar. Fall and spring are noticeably quieter — prime times for exploring the region’s outdoors or strolling postcard-perfect streets without all the foot traffic.

Top things to do in Québec City

Quartier Petit Champlain

Wandering through the narrow streets of Quartier Petit Champlain — among the oldest commercial districts in North America — feels like stepping into a history book. This compact area of central Quebec City exudes centuries-old French Canadian character in its well-preserved stone buildings with gabled roofs, most filled with small cafes, independent shops, and pubs. The cobblestone Place Royale, lined with restaurants and the continent’s longest-standing church, marks the site of the first French settlement in the region.

Montmorency Falls Park

Hop aboard a cable car to reach the top of a cliff, where you’ll take in views of the tallest waterfall in the province of Quebec. At 272 feet (82.9 meters), Montmorency Falls stands nearly 100 feet (30 meters) taller than Ontario’s famous Niagara Falls. For a bigger adrenaline rush than snapping pictures of the misty falls, you can speed along a zip line across the cove.

Terrasse Dufferin

Wrapping around Château Frontenac, the castle-like icon towering over Old Quebec, Terrasse Dufferin is a Victorian-era boardwalk with stellar views. Perched above the St. Lawrence River, it’s a scenic spot for a sunset stroll, when you’re also likely to see a few street performers competing for your attention. Come winter, the terrace turns into a snowy playground, complete with a toboggan slide dating back to the late 19th century.
