The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, formerly and commonly referred to as the Château Frontenac, is a historic hotel in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The hotel is situated in Old Quebec, within the historic district's Upper Town. The Chateau Frontenac was designed by Bruce Price, and was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway company. The hotel is presently managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Opened in 1893, the Châteauesque-styled building is 79.9-metre-tall (262 ft), containing 18 floors. The building's height is furthered, as it is situated at an elevation of 54 m (177 ft).[5] It is one of the first completed grand railway hotels. The hotel was expanded on three occasions, with the last major expansion taking place in 1993. The building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1981.

The plains of Abraham is a fun place to be in winter. Below are some of the sports and activities available. 1) Cross Contry Skiing for free with more than 11 km of ski trails. 2) A 3.8 km trail (round trip) for snowshoeing 3) 5.6 km of walking trails. 4) A waxing room and two heated rest areas are also available. 5) A refrigerated outdoor ice rink, open from Dec 8, 2022 to March 13, 2023. 6) There are two sliding areas located at the major events site behind the Plains of Abraham Museum to slide in safety.

This huge field was the place where our ancestors fought for the siege of Quebec in 1759 & 1760. It is now a place for walking & appreciating the view of the Saint Lawrence river. You can go there by walking from the Terasse Dufferin or also by the Grande-Allée. A must see during the summer and also during the winter where you can cross-country skiing.
