Danielle is an amazing host. I have been using Airbnb for more than three years now and can say with all honesty that Dani's place is the best I have stayed so far. Honestly this was the perfect air bnb. The room was perfect and beautiful, the breakfast was lovely, everything we needed was there. We woke up to a peacock out the window and the most incredible view. Daniella's son let us in to have showers and he was such a lovely young man. Couldn't speak more highly of this place and we will definitely be back for another getaway from the city. Thank you so much!

We loved our stay at Danielle's 'Little Twickett'. The bird life was amazing, beautiful views and everything we needed was there in this cosy little cabin. We had a really lovely at Dani's cosy cottage. The room was beautifully decorated and all necessities were provided. We were even treated to a yummy breakfast including fresh eggs! I came to dandenong with 2 other friends and all of us fell in love with the room! It's really clean, well-furnished and so cosy that we could easily make ourselves like home. Lauren and family (including their dogs) are really friendly and informative! We were surprised breakfast was made readily available for us and it was easy getting to other places in dandenong. The only downside would be poor reception but that was quite common throughout dandenong. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, guaranteed comfort ;)

The Sun Room delivered everything that was promised. A cute, private (ie seperate) bungalow, that had all the little touches that made it so homely and comfortable. Lauren was flexible with our changing arrival times, and was in general a great host who did what she could to make our visit as nice as it was. If you don't mind having a chat or playing/petting the dogs, you will have awesome company for your stay. Lauren, thanks for your croissants and for your hospitality - the Sun Room was a perfect escape for us on our wedding night.

What a lovely scenic place! Lauren's place is amongst nature and adorable pets which is so relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend all who want to relax and get away and unwind to come here!

Arrived late after a long overnight flight travel on Xmas eve to this beautifully decorated house set in nature, John is very hospitable & shared with us a delicious Xmas chocolate cake & savory dish, it warmed our stomach & hearts. Wished we could stay longer have more time to hang out. Room is comfortable we couldn't rest enough from the 3hrs jet lag to check-out in time at 10am. Great place!

John was a really amazing host. He welcomed us with open arms and from start till end made sure all our needs were provided. Even when I asked to extend our stay on the spot, John was really accommodating . He made sure there was more than enough food in the room and even gave extra toppings. His house is the most exquisite you could ever imagine. The view from both bedrooms were breathtaking and waking up with birds in front of your room is something you could only dream of. We never felt cold at any point of our stay as there was sufficient heating and unlimited hot water :) John is a really nice , kind hearted guy . His place is THE place to go to as its really a private cosy place and it is at the same time close to all amenities. Will definitely return when Im in need of a break.

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The addition of breakfast supplies and fresh fruit was fantastic. Would highly recommend staying here.

My fiance and i spent one night at Tanah Kita, and it was just lovely, being greeted by Shaun & Charlott, and their friendly pooch. This property was easy to find, in a great location close to the wedding we were attending. It was quiet, there was heaps of space and had all amenities we needed! Shame we couldnt stay for longer!

The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable. We felt right at home and easily settled in. There were plenty of toys, books, magazines and dvds to keep us entertained on a rainy evening. The house is set in a beautiful garden in a very peaceful and quiet location. It feels like you are a world away from civilization, yet you are only a five minute drive to the town of Olinda with lots of cute restaurants and cafes. There were also numerous hikes available just a short drive away.

Great location close to walking tracks and cafes. Autumn was a great time to experience the area because of the red and orange leaves! There are some great shops a short drive away selling local artwork, including jewellery, clothing, and giftware, which should be checked out. You'll have a great time if you stay at this property.

The most amazing accommodation possible. We loved everything about it. The setting is idyllic and accommodation immaculate and beautiful. Charolett & Shaun were the perfect hosts very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic location in the forest that really feels like a get-a-way, but still not far off the main road for convenience. Hosts were very warm and friendly, greeting us on arrival, showing us the room and appliances & giving recommendations for dinner. The dog is very cute and very well behaved. The continental breakfast provided was great and included bread, spreads, cheese, yogurt, strawberries, orange juice and cereals. The room was very spacious, heating was great, and DVD collection was quite large. Would be happy to stay again.

This was a great little cottage right in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges. It was great for walks and close to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

Upon driving into the drive way, my partner commented that he loved the place already! After 4 days of driving along Great Ocean ard, John's place is a nice retreat for the last leg of our trip! Mask 52 was comfortable and relaxing. We were intrigued by the special birds outside our room every morning. John was so hospitable and friendly. He also gave us suggestions on how to make the best out of our 2 days in the area. We highly recommend John's listing.

Me and my girlfriend stayed one night at John's place and to be perfectly honest cannot say one bad or negative thing, John was fantastic and done everything possible to make us feel welcome and right at home, he even gave us a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The room was amazing, very clean and homely and with the open fire in the evening was quite possibly the coziest place in the Dandenong Ranges. Would recommend the place to anyone and most defiantly will visit again. Fantastic!

The property is set in the trees and has a nice view. Not completely private but good enough. Property was cool inside despite a humid Melbourne day. Perfect temperature at night. The bed is king sized and comfortable. There was milk, cereal and bread provided and I'm always delighted when this happens. Everything is as described and also two friendly and affectionate cats will come and say hello.

Staying in Bessie was such a treat. It was the perfect getaway. The location is central to see many sites of the Dandenongs. The accommodation, surrounding gardens and nearby rainforest were such a wonderful surprise. I recommend the rainforest walk which starts just metres from the front door. The accommodation is cosy and clean. And Jane and Jeff were amazing hosts ... friendly and welcoming. If you want the perfect escape from the city, then I highly recommend this little gem!

Beautiful ambience

Jane, we can't thank you enough. You were so kind and so accomodating for our late arrival & allowing us a late check out. Matt had an awesome birthday surprise and Sadie (doggie) was just completely at home. It was lovely to wake up to see the beautiful surrounds for the first time At sunrise & the creek walk right on our door step was a lovely, slow, relaxing way to start the day. Staying here is simply bliss. If you're looking for simple happiness, look no further. Jane is by far the most delightful, attentive and thoughtful host i've ever had the pleasure of staying with! Before going, i had planned on cooking a meal and just enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding 'Bessie' the caravan and Jane made sure i could do that without having to worry about a thing! Jane was there the moment we arrived gave us a verbal tour of all the little interesting bits of her place, and i must say, it was breathtaking. On one end of Bessie was an autumn tree farm and nursery with the most beautiful colours (autumn is amazing here), on the other, a little trek into the woods by a stream. I must also mention the gentle horses that visits the stable located a couple meters from the caravan each morning. Bessie, where do i start... staying in the caravan took me away from the troubles we all face in our daily lives. The vintage decor, the thoughtful retrofitting of the caravan and the spacious interior bounded by beds on either side - it was perfect for the both of us that stayed, and it would've fit a couple more! We came thinking that the caravan might get a little cold on a rainy autumn night but it was extremely warm inside. Bessie is the perfect getaway, located within a few minutes drive from a whole range of hikes, shops, gardens and restaurants! Wonderful place to stay, made even more special by a caring and thoughtful host. :)

We enjoyed our short stay in the rain forest in Olinda. The house is well set back from the road on a beautifully green property. The location is perfect as it is only a short walk in to town. Mike was a gracious and friendly host. Breakfast was simple and ready to go when we arose. The room was a good size (it fit our porta-cot easily) and it was great to have our own bathroom.

Thank you Michael for a most enjoyable 2 night stay with you at Olinda. You were the perfect host! Our bed was extremely comfortable - beautiful bedding - loved the large family area and decking. We enjoyed breakfast each morning especially with your home-made bread!! Loved out chats with you at breakfast and also meeting some other lovely guests. Your little dog "Dolly" is so sweet. You are located in such a great spot - short walk to shops at Olinda. This was our first experience with airbnb and it certainly wont be our last. We would love to return one day.

This place was SO BEAUTIFUL!!! The ideal Airbnb experience just outside of Melbourne but in the beautiful Dandenong mountains. My partner and I and two other friends came to Samantha's place for a weekend away from Melbourne. We were in the area for some Yarra Valley wine tasting and boy did we enjoy it! The house is gorgeous, stone steps, beautiful lighting, wooden furniture, beautiful views, right in the National Park, incredible bath and HOT TUB! The world renowned region is about 20 minutes drive away and some of the best wines you'll taste are waiting for you. We bought about 8 bottles between us and spent the nights playing board games and enjoying a beer with some music in the hot tub (even in the middle of winter!). Samantha was really easy to communicate with. Getting there and checking in was easy. Samantha was available via text for any questions we had. The place was prepared really nicely with a welcome note and bottle of wine! This place is a gem and we were so lucky to be able to book it on short notice. Highly recommended!

The place is cozy but for partying purposes you need to clean everything just like how neat it is when you arrived which I think is hard since you need to manage all the visitors' behaviours.

I loved my cosy little cottage. I lit the open fireplace and listened to an audio book of Game of Thrones while a storm raged outside. It was a perfect little hideaway. The only downside is that I had no mobile reception (I'm with optus)

Small but perfectly formed snuggle-den. Stayed two nights and loved the cottage, the location is crackin and the fact that the Pig & Whistle pub was just a short walk away was a massive win. The corner spa IS EPIC and we left feeling super chilled like we had been away for a week. We were there in cold weather so it was a great hideaway to hibernate in with pyjamas, wine and a cheeseboard. Nickett very kindly left the lights and heating on, and smooth jazz playing for our arrival which was a lovely touch. It was like coming home.

Absolutely gorgeous accommodation, the perfect size for a few days away with a lovely fire place and spa bath to enjoy. Great location, close to shops and restaurants in Olinda. It does get chilly overnight so pack some thermals! Great communication and the place was warm and cosy when we arrived. We will be back.

Really nice cozy little place. Close to Tatra receptions which is perfect if you have weddings to attend. Only recommendation, make sure you bring socks/slippers during the cold weather!

I stayed at Jasna's place with my mother and daughter when we attended a wedding reception at Sky High. It is a spacious and tastefully decorated space with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Jasna was a welcoming host and had the fire going ready for our arrival. Food provisions were generous and tasty and the surrounding garden and general area is typical of the picturesque Dandenongs. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!

Jasna went above and beyond to help make us feel most welcome and comfortable in her home. A lovely sanctuary hidden amongst the fog.

I cannot sing enough praise for Jasna and the wonderful accommodation. It is spacious, very clean and provides lots of extra comforts that you rarely see with AirBnB accommodation. The house is ideally located within a short walk from shops and cafes. It is suitable for infants and young children. Jasna was on hand at the drop of a hat to answer any questions and provide local advice. I only wish we could have spent longer!

My partner and i stayed here for two nights in november and absolutely loved it :) The spa bath is lovely, the views are simply amazing. We were very welcomed and had a chat with Vivian about the local places to eat/things to see and do. A trip to sky high is well worth it, the walk is great, a bit steep so wear walking shoes :) We will certainly be back, thanks so much for having us! :)

We had the most lovely weekend escape. Arrived to a fully stocked breakfast with great choices. Music was playing and the air con was on (we arrived on a 35 degree day!) Cosy and comfortable, we were able to relax as soon as we arrived. Close to shops and many restaurants. Public transport close by too, handy for us without a car. We will definitely be back.
