Wendy and Drew were amazing hosts, they were extremely communicative, they kept me up to date on any problems or news that may arise up to the day that we arrived at the cottage. There was only one slight communication problem, the Ad did not state that blankets were not included but since the problem was on their end, they fixed the problem in a timely fashion. We had sheets and comforters by the following morning, since we arrived late in the day. The cottage was amazing, the gift basket was well received and we utilized everything in it, thank you emensely. Kayaking, canoeing, swiming, and hiking in and around the cottage was spectacular and we had no reason to wander too far. The board games provided also lent to a few nights of entertainment and laughter around the kitchen table, drinking and catching up. The patio fire pit was also well used, and thanks again for the bug spray we put it to good use the local bug life is quite aggressive. We had no water one night due to the pump giving out, but that just gave us the opportunity to experience a taste of real camping since we had to bathe in the lake that night, an experience we joked about incesently, along with bringing up the buckets of water from the lake for the toilet. Drew had a new pump installed the following morning, thanks for the prompt service. All in all our stay was amazing, my friends and I will have many stories, pictures, and memories that include your cottage and all were positive. Thanks for taking good care of us and responding to our concerns so promptly and efficiently. Sebastian, Greg, and Doug

What a great location and the cottage was fantastic. I love having the two bunkies. The host was amazing with no hassles what so ever. We even had to change the date at the last minute and she was very accommodating. We will be going back hopefully next year. If I had the balls to complain about one thing I guess it would be the water. It was a little muddy coming out of the tap but after you ran it a bit it was fine. If you like bass then the fishing was amazing. First night I had about 45 minutes in the kayak (provided) and pulled in the first dinner with four 3 lb. (aprox) bass.

Great place to spend a week-end! Wendy was a great host to deal with and was always very attentive to our questions. There was lots of room for our party whether we were sitting back and watching a movie or cooking an sitting down to a meal. The view from the deck is outstanding and the cottage is very close to some prime fishing spots. We would definitely stay again!

We had five wonderful days at Wendy and Drew's vacation cabins. The weather was a little cloudy the first few days, but our last day was full of swimming and enjoying the water. It was a beautiful place and secluded as advertised. There were some other houses on the bay but the nights sitting by the fire were quiet and peaceful. We canoed and kayaked with the watercraft provided. The lake and cabin were a wonderful place to unplug from technology and relax. John and Mollie.

Wendy was a great host, we didn't make it in until later at night and needed to get a hold of her, she was available as soon as we needed her. The place was very clean and cozy, it has all the basics and more, which makes you appreciate the little things even more (a hot shower after a full day of canoeing was a blessing). Very easy to find instructions and in general a pleasure, great deck with fire pit and be set up. Very comfy beds but make sure you bring your own bedding and arrange a motorized boat rental if you plan on doing a lot of fishing, it's a big lake and canoeing places just won't cut it unless you are in crazy amazing shape I guess. Can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wendy's cottage on Lake Kipawa. Upon arriving to the cabin, we were greeted with a gift basket of assorted treats and thoughtful souvenirs for our trip. Wendy was very responsive to all of my inquiries and provided as much information as possible so that we could get the most out of our stay - she even provided an extra kayak to accommodate all of our guests. The cabin was charming and comfortable and the surrounding area was pristine and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone who would like to experience a peaceful getaway in Quebec.

Marisol's place is great! It is exactly what i was looking for: clean, quiet, well-located, with easy access to public transport. The amenities are perfect, though i didn't make use of most of them. I didn't meet Marisol, but she made herself available for me, and i felt i could contact her easily, and she would do what she could to resolve any issues i might have. I highly recommend this place, and will certainly call on her again when i travel back to Montreal.

Marisol was very responsive to all my questions from the beginning of the process. She really does cater to families. We have a 20 month old, and she procured a travel crib and bedding for us. The apartment is literally across the street from a fantastic park and wading pool that we enjoyed every day during our visit. We were pleasantly surprised to find Montreal has so many nice playgrounds, pools, and splash pad, but to have one right across the street was special. The location near the subway and Jean-Talon Market is exceptional. We walked there in the mornings to get breakfast and groceries. The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need without having to deal with a lot of personal items. We'd love to come back for another visit next summer!

Nice little place on the ground floor which makes a lot of sense while travelling with suitcases. This is my fourth flat in the same area and probably my best stay so far. Very convenient location and place with all what you need inside! Super happy to go home after a working day! I'll definitely try to book it for my next trip!

Marisol was really welcoming and left me a handwritten note with the keys because I was arriving late in the evening and needed some flexibility with my check in. I met her the second day of my stay and she was lovely. The space was simple, economical, and the location was very convenient for getting to the Beaubien metro and the Jean-Talon Market.

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Destino and in Montreal's Little Italy. We park the car when we get there - and either walk or take the Metro everywhere. The apartment is cozy and comfortable and feels like a home away from home to us. And Marisol and Beat are wonderful hosts!

Marisol's place was very clean and cozy with everything we needed for our short stay in Montreal. The apartment is located in the Little Italy neighbourhood and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we were not travelling with children, I would also recommend this place for families, as it is located directly across the street from one park and a block away from another. My finance and I could not have been more pleased with Esther's place. I hesitate to write a good review, because I want the place to be available whenever we go up to Montreal. But, the apartment deserves a GLOWING review. So much bang for your buck- what a fair price for such a great listing. Esther gave us all the information that we needed to easily check into the apartment - the decor is just... stunning. The bathroom is ridiculous, there's a kitchen and the most comfortable bed ever, a private entrance, access to a garden out back. The neighborhood was incredible. We walked down to Old Montreal, but it's also super close to the Metro and within easy walking distance of some of the best restaurants we've ever been to. We had an incredible long weekend and have Esther to thank!! Looking forward to going back up, soon.

Fantastic! Place was as advertised and worth the amount we paid. Place is within walking distance of a couple great restaurants. The owner communicated with us quickly. They even had beer waiting for us in the fridge for our arrival! We wanted entertainment one evening and got in touch with him by 8pm, and he had it set up by 8:30pm, and it arrived at 10. This show was worth the money as well. They did not mention that they had a ping pong table, so it was a bonus when we found that there. The location is within walking distance of a supermarket and is relatively close to a liquor store. The door had a keyless lock, which is great since our group would get broken up sometimes. These guys are pros and know what they are doing!

Will was great! He told us everything we needed to know before arriving. We even had the privilege of the apartment all to ourselves as Will was out of town. The apartment was immaculate!!! Me and my partner aren't clean freaks or anything but we like the basics - clean fresh towels and bedding, clean toilet and bathroom and kitchen. Wills apartment certainly had all of these things and more. He left us maps, toiletries and the wifi code all easy to access. The one small issue we had was one day the electronic door didn't let us in, so in a little panic we knocked on his neighbours door - who was very helpful and let us use his wifi to contact Will. Within 15 mins his partner Marc came with a key and let us in. In fairness it was reassuring to know that if anything happened and the Will wasn't nearby, then someone else was that could help so we didn't mind at all, it even gave us chance to meet more locals - every opportunity and all!

I stayed here with my boyfriend, and we absolutely LOVED this apartment. It looks exactly like the pictures, and the entire apartment, kitchen, and bathroom were fully equipped. Will was the perfect host - very nice, responsive and accommodating. I also loved that we were only a few blocks away from not just any metro station but one of the big hub metro stations (Berri-UQAM) so everywhere we wanted to go to was pretty much only 1-3 stops away from the apartment. The 747 bus from the airport also stops at Berri-UQAM. SO convenient!! I would, without a doubt, stay here again if I ever revisit Montreal.

Will was a great host - really friendly and full of lots of tips on places to go. O'Thym in particular was a great restaurant. This apartment was great value for money and we'd highly recommend.

My wife and I were looking for a comfortable room in downtown Montreal with reasonable privacy and a friendly host. This B&B suite and its host, Will Atkinson, exceeded our expectations in every respect. Will's suite is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is large and fully appointed and the bedroom is comfortable and quiet. Will is not only very helpful and anxious to please and he is a delight to converse with. We liked the location. There are needy people in the neighbourhood but we adapted to it very quickly and never felt uncomfortable. The Metro station is nearby and once we were attuned to it we used it extensively. We recommend Will's home enthusiastically.

Evgeny is such a terrific host and the living arrangements are terrific for families or groups. The pool table and foosball table were great to have when not outside the house. Travellers unfamiliar with the area, rest assured, it's only 15 mins (or less) to downtown Montreal, airport, and Old Port. Very convenient location. Ratha and Kelly were excellent to work with from the beginning. Any question that I had prior to the visit (e.g. regarding parking, travel) they were quick to respond to. When I arrived they even saved a parking spot for me so I didn't have to pay for parking while visiting for the weekend. Ratha and Kelly took the time to explain where everything in the house was as well as show us what was available to use. They stocked the fridge with water and light snacks, provided shower kits, and provided information on where the local grocery stores were. The condo was pristine and well kept. I am very happy to share my love for one of the oldest neighbourhoods in North America. I do travel often but am always available to direct you to interesting options to help you enjoy your vacation. One of the Oldest neighbourhoods in North America. Where Canadian Banking, Trading, Printing, Transportation, and Nation were conceived. Montreal was an American city for 7 months from November 1775 to May 1776 (the yankee occupation) when Benjamin Franklin concluded it would be easier to buy the province of Lower Canada than to conquer it. The Chateau Ramsey (1705) (around the corner and left on Notre Dame street) was home to the American parliament during the war for independence and briefly of American Generals Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold and American diplomat Benjamin Franklin, sent to convince the French Canadians to join the rebellion against England, during the brief Yankee occupation of Montreal during the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin set up the first printing press in Canada when he was here. Fleury Mesplet was sent here by Franklin to print pro revolutionary propaganda meant to convince francophones to join the cause of the United Colonies. He found lodging in a tavern and set up his printing press in a building on rue Capitale (a lane running from St-Sulpice to St-François-Xavier, South of St. Paul street, north of de la Commune street). There used to be a plaque in the lane that for some reason is no longer there! Fleury did not leave with the revolutionaries and ended up founding the Montreal Gazette, it is still printed today, pick one up. The old Montreal GAZETTE building on St Jaques street now a hotel. LaPresse still have their offices on the corner of St. Laurent and St Jacques street. Le Devoir started on St. Vincent street as did the first publishing houses in Canada. Old Montreal started as a religious mission and later a fur trading post. It was founded by the Sulpician order from France. They built a copy of Notre Dame Church in Paris on Notre Dame street. I have been to both and can tell you that our interior is much more impressive. Montreal was home to many Blacksmiths in the early days as to produce metal instruments to trade with the natives for fur. The furs were traded around present day Place Royale and the lanes to the east and west of the square. Samuel de Champlain founded Ville Marie in 1642 at Pointe De Caliere where a small stream met the river, today where Pointe a Callier museum sits. A statue to him sits in front of Notre Dame church on Place D Armes in the middle of a modern version of Place D Armes which used to be a Victorian Park. In front of Chateau Ramsey sits Montreal City hall (1872) a smaller version of Paris City hall and the first in Canada to be built solely for Municipal governance. In front of City Hall stands (Horatio) Nelson s Column(1809) on Place Jacques Cartier predates Nelson s column in trafalgar square In London England (1843). Across the street you will see bonsecours Market which was the parliament of Canada for a brief time. Also Notre Dame de Bonsecours Church founded by Marguerite Bourgeous. Walk out the door ,turn left and down the street from the apartment sits one of the founding fathers of Canada s residence. Sir George Etienne Cartier's residence in Montreal, at 458 Notre-Dame Street East, which is now the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site dedicated to his life and achievements. It also serves to recall the architectural heritage and lifestyles of the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal. He helped found Canada along with Sir John A. Mcdonald, The CP railroad, The civil code (still used today), Grand Trunk Railroad (Old Head Office on Mcgill street), and have British Columbia join confederation, Creating the Province of Manitoba, Negotiating the purchase of Rupert s land and The Northwest Territories. You are in his neighbourhood, along with Jacques Viger, Joseph Papineau, Renee Levesque, Pauline Marois, to name a few. Canada s wall street (St Jacques street formerly St James street) where all the first head offices of Canadian banks were opened. the first on Place D Armes the Bank of Montreal (1847) Pantheon like building. Open a bank account at this branch, the transit number is 0001 as it was the first bank in Canada! The birthplace of Canadian banking on 113 St. Paul street east, where you will find a plaque commemorating the site of the first Bank of Montreal and the birthplace of Canadian banking. Still with me? This is only minutes from the apartment...get the picture? Well Old Montreal today is a lot like Old Montreal of yesterday. Politics, cafes, culture, Social events and life. The Old Port hosts the Igloofest in February which is a four weekend Techno party outside in the winter weather with ten thousand Vintage ski suit clad partiers dancing to the finest techno on the planet. I know un imaginable you should see the look of disbelief on the artists faces when they see the scene before them. Montreal's Cirque du Soleil World Premieres all it s new shows in May every year here in the Old Port. We are home to the best nightclubs in the city along with lively bars and Parisian style outdoor cafe s and yes some tourist traps that are not so bad. We are home to some of the best chef s in the country concocting their wizardry in the most antique and unique of settings. There is an impressive list of Art galleries starting around the corner on Bonsecours street and rounding onto Rue St. Paul all the way to Mcgill street an impressive display of Art in the windows of these galleries as we walk along this Art gallery route. Old Montreal In very recent years it has been developed in some cases the right way in other cases for pure greed. It started to be torn down until Mayor Jean Drapeau ( there is a statue of him in a park in front of city hall) protected it. A fight that carries on today! Unfortunately over the years dull minded individuals have not respected it when trying to make a profit. Luckily much of it is intact and a well kept secret I would like to share with you. Stay away from the overpriced hotels here as their greed is destroying the first Cold Storage facility and super market in Montreal the Gunn Langlois dry goods and cold storage market between St. Vincent street and Place Jacques Cartier. Don t encourage them please, they are destroying my neighbourhood. A nine story blemish in our old neighborhood completely against the zoning laws, and our protected heritage. Other s like the Gault Hotel on ste Helene street which is housed in North America s first YMCA, did a commendable job of restoring a heritage building. Ste Helene street is the only street in Montreal to have gas lanterns of yesteryear a little known fact. I invite you to visit, daydream, fantasize about the past, live for the present in my neighbourhood which I dearly cherish. Stay in the shadow of the Angels guarding our port atop the Notre Dame de Bonsecours church sandwiched between art Galleries, Celebrity chef s, founders of nations, Parliaments of nations, on the step to the gateway to the New World! There is a bixi stand right near the flat where you can rent bicycles by the hour and drop them off in other parts of the city. We are right next to the bike path that connects the city and continues along the Old Port and Lachine Canal. There are a metro and bus stops close by. St. Paul street pedestrian walkway is 1 block from the apartment. Take a water taxi across the street in the Old Port to St Helen s Island. Great outdoor patio very rare in Old Montreal!read more

The listing was accurate, the apartment very nice. It's in a terrific area, lots of things going on, lots of restaurants and galleries. Easy walk to the Palais des Congres, where we were working. Catherine was there to meet us and had the apartment sparkling. With two bedrooms and two baths, it was perfect for coworkers of different genders. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The patio was a nice extra. The fridge was stocked with an assortment of drinks and snacks; a very nice touch. I would definitely book this place again.

We (a family of 5) had a wonderful stay in Montreal, thanks, in large part, to having chosen to stay at this apartment. The location is perfect for exploring the old city and there are dozens of interesting restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Nelson was a gracious host, and it's clear that he's willing to go the extra mile to see to his guests' needs. Our only regret was not staying a few more days!

We had a absolutely great time at Nelson's apartment. Nelson was a wonder full host, how met us at the door, provided a tour of the apartment, and guided us to great spots in the neighborhood, and city. The apartment is spacious, clean, and well stocked by Nelson. Gorgeous! We plan on stay with Nelson again!

We love this Air BnB apartment as it offers us everything we are looking for, ie a clean and convenient apartment in Old Montreal that is close to the restaurant and bar scene along Rue St Paul and a warm and inviting apartment with a great fireplace to settle into on those nights that you want to stay in a read and relax. The apartment could not be better located and is quiet. The interior finishes are very warm and inviting. It is an easy apartment to settle in for a nice evening with a bottle of wine, or two, and a fire.

The apartment looked exactly like the pictures with additional features. It was very clean, as well. Jing's instructions were very detailed, which made it very easy to access the building and keys. We were about a ten minute drive from most of the places we were visiting such as Old Montreal. Jing was very responsive and helpful.

What an amazing condo! Perfect little spot for one or two people. Tastefully decorated - clean - and all the amenities of home. Not to mention its walking distance from anything you could possibly want or need to do downtown. Minutes from the bell center and at Catherine street, with a dep & saq just a block away. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to explore the downtown area. Jing was the perfect host and made the traveling/parking/getting in as simple as could be. Thanks Jing !!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jing's place! The location was ideal, within walking distance of Bell Center and the Museum of Fine Arts. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. My one and only complaint would be the bed, it wasn't very comfortable, very hard, I didn't sleep well. Otherwise, great place!

We had a lovely stay at Jing's flat – as you can see in the pictures, the place is beautiful, spacious and bright. It was very well-located – we were blessed with good weather in November, and we walked everywhere. The flat is very well-equipped with appliances and cookware. Though we never met Jing in person, communication was excellent and the check-in process went very smoothly. I would highly recommend Jing's flat for anyone visiting Montréal!

I absolutely loved the location of this apartment. Literally a stones throw away from Rue Catherine which is full of bars and restaurants. While I was not able to meet Svetlana upon my arrival she provided crystal clear check-in instructions. As an English speaker with very little fluency in French, the narrow yet convenient parking was a blessing. Overall, great, clean apartment with a pool and deck I would've loved to spend more time in if it weren't 11 (F) degrees.

Svetlana and Karim's place is nice and clean. It has all the amenities as described. It is near many restaurants, a grocery store, and a metro station. They are very receptive hosts who are easy to get in touch with. The only tricky part was finding the underground parking garage behind the building if you are bringing a car. It is accessible via an alley way to the right of the building. This is a place I would recommend to my friends and family.

Jing's place was very clean and well decorated. The beds were overall pretty comfortable. The location is good but I would be aware that if you have a lot of luggage it can be hard to access as initially there are about 10 stairs or so in which can be difficult with a lot of luggage as we had. Location in downtown and walkable to most places. Jing always responded quickly to any questions.

We had an amazing time in Montreal this past weekend. A group of ladies all went down for a bachelorette party. The house was just as shown on the listing and Diane was such a pleasure to work with. She was professional and very kind. Our flight didn't leave until late Sunday night so she allowed us to leave our baggage behind so we didn't have to lug it around the city with us. The location is absolutely perfect! There are so many little restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, an SAQ (similar to a LCBO) all within a 5 minute walk if not less. Downtown Montreal was a mere 20 minute walk and with such fabulous weather we walked EVERYWHERE! The festivals were in full effect so we were able to roam around and enjoy those too. When coming back to visit, I would not hesitate to contact Diane again. Merci beaucoups Diane, we had such a great time!

This was the perfect apartment for a group stay in Montreal. The apartment was huge, with comfortable beds for all 8 of us. It was located in walking distance of Mont Royal and was about a 5 minute uber from anywhere you would want to go. Stayed here with a bachelor party of 6 guys. We met Fred, Diane's son who let us in with no problems. The apartment has a great location very close to St Laurent. On the first floor is a bathroom, kitchen, living room with TV, Apple TV, fast wifi, speakers for music and a table. There's also a twin bedroom and queen bedroom. The second floor has another bathroom, another twin bedroom and two double queen rooms. The deck outside is fantastic! One complaint is that the first floor shower would always leak. Other than that would definitely stay again. We had a great time!

Kim and Will were probably the best AirBNB hosts we have ever had. We truly felt welcome in their home, and it felt more like staying with friends than somewhere random. They had great recommendations for food/drinks/activities in the area, and they even spent a lot of their time talking to us about their neighborhood, their jobs, and anything we felt like talking about. Their dogs are absolutely adorable and a total treat. Additionally, all of the decor was unique and creative, and we will probably steal ideas for our own house. We would love to return and stay with Kim and Will again anytime! (Oh, and Kim even loaned us HER umbrella during a rainstorm so we wouldn't have to buy one. That was incredibly sweet of her!) They're very interesting, kind people, and you won't regret staying with them!

This was an ideal place for our stay in Montreal. What I look for more than anything else is the cleanliness of the place. Kim & Will's place was clean like my own place. The window gives you enough light. The room is small but still had room for all of our things. The bed was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had what we needed. The location is very accessible by metro. The place is walking disdance to two metor stations. It appears to be accessible by bus too but we never tried that as the weather was nice and we just walked to stations. The neighborhood is interesting, I know that from a previous stay, this time around we did not get the chance to explore the neighborhood. We met with Kim, but did not get the chance to meet Will as we were out both days till late in the evening. Kim is very friendly and helpful, easy to get along. The two dogs are very cute and playful. I definitly recommend this place for your stay.

For those reasons, I prefer not setting a precise arrival time, so that you don't stress out to make it here on time. You're on vacation, no rush! The apartment has a keyless lock, so I will let you know how to enter by yourself 2 or 3 days before your arrival. At the same time I will provide many useful details about the apartment. Guests may arrive anytime after 2:00pm and must leave before 11:00am on departure day. However, if I am available, it will be my pleasure to be present for your arrival and welcome you to my apartment. - Ste Catherine's street - many grocery stores - tons of restaurants & cafés - Montreal Fine Art Museum - Concordia & McGill University - Bell Center - Atwater Mall & Atwater Market - Famous Crescent street for its pubs, restaurants & clubs - Lucien-L'Allier Metro/Subway Station on the Orange line - Guy-Concordia Metro/Subway Station on the Green line - Bixi stand (on the fly bike rental) one block away - Taxi/Cab stand across the street - Central Train Station & Metro/Subway very close by. - Central Bus Station easily accessible by public transportation. It takes +/-20min without traffic and the driver will bring you in front of the building. 2- Take the 747 bus. Andrei is a wonderful host! Very friendly, professional, and helpful. He was very accommodating of our schedule and gave us excellent recommendations on things in Montreal. The apartment is very clean, organized, and has all what is needed, is exactly as described in the posting, and is very centrally located in a lovely neighborhood. We would certainly be delighted to go back.

I booked this apartment two days before my arrival into Montreal and was very lucky to find this gem. Andrei was such a wonderful host and knows his city well. He replies to every message in a timely manner with thorough instructions and offers very helpful suggestions with transportation from the airport. The apartment was very easy to locate and is exactly was described in the pictures and was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the same to anyone who is visiting the city.

What a great stay! From my very first contact with Andrei, he made using airbnb a good experience. The apartment is exactly like it looks in the pictures and is very clean. It is well located with 2 metro stations within walking distance, and Andrei's guide book makes figure out where to go and how to get there incredibly easy. Andrei was super accommodating as a host and I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone interested!

Everything from the beginning was just absolute perfection! My girlfriend and I stayed at Andrei's lovely condo for a whole week and we will definitely come back soon. I couldn't be any happier with the decor, the cleanliness, the comfort, the amazing view and of course the great neighborhood. The condo is walking distance to everything you need and then some. We enjoyed our late evenings in the balcony because it was so cool outside and the city is just so beautiful. Andrei was also kind enough to accommodate us with coffee, snacks, plenty of drinking water, towels etc. In all honestly, this was the best find and I got very lucky with getting to book this condo. Thank you so much Andrei was a great experience at Montreal. We will definitely come back, no doubt about it.

The apartment was perfect for our needs (and super cute). I can't imagine a better location, either: a short walk from the green and orange lines, which got us everywhere we'd planned to go, and we were within walking distance of Rue St. Catherine, Crescent Street, the Musee de Beaux Arts, Mont Royal (great jogging spot!), and lots of other cool areas/attractions. Andrei was descriptive with instructions and available to help us out if we needed, but left us alone to enjoy our stay, which suited us just fine. He also had suggestions for places to go and lots of guide materials for sight-seers. Also: the view from the balcony CANNOT be beat. The only issues we ran into were that the Internet gave us trouble on our last night (only a big deal if you have to work during your trip), and we had a bit of confusion figuring out how to get up from the parking garage without the key card when we first arrived, but we got it sorted in less than 5 minutes. We loved our stay and would definitely rent this apartment again!

François responded to telephone calls, texts and emails in a prompt and friendly manner. He was very helpful and open to questions and comments. The loft was exceedingly clean and spectacular with its windows. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were wonderful and the washer and dryer and soaker tub were wonderful perks as we spent a week there and these proved invaluable and so refreshing. The centrality of the location to the Metro, local IGA store and dining made it perfect and I enjoyed sitting in the windows with one open as I sipped my coffee and watched the stylish early morning commuters. I would highly recommend this loft and will definitely return for another wonderful adventure.

What a beautiful place!! Francois was great to have as a host- very quick to respond to any questions! High windows with tons of light, great location for going pretty much anywhere in Montreal, and huge kitchen with all amenities (little store across the street with basic grocery and beer/wine was great too!). The large bathtub was definitely a plus for a total relaxing getaway :) quiet building and very comfy bed- absolutely would stay here again!

Francois has a stunning loft which was even better than the photos. The style, furnishings, openness, and space are beautifully designed. The high ceilings and 15 foot arched windows made this place airy, light, and kind of majestic. The location could not have been better as it is right at Old Montreal with all of its cafes, restaurants, plazas, people, and the Notre Dame Basicila, We wanted to live here! All of Francois's information was clear, detailed, and accurate. The loft has a complete and open kitchen and dining space. We did not want to leave and hope to return. Thanks, Francois.

Beautiful loft and great location. Parking was confusing at first but not too terrible. $18 for 24 hours public lot with good lighting. 5 minute walk from the metro station and less than one block from the notre dame basilica. Francois was always available when we needed him and was very helpful. Highly recommended!

This loft is even more breathtaking in person! Francois was so helpful and very quick to respond to any questions I had, which put me at ease as this was my first time trying Airbnb. We were able to check in early, and Francois even confirmed everything the morning of our arrival. The location was perfect, literally a two minute stroll to the Notre Dame Basillica and steps away from 5 star restaurants. My boyfriend and I walked everywhere during our stay, I am not kidding, the location is amazing! And the view from the large windows, also amazing! We were out exploring the city most of our stay, but this place brought such a nice feeling of comfort and luxury when we came back to unwind and rest our heads. I would definitely recommend this place!

During the day, after waking up and walking to get some crave-worthy espresso from the surrounding cafés, you can walk through Chinatown to the Old Port (a.k.a. This was a STUNNING apartment with gorgeous high ceilings, huge windows, and skylights. I rented it as a home base for my cousin's bachelorette party. She was really impressed and happy. The king-size bed is crazy comfortable, the decor is gorgeous (I think I saw one of Lauren's own creations!). It's in the middle of the city: we walked to all the activities I had planned (old port, gay village, underground mall), and when the nightclubs finally sapped our energy, we could crash here easily and fast. All the instructions (wifi) were easily available, and Lauren was very responsive when I asked her questions in the Airbnb chat. I really recommend this place and this host. I would definitely go here again.

I stayed at Lauren's loft for Osheaga long weekend with 5 other girls for a bachelorette. We had an absolutely amazing time. The loft is very spacious and was more than enough room for the 6 of us. It is even more amazing in person than what is shown in the pictures. Lauren was very kind in having all of the beds prepared for us (there were 4 beds set up for the 6 of us, including a king sized bed), fresh towels, condiments/spices, etc. We felt right at home. The balcony overlooking St. Laurent street was perfect for enjoying our breakfast outdoors and for having a drink at night. The location is great, there are plenty of amazing restaurants, shops, and cafe's all within walking distance. Lauren was quick to return our inquiry about parking (there is one free parking space right around the corner), which was really helpful. We had a great time and hope to stay here again for our next trip to Montreal! Thank you Lauren!

Lauren's apartment is BEAUTIFUL! It is so much bigger than the pictures seem - we were 4 adults and had so much extra space. The entire space was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking in - we picked up groceries at Jean-Talon and made a beautiful dinner at home with a view of the downtown skyline. The apartment is so nice you will want to stay in instead of going out! But, the neighborhood is great too - lots to see and do in walking distance. There is a bixi bike station right across the street as well as a paid parking lot - very easy to get around. Lauren was helpful and friendly in all of our contact. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Montreal.

On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal (Parking included). This is it ! In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.) The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type). You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques. There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts. The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min). Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away… Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed) Free reserved parking till June 30 2017. Very vibrant If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.read more

The listing was very accurate for this place. Joseph made us feel very welcome, and had left folders with suggestions of places to eat and drink in the area. The place was very clean, tidy and warm. There was even a great little espresso machine! Joseph was very kind when we messed up our booking and thought we were leaving a day late, making him late for his next booking. We're so sorry about that!

Joseph was very easy to work with when we first arranged to rent the apartment, responding quickly and thoroughly to our questions via email. He met us shortly after we arrived at the apartment to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. The apartment is in a convenient, quiet location, near lots of shops and a short walk to a lovely park and to the Metro, and it included a parking space. Joseph provided helpful personalized guides to nearby shops and restaurants, along with maps of the metro and the city. The apartment is clean, bright and attractively decorated. With an open floor plan, it is very efficiently organized, and included everything we needed. Joseph even supplied coffee and tea, and additional welcoming touches including fruit and a few supplies in the refrigerator. We could not be more pleased with the apartment and Joseph's hospitality, and would definitely like to stay there again next time we are in Montreal.

Joseph's "This is It" is exactly that. An incredible aptartment near anything you could need or want in Montreal. Just a couple of block walk to the bus line that takes you to the Metro station to get any where in town. Across the street from the park that is huge and full of activities, and 2 places to rent bicycles. Grocery stores within 3 blocks and dozens of resturants. Joseph's guide is a great help. When you arrive you'll find a fridge with water and numerous other treats for you. His coffee maker is awesome and he provided the coffee! The best part was Joseph himself. He lives right next store and is a very warm person, as are this neighbors.

This place is great, cozy and comfortable. The parking spot is good and right outside the unit for easy access. Joseph came out to give us a warm welcome when we checked in, he was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was stable and decently fast (approx. 15 mobs) and there were a decent selection of channels on the tv. Kitchen came fully stocked with pantry and utensils, Joseph even gave some fruits/beverages on the house which was extremely nice. Overall we had a great experience with Joseph and his unit and would definitely recommend it to any one looking for a cozy home for 2 people.

I felt at home the moment I arrived at Joseph's place. There was a welcome drink waiting in the fridge and very helpful instructions to find close by grocery stores etc. The apartment was exactly as depicted/described. It was very clean. The apartment is walking distance from the subway: only two subways stops from the center of town. I would highly recommend Joseph's place for both a short or long stay in Montreal. It was one of my best airbnb experiences I've had so far.

The apartment itself was cozy and near spotless upon arrival. Also, the neighborhood is amazing; there's so much around it to eat, buy, etc. Overall, it was a wonderful stay under two awesome hosts.

We found the place clean, pleasant and exactly like the pictures. Alex and Eva were easy to reach when needed. And we actually didn't need to bother them at all. All went so well. The neighborhood is great. Plateau is the best place in Montreal when it comes to vacation. Bunch of restaurants and cafés. Weather in end september was perfect. We stayed a week for family reunion and everyone loved their place and the hood we stayed at. Totally recommend their place! Thanks guys!

Quiet and sunny room in a recent charming condominuim. 2 mins walk from metro station Parc and grocery. 15-20 min to downtown via metro. Next to Jarry park (Rogers Cup tennis). 15 min walk from Jean Talon public market (the biggest in North America). The room has a private entrance by the terrasse. It contents a confortable double size bed and an office desk. The guest can use the living room, the kitchen (only for breakfast), and of course the bathroom. We are willing to help and give good recommandations to make your stay in Montreal pleasant. You are at the crossing point of the little Italy with excellent restaurant, public market and coffee places, and the Greek and Indian neighborhood. The Jarry park is one of the biggest in Montreal, perfect for sport activities (jogging, tennis, soccer, basketball...), for pic-nik, and chilling out... The metro station is 2 min walk from the appartment. In addition there are some parking places in the area. We speak French, English, Czech, and some Spanish.read more

I reached out to Ludovic & Sylvie to host an exchange dinner for a group of French executives I was bringing to Montreal for business meetings. They graciously agreed to cook them dinner and host them for an evening of conversation.

Ludovic and Sylvie were really nice host and the place is awesome like in the picture if it is not more! Easy communication with Ludovic to prepare arrival. He was here upon arrival and gave us information and advices on place where to go in Montreal. Using the balcony door is very convenient especially when coming back late in the night and it also give privacy. Room, bathroom and other common place were very clean. Place close to the subway and really safe area of Montreal. I definitively recommend this place.

Wow! Ludovic and Sylvie were great. Friendly and super helpful with showing me things to do and see in the city. They were a really flexible and laid back couple with a perfect balance of conversation and privacy. Place was as described with private entrance meaning I wasn't disruptive coming back late in the evening. Bed/couch was comfy, no problems there. Very close to shops and transport.

Wonderful people! Ludovic came to get me at the station even late at night, and it was only a few minutes walk to their place in a nice new building. The room was clean, roomy, well-decorated and perfect for me, with a nice bed for sleeping, and it's nice to have a private back entrance also. It's very close to Jarry Parc and the train station. I only heard the trains passing a couple of times, and it didn't wake me up or bother me at all. It's also close to good bus and subway connections to downtown Montreal. Ludovic's home=made bread should be famous in a city known for good bread. Everything was great, and I only wish I had more time to spend with these wonderful people.

Ludovic and Sylvie have a beautiful house, easily reachable with the subway and located in a quite neighborhood. They are very nice and helpful; they were extremely patient with my bus delay and Ludovic came to pick me up at the subway station..they offer me a coffe and a homemade bread. The room is big and luminous, moreover the bed is really comfortable. Although it was for one night only, I had a perfect homestay! Thanks a lot :)

Ludovic and Sylvie are such a wonderful couple! We were very lucky to stay with them. From the very first moment they made us feel welcome. The room is exactly as they described it. They made sure to give us all that we need to make our stay comfortable. They took the time to print information with the wifi password, indication of bus numbers, taxi phone numbers, a map of near by stores, etc They gave us a map of the city and they sat next to us to explain us how to get to different parts of the city. Next day they went out with us to show us around. We had a blast with them! It was a great experience! Don't miss the opportunity to host them or stay in their place, you will have a great time for sure =)

Vacation Rental · Montreal
Clean and cozy apartment with artistic finishing touches. Awesome backyard surrounded by shrubs and trees, stone patio + BBQ and year-round therapeutic hot tub make for a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor space! 2 queen beds + large sectional sofa. This home is close to everything you need in Montréal! Built in the early 1900s, this garden-level 2-bedroom 1 bath house has undergone many renovations in the past few years. That being said, it's original charm has still been retained. This home is comfortable, with a large L-couch in the living room for relaxing. The two bedrooms both have queen-size beds, one soft and the other firm, with plenty of blankets and thermostats to keep you warm during Montreal's chilly months. Both bedrooms also have desks that work great as laptop stations for getting some work done. The kitchen has a dining area for 4-6 and a small breakfast nook that can also serve as a nice work-space. In the backyard we have a garden where you can sit and bask in the sun or use the grill and enjoy a barbecue in the warmer months. During the winter, there is no better way to beat the Montréal cold than taking a dip in our relaxing hot tub. • High-speed WiFi • Fresh linens and towels • Complimentary Shampoo • Fully equipped kitchen • Coffee, tea & sugar • 58" SmartTV with cable • SunDance Optima Hot Tub Spa • Cosco Fun Sport Play Yard crib Guests have access to the entire ground-level apartment, including backyard and garden, wifi, and hot tub. The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware - amenities and groceries are just blocks away and easy to get to on foot! The entire apartment is yours to enjoy. We are both easily reached via Airbnb messaging or phone call and available to help you with anything you need. From questions about our home to local restaurant recommendations! Don't hesitate to message or call anytime! Our home is situated in between Montréal's Old Town/Old Port, the Plateau Mont-Royal leading to Mont-Royal Mountain, and the Olympic Stadium to the east, along with the Biodome animal habitat and Botanical Gardens. All of these Montreal attractions are easily accessible by Montreal's metro system (Station Préfontaine), located just a couple of blocks away from our home. Food Within Walking Distance: • There is a very good bakery just a 5 minute walk away as a breakfast idea. (Le Boulanger/Au Pain Doré @ 3075 rue de Rouen). • There is a corner-store that has a lot of the basics (Métro Rouen) located on the way to the bakery, at the corner of Wurtele and Rouen, open everyday from 9-21. • Also fairly close to our home is Dépanneur Peluso which sells over 400 types of local microbrews if you are looking for something unique to drink (Bonisoir @ 2500 rue Rachel Est; open 7-23 everyday). • Our neighbourhood public market is Maisonneuve Market (Marché Maisonneuve) @ 4445 rue Ontario Est, though it is a bit further of a walk away (30 minutes). • If you are looking for a larger grocery store near our home, we recommend Provigo, just a 10 minute walk away (@ 2925 Rue Rachel E). • SAQ (Québec's liquor retailer) is located in the same plaza as Provigo. • A further drive away, one of our favourite grocery stores is Supermárche PA. Jean Talon is also a beautiful market to check out. • The closest ATM is at the Shell gas station, one block away from our home just up the hill (2800 rue Sherbrooke E). Restaurants nearby our home in the Hochelaga district: • Sata Sushi (3349 Rue Ontario Est) • Le Valois - French restaurant (25 Place Simon-Valois) • Atomic Café (3606 Rue Ontario Est) • Piri Piri (Portugese Chicken; 3753 rue Ontario E) • Café Coop Touski (2361 Rue Ontario E) • Antidote Comptoir Végane (Sandwiches/groceries; 3459 rue Ontario E) Nearby Bars: • L'Espace Public-Brasseurs De Quartier (3632 Rue Ontario E) • Monsieur Smith (4061 Rue Ontario E) • Le Blind Pig (3882 Rue Ontario E) • Le Trèfle Taverne Irlandaise (3971 Rue Ontario E) • Le Valois (25 Place Simon-Valois) Restaurants further away: • Aux vivres (4631 boul St-Laurent) Healthy/delicious vegan restaurant $ • Hachoir (4177 rue Saint-Denis) ~ Tartar/Hamburgers/Wine $$ • Joe Beef (2491 Rue Notre-Dame O) ~ Steak $$$ • Patati Patata Friterie De Luxe (4177 Boul St-Laurent) ~ Mini-burgers, crispy fries and beer $ • Léché Desserts (640 Rue de Courcelle) ~ Gourmet doughnuts (vegan options) $ Please see our digital "Guidebook" for a map of some local businesses. Access to our home from the West or the South is easiest via highway 720. If you are coming from the West (the airport), highway 20 becomes the 720 (Autoroute Ville-Marie). Driving to our home from the North, Boulevard Saint-Michel is usually the fastest. Note: It is unlawful to make a right-hand turn at a red light on the island of Montreal. Parking: There is plenty of street parking on our street (Wurtele). Watch for restricted parking directly in front of the house, which is PERMIT ONLY PARKING. Other than that small section, the entire LEFT side of the street (opposite from our house) is FREE PARKING, or on the right side, outside of the permit only section. Just be sure to read the parking signs, as is true for the entire city of Montreal! Vehicle Rental: It's a 2 minute walk to a local vehicle rental (Location Jean Légaré; 3035 Rue Hochelaga). UBER is definitely the most convenient way to get around when going out to a restaurant and getting home at the end of the night. Simply download the app and create an account. Metro: It's a 5 minute walk to metro Station Préfontaine. Station Prefontaine is on the green line which runs east towards the Olympic Stadium (direction Honoré-Beaugrand) and west to Montréal's downtown (direction Angrignon). Bike: Just up the hill from our home, rue Rachel bike path allows for quick access to Montréal's Plateau neighbourhood via Parc La Fontaine, universities downtown, this path can take you all the way to the base of Mont-Royale Mountain that you can bike or hike up for a great view of Montréal. Bixi bicycle rental is one block away (seasonal). Since the bicycle stands are moved periodically, go to Montréal's Bixi website and view the map to see bicycle stand locations and real-time bicycle availability. Don't forget your swimsuit! The backyard jacuzzi hot tub is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of wandering around the city. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow if you decide to use the spa: 1. GUESTS MUST SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE HOT TUB. Lotions, oils, hair products and soaps quickly pollute the water. Changing the water and cleaning the filter is a costly and time consuming chore, so please don't pollute the water. We change the water regularly and check it's condition after every guest, but please let us know if you have any questions. 2. We kindly ask that no glassware or breakables be used in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups or water bottles are fine. We do not want guests to injure themselves and future guests in any way! 3. Due to the hot tub's location underneath a staircase, we unfortunately do not have a cover lift system. Therefore removal of the hot tub cover requires a specific technique: • Facing the cement wall, lift and pull the cover towards you, away from the stairs. • Flip the left side of the cover over the right side, clearing the stairs, towards the shed. • Push the cover back towards the cement wall, flush with the tub. • You can enjoy the tub half-way open for a quick and easy soak, or you can slide the cover down to rest vertically in between the shed and the hot tub. • Replacing the cover may require a 2nd person to help lift the cover up from the side closest to the cement wall. It is easiest to lift the cover up and half-way back on while you are still standing in the hot tub. If you are unable to remove or replace the cover, please let us know right away, or if our upstairs neighbour is around, he would be happy to assist you. 4. Ensure the hot tub cover is completely closed around the entire tub after you are finished.read more

This was the first time for my husband and I using Airbnb and didn't quite know what to expect but it turned out to be an excellent choice. Christine was extremely helpful with tips and information about how to get there, where to park, what stores are close by and how to get around Montreal. The place had everything we needed and more, it felt like a home and not a hotel. Also, very close to the Metro station (40 mins walk to downtown was a great way to see he city also). Has wifi, washer and dryer and even laundry detergent, fully functional kitchen and even a hot tub (we were out too late to use it though). I'd definitely recommend staying there. Thanks Christine for making our first vacation together a really cool experience!

It was fabulous! Clean, quiet, fully stocked and...hot tub! Christine did everything possible to make the experience great (I'm sure Vincent had something to do with it, but she did all the writing to us as we never got to meet them). My partner and I took the blue room with the softer bed--it was a good space for two people. The smaller room's bed was kinda hard, but luckily our tallest member of the group liked it, and the third one was fine on the couch. The manual was very helpful, as were Christine's messages before & during our stay. Also, the location to the Metro was excellent. That system is so simple!

Christine and Vincent were wonderful hosts. Easy to reach for any questions, and gave great recommendations. Their place was very clean and homey, and the kitchen was well stocked for the nights we weren't out exploring and wanted to cook in. The location was great, short drive to downtown or a long walk which we enjoyed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to a friend.
