We had another wonderful stay at the cabin. It was so great last year we came back for another visit. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all, unplug from technology, read some books, and swim in a peaceful lake. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

We had an amazing time at the cottage. We traveled from Toronto which was an easy drive with even easier directions. The cottage featured everything listed in the description and more, making for a perfect getaway from the city. We enjoyed the bikes, the kayaks, the hiking, the swimming, the dock, the deck with fire pit, the BBQ, basically everything! There was plenty of hot water which made the jacuzzi tub an awesome option on a few rainy occasions. We were very well stocked with food and beverages, which we would strongly recommend to any potential cottagers. There is very little in the way of shops in the near area. We were looking for a more secluded cottage experience and this place really delivered. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fully modernized cottage on a quiet lake with great wilderness on your doorstep.

Great place to spend a week-end! Wendy was a great host to deal with and was always very attentive to our questions. There was lots of room for our party whether we were sitting back and watching a movie or cooking an sitting down to a meal. The view from the deck is outstanding and the cottage is very close to some prime fishing spots. We would definitely stay again!

We had five wonderful days at Wendy and Drew's vacation cabins. The weather was a little cloudy the first few days, but our last day was full of swimming and enjoying the water. It was a beautiful place and secluded as advertised. There were some other houses on the bay but the nights sitting by the fire were quiet and peaceful. We canoed and kayaked with the watercraft provided. The lake and cabin were a wonderful place to unplug from technology and relax. John and Mollie.

Wendy and Drew were amazing hosts, they were extremely communicative, they kept me up to date on any problems or news that may arise up to the day that we arrived at the cottage. There was only one slight communication problem, the Ad did not state that blankets were not included but since the problem was on their end, they fixed the problem in a timely fashion. We had sheets and comforters by the following morning, since we arrived late in the day. The cottage was amazing, the gift basket was well received and we utilized everything in it, thank you emensely. Kayaking, canoeing, swiming, and hiking in and around the cottage was spectacular and we had no reason to wander too far. The board games provided also lent to a few nights of entertainment and laughter around the kitchen table, drinking and catching up. The patio fire pit was also well used, and thanks again for the bug spray we put it to good use the local bug life is quite aggressive. We had no water one night due to the pump giving out, but that just gave us the opportunity to experience a taste of real camping since we had to bathe in the lake that night, an experience we joked about incesently, along with bringing up the buckets of water from the lake for the toilet. Drew had a new pump installed the following morning, thanks for the prompt service. All in all our stay was amazing, my friends and I will have many stories, pictures, and memories that include your cottage and all were positive. Thanks for taking good care of us and responding to our concerns so promptly and efficiently. Sebastian, Greg, and Doug

We absolutely loved our stay at Wendy's cottage on Lake Kipawa. Upon arriving to the cabin, we were greeted with a gift basket of assorted treats and thoughtful souvenirs for our trip. Wendy was very responsive to all of my inquiries and provided as much information as possible so that we could get the most out of our stay - she even provided an extra kayak to accommodate all of our guests. The cabin was charming and comfortable and the surrounding area was pristine and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone who would like to experience a peaceful getaway in Quebec.

What a great location and the cottage was fantastic. I love having the two bunkies. The host was amazing with no hassles what so ever. We even had to change the date at the last minute and she was very accommodating. We will be going back hopefully next year. If I had the balls to complain about one thing I guess it would be the water. It was a little muddy coming out of the tap but after you ran it a bit it was fine. If you like bass then the fishing was amazing. First night I had about 45 minutes in the kayak (provided) and pulled in the first dinner with four 3 lb. (aprox) bass.

Great location to stay in Montreal! A visited a friend's wedding and stayed for a week in Il Destino. It served really well. First of all, to be on the ground floor with the little harden in the back is a real plus. Upon arrival everything was tidy, clean and spotless. The bed slept great as well. There were plenty of towels to use and also some toiletry (like shower gel etc.) is provided. The hosts are very communicative and flexible, check-in and -out went very smooth. Definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Destino and in Montreal's Little Italy. We park the car when we get there - and either walk or take the Metro everywhere. The apartment is cozy and comfortable and feels like a home away from home to us. And Marisol and Beat are wonderful hosts!

Nice little place on the ground floor which makes a lot of sense while travelling with suitcases. This is my fourth flat in the same area and probably my best stay so far. Very convenient location and place with all what you need inside! Super happy to go home after a working day! I'll definitely try to book it for my next trip!

Marisol was really welcoming and left me a handwritten note with the keys because I was arriving late in the evening and needed some flexibility with my check in. I met her the second day of my stay and she was lovely. The space was simple, economical, and the location was very convenient for getting to the Beaubien metro and the Jean-Talon Market.

Marisol's place is great! It is exactly what i was looking for: clean, quiet, well-located, with easy access to public transport. The amenities are perfect, though i didn't make use of most of them. I didn't meet Marisol, but she made herself available for me, and i felt i could contact her easily, and she would do what she could to resolve any issues i might have. I highly recommend this place, and will certainly call on her again when i travel back to Montreal.

Marisol was very responsive to all my questions from the beginning of the process. She really does cater to families. We have a 20 month old, and she procured a travel crib and bedding for us. The apartment is literally across the street from a fantastic park and wading pool that we enjoyed every day during our visit. We were pleasantly surprised to find Montreal has so many nice playgrounds, pools, and splash pad, but to have one right across the street was special. The location near the subway and Jean-Talon Market is exceptional. We walked there in the mornings to get breakfast and groceries. The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need without having to deal with a lot of personal items. We'd love to come back for another visit next summer!

Marisol's place was very clean and cozy with everything we needed for our short stay in Montreal. The apartment is located in the Little Italy neighbourhood and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we were not travelling with children, I would also recommend this place for families, as it is located directly across the street from one park and a block away from another. Marisol's place is truly a gem - conveniently located, comfortable, and super clean!

I cannot wait to go back to Montreal and stay at Esther's place:)) This was the most charming little flat. Super modern and cozy. Just like the photos. We had everything we needed. Esther is such a lovely hostess. Perfect location; we were able to walk a short distance to the fun shops, restaurants and nightlife of Plateau-Mont Royal, as well as to downtown. I highly recommend staying here:)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Esther's place. The unit is half-underground, but wasn't uncomfortable / humid at all. It is beautifully decorated, practical and clean. It was the perfect place to stay, in close proximity to top night life and dining options in Montreal. Very quiet at night, as St-Denis is a few streets away. We would highly recommend Esther's property to any future visitors.

We had an amazing time during our stay in Montreal. The apartment for rent was better that we could have imagined, and was even better than the photos on the website. Esther was very accommodating and made us feel like she was there every step of the way without being overbearing. She answered every question that we had during our stay, and even got into my car with me while we searched the neighborhood for a parking space. There is plenty of parking, but you have to know where you are allowed to park, and she actually got in my car and drove with me, then walked me back to the apartment. We will DEFINITELY stay at Esther's place again as it was located just a short walk from the Metro as well as many fine places to eat and shop. What a great find!!

The apartment was exactly as described. Modern and unique, reminded me of a soho loft in NYC. It was in a perfect location walking distance to everything. It was clean and spacious. Four of us had a great weekend in Montreal. Just three nights for four close friends to stay in this apartment is ideal. Any longer could be pushing it as sleeping quarters are effectively shared. The home is smart, well equipped and in a great location close to the metro and within 5min walk of plenty of restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood is safe and welcoming. Parking was easy on the days we visited. Thank you Esther for the helpful tips before we arrived.

First and formost - rod was excellent. He met us the first day we arrived to give us some basic information about the area. And he was available all weekend if we needed anything (I.e. He even helped us search for free parking around the area). He provided a manual with information about the area, and simple instructions about the apartment itself. The place was great. Perfect for a large bachelor party group. Spacious, fun, and fairly close to many things. The TV, pool table, and ping pong table were great. The patio and grill were great. Only improvement I would make up there is that there was no lighting for after dark up there. Overall everyone loved the place. And we were extremely happy. Thanks for everything rod.

This is the perfect bachelor pad for you and the boys when visiting Montreal. The space is built for large groups looking to have a good time and enjoy what this great city has to offer. The neighborhood offers great bars and trendy restaurants that are some of the best in the city. 11 of us came up for my brother's bachelor party this past weekend, and it could not have gone better. Rod was very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. He made himself available to us from the moment we arrived until we left for the airport. Large groups who like to have fun, look no further.

Rod was a pleasure to deal with from the first inquiry about booking through the end of our stay. We booked the house for my friend's bachelor party, 10 guys in total. Everyone had a bed to sleep in with plenty of room to hang out. The pool table, ping pong table and projector were a huge hit. We even had a huge bbq one day on the roof deck. The house is great, but the location is even better. We were able to walk to Old Montreal to cool bars and restaurants and take a cab out to the clubs at night. Rod was super accommodating and very responsive, he got us an awesome deal at a club on Saturday night. Definitely a great choice for larger groups!

Will has a wonderful super clean apartment very close to the Berri-UQAM Metro stop. His apartment is less than a 10 meet walk from the Greyhound station. His apartment is located on the west end of the gay-village. Will was a very gracious host, we had breakfast one morning together and chatted several other times about different topics. The conversation I'll remember most the besides the 'large one' will be the what to do in Montreal if you here for one day... And we agreed one should take the Metro if only to see the rubber tires. I had a blast in Montreal and must thank Will for being such a great host. I have absolutely no complaints and really lucked out airbnbing in Will home during my stay. I would definitely rebook with Will again if his space is available.

Evgeny was an amazing host ! From check-in to checkout Evgeny was quick to respond to all questions and concerns. The house was impeccable and the location was great. All amenities were provided even freshly washed towels for us to use (left in the dryer for us). This house is amazing for large groups and I would definitely stay here again. I arrived a little late in the day, but Evgeny provided me with the code to the house so we could get in and unpack immediately. The house looks exactly like the pictures and has so many different things to entertain your guests like a pool table, foosball and a cute glass chess table. The house is about a 10-15 minute walk from a couple cute small bars and about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown, which made it super easy for us to go out at night. We had a great time in Montreal, and it started with this condo. Its in the heart of Old Montreal and in walking distance to many sights. Ratha was so responsive to all my questions and requests. They allowed us to drop off our many bags before check in on the day we got there and did give us a little extra time at check out as well. And we needed a travel crib...they had it waiting for us! The condo was very clean and very well appointed. There was plenty of high quality bedding and the beds were all comfortable. And plenty of towels as well! It was lovely! The only thing that was a surprise was that the first floor is not air conditioned and it got pretty hot the days we were there. They did have fans and they helped. The upstairs was cool and comfortable!

The bathrooms are clean and stocked with whatever you need including cute little guest baskets with bath products. The condo is decorated beautifully with a modern flare. The location is right in the center of Old Port and walking distance from Notre-Dame Basilica. We parked the car in a lot close by and walked all week. I have lived in Old Montreal for 30 years and am probably it s oldest resident in terms of years. I know the area like no one else. I am very happy to share my love for one of the oldest neighbourhoods in North America. I do travel often but am always available to direct you to interesting options to help you enjoy your vacation. One of the Oldest neighbourhoods in North America. Where Canadian Banking, Trading, Printing, Transportation, and Nation were conceived. Montreal was an American city for 7 months from November 1775 to May 1776 (the yankee occupation) when Benjamin Franklin concluded it would be easier to buy the province of Lower Canada than to conquer it. The Chateau Ramsey (1705) (around the corner and left on Notre Dame street) was home to the American parliament during the war for independence and briefly of American Generals Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold and American diplomat Benjamin Franklin, sent to convince the French Canadians to join the rebellion against England, during the brief Yankee occupation of Montreal during the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin set up the first printing press in Canada when he was here. Fleury Mesplet was sent here by Franklin to print pro revolutionary propaganda meant to convince francophones to join the cause of the United Colonies. He found lodging in a tavern and set up his printing press in a building on rue Capitale (a lane running from St-Sulpice to St-François-Xavier, South of St. Paul street, north of de la Commune street). There used to be a plaque in the lane that for some reason is no longer there! Fleury did not leave with the revolutionaries and ended up founding the Montreal Gazette, it is still printed today, pick one up. The old Montreal GAZETTE building on St Jaques street now a hotel. LaPresse still have their offices on the corner of St. Laurent and St Jacques street. Le Devoir started on St. Vincent street as did the first publishing houses in Canada. Old Montreal started as a religious mission and later a fur trading post. It was founded by the Sulpician order from France. They built a copy of Notre Dame Church in Paris on Notre Dame street. I have been to both and can tell you that our interior is much more impressive. Montreal was home to many Blacksmiths in the early days as to produce metal instruments to trade with the natives for fur. The furs were traded around present day Place Royale and the lanes to the east and west of the square. Samuel de Champlain founded Ville Marie in 1642 at Pointe De Caliere where a small stream met the river, today where Pointe a Callier museum sits. A statue to him sits in front of Notre Dame church on Place D Armes in the middle of a modern version of Place D Armes which used to be a Victorian Park. In front of Chateau Ramsey sits Montreal City hall (1872) a smaller version of Paris City hall and the first in Canada to be built solely for Municipal governance. In front of City Hall stands (Horatio) Nelson s Column(1809) on Place Jacques Cartier predates Nelson s column in trafalgar square In London England (1843). Across the street you will see bonsecours Market which was the parliament of Canada for a brief time. Also Notre Dame de Bonsecours Church founded by Marguerite Bourgeous. Walk out the door ,turn left and down the street from the apartment sits one of the founding fathers of Canada s residence. Sir George Etienne Cartier's residence in Montreal, at 458 Notre-Dame Street East, which is now the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site dedicated to his life and achievements. It also serves to recall the architectural heritage and lifestyles of the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal. He helped found Canada along with Sir John A. Mcdonald, The CP railroad, The civil code (still used today), Grand Trunk Railroad (Old Head Office on Mcgill street), and have British Columbia join confederation, Creating the Province of Manitoba, Negotiating the purchase of Rupert s land and The Northwest Territories. You are in his neighbourhood, along with Jacques Viger, Joseph Papineau, Renee Levesque, Pauline Marois, to name a few. Canada s wall street (St Jacques street formerly St James street) where all the first head offices of Canadian banks were opened. the first on Place D Armes the Bank of Montreal (1847) Pantheon like building. Open a bank account at this branch, the transit number is 0001 as it was the first bank in Canada! The birthplace of Canadian banking on 113 St. Paul street east, where you will find a plaque commemorating the site of the first Bank of Montreal and the birthplace of Canadian banking. Still with me? This is only minutes from the apartment...get the picture? Well Old Montreal today is a lot like Old Montreal of yesterday. Politics, cafes, culture, Social events and life. The Old Port hosts the Igloofest in February which is a four weekend Techno party outside in the winter weather with ten thousand Vintage ski suit clad partiers dancing to the finest techno on the planet. I know un imaginable you should see the look of disbelief on the artists faces when they see the scene before them. Montreal's Cirque du Soleil World Premieres all it s new shows in May every year here in the Old Port. We are home to the best nightclubs in the city along with lively bars and Parisian style outdoor cafe s and yes some tourist traps that are not so bad. We are home to some of the best chef s in the country concocting their wizardry in the most antique and unique of settings. There is an impressive list of Art galleries starting around the corner on Bonsecours street and rounding onto Rue St. Paul all the way to Mcgill street an impressive display of Art in the windows of these galleries as we walk along this Art gallery route. Old Montreal In very recent years it has been developed in some cases the right way in other cases for pure greed. It started to be torn down until Mayor Jean Drapeau ( there is a statue of him in a park in front of city hall) protected it. A fight that carries on today! Unfortunately over the years dull minded individuals have not respected it when trying to make a profit. Luckily much of it is intact and a well kept secret I would like to share with you. Stay away from the overpriced hotels here as their greed is destroying the first Cold Storage facility and super market in Montreal the Gunn Langlois dry goods and cold storage market between St. Vincent street and Place Jacques Cartier. Don t encourage them please, they are destroying my neighbourhood. A nine story blemish in our old neighborhood completely against the zoning laws, and our protected heritage. Other s like the Gault Hotel on ste Helene street which is housed in North America s first YMCA, did a commendable job of restoring a heritage building. Ste Helene street is the only street in Montreal to have gas lanterns of yesteryear a little known fact. I invite you to visit, daydream, fantasize about the past, live for the present in my neighbourhood which I dearly cherish. Stay in the shadow of the Angels guarding our port atop the Notre Dame de Bonsecours church sandwiched between art Galleries, Celebrity chef s, founders of nations, Parliaments of nations, on the step to the gateway to the New World! There is a bixi stand right near the flat where you can rent bicycles by the hour and drop them off in other parts of the city. We are right next to the bike path that connects the city and continues along the Old Port and Lachine Canal. There are a metro and bus stops close by. St. Paul street pedestrian walkway is 1 block from the apartment. Take a water taxi across the street in the Old Port to St Helen s Island. Great outdoor patio very rare in Old Montreal!read more

Nelson's apartment is a perfect spot to use as a base for exploring all that Montreal has to offer. You can't beat the location, right in the heart of the historic district & steps away from great food, cocktails, history, beautiful churches, the river promenade, shopping, and much more. The apartment itself is bright & inviting, and Nelson was a great communicator through the booking process, and his friend Steve was on-hand to let me into the apt and give me the lay of the land. Definitely looking forward to a return visit!

This charming apartment is in a wonderful location. We could walk to endless restaurants and cafes, as well as walk to convenient public transportation options. It is a very manageable walk from the convention center too. The apartment itself is loaded with charm and includes several extra touches like nespresso pods, snacks, and drinks in the fridge. The beds are comfy, and when it's cold, it's easy to adjust the temperature in the house with a variety of heaters. Nelson was extremely flexible regarding schedule and made a point to be helpful. He gave us local recommendations and invited us to contact him with any questions. I would, without a doubt, stay here again! It's truly the best way to experience Montreal!

The apartment was very charming with the the old stone walls and tall windows as pictured. The bedrooms were big and beds very comfortable. Nelson was very accommodating and thankfully was there cleaning when we arrived so that he could carry our luggage up the 25 steps to the 2nd floor. The neighborhood was fantastic as we were right in the middle of Old Montreal with dozens of shops and restaurants within just 2 or 3 blocks. Many museums and landmarks are within easy walking distance. When we arrived, Nelson provided maps and restaurant recommendations to help us out. We never saw him after that as we went out all day, though he said he stopped by. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat if I were to return to Montreal.

Nelson was a great host and the place exceeded all expectations. It was very spacious and came as advertised. The location was ideal as the old church was literally across the street. Nelson also provided tips on which restaurants / attractions to visit and which to avoid. Nelson is the man and I know who I'll be calling the next to I'm in Montreal!

We were welcomed to this lovely apartment by Steven. There was a little confusion upon check in but Nelson made it right very quickly. The apartment is EXACTLY as described and seen in the pictures - just perfect. We loved the location and the access to parking and all of the beauty and history that Old Montreal has to offer. While we had big plans to do a lot of sightseeing outside of Old Montreal - we never made it beyond the old city! We highly recommend this apartment and this host and this vacation destination! Thank you Nelson, for sharing your lovely home with us!

Rogers's condo was lovely. Very clean, open concept, no clutter. So much better than a box hotel. Neighbourhood was colourful & close enough to a metro station. We also had a mishap with a misplaced key, but Roger was very helpful & prompt & most memorably, concerned for our safety. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Our flight arrived after midnight and our host was great about accommodating our extremely late check-in. She was available for all questions and provided detailed instructions. Parking is provided; However, it is very narrow and if you rent a car make sure its a small one but after awhile parking gets easier. Once in the garage you have 2 options 1 door is a staircase the other you will find a lift to the apartment. Once we arrived to the apartment it was spacious and very clean. The bedroom and wash room were stocked with fresh linens. The kitchen had all basic essentials such as general appliances, plates, silverware etc... The host also provided beverages, bagels and breakfast muffins as a welcome gift. The apartment is conveniently located near markets, shops, restaurants or just nightlife. Overall experience was fantastic!

Karim and Svetlana were nothing less but great host ! Everything was ready in the appartement when we came, towels, utensils etc. they even left two umbrellas for use in case of rain. We really appreciated the extra attention. The appartement was clean and tidy. The appartement description was completely accurate. A nice one bedroom apartment downtown Montreal and close to everything ! Saint-Cathrine street, Maisonneuve and major metro station. The neighbourhood itself was very multicultural which was nice. But also calm and secure. Karim and Svetlana maintain communication throughout the whole trip making sure to always make us feel welcome and ready in case we needed anything. Overall, for a first time using Airbnb I am nothing less than completely satisfy with my experience and highly recommend there place for anybody visiting Montreal for a few day. I’m sure with these two, you won’t have any unpleasant surprise and you’ll always have somebody to help you in case you need anything. Once again, great experience and thanks a lot !

Svetlana and Karim's place is nice and clean. It has all the amenities as described. It is near many restaurants, a grocery store, and a metro station. They are very receptive hosts who are easy to get in touch with. The only tricky part was finding the underground parking garage behind the building if you are bringing a car. It is accessible via an alley way to the right of the building. This is a place I would recommend to my friends and family.

We had an amazing time in Montreal this past weekend. A group of ladies all went down for a bachelorette party. The house was just as shown on the listing and Diane was such a pleasure to work with. She was professional and very kind. Our flight didn't leave until late Sunday night so she allowed us to leave our baggage behind so we didn't have to lug it around the city with us. The location is absolutely perfect! There are so many little restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, an SAQ (similar to a LCBO) all within a 5 minute walk if not less. Downtown Montreal was a mere 20 minute walk and with such fabulous weather we walked EVERYWHERE! The festivals were in full effect so we were able to roam around and enjoy those too. When coming back to visit, I would not hesitate to contact Diane again. Merci beaucoups Diane, we had such a great time!

Jing's apartment is modern, quiet, nicely furnished, and in a great location for exploring Montreal. We were a party of four adults - one couple and two singles - and the space worked well for us. First night we arrived in Montreal we had our reservation wrong and arrived a day earlier than expected. Kim, who was in New York that day, helped me find a hotel nearby and even checked up on us that same night. Kim and Will were great hosts. Cool and very easy to get along with. Though both were home usually in the evening, they were very open to feedback and answering any questions we had. Their 2 Miniature poodles made our stay even more enjoyable and were also very people friendly. Listing is exactly as is. Place is great, very clean and neat. Maps and essentials were in the room which was great and very kind of them to have been there. Loft was in a great neighbourhood where everything was accessible. Grocery store was literally across the street along with many cool retail shops and great eats nearby. The metro was 5 minutes away and Downtown was an easy walking distance as well. Thanks Kim and Will for making our stay in Montreal easy and enjoyable!

Staying with Kim and Will was a pleasant experience. The apartment was conveniently located, easy to find, and close to the metro. Kim and Will were able to point out some really nice restaurants in the local neighbourhood. Their 2 dogs were really enjoyable to play with after long day of exploring Montreal. Would recommend to others.

Kim and Will were wonderful host. We traveled during the week so they were busy with work, but hanging with their cute dogs in the morning was fun before our days began. The apartment is beautifully decorated and cozy. We love new foods and drinks, and they live in the perfect area to experience that!

Love this place. Great location, close to both orange and green subway lines, and the bus is just across street. The apartment is nice and bright, and the room is cozy and clean as well. Kim and Will were very easygoing and caring. The girls (two teddy dogs) were so cute and playful.

This was our first AirBnB experience and it was awesome! Kim and Will were fantastic hosts! A week or so before our trip I messaged Kim and Will asking about hotel recommendations and reservations for our anniversary dinner and they were extremely helpful! We ended up choosing Le Local, which had an amazing wine menu and fantastic steak. We arrived in the early afternoon and Kim was able to direct us to a couple of great cafes in the neighbourhood. Both Kim and Will were friendly, communicative and engaging! The loft is so beautiful and a short walk away from the metro. The area is fantastic with several great cafes and restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend staying at Kim and Will's if you are planning a trip to Montreal. You won't be disappointed!!

Welcoming people, adorable dogs, and a beautiful apartment.. What more could you ask for?!? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and truly felt like Kim and Will were our friends and not simply our hosts. Kim's lovely mother let us into the apartment and welcomed us with open arms, we loved chatting with her. Rosie and Billie Jean were the stars of the show and friendliest pups in Montreal. We especially appreciated Kim's recommendations on cool places to visit in Montreal (especially the food and drink tips). Definitely take her advice if you are searching for local hot spots! The room was comfortable, hip, well decorated, and quiet. The apartment is located in an up and coming neighborhood which is full of trendy places to hang out (including the Atwater Market, multiple cafes, the Lachine Canal, and a fun beer terrace - try the Cidre Rose!) The metro is 5 minutes from the apartment and an easy direct ride to the city's tourist attractions.

The place was exactly as described and was very clean. We had four people sleep comfortably. Two bathrooms really helped us get ready quickly in the morning and head out to visit Montreal. The stay was great, fresh towels, clean kitchen \ bathrooms, large open space to eat and rest between trips. Jing's handler came running to give us our keys when we arrived. Jing was also very responsive via text message. Location was amazing for us as we had friends staying in the hotel that was adjacent to the condo. It made coordinating with them very easy. The location was great, tons of cabs out front of the hotel which is a two minute walk. There was also an amazing pub called La Belle & Le Beouf within walking distance where the music, food and people were amazing. I would stay here again. Thanks so much Jing!

Great home! Unique, bright, modern, clean and in a perfect location! In the heart of Old Montreal. Half a block from Notre Dame basilica so you can hear the bells (but not so loudly that it's annoying). About a 3 1/2 block walk to the Place D'Arms Metro stop, so it's easy to get anywhere in the city quickly. Also close to Rue Saint Paul street shops and restaurants. Alex's photos are exactly as the flat is - beautiful, bright, modern and one-of-kind. Alex communicated with me ahead of time with all the necessary details. He checked in to make sure everything was going well. Superb all around. No need to bring tourist guides as there were a few laying around the flat in among the many other books.

Alex's apartment was fantastic - the perfect base for exploring Old Montreal and Chinatown. It's incredibly convenient to walk almost everywhere, which we did. Lots of open space and nice light. We'd love to stay again! As others have noted, pack light for haul up the stairs (which isn't that bad), and there is quite a bit of light that comes early in the morning if you're sensitive about that sort of thing. Otherwise, it made for a great weekend getaway.
Samuel

Extremely friendly and considerate hosts. The flat is as advertised- very nicely designed and full of amenities like A/C, video projector, loaded kitchen supplies. The location may be a bit too touristic for some, but the nearby metro line can quickly bring you to the Plateau, Mile End areas.

After my original host canceled my reservation the day before I was to be in Montreal on the Canada day long weekend for a wedding, I was frantically trying to find another place for me, my husband and 6 week old daughter. Ana responded quickly to my inquiry and all other questions before and during our stay. she was very flexible with check in and out times. The loft was exactly as advertised and spotless, quiet, comfortable and extremely convenient. What a unique space and a great stay!

This was our first Airbnb experience, and I'm glad Alex was the one to usher us into this world. The Skylit Loft in Old Montreal was the perfect place to stay for so many reasons: 1. The loft is very cool, stylish and has personality unlike any hotel. 2. The location is perfect. While it is located in the midst of so much it is very quietly situated at the back of the building, away from the hustle and bustle waiting for you outside the front door. 3. Alex made it so easy to arrange to stay at the loft and a personal note was waiting for us to make start our feeling right at home. The only drawback, and Alex was clear about this, is that it is a walk up to the loft. As he clearly told us, "Pack light." I'm so glad he did. The great news about the walk up is that you will get exercise that enables you to increase your intake of all the delicious food Montreal has to offer. On that note, I would recommend that you get supplies for the kitchen (coffee, water, juice, snacks etc.) prior to your first trip up. Once you get up the stairs and into the loft, you won't want to run right back out. You'll want to relax, hang and enjoy it. So, plan ahead.

Ana's place was amazing! Spacious loft, high ceilings, and overall great character. The location is very convenient and close to the pier, subway, parking, grocery store and SAQ. Not booking a generic hotel room really made the difference of making an extensive stay feel as comfortable as possible. Ana was an awesome host as well. Two thumbs way up!

This is a terrific apartment in a fantastic location. We stayed with our 2 year old and the backyard was a real plus. Eva and Alex are communicative and gracious hosts. Eva and Alex were extremely helpful from our first inquiry. Once we had been approved, they made sure we had enough bedding for all of us, and also provided towels and shower supplies. It was an added bonus that the kitchen came fully equipped with plates, pots, utensils, etc, so we could make ourselves a nice dinner. The apartment itself is in a great spot, a little outside of downtown, but easily accessible by metro or car. The apartment was also clean, bright, and beautiful. It is smaller than the pictures make it seem, but that is not an issue for us. All in all, it was a wonderful experience!

The place is beautiful. Its clean, well designed and curated and is so close to a main street! The neighborhood is one of the trendiest places in Montreal. Just remember that if there are more than two beds needed, you lose a living room. We spent most of our time at the dining table. The table is narrow and cool looking but be aware if you sit at the edge of the communal bench, it may have a see saw effect and you could fall. It was quiet and pleasant to stay in. The beds were so comfortable. The blinds in the front room didn't fully cover the window, so when people walked by, we felt as if they could see us (Im sure no one was looking). Besides missing a spatula, everything was great!

This apartment was a great base for my friend and I to explore Montreal. We came with each of our babies and Eva and Alex provided a travel crib and bedding which meant we could travel with a lot less gear. They also told us where great parks were for little ones, which helped us get started. Best of all, the two bedrooms were on opposite sides of the apartment so our babies didn't wake each other up! The kitchen/living area was cheerful and easy to use. The back garden was a perfect toddler running ground. We were especially happy to have access to the washing machine and drying line. I'd recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Montreal!

Wonderful people! Ludovic came to get me at the station even late at night, and it was only a few minutes walk to their place in a nice new building. The room was clean, roomy, well-decorated and perfect for me, with a nice bed for sleeping, and it's nice to have a private back entrance also. It's very close to Jarry Parc and the train station. I only heard the trains passing a couple of times, and it didn't wake me up or bother me at all. It's also close to good bus and subway connections to downtown Montreal. Ludovic's home=made bread should be famous in a city known for good bread. Everything was great, and I only wish I had more time to spend with these wonderful people.

Ludovic and Sylvie are such a wonderful couple! We were very lucky to stay with them. From the very first moment they made us feel welcome. The room is exactly as they described it. They made sure to give us all that we need to make our stay comfortable. They took the time to print information with the wifi password, indication of bus numbers, taxi phone numbers, a map of near by stores, etc They gave us a map of the city and they sat next to us to explain us how to get to different parts of the city. Next day they went out with us to show us around. We had a blast with them! It was a great experience! Don't miss the opportunity to host them or stay in their place, you will have a great time for sure =)

Ludovic and Sylvie were really nice host and the place is awesome like in the picture if it is not more! Easy communication with Ludovic to prepare arrival. He was here upon arrival and gave us information and advices on place where to go in Montreal. Place close to the subway and really safe area of Montreal. I definitively recommend this place. On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal (Parking included). This is it ! In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.) The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type). You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques. There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts. The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min). Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away… Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed) Free reserved parking till June 30 2017. Very vibrant If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.read more

Fabulous as always! We love staying at Joseph's whenever my husband and I are in Montreal. We love his apartment: it's clean, it's close to transit and great restaurants, and Joseph is a great communicator both before and during the stay. We definitely recommend Joseph's apartment for your stay in Montreal!

The listing was very accurate for this place. Joseph made us feel very welcome, and had left folders with suggestions of places to eat and drink in the area. The place was very clean, tidy and warm. There was even a great little espresso machine! Joseph was very kind when we messed up our booking and thought we were leaving a day late, making him late for his next booking. We're so sorry about that!

Joseph was an outstanding host - he welcomed us into his lovely apartment, gave us lots of good information about local restaurants, and even baked us a pie for Victoria Day! The apartment is perfect - everything you might need - a wonderful espresso maker - very quiet, but near everything. I give Joseph my highest recommendation!

Francois has a stunning loft which was even better than the photos. The style, furnishings, openness, and space are beautifully designed. The high ceilings and 15 foot arched windows made this place airy, light, and kind of majestic. The location could not have been better as it is right at Old Montreal with all of its cafes, restaurants, plazas, people, and the Notre Dame Basicila, We wanted to live here! All of Francois's information was clear, detailed, and accurate. The loft has a complete and open kitchen and dining space. We did not want to leave and hope to return. Thanks, Francois.

What a beautiful place!! Francois was great to have as a host- very quick to respond to any questions! High windows with tons of light, great location for going pretty much anywhere in Montreal, and huge kitchen with all amenities (little store across the street with basic grocery and beer/wine was great too!). The large bathtub was definitely a plus for a total relaxing getaway :) quiet building and very comfy bed- absolutely would stay here again!

A great spot to be if you want to explore old Montreal. We came on a Wednesday night before fireworks so parking was tricky but Francois gave us tips where to find parking that were very helpful. Parking was easier the next night.

Great location! Walking distance to everything. There was a lot of constructions in the surroundings, but Francois' loft was comfortable, soundproof, and very quiet. I would go back anytime!

The loft is beautiful and in a great location in downtown old Montreal - the photos are exactly as the loft is. There is a full kitchen if you are inclined to cook and a nice bathroom with laundry as well.

Great place, terrific location. Well furnished, very clean. We loved the placed. It is in walking distance of Cathedral of Notre Dame, and Old Montreal and Old Port. Lots of restaurants close by. Cooked a couple of meals at the loft Parking is a bit of an issue. I parked on the apartment side of the street during the day and until 7:00 a.m. each morning. then moved to the other side of the street from 7 to 8, then back. Kind of a hassle, but free!!!
