We absolutely loved our stay at Wendy's cottage on Lake Kipawa. Upon arriving to the cabin, we were greeted with a gift basket of assorted treats and thoughtful souvenirs for our trip. Wendy was very responsive to all of my inquiries and provided as much information as possible so that we could get the most out of our stay - she even provided an extra kayak to accommodate all of our guests. The cabin was charming and comfortable and the surrounding area was pristine and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone who would like to experience a peaceful getaway in Quebec.

We had five wonderful days at Wendy and Drew's vacation cabins. The weather was a little cloudy the first few days, but our last day was full of swimming and enjoying the water. It was a beautiful place and secluded as advertised. There were some other houses on the bay but the nights sitting by the fire were quiet and peaceful. We canoed and kayaked with the watercraft provided. The lake and cabin were a wonderful place to unplug from technology and relax. John and Mollie.

Great place to spend a week-end! Wendy was a great host to deal with and was always very attentive to our questions. There was lots of room for our party whether we were sitting back and watching a movie or cooking an sitting down to a meal. The view from the deck is outstanding and the cottage is very close to some prime fishing spots. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing time at the cottage. We traveled from Toronto which was an easy drive with even easier directions. The cottage featured everything listed in the description and more, making for a perfect getaway from the city. We enjoyed the bikes, the kayaks, the hiking, the swimming, the dock, the deck with fire pit, the BBQ, basically everything! There was plenty of hot water which made the jacuzzi tub an awesome option on a few rainy occasions. We were very well stocked with food and beverages, which we would strongly recommend to any potential cottagers. There is very little in the way of shops in the near area. We were looking for a more secluded cottage experience and this place really delivered. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fully modernized cottage on a quiet lake with great wilderness on your doorstep.

We had another wonderful stay at the cabin. It was so great last year we came back for another visit. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all, unplug from technology, read some books, and swim in a peaceful lake. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat.

Wendy did a magnificent job communicating with my wife and me. She answered our questions quickly and honestly every time we asked something of her. The cabins were as described and the location was beautiful. Your outdoor deck that connected the cabins was spectacular space for outdoor time both day and night, and the dock was wonderful for sunbathing during the magnificent weather we enjoyed. It made for a super spot for jumping into the cool depths of the lake beyond! Watching and listening to the kingfishers, gray jays and warblers was incredible. The lake was wonderful for swimming, kayaking and canoeing, though you do have neighbors in the Baie Dorval who should be more polite when moving through such a bay. FIshing in a lake like Kipawa was an experience that taught me much. Drew's map was a blessing and very helpful. If only my boat motor would not have failed on me at the end of week one! We were fortunate to get to stay in such a wonderful place as your cabins, and were grateful for Wendy's responsiveness and information. Many blessings to you and your family as you enjoy this location for years to come. We will always think fondly on our time at Lac Kipawa and in the Baie Dorval!

Marisol was really welcoming and left me a handwritten note with the keys because I was arriving late in the evening and needed some flexibility with my check in. I met her the second day of my stay and she was lovely. The space was simple, economical, and the location was very convenient for getting to the Beaubien metro and the Jean-Talon Market.

Nice little place on the ground floor which makes a lot of sense while travelling with suitcases. This is my fourth flat in the same area and probably my best stay so far. Very convenient location and place with all what you need inside! Super happy to go home after a working day! I'll definitely try to book it for my next trip!

Marisol's place was very clean and cozy with everything we needed for our short stay in Montreal. The apartment is located in the Little Italy neighbourhood and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we were not travelling with children, I would also recommend this place for families, as it is located directly across the street from one park and a block away from another. Marisol's place is truly a gem - conveniently located, comfortable, and super clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Destino and in Montreal's Little Italy. We park the car when we get there - and either walk or take the Metro everywhere. The apartment is cozy and comfortable and feels like a home away from home to us. And Marisol and Beat are wonderful hosts!

Marisol's apartment in Little Italy was perfect for what I needed. It is in a quiet, safe part of Montreal, within walking distance of Jean Talon market and the Mile End. It was very clean and had all the basics, including an adorable garden out back. Unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to chat too much because she was out of town when I arrived, but she was very helpful and introduced herself once she was back in town. As someone with friends and family in Montreal, I will definitely consider staying at Il Destino again.

Esther is so lovely and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is amazing and located in our favorite area of Montreal. My finance and I could not have been more pleased with Esther's place. I hesitate to write a good review, because I want the place to be available whenever we go up to Montreal. But, the apartment deserves a GLOWING review. So much bang for your buck- what a fair price for such a great listing. Esther gave us all the information that we needed to easily check into the apartment - the decor is just... stunning. The bathroom is ridiculous, there's a kitchen and the most comfortable bed ever, a private entrance, access to a garden out back. The neighborhood was incredible. We walked down to Old Montreal, but it's also super close to the Metro and within easy walking distance of some of the best restaurants we've ever been to. We had an incredible long weekend and have Esther to thank!! Looking forward to going back up, soon.

This place is a PERFECT spot for a boys weekend to Montreal. Location is great, place is great, amenities are great. So much better to all stay in one group than separate hotel rooms. The place is as good as the pictures make it out to be (except patio is larger than I thought). With good weather - the patio is a huge asset and was where we spent a lot of time having some bbq & pre-game activities. We took advantage of his pre-arrival grocery run pickup for a fee which worked out really well. Rod stopped by a couple times and was extremely helpful with all of my questions.

First and formost - rod was excellent. He met us the first day we arrived to give us some basic information about the area. And he was available all weekend if we needed anything (I.e. He even helped us search for free parking around the area). He provided a manual with information about the area, and simple instructions about the apartment itself. The place was great. Perfect for a large bachelor party group. Spacious, fun, and fairly close to many things. The TV, pool table, and ping pong table were great. The patio and grill were great. Only improvement I would make up there is that there was no lighting for after dark up there. Overall everyone loved the place. And we were extremely happy. Thanks for everything rod.

Thanks again Rod!!

We went to Montreal for a bachelor party and this place was perfect! First, Rod was very responsive and flexible. He allowed us to check in early and was easy to reach. Second, the house looked exactly how it was in the pictures. It easily accommodated our large group. Finally, the neighborhood is great. The grocery store, a convenience store, and ATMs are a short walk away. The metro was about a 15 minute walk away too. And there are several bars right around the corner. We had a great time in this place and highly recommend it.

Wills place was amazing. It's cozy, amazing atmosphere and Will provides an amazing experience. He was the first airbnb host I ever had that provided things like mouthwash toothpaste and shampoo. The tub is also top notch. To add to that list Will also answered my texts about where to go for dinner and I told him where I was in Montreal and he just started listing places off. 10/10 experience.

Me and my friend stayed at Will’s lovely condo for one night and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The place was modern, super clean and in the great location. Will prepared a set of fresh towels for us and a mini kit with soap, shampoos, tooth paste, mouth wash, gum, etc. The bed sheets were crispy clean and the bed was very comfortable as well. Even though the condo is located in the heart of Montreal, the street itself is quite and the room was facing a cute courtyard. Me and my friend had a great sleep and were never disturbed by any noise. Will was very friendly, hospitable and flexible on check-in and check-out time. I would not think twice about staying at his place again. Thank you very much for hosting us!

Will was there waiting for us to arrive even though our train was late. He was a very gracious host, showed us around etc. his place is as described and spotlessly clean. There is a washer and dryer to use which was very nice as we had laundry to do. The location is excellent, only 1/2 block from the main Metro station so very easy to go any place. He gave us direction when we needed it to go anyplace. The bedroom is a very good size and a huge closet for our suitcases and clothes. Also he was usually in his bedroom leaving his whole place for us to use. There is a small balcony overlooking a courtyard which we used every day. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Great place!!

Absolutely the best. You will not regret your stay here. He is located in a somewhat central location and you can walk everywhere. Will's place is absolutely spotless and he is always available. He leaves you with food (breakfast stuff) and a care package including - toothpaste and soap (in case you forget). Will stayed at his boyfriend's house so I had the ENTIRE apartment to myself. He thought of everything - I didn't bring a warm jacket and he had an extra one for me to borrow! I will be back! I love Will and Montreal. The only downside is he is located near a shelter and you see a lot of homeless men walking around. They asked me for money but that's it. I was not afraid. (I traveled to Montreal alone, knew no one and still had the best time).

We loved our stay at Wills. He greeted us at check in and gave us information about the apartment and the city. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious. Will wasn't in the for the duration of our 4 night stay which meant we had the whole apartment to ourselves! Will was kind enough to let us use the laundry facilities and also provided toiletries for our stay. We 100% recommend staying here and the location is the best!!

We chose to stay with Evgeny due to the location and the amenities of the house suited our needs perfectly. Evgeny is a great host and has an amazing house. Just being there felt like home, making you want to take care of it as your own. Everything in the house helped us with our 3 night stay. The neighbors were very kind people as well. We had rental cars so getting around wasn't a problem, but taking an Uber to Saint Lawrence or Old Montréal was very reasonable. I would recommend staying with Evgeny to anyone going to Montréal and if I find myself back in Montréal, this is where I will stay.

Ratha and Kelly took the time to explain where everything in the house was as well as show us what was available to use. It was very tidy and had a lot of the amenities that we needed that helped make our stay very relaxing. The condo is a short drive from downtown, the port, and the beautiful Parc Fontaine. Having access to the building's underground parking was extremely convenient and we didn't have the stress of having to find a parking spot in the street. Roger was such a gracious host. Montreal was an American city for 7 months from November 1775 to May 1776 (the yankee occupation) when Benjamin Franklin concluded it would be easier to buy the province of Lower Canada than to conquer it. The Chateau Ramsey (1705) (around the corner and left on Notre Dame street) was home to the American parliament during the war for independence and briefly of American Generals Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold and American diplomat Benjamin Franklin, sent to convince the French Canadians to join the rebellion against England, during the brief Yankee occupation of Montreal during the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin set up the first printing press in Canada when he was here. Fleury Mesplet was sent here by Franklin to print pro revolutionary propaganda meant to convince francophones to join the cause of the United Colonies. He found lodging in a tavern and set up his printing press in a building on rue Capitale (a lane running from St-Sulpice to St-François-Xavier, South of St. Paul street, north of de la Commune street). There used to be a plaque in the lane that for some reason is no longer there! Fleury did not leave with the revolutionaries and ended up founding the Montreal Gazette, it is still printed today, pick one up. The old Montreal GAZETTE building on St Jaques street now a hotel. LaPresse still have their offices on the corner of St. Laurent and St Jacques street. Le Devoir started on St. Vincent street as did the first publishing houses in Canada. Old Montreal started as a religious mission and later a fur trading post. It was founded by the Sulpician order from France. They built a copy of Notre Dame Church in Paris on Notre Dame street. I have been to both and can tell you that our interior is much more impressive. Montreal was home to many Blacksmiths in the early days as to produce metal instruments to trade with the natives for fur. The furs were traded around present day Place Royale and the lanes to the east and west of the square. Samuel de Champlain founded Ville Marie in 1642 at Pointe De Caliere where a small stream met the river, today where Pointe a Callier museum sits. A statue to him sits in front of Notre Dame church on Place D Armes in the middle of a modern version of Place D Armes which used to be a Victorian Park. In front of Chateau Ramsey sits Montreal City hall (1872) a smaller version of Paris City hall and the first in Canada to be built solely for Municipal governance. In front of City Hall stands (Horatio) Nelson s Column(1809) on Place Jacques Cartier predates Nelson s column in trafalgar square In London England (1843). Across the street you will see bonsecours Market which was the parliament of Canada for a brief time. Also Notre Dame de Bonsecours Church founded by Marguerite Bourgeous. Walk out the door ,turn left and down the street from the apartment sits one of the founding fathers of Canada s residence. Sir George Etienne Cartier's residence in Montreal, at 458 Notre-Dame Street East, which is now the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site dedicated to his life and achievements. It also serves to recall the architectural heritage and lifestyles of the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal. He helped found Canada along with Sir John A. Mcdonald, The CP railroad, The civil code (still used today), Grand Trunk Railroad (Old Head Office on Mcgill street), and have British Columbia join confederation, Creating the Province of Manitoba, Negotiating the purchase of Rupert s land and The Northwest Territories. You are in his neighbourhood, along with Jacques Viger, Joseph Papineau, Renee Levesque, Pauline Marois, to name a few. Canada s wall street (St Jacques street formerly St James street) where all the first head offices of Canadian banks were opened. the first on Place D Armes the Bank of Montreal (1847) Pantheon like building. Open a bank account at this branch, the transit number is 0001 as it was the first bank in Canada! The birthplace of Canadian banking on 113 St. Paul street east, where you will find a plaque commemorating the site of the first Bank of Montreal and the birthplace of Canadian banking. Still with me? This is only minutes from the apartment...get the picture? Well Old Montreal today is a lot like Old Montreal of yesterday. Politics, cafes, culture, Social events and life. The Old Port hosts the Igloofest in February which is a four weekend Techno party outside in the winter weather with ten thousand Vintage ski suit clad partiers dancing to the finest techno on the planet. I know un imaginable you should see the look of disbelief on the artists faces when they see the scene before them. Montreal's Cirque du Soleil World Premieres all it s new shows in May every year here in the Old Port. We are home to the best nightclubs in the city along with lively bars and Parisian style outdoor cafe s and yes some tourist traps that are not so bad. We are home to some of the best chef s in the country concocting their wizardry in the most antique and unique of settings. There is an impressive list of Art galleries starting around the corner on Bonsecours street and rounding onto Rue St. Paul all the way to Mcgill street an impressive display of Art in the windows of these galleries as we walk along this Art gallery route. Old Montreal In very recent years it has been developed in some cases the right way in other cases for pure greed. It started to be torn down until Mayor Jean Drapeau ( there is a statue of him in a park in front of city hall) protected it. A fight that carries on today! Unfortunately over the years dull minded individuals have not respected it when trying to make a profit. Luckily much of it is intact and a well kept secret I would like to share with you. Stay away from the overpriced hotels here as their greed is destroying the first Cold Storage facility and super market in Montreal the Gunn Langlois dry goods and cold storage market between St. Vincent street and Place Jacques Cartier. Don t encourage them please, they are destroying my neighbourhood. A nine story blemish in our old neighborhood completely against the zoning laws, and our protected heritage. Other s like the Gault Hotel on ste Helene street which is housed in North America s first YMCA, did a commendable job of restoring a heritage building. Ste Helene street is the only street in Montreal to have gas lanterns of yesteryear a little known fact. I invite you to visit, daydream, fantasize about the past, live for the present in my neighbourhood which I dearly cherish. Stay in the shadow of the Angels guarding our port atop the Notre Dame de Bonsecours church sandwiched between art Galleries, Celebrity chef s, founders of nations, Parliaments of nations, on the step to the gateway to the New World! There is a bixi stand right near the flat where you can rent bicycles by the hour and drop them off in other parts of the city. We are right next to the bike path that connects the city and continues along the Old Port and Lachine Canal. There are a metro and bus stops close by. St. Paul street pedestrian walkway is 1 block from the apartment. Take a water taxi across the street in the Old Port to St Helen s Island. Great outdoor patio very rare in Old Montreal!read more

Nelson put together a very thorough and accurate description of the apartment -- and it is amazing! The location is phenomenal, and the first night I stood in front of the window, looking over the church and the angel behind it, with the moon rising -- I was smitten. We were very grateful that he offered lots of information about Old Montreal, and what to expect with the apartment and the surrounding area. His love for the area permeates his descriptions, and we were able to hit the ground running as a result of his efforts. He met us at the apartment and he made us feel very welcome, and after that, we had 4 days of a home away from home, albeit set in the most scenic and romantic location I can imagine. Our time there was magical, and the apartment was a huge part of this -- it was exactly want I wanted for my two children's first trip to Canada. I would love to return to this apartment, and I would recommend it whole heartedly, for a family or for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nelson, so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apartment was spacious and clean, a great place to relax after a long day. Bed in main bedroom was so comfortable, shower was great, every room was bright and airy. The apartment looked exactly like the pictures with additional features. It was very clean, as well. Jing's instructions were very detailed, which made it very easy to access the building and keys. We were about a ten minute drive from most of the places we were visiting such as Old Montreal. Jing was very responsive and helpful.

Jing is so easy to contact and always available if you need anything. The apartment is beautiful, modern, clean with great views over Montreal and in a fantastic location. You are within walking distance of so much and also only about a 5 min walk from the metro. Jing sends you great information before you arrive to help locate the building & enter. Our stay was fantastic and if we ever visit Montreal again we will definitely stay here! Thank you so much Jing!

What an amazing condo! Perfect little spot for one or two people. Tastefully decorated - clean - and all the amenities of home. Not to mention its walking distance from anything you could possibly want or need to do downtown. Minutes from the bell center and at Catherine street, with a dep & saq just a block away. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to explore the downtown area. Jing was the perfect host and made the traveling/parking/getting in as simple as could be. Thanks Jing !!

The apartment was clean, comfortable and beautifully styled. Stunning sunrise and sunset views. Approximately 18 minutes walk to central station. We walked all around the old town and Mount Royal from the Airbnb. Great price, would definitely recommend.

The apartment is well done up, very clean, has great views, and has everything you need. It was easy to communicate with Jing and she provided the details for a smooth check-in a few days before our stay. The apartment is located near a metro stop, and fairly close to Musee des Beaux Arts and one of the main shopping streets of Montreal (Rue St Catherine), which has many great restaurants, mostly Asian. For tourists planning to stay here, the old part of Montreal is not within walking distance, although it's not far by taxi or metro. The apartment has air-conditioning, but it wasn't able to fully cool down the apartment on the days we were there when it was around 26 degrees Celsius (85 F). This obviously isn't a problem when staying here during fall, winter or spring. With the apartment facing east and with light curtains the apartment is not conducive to sleep in or for an afternoon nap.

We had a wonderful stay! The apt is perfect! It's so clean and well decorated! The only thing I would suggest is to get a better AC method and maybe some more tv channels. We stayed in August and it was quite hot at times in the apt and it wasn't comfortable at times. We were also rained our one day and it would have been nice to watch some TV on the nice TV :). Everything else is wonderful. The shower is amazing and the kitchen is great if you wish to cook! The bed is comfortable as well. Parking is also available which makes life a lot easier (you have to pay of course). Jing was also available if we needed something and we really appreciated that. THANK YOU SO MUCH JING!

Our flight arrived after midnight and our host was great about accommodating our extremely late check-in. She was available for all questions and provided detailed instructions. Parking is provided; However, it is very narrow and if you rent a car make sure its a small one but after awhile parking gets easier. Once in the garage you have 2 options 1 door is a staircase the other you will find a lift to the apartment. Once we arrived to the apartment it was spacious and very clean. The bedroom and wash room were stocked with fresh linens. The kitchen had all basic essentials such as general appliances, plates, silverware etc... The host also provided beverages, bagels and breakfast muffins as a welcome gift. The apartment is conveniently located near markets, shops, restaurants or just nightlife. Overall experience was fantastic!

Karim and Svetlana were nothing less but great host ! Everything was ready in the appartement when we came, towels, utensils etc. they even left two umbrellas for use in case of rain. We really appreciated the extra attention. The appartement was clean and tidy. The appartement description was completely accurate. A nice one bedroom apartment downtown Montreal and close to everything ! Saint-Cathrine street, Maisonneuve and major metro station. The neighbourhood itself was very multicultural which was nice. But also calm and secure. Karim and Svetlana maintain communication throughout the whole trip making sure to always make us feel welcome and ready in case we needed anything. Overall, for a first time using Airbnb I am nothing less than completely satisfy with my experience and highly recommend there place for anybody visiting Montreal for a few day. We had an amazing time in Montreal this past weekend. A group of ladies all went down for a bachelorette party. The house was just as shown on the listing and Diane was such a pleasure to work with. She was professional and very kind. Our flight didn't leave until late Sunday night so she allowed us to leave our baggage behind so we didn't have to lug it around the city with us. The location is absolutely perfect! There are so many little restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, an SAQ (similar to a LCBO) all within a 5 minute walk if not less. Downtown Montreal was a mere 20 minute walk and with such fabulous weather we walked EVERYWHERE! The festivals were in full effect so we were able to roam around and enjoy those too. When coming back to visit, I would not hesitate to contact Diane again. Merci beaucoups Diane, we had such a great time!

The neighborhood is great, and the house is conveniently located close to groceries, pharmacies, Schwart's Deli (a must try!) and SAQ (the liquor store). Being about a 30 min walk from Old Montreal was nice too - it's a straight forward path. The house fit 10 girls comfortably, and offered enough space for us to prepare meals as well. The living room was so convenient to have so we could all hang out during our down time! Parking was tough to find - some of us ended up parking in a paid parking lot just because it got tiring driving around after 30 mins, and not finding a parking spot. It was $25 a night. Otherwise, if you're lucky, you can find a free parking spot! Diane was a knowledgable and pleasant host, and made our visit to Montreal quite enjoyable!

This house was perfection. It is incredibly spacious with enough bedrooms and space in the living room for a large group. We had a group of 9 girls and fit comfortably at a large round table in the living room, and upstairs on the outdoor patio. The bedrooms on the main level are air conditioned. Location wise, you cannot beat this house! The only time we had to take a cab somewhere was to/from the airport, and out to dinner (but only because we were in heals!) Everything is within a mile to a mile and a half walk! I would definitely recommend this house for a group looking to explore and enjoy Montreal!

As you might already know, while you travel, there are many factors that can influence your arrival time. Andrei immediately responded to my questions before we booked, which made me feel quite comfortable about booking. The apt is in a good location, close to two metro lines, so we parked the car in the garage downstairs ($10/day, not bad) and the city was ours to explore. It's a small, clean and cozy place that had everything we needed and then some! Flawless transaction...we'd like to return when all the ice melts!

Andrei is an excellent host. He is very friendly and welcoming. His apartment has everything you need and more. I asked him if he had a blender and he brought his own so I could use it during my stay. He took the time to show me a map of downtown and pointed out different areas I needed to know about. The apartment is very clean and cozy. It’s very well located, short walk to metro station, grocery store, drugstore, restaurants, etc….The building is very quiet in spite of being downtown. If you have a question and text him, his response time is very short and you never feel like you are bugging him with your questions. I was in Montreal for business but it felt like I was coming home every day after work, it felt homey. I would recommend his place without any hesitation.

The place was so great, it was exactly as detailed. I particularly liked the location of the apartment, it made everything so much more convenient. We were RIGHT in the heart of MTL's downtown area. Bottom line : we are definitely going to contact Andrei again in the near future.

Andrei was a fantastic host. He was always quick to respond to my questions beforehand and made himself available if I had any questions while I was in Montreal. When we arrived he asked us if we needed any suggestions of things to do/see in Montreal, and took time to go over a map with us. He provided many amenities (jam, peanut butter, coffee/tea, shampoo etc.) and his apartment was very nice and immaculate. The location was great- Walking distance to all the sites and within a few minutes of two metro stations. I would recommend staying at Andrei's to anyone. It was a great experience overall!

During the day, after waking up and walking to get some crave-worthy espresso from the surrounding cafés, you can walk through Chinatown to the Old Port (a.k.a. Also a short taxi ride away is little Italy, which hosts fairs in the summer time and provides authentic Italian food which locals go out of their way to experience. Moishes is very well known in Montreal and has a great late-night reduced price menu. Lauren and Antonie made us feel quite welcomed. They were readily available if something came up. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the loft was quite comfortable and spacious to be in. The place was great! It was honestly even bigger than I expected based on the pictures. There were 11 of us in Montreal for a bachelor party, and we all fit/slept comfortably. We honestly probably could have fit more if needed. The location could not be more perfect. There are many bars, clubs, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. This made it very easy to get to where we wanted. Lauren was "hands-off" as a host, but made it very easy for us to be self-sufficient in arriving and leaving. If you did need her for whatever reason, she was very responsive through phone/messaging. She also had many notes throughout the apartment, as well as a nice guide book for suggestions on places to go and things to see. I definitely recommend this place to anyone staying, especially if you are a bigger group looking for an open space to all enjoy together. It could not have been more perfect for what we were looking for!

Lauren was such a great host; very easy to communicate with, very accommodating, and just easy to work with overall. The Loft was exactly as described, very spacious and in the heart of the city. All the restaurants and hot spots in Montreal were literally doors down from the Loft. We had a group of 8 people and the place fit our needs perfectly. I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity.

Me and my friends stayed in the apartment for the weekend. The apartment was actually bigger than we thought, the space is enormous. It was 6 of us and there were enough beds for all, we loved the apartment! The neighborhood is amazing, full of restaurants and bars, with nice and vibrant crowd. Many great options for lunch and dinner, bike rental station right next to the building - all is great! Highly recommended for a group of friends or 2 couples traveling together!

On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal (Parking included). This is it ! In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.) The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type). You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques. There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts. The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min). Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away… Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed) Free reserved parking till June 30 2017. Very vibrant If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.read more

Joseph's place was wonderful. It was clean, well-decorated and in an ideal location. Joseph was also very helpful in discussing his favorite places to visit. The parking spot out front was essential considering the cold temperature and snow. It seems this is an amenity many spots in Montreal may not provide. Thanks for a great experience!

When my boyfriend and I travel, we search for a location that is close to a transportation and/or close to places we plan on visiting. We search through airbnb, hotels and if available, hostels as well. Value, cleanliness and other amenities are considered, and Joseph hit EVERY mark right in the BULLS EYE! The pictures are exactly what you walk into: a very clean, cozy, no clutter home that offers beyond your basic needs...assuming you are easy to please ;) Instead of walking into a hotel as a vistor, you walk into what feels like a home away from home. Even Joseph himself makes you feel like he was hosting his very own friends. Thankfully, the fridge was stocked with the basics (like water.....and beer! haha) So we didn't have to leave as it was already late when we arrived. We barely had any questions for Joseph as he provided ample information abut the area during his greet and ample in the binders as well. Thank you so much Joseph, it was truly a pleasure to meet you and to be hosted by you!

We had a great experience staying at Joseph's apartment! It was immaculate, comfortable, and the neighbourhood is great! As soon as we arrived Joseph came to greet us and make sure we had everything we needed - plus there were a couple of beers waiting for us on arrival. This was the perfect place to stay during our short visit to Montreal. Despite the freezing weather, the apartment was warm, cozy, welcoming, stocked with all necessities, and was exactly what we needed. Joseph came and welcomed us within minutes of us putting our bags down, recommended some things to do in the area, and even drove us to the bus station at the end of our stay. I can't recommend this apartment, or Joseph, enough. Amazing location, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly host.

Beautiful place! Friends and I came for a weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. We thoroughly utilized the kitchen with the well stocked pots and pans when we got sick of eating out....and to save a few bucks. It's an awesome place if you will be driving in Montreal as there is plenty of parking on the street and at most a 15 minute drive to the surrounding attractions.

The place is beautiful. Its clean, well designed and curated and is so close to a main street! The neighborhood is one of the trendiest places in Montreal. Just remember that if there are more than two beds needed, you lose a living room. We spent most of our time at the dining table. The table is narrow and cool looking but be aware if you sit at the edge of the communal bench, it may have a see saw effect and you could fall. It was quiet and pleasant to stay in. The beds were so comfortable. The blinds in the front room didn't fully cover the window, so when people walked by, we felt as if they could see us (Im sure no one was looking). Besides missing a spatula, everything was great!

Very convenient location. Many restaurants are nearby. We never met our hosts, but we communicated via email easily. The apartment is very sunny. Eva and Alex's place is terrific! It's exactly as pictured--clean and comfortable--and in a terrific location (lots of coffee places, restaurants, bars, etc. right around the corner). We appreciated the hot chocolate place a few blocks away (Cacao70) since it was so cold during our visit. We walked to McGill and Mount Royal (and probably could have walked to the Old Port, but it was a bit too cold). We arrived on Sunday evening and had no trouble finding a spot on the street right in front of the house. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Montreal.

We also had no trouble finding parking near the apartment. Will definitely return here if we visit Montréal again!

The room was clean, roomy, well-decorated and perfect for me, with a nice bed for sleeping, and it's nice to have a private back entrance also. It's very close to Jarry Parc and the train station. I only heard the trains passing a couple of times, and it didn't wake me up or bother me at all. It's also close to good bus and subway connections to downtown Montreal. Ludovic's home=made bread should be famous in a city known for good bread. Everything was great, and I only wish I had more time to spend with these wonderful people.

Ludovic and Sylvie are such a wonderful couple! We were very lucky to stay with them. From the very first moment they made us feel welcome. The room is exactly as they described it. They made sure to give us all that we need to make our stay comfortable. They took the time to print information with the wifi password, indication of bus numbers, taxi phone numbers, a map of near by stores, etc They gave us a map of the city and they sat next to us to explain us how to get to different parts of the city. Next day they went out with us to show us around. We had a blast with them! It was a great experience! Don't miss the opportunity to host them or stay in their place, you will have a great time for sure =)

Ludovic and Sylvie were really nice host and the place is awesome like in the picture if it is not more! Easy communication with Ludovic to prepare arrival. He was here upon arrival and gave us information and advices on place where to go in Montreal. Using the balcony door is very convenient especially when coming back late in the night and it also give privacy. Room, bathroom and other common place were very clean. Place close to the subway and really safe area of Montreal. I definitively recommend this place.

Wow! Ludovic and Sylvie were great. Friendly and super helpful with showing me things to do and see in the city. They were a really flexible and laid back couple with a perfect balance of conversation and privacy. Place was as described with private entrance meaning I wasn't disruptive coming back late in the evening. Bed/couch was comfy, no problems there. Very close to shops and transport.

Ludovic and Sylvie have a beautiful house, easily reachable with the subway and located in a quite neighborhood. They are very nice and helpful; they were extremely patient with my bus delay and Ludovic came to pick me up at the subway station..they offer me a coffe and a homemade bread. The room is big and luminous, moreover the bed is really comfortable. Although it was for one night only, I had a perfect homestay! Thanks a lot :)

Clean and cozy apartment with artistic finishing touches. Awesome backyard surrounded by shrubs and trees, stone patio + BBQ and year-round therapeutic hot tub make for a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor space! 2 queen beds + large sectional sofa. This home is close to everything you need in Montréal! Built in the early 1900s, this garden-level 2-bedroom 1 bath house has undergone many renovations in the past few years. That being said, it's original charm has still been retained. This home is comfortable, with a large L-couch in the living room for relaxing. The two bedrooms both have queen-size beds, one soft and the other firm, with plenty of blankets and thermostats to keep you warm during Montreal's chilly months. Both bedrooms also have desks that work great as laptop stations for getting some work done. The kitchen has a dining area for 4-6 and a small breakfast nook that can also serve as a nice work-space. In the backyard we have a garden where you can sit and bask in the sun or use the grill and enjoy a barbecue in the warmer months. During the winter, there is no better way to beat the Montréal cold than taking a dip in our relaxing hot tub. • High-speed WiFi • Fresh linens and towels • Complimentary Shampoo • Fully equipped kitchen • Coffee, tea & sugar • 58" SmartTV with cable • SunDance Optima Hot Tub Spa • Cosco Fun Sport Play Yard crib Guests have access to the entire ground-level apartment, including backyard and garden, wifi, and hot tub. The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware - amenities and groceries are just blocks away and easy to get to on foot! The entire apartment is yours to enjoy. We are both easily reached via Airbnb messaging or phone call and available to help you with anything you need. From questions about our home to local restaurant recommendations! Don't hesitate to message or call anytime! Our home is situated in between Montréal's Old Town/Old Port, the Plateau Mont-Royal leading to Mont-Royal Mountain, and the Olympic Stadium to the east, along with the Biodome animal habitat and Botanical Gardens. All of these Montreal attractions are easily accessible by Montreal's metro system (Station Préfontaine), located just a couple of blocks away from our home. Food Within Walking Distance: • There is a very good bakery just a 5 minute walk away as a breakfast idea. (Le Boulanger/Au Pain Doré @ 3075 rue de Rouen). • There is a corner-store that has a lot of the basics (Métro Rouen) located on the way to the bakery, at the corner of Wurtele and Rouen, open everyday from 9-21. • Also fairly close to our home is Dépanneur Peluso which sells over 400 types of local microbrews if you are looking for something unique to drink (Bonisoir @ 2500 rue Rachel Est; open 7-23 everyday). • Our neighbourhood public market is Maisonneuve Market (Marché Maisonneuve) @ 4445 rue Ontario Est, though it is a bit further of a walk away (30 minutes). • If you are looking for a larger grocery store near our home, we recommend Provigo, just a 10 minute walk away (@ 2925 Rue Rachel E). • SAQ (Québec's liquor retailer) is located in the same plaza as Provigo. • A further drive away, one of our favourite grocery stores is Supermárche PA. Jean Talon is also a beautiful market to check out. • The closest ATM is at the Shell gas station, one block away from our home just up the hill (2800 rue Sherbrooke E). Restaurants nearby our home in the Hochelaga district: • Sata Sushi (3349 Rue Ontario Est) • Le Valois - French restaurant (25 Place Simon-Valois) • Atomic Café (3606 Rue Ontario Est) • Piri Piri (Portugese Chicken; 3753 rue Ontario E) • Café Coop Touski (2361 Rue Ontario E) • Antidote Comptoir Végane (Sandwiches/groceries; 3459 rue Ontario E) Nearby Bars: • L'Espace Public-Brasseurs De Quartier (3632 Rue Ontario E) • Monsieur Smith (4061 Rue Ontario E) • Le Blind Pig (3882 Rue Ontario E) • Le Trèfle Taverne Irlandaise (3971 Rue Ontario E) • Le Valois (25 Place Simon-Valois) Restaurants further away: • Aux vivres (4631 boul St-Laurent) Healthy/delicious vegan restaurant $ • Hachoir (4177 rue Saint-Denis) ~ Tartar/Hamburgers/Wine $$ • Joe Beef (2491 Rue Notre-Dame O) ~ Steak $$$ • Patati Patata Friterie De Luxe (4177 Boul St-Laurent) ~ Mini-burgers, crispy fries and beer $ • Léché Desserts (640 Rue de Courcelle) ~ Gourmet doughnuts (vegan options) $ Please see our digital "Guidebook" for a map of some local businesses. Access to our home from the West or the South is easiest via highway 720. If you are coming from the West (the airport), highway 20 becomes the 720 (Autoroute Ville-Marie). Driving to our home from the North, Boulevard Saint-Michel is usually the fastest. Note: It is unlawful to make a right-hand turn at a red light on the island of Montreal. Parking: There is plenty of street parking on our street (Wurtele). Watch for restricted parking directly in front of the house, which is PERMIT ONLY PARKING. Other than that small section, the entire LEFT side of the street (opposite from our house) is FREE PARKING, or on the right side, outside of the permit only section. Just be sure to read the parking signs, as is true for the entire city of Montreal! Vehicle Rental: It's a 2 minute walk to a local vehicle rental (Location Jean Légaré; 3035 Rue Hochelaga). UBER is definitely the most convenient way to get around when going out to a restaurant and getting home at the end of the night. Simply download the app and create an account. Metro: It's a 5 minute walk to metro Station Préfontaine. Station Prefontaine is on the green line which runs east towards the Olympic Stadium (direction Honoré-Beaugrand) and west to Montréal's downtown (direction Angrignon). Bike: Just up the hill from our home, rue Rachel bike path allows for quick access to Montréal's Plateau neighbourhood via Parc La Fontaine, universities downtown, this path can take you all the way to the base of Mont-Royale Mountain that you can bike or hike up for a great view of Montréal. Bixi bicycle rental is one block away (seasonal). Since the bicycle stands are moved periodically, go to Montréal's Bixi website and view the map to see bicycle stand locations and real-time bicycle availability. Don't forget your swimsuit! The backyard jacuzzi hot tub is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of wandering around the city. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow if you decide to use the spa: 1. GUESTS MUST SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE HOT TUB. Lotions, oils, hair products and soaps quickly pollute the water. Changing the water and cleaning the filter is a costly and time consuming chore, so please don't pollute the water. We change the water regularly and check it's condition after every guest, but please let us know if you have any questions. 2. We kindly ask that no glassware or breakables be used in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups or water bottles are fine. We do not want guests to injure themselves and future guests in any way! 3. Due to the hot tub's location underneath a staircase, we unfortunately do not have a cover lift system. Therefore removal of the hot tub cover requires a specific technique: • Facing the cement wall, lift and pull the cover towards you, away from the stairs. • Flip the left side of the cover over the right side, clearing the stairs, towards the shed. • Push the cover back towards the cement wall, flush with the tub. • You can enjoy the tub half-way open for a quick and easy soak, or you can slide the cover down to rest vertically in between the shed and the hot tub. • Replacing the cover may require a 2nd person to help lift the cover up from the side closest to the cement wall. It is easiest to lift the cover up and half-way back on while you are still standing in the hot tub. If you are unable to remove or replace the cover, please let us know right away, or if our upstairs neighbour is around, he would be happy to assist you. 4. Ensure the hot tub cover is completely closed around the entire tub after you are finished.read more

This was the first time for my husband and I using Airbnb and didn't quite know what to expect but it turned out to be an excellent choice. Christine was extremely helpful with tips and information about how to get there, where to park, what stores are close by and how to get around Montreal. The place had everything we needed and more, it felt like a home and not a hotel. Also, very close to the Metro station (40 mins walk to downtown was a great way to see he city also). Has wifi, washer and dryer and even laundry detergent, fully functional kitchen and even a hot tub (we were out too late to use it though). I'd definitely recommend staying there. Thanks Christine for making our first vacation together a really cool experience!

Christine was very friendly and helpful. Even though she was out of town she was very responsive! The apartment was beautiful and comfortable, much bigger than the pictures give it credit for as well. It was like being at home! The neighborhood was quiet and residential, but it seems like it was only 15-20 minutes from anywhere you would want to go. The hot tub was immaculate and a HUGE bonus!! I'd definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area!
