Wendy was a great host, we didn't make it in until later at night and needed to get a hold of her, she was available as soon as we needed her. The place was very clean and cozy, it has all the basics and more, which makes you appreciate the little things even more (a hot shower after a full day of canoeing was a blessing). Very easy to find instructions and in general a pleasure, great deck with fire pit and be set up. Very comfy beds but make sure you bring your own bedding and arrange a motorized boat rental if you plan on doing a lot of fishing, it's a big lake and canoeing places just won't cut it unless you are in crazy amazing shape I guess. Can't wait to go back!

We had an amazing time at the cottage. We traveled from Toronto which was an easy drive with even easier directions. The cottage featured everything listed in the description and more, making for a perfect getaway from the city. We enjoyed the bikes, the kayaks, the hiking, the swimming, the dock, the deck with fire pit, the BBQ, basically everything! There was plenty of hot water which made the jacuzzi tub an awesome option on a few rainy occasions. We were very well stocked with food and beverages, which we would strongly recommend to any potential cottagers. There is very little in the way of shops in the near area. We were looking for a more secluded cottage experience and this place really delivered. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fully modernized cottage on a quiet lake with great wilderness on your doorstep.

Wendy did a magnificent job communicating with my wife and me. She answered our questions quickly and honestly every time we asked something of her. The cabins were as described and the location was beautiful. Your outdoor deck that connected the cabins was spectacular space for outdoor time both day and night, and the dock was wonderful for sunbathing during the magnificent weather we enjoyed. It made for a super spot for jumping into the cool depths of the lake beyond! Watching and listening to the kingfishers, gray jays and warblers was incredible. The lake was wonderful for swimming, kayaking and canoeing, though you do have neighbors in the Baie Dorval who should be more polite when moving through such a bay. FIshing in a lake like Kipawa was an experience that taught me much. Drew's map was a blessing and very helpful. If only my boat motor would not have failed on me at the end of week one! We were fortunate to get to stay in such a wonderful place as your cabins, and were grateful for Wendy's responsiveness and information. Many blessings to you and your family as you enjoy this location for years to come. We will always think fondly on our time at Lac Kipawa and in the Baie Dorval!

What a great location and the cottage was fantastic. I love having the two bunkies. The host was amazing with no hassles what so ever. We even had to change the date at the last minute and she was very accommodating. We will be going back hopefully next year. If I had the balls to complain about one thing I guess it would be the water. It was a little muddy coming out of the tap but after you ran it a bit it was fine. If you like bass then the fishing was amazing. First night I had about 45 minutes in the kayak (provided) and pulled in the first dinner with four 3 lb. (aprox) bass.

We had five wonderful days at Wendy and Drew's vacation cabins. The weather was a little cloudy the first few days, but our last day was full of swimming and enjoying the water. It was a beautiful place and secluded as advertised. There were some other houses on the bay but the nights sitting by the fire were quiet and peaceful. We canoed and kayaked with the watercraft provided. The lake and cabin were a wonderful place to unplug from technology and relax. John and Mollie.

Great place to spend a week-end! Wendy was a great host to deal with and was always very attentive to our questions. There was lots of room for our party whether we were sitting back and watching a movie or cooking an sitting down to a meal. The view from the deck is outstanding and the cottage is very close to some prime fishing spots. We would definitely stay again!

Marisol's place was very clean and cozy with everything we needed for our short stay in Montreal. The apartment is located in the Little Italy neighbourhood and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we were not travelling with children, I would also recommend this place for families, as it is located directly across the street from one park and a block away from another. Marisol's place is truly a gem - conveniently located, comfortable, and super clean!

My stay at IL Destino was perfect. Marisol met me at the door, showed me the apartment and made sure I had everything I needed. The apartment was spacious, very clean and very quiet. There are loads of local stores, restaurants and of course the wonderful Jean Talon Market. I would definitely stay there again!

Marisol was really welcoming and left me a handwritten note with the keys because I was arriving late in the evening and needed some flexibility with my check in. I met her the second day of my stay and she was lovely. The space was simple, economical, and the location was very convenient for getting to the Beaubien metro and the Jean-Talon Market.

Nice little place on the ground floor which makes a lot of sense while travelling with suitcases. This is my fourth flat in the same area and probably my best stay so far. Very convenient location and place with all what you need inside! Super happy to go home after a working day! I'll definitely try to book it for my next trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Destino and in Montreal's Little Italy. We park the car when we get there - and either walk or take the Metro everywhere. The apartment is cozy and comfortable and feels like a home away from home to us. And Marisol and Beat are wonderful hosts!

Marisol was very responsive to all my questions from the beginning of the process. She really does cater to families. We have a 20 month old, and she procured a travel crib and bedding for us. The apartment is literally across the street from a fantastic park and wading pool that we enjoyed every day during our visit. We were pleasantly surprised to find Montreal has so many nice playgrounds, pools, and splash pad, but to have one right across the street was special. The location near the subway and Jean-Talon Market is exceptional. We walked there in the mornings to get breakfast and groceries. The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need without having to deal with a lot of personal items. We'd love to come back for another visit next summer!

Four of us had a great weekend in Montreal. Just three nights for four close friends to stay in this apartment is ideal. Any longer could be pushing it as sleeping quarters are effectively shared. The home is smart, well equipped and in a great location close to the metro and within 5min walk of plenty of restaurants and shops. The neighbourhood is safe and welcoming. Parking was easy on the days we visited. Thank you Esther for the helpful tips before we arrived.

I only met with Esther briefly when I arrived to the Airbnb. She was incredibly responsive over Airbnb messaging and texting. Esther was hands off and the Airbnb also has a separate lockable entry beyond the key code-locked front door which was perfect for our independent traveling group. She was also very helpful by showing an updated wifi password and handing off a tv remote with new batteries. Lastly, Esther was okay with us leaving luggage in the hallway past our check out time. The place was stunning both in photos and in real life. Very clean, very useful with its amenities. We used the wifi, TV/HDMI cable, fridge, sink, toaster oven, and washer/dryer without a problem. My 3 friends and I stayed here for 3 nights–two of us slept in the bed, the other two slept on the sofa bed. I'd recommend sleeping parallel to the sofa instead of perpendicular as it's a bit more comfortable that way.. We were within walking distance to Saint Denis and Sherbrooke Station which made points of interest really accessible.

Will was great! He told us everything we needed to know before arriving. We even had the privilege of the apartment all to ourselves as Will was out of town. The apartment was immaculate!!! Me and my partner aren't clean freaks or anything but we like the basics - clean fresh towels and bedding, clean toilet and bathroom and kitchen. Wills apartment certainly had all of these things and more. He left us maps, toiletries and the wifi code all easy to access. The one small issue we had was one day the electronic door didn't let us in, so in a little panic we knocked on his neighbours door - who was very helpful and let us use his wifi to contact Will. Within 15 mins his partner Marc came with a key and let us in. In fairness it was reassuring to know that if anything happened and the Will wasn't nearby, then someone else was that could help so we didn't mind at all, it even gave us chance to meet more locals - every opportunity and all!

My wife and I were looking for a comfortable room in downtown Montreal with reasonable privacy and a friendly host. This B&B suite and its host, Will Atkinson, exceeded our expectations in every respect. Will's suite is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is large and fully appointed and the bedroom is comfortable and quiet. Will is not only very helpful and anxious to please and he is a delight to converse with. We liked the location. There are needy people in the neighbourhood but we adapted to it very quickly and never felt uncomfortable. The Metro station is nearby and once we were attuned to it we used it extensively. We recommend Will's home enthusiastically.

This apartment was great value for money and we'd highly recommend.

I have lived in Old Montreal for 30 years and am probably it s oldest resident in terms of years. I know the area like no one else. I am very happy to share my love for one of the oldest neighbourhoods in North America. I do travel often but am always available to direct you to interesting options to help you enjoy your vacation. One of the Oldest neighbourhoods in North America. Where Canadian Banking, Trading, Printing, Transportation, and Nation were conceived. Montreal was an American city for 7 months from November 1775 to May 1776 (the yankee occupation) when Benjamin Franklin concluded it would be easier to buy the province of Lower Canada than to conquer it. The Chateau Ramsey (1705) (around the corner and left on Notre Dame street) was home to the American parliament during the war for independence and briefly of American Generals Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold and American diplomat Benjamin Franklin, sent to convince the French Canadians to join the rebellion against England, during the brief Yankee occupation of Montreal during the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin set up the first printing press in Canada when he was here. Fleury Mesplet was sent here by Franklin to print pro revolutionary propaganda meant to convince francophones to join the cause of the United Colonies. He found lodging in a tavern and set up his printing press in a building on rue Capitale (a lane running from St-Sulpice to St-François-Xavier, South of St. Paul street, north of de la Commune street). There used to be a plaque in the lane that for some reason is no longer there! Fleury did not leave with the revolutionaries and ended up founding the Montreal Gazette, it is still printed today, pick one up. The old Montreal GAZETTE building on St Jaques street now a hotel. LaPresse still have their offices on the corner of St. Laurent and St Jacques street. Le Devoir started on St. Vincent street as did the first publishing houses in Canada. Old Montreal started as a religious mission and later a fur trading post. It was founded by the Sulpician order from France. They built a copy of Notre Dame Church in Paris on Notre Dame street. I have been to both and can tell you that our interior is much more impressive. Montreal was home to many Blacksmiths in the early days as to produce metal instruments to trade with the natives for fur. The furs were traded around present day Place Royale and the lanes to the east and west of the square. Samuel de Champlain founded Ville Marie in 1642 at Pointe De Caliere where a small stream met the river, today where Pointe a Callier museum sits. A statue to him sits in front of Notre Dame church on Place D Armes in the middle of a modern version of Place D Armes which used to be a Victorian Park. In front of Chateau Ramsey sits Montreal City hall (1872) a smaller version of Paris City hall and the first in Canada to be built solely for Municipal governance. In front of City Hall stands (Horatio) Nelson s Column(1809) on Place Jacques Cartier predates Nelson s column in trafalgar square In London England (1843). Across the street you will see bonsecours Market which was the parliament of Canada for a brief time. Also Notre Dame de Bonsecours Church founded by Marguerite Bourgeous. Walk out the door ,turn left and down the street from the apartment sits one of the founding fathers of Canada s residence. Sir George Etienne Cartier's residence in Montreal, at 458 Notre-Dame Street East, which is now the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site dedicated to his life and achievements. It also serves to recall the architectural heritage and lifestyles of the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal. He helped found Canada along with Sir John A. Mcdonald, The CP railroad, The civil code (still used today), Grand Trunk Railroad (Old Head Office on Mcgill street), and have British Columbia join confederation, Creating the Province of Manitoba, Negotiating the purchase of Rupert s land and The Northwest Territories. You are in his neighbourhood, along with Jacques Viger, Joseph Papineau, Renee Levesque, Pauline Marois, to name a few. Canada s wall street (St Jacques street formerly St James street) where all the first head offices of Canadian banks were opened. the first on Place D Armes the Bank of Montreal (1847) Pantheon like building. Open a bank account at this branch, the transit number is 0001 as it was the first bank in Canada! The birthplace of Canadian banking on 113 St. Paul street east, where you will find a plaque commemorating the site of the first Bank of Montreal and the birthplace of Canadian banking. Still with me? This is only minutes from the apartment...get the picture? Well Old Montreal today is a lot like Old Montreal of yesterday. Politics, cafes, culture, Social events and life. The Old Port hosts the Igloofest in February which is a four weekend Techno party outside in the winter weather with ten thousand Vintage ski suit clad partiers dancing to the finest techno on the planet. I know un imaginable you should see the look of disbelief on the artists faces when they see the scene before them. Montreal's Cirque du Soleil World Premieres all it s new shows in May every year here in the Old Port. We are home to the best nightclubs in the city along with lively bars and Parisian style outdoor cafe s and yes some tourist traps that are not so bad. We are home to some of the best chef s in the country concocting their wizardry in the most antique and unique of settings. There is an impressive list of Art galleries starting around the corner on Bonsecours street and rounding onto Rue St. Paul all the way to Mcgill street an impressive display of Art in the windows of these galleries as we walk along this Art gallery route. Old Montreal In very recent years it has been developed in some cases the right way in other cases for pure greed. It started to be torn down until Mayor Jean Drapeau ( there is a statue of him in a park in front of city hall) protected it. A fight that carries on today! Unfortunately over the years dull minded individuals have not respected it when trying to make a profit. Luckily much of it is intact and a well kept secret I would like to share with you. Stay away from the overpriced hotels here as their greed is destroying the first Cold Storage facility and super market in Montreal the Gunn Langlois dry goods and cold storage market between St. Vincent street and Place Jacques Cartier. Don t encourage them please, they are destroying my neighbourhood. A nine story blemish in our old neighborhood completely against the zoning laws, and our protected heritage. Other s like the Gault Hotel on ste Helene street which is housed in North America s first YMCA, did a commendable job of restoring a heritage building. Ste Helene street is the only street in Montreal to have gas lanterns of yesteryear a little known fact. I invite you to visit, daydream, fantasize about the past, live for the present in my neighbourhood which I dearly cherish. Stay in the shadow of the Angels guarding our port atop the Notre Dame de Bonsecours church sandwiched between art Galleries, Celebrity chef s, founders of nations, Parliaments of nations, on the step to the gateway to the New World! There is a bixi stand right near the flat where you can rent bicycles by the hour and drop them off in other parts of the city. We are right next to the bike path that connects the city and continues along the Old Port and Lachine Canal. There are a metro and bus stops close by. St. Paul street pedestrian walkway is 1 block from the apartment. Take a water taxi across the street in the Old Port to St Helen s Island. Great outdoor patio very rare in Old Montreal!read more

The listing was accurate, the apartment very nice. It's in a terrific area, lots of things going on, lots of restaurants and galleries. Easy walk to the Palais des Congres, where we were working. Catherine was there to meet us and had the apartment sparkling. With two bedrooms and two baths, it was perfect for coworkers of different genders. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The patio was a nice extra. The fridge was stocked with an assortment of drinks and snacks; a very nice touch. I would definitely book this place again.

We (a family of 5) had a wonderful stay in Montreal, thanks, in large part, to having chosen to stay at this apartment. The location is perfect for exploring the old city and there are dozens of interesting restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Nelson was a gracious host, and it's clear that he's willing to go the extra mile to see to his guests' needs. Our only regret was not staying a few more days!

We had a FABULOUS stay at Nelson's historic apartment in the heart of Old Montreal. The location couldn't be any better, and same goes with the place itself. I highly recommend staying here. Thank-you Nelson!!!

Nelson's apartment is a perfect spot to use as a base for exploring all that Montreal has to offer. You can't beat the location, right in the heart of the historic district & steps away from great food, cocktails, history, beautiful churches, the river promenade, shopping, and much more. The apartment itself is bright & inviting, and Nelson was a great communicator through the booking process, and his friend Steve was on-hand to let me into the apt and give me the lay of the land. Definitely looking forward to a return visit!

Rogers's condo was lovely. Very clean, open concept, no clutter. So much better than a box hotel. Neighbourhood was colourful & close enough to a metro station. We also had a mishap with a misplaced key, but Roger was very helpful & prompt & most memorably, concerned for our safety. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

The apartment looked exactly like the pictures with additional features. It was very clean, as well. Jing's instructions were very detailed, which made it very easy to access the building and keys. What an amazing condo! Perfect little spot for one or two people. Tastefully decorated - clean - and all the amenities of home. Not to mention its walking distance from anything you could possibly want or need to do downtown. Minutes from the bell center and at Catherine street, with a dep & saq just a block away. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking to explore the downtown area. Jing was the perfect host and made the traveling/parking/getting in as simple as could be. Thanks Jing !!

Jing is wonderful. She left us detailed instructions on how to access the apartment, had welcome pamphlets and guides to Montreal in the apartment as well as an extra set of clean towels waiting for us. She kept in touch through our visit to ensure we had everything we needed. The apartment itself is well-lit and just like the photos. The bed is cozy and comfortable for two and the living space is great for cooking, meals and some wine. The cherry on top is the lovely view of Montreal. The apartment is well located and super close to downtown Montreal. There is ample parking space in the building. We could not have asked for a better place for our long weekend in Quebec!

Jing's apartment is very cozy and clean, the walking distance from Central Station to her place is within 20 minutes, about 6 or 7 minutes to LUCIEN-L'ALLIER station of the metro orange line on foot. So we were very convenient to go everywhere and saw a lot of beautiful scenery in Montreal. Jing arranged a very easy check-in and check-out way, the apartment gave us a warm and homey feeling. We highly recommend Jing's apartment to everyone.

We really enjoyed staying at Jing's apartment! Although we never met her in person, her communication was very well done. Finding our way to the right apartment is a bit of a scavenger hunt but you will totally understand why when you get there - not easy to convey but Jing does a very good job! The location is good - just blocks away from busy restaurant streets, walkable to downtown Old Montreal and also right by the subway. Then again, the apartment is also very quiet and has a wonderful view. We would definitely stay there again if in the area!

Jing was very accommodating and quick in replying and addressing to your concerns. The building is right off the highway and very easy to locate. It is close enough to downtown (shopping district) to walk to. We actually walked to the shopping district, all the way to Chinatown and back on foot, and I was fine...can't say the same about the girl lol. Parking is available for $15 per day at the building and you can go in and out as many times as you like. The place is exactly as described and as you see on the pictures. We would definately stay here again. Thanks Jing!

I absolutely loved the location of this apartment. Literally a stones throw away from Rue Catherine which is full of bars and restaurants. While I was not able to meet Svetlana upon my arrival she provided crystal clear check-in instructions. As an English speaker with very little fluency in French, the narrow yet convenient parking was a blessing. Overall, great, clean apartment with a pool and deck I would've loved to spend more time in if it weren't 11 (F) degrees.

We had an amazing time in Montreal this past weekend. A group of ladies all went down for a bachelorette party. The house was just as shown on the listing and Diane was such a pleasure to work with. She was professional and very kind. Our flight didn't leave until late Sunday night so she allowed us to leave our baggage behind so we didn't have to lug it around the city with us. The location is absolutely perfect! There are so many little restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, an SAQ (similar to a LCBO) all within a 5 minute walk if not less. Downtown Montreal was a mere 20 minute walk and with such fabulous weather we walked EVERYWHERE! The festivals were in full effect so we were able to roam around and enjoy those too. When coming back to visit, I would not hesitate to contact Diane again. Merci beaucoups Diane, we had such a great time!

This house was perfection. It is incredibly spacious with enough bedrooms and space in the living room for a large group. We had a group of 9 girls and fit comfortably at a large round table in the living room, and upstairs on the outdoor patio. The bedrooms on the main level are air conditioned. Location wise, you cannot beat this house! The only time we had to take a cab somewhere was to/from the airport, and out to dinner (but only because we were in heals!) Everything is within a mile to a mile and a half walk! I would definitely recommend this house for a group looking to explore and enjoy Montreal!

Diane's apartment was ideal for us, large and cozy and a warm retreat from the cold Montreal streets. Lots of good little stores all around for croissants, groceries, flowers. Good beds for sleeping, a good kitchen for cooking, lots of space for all of us to spread out. Diane met us when we arrived and was gracious and cheerful. Nothing we needed after that as the house works so well.

Kim and Will were great hosts and offered us lots of tips for exploring the city. Communication was good throughout. It was also great to meet their very friendly little dogs! The apartment is in an amazing building and finished to a high spec. The room we had was clean and comfortable with good wifi coverage. We had free access to their kitchen and living area if we needed it but didn't really make use of it during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

I really liked Will and Kim´s appartment, it´s really close to two subway stations, there are all kind of restaurants close to it. Will and Kim were always willing to help us, they even have a little map with all the restaurants close to the house. And their dogs are really adorable :)

Kim and Will are awesome hosts! They made me and my girlfriend feel super at home, and made it feel like we were just staying in a friends guest room! Their dogs are super cute and cuddly and love to play with you too. The couple is very friendly and will suggest to you awesome places to go in Montreal They were super welcoming the second we met them. There was never an awkward silence while they were in the apartment with us. We immediately connected and we felt as if we had known them for years. We would gladly come back in the future, and we plan to this summer. We've never been to such a comforting Airbnb before. We made great memories not only outside in the city, but inside with this amazing family as well. 1000x recommend Kim and Will! Look no further for a stay in Montreal! You seriously wont regret staying here. There are no other places like it in Montreal.

Kim and Will were more than accommodating from the get-go. They were easy to reach and extremely helpful. Kim even helped me get set up with makeup and hair appointments for the wedding I was attending. The loft is beautiful with lots of space and light and looks just like it does in the pictures. I felt instantly comfortable here, had lots of privacy but also felt welcome to hang out in the living area too. I would definitely recommend staying here as St Henri is also such an interesting and vibrant neighborhood. A little map of the area and some great recommendations is ready for you in the room if you're not familiar with the area. If you're lucky enough and this place is available, book it!!! Thanks so much guys for a great stay, all the help with the appointments and suggestions. The Tequila bar is excellent! Cheers!!! I will definitely try and stay here again when I'm back in town.

Kim and Will are warm and welcoming hosts. I stayed 14 days here and it felt like home. I had free access to the kitchen and laundry - a major boon for a long-term traveller. The apartment is as you see in the pictures and the room I stayed in is in the centre of the main image. Their little dogs are lovely company and the place was clean and comfortable. The location is close to two metro stations, so transport is a breeze. I also walked into town several times. There are many cafes, restaurants and a supermarket on their street. I highly recommend this property.

Jing's condo was really nice, clean and has a modern look. It was perfect for our group of 5! We were over an hour late with our scheduled arrival but Jing's friend Mohamed took us to the unit and handed over the key within minutes after I called him. Groceries, convenience stores and restaurants are just a few blocks away. I didn't have to call Jing. She answered all my inquiries promptly thru text and airbnb messaging. She gave us access to the pool. Too bad we didn't get to enjoy it coz of lack of time. We'll definitely stay here again if ever we come back to Montreal.

The place was exactly as described and was very clean. We had four people sleep comfortably. Two bathrooms really helped us get ready quickly in the morning and head out to visit Montreal. The stay was great, fresh towels, clean kitchen \ bathrooms, large open space to eat and rest between trips. Jing's handler came running to give us our keys when we arrived. Jing was also very responsive via text message. Location was amazing for us as we had friends staying in the hotel that was adjacent to the condo. It made coordinating with them very easy. The location was great, tons of cabs out front of the hotel which is a two minute walk. There was also an amazing pub called La Belle & Le Beouf within walking distance where the music, food and people were amazing. I would stay here again. Thanks so much Jing!

Great stay! Everything is exactly as the pictures. Bathrooms very clean and i really recomended. Jing answer everything very quick and help us a lot for our arrival. Great option value-location. Great for 5 people. We were three so one per room. I guess is the best option for three rooms.

Jing provided all of our information via message/email which made the checkin process very quick and easy. The apartment met all of our requirements and felt more like a home away from home than a hotel room with complete kitchen and laundry facilities in the unit. The location is very conveniently located off a main blvd in downtown Montreal and parking is located right underneath for a $15/nt fee. We would highly recommend this place for a family that needs a bit more space than a large hotel room.

We had a lovely stay at Jing's apartment. The place was very clean and warm and exactly as in the photos. Metro was a short walk away and a taxi rank on the corner. The place is very central and I'm sure with walking distance from downtown and old town, in better weather. Jing was very obliging in letting us stay in the apartment until we had to leave for our evening flight.
Timothy

Our family of five spent 5 wonderful nights at Jing's beautiful 3 bedroom apartment from July 11 to 16. The apartment is centrally located and only five minutes walking distance to Guy-Concordia Subway station. It is in a great location middle of everything yet feels very private. I would highly recommend getting weekly Metro pass if you are planning to stay in Montreal for more than 3 days. The Only thing that I would have recommend would be Air Conditioning in the master bedroom. Thank you, Jing, for letting our family stay at your place. Definitely planning to return again in the near future.

Lovely and tastefully decorated flat, very tidy and organised, perfectly situated, all necessary equipment. Alex was a good host. He provided us with clear instructions for check in via e-mail and was available to us via text message throughout our stay. The loft is incredibly beautiful and bright, and we enjoyed staying here. As you can tell from the photos, it is magazine-like! The bedroom has been updated since these photos and we loved the dark paint colour. Something awesome about this listing is the many hangars in the closet and hooks in the bedroom which are great for towels. It was easy to unpack during our brief stay and we felt very settled. *Though the listing says that the loft is quiet and it does face away from the street, sound from the apartment across the call can be fairly pronounced -- we could hear their conversations clearly, especially in the evening. Packing ear plugs would be my tip for future visitors, just as a precaution. An eye mask would also help anyone who is looking to sleep in, as the skylights might feel like an intrusion in the morning.

This apartment was a great base for my friend and I to explore Montreal. We came with each of our babies and Eva and Alex provided a travel crib and bedding which meant we could travel with a lot less gear. They also told us where great parks were for little ones, which helped us get started. Best of all, the two bedrooms were on opposite sides of the apartment so our babies didn't wake each other up! The kitchen/living area was cheerful and easy to use. The back garden was a perfect toddler running ground. We were especially happy to have access to the washing machine and drying line. I'd recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Montreal!

The location couldn't have been better, with bixi bikes on the corner, and everything we needed (good coffee and food!) all within close walking distance. The apartment is spacious, well equipped, relaxing, quiet, and so comfortable. It made for a great get away. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Montreal.

Quiet and sunny room in a recent charming condominuim. 2 mins walk from metro station Parc and grocery. 15-20 min to downtown via metro. Next to Jarry park (Rogers Cup tennis). 15 min walk from Jean Talon public market (the biggest in North America). The room has a private entrance by the terrasse. It contents a confortable double size bed and an office desk. The guest can use the living room, the kitchen (only for breakfast), and of course the bathroom. We are willing to help and give good recommandations to make your stay in Montreal pleasant. You are at the crossing point of the little Italy with excellent restaurant, public market and coffee places, and the Greek and Indian neighborhood. The Jarry park is one of the biggest in Montreal, perfect for sport activities (jogging, tennis, soccer, basketball...), for pic-nik, and chilling out... The metro station is 2 min walk from the appartment. In addition there are some parking places in the area. We speak French, English, Czech, and some Spanish.read more

Wonderful people! Ludovic came to get me at the station even late at night, and it was only a few minutes walk to their place in a nice new building. The room was clean, roomy, well-decorated and perfect for me, with a nice bed for sleeping, and it's nice to have a private back entrance also. It's very close to Jarry Parc and the train station. I only heard the trains passing a couple of times, and it didn't wake me up or bother me at all. It's also close to good bus and subway connections to downtown Montreal. Ludovic's home=made bread should be famous in a city known for good bread. Everything was great, and I only wish I had more time to spend with these wonderful people.

Ludovic and Sylvie were really nice host and the place is awesome like in the picture if it is not more! Easy communication with Ludovic to prepare arrival. He was here upon arrival and gave us information and advices on place where to go in Montreal. Using the balcony door is very convenient especially when coming back late in the night and it also give privacy. Room, bathroom and other common place were very clean. Place close to the subway and really safe area of Montreal. I definitively recommend this place.

They made sure to give us all that we need to make our stay comfortable. They took the time to print information with the wifi password, indication of bus numbers, taxi phone numbers, a map of near by stores, etc They gave us a map of the city and they sat next to us to explain us how to get to different parts of the city. Next day they went out with us to show us around. We had a blast with them! It was a great experience! On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal (Parking included). This is it ! In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.) The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type). You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques. There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts. The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min). Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away… Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed) Free reserved parking till June 30 2017. Very vibrant If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.read more

The listing was very accurate for this place. Joseph made us feel very welcome, and had left folders with suggestions of places to eat and drink in the area. The place was very clean, tidy and warm. We loved Joseph's apartment! It is perfectly located in the Plateau neighborhood and made a great base for exploring the city during our 4 night stay. The apartment looks just like the pictures, and the coffee machine, the super hot water, the backyard bbq grill, and the firm mattress were delightful ways to begin and end our days in the city. We fell in love with Montreal as we explored on bike (Bixi rental plus metro rental were THE way to see the city during beautiful summer days). The old city, Jean Talon market, Mont Royal park, and other sites are easily accessible, but our favorite part was just wandering through the Plateau and Mile End neighborhoods. Joseph left a great guide to the city and his recommendations didn't lead us wrong: burgers at L'Anecdote, bread and pastries at Mr. Pinchot, and smoked meat at Schwartz's were affordable and delicious. Montreal is a fabulous city, and this was the perfect place from which to see it. We just wish we had stayed longer!

Joseph's place in the Plateau was one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in through AirBnB. It was impeccably clean and perfectly laid out; he had thought of all the small details, and it felt like coming home to a lovely apartment while in a different city. Joseph was communicative, friendly, and made the whole process so easy and fun. He came by to say hi and check in on us, and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be messaging him again to stay here on our next trip to Montreal.

François responded to telephone calls, texts and emails in a prompt and friendly manner. He was very helpful and open to questions and comments. The loft was exceedingly clean and spectacular with its windows. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were wonderful and the washer and dryer and soaker tub were wonderful perks as we spent a week there and these proved invaluable and so refreshing. The centrality of the location to the Metro, local IGA store and dining made it perfect and I enjoyed sitting in the windows with one open as I sipped my coffee and watched the stylish early morning commuters. I would highly recommend this loft and will definitely return for another wonderful adventure.
