We had an amazing time at the cottage. We traveled from Toronto which was an easy drive with even easier directions. The cottage featured everything listed in the description and more, making for a perfect getaway from the city. We enjoyed the bikes, the kayaks, the hiking, the swimming, the dock, the deck with fire pit, the BBQ, basically everything! There was plenty of hot water which made the jacuzzi tub an awesome option on a few rainy occasions. We were very well stocked with food and beverages, which we would strongly recommend to any potential cottagers. There is very little in the way of shops in the near area. We were looking for a more secluded cottage experience and this place really delivered. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fully modernized cottage on a quiet lake with great wilderness on your doorstep.
Wendy and Drew were great hosts! Super helpful and responsive leading up to our trip. The cottage itself is on a beautiful spot and packed with all the amenities one could need!
Wendy did a magnificent job communicating with my wife and me. She answered our questions quickly and honestly every time we asked something of her. The cabins were as described and the location was beautiful. Your outdoor deck that connected the cabins was spectacular space for outdoor time both day and night, and the dock was wonderful for sunbathing during the magnificent weather we enjoyed. It made for a super spot for jumping into the cool depths of the lake beyond! Watching and listening to the kingfishers, gray jays and warblers was incredible. The lake was wonderful for swimming, kayaking and canoeing, though you do have neighbors in the Baie Dorval who should be more polite when moving through such a bay. FIshing in a lake like Kipawa was an experience that taught me much. Drew's map was a blessing and very helpful. If only my boat motor would not have failed on me at the end of week one! We were fortunate to get to stay in such a wonderful place as your cabins, and were grateful for Wendy's responsiveness and information. Many blessings to you and your family as you enjoy this location for years to come. We will always think fondly on our time at Lac Kipawa and in the Baie Dorval!
We had five wonderful days at Wendy and Drew's vacation cabins. The weather was a little cloudy the first few days, but our last day was full of swimming and enjoying the water. It was a beautiful place and secluded as advertised. There were some other houses on the bay but the nights sitting by the fire were quiet and peaceful. We canoed and kayaked with the watercraft provided. The lake and cabin were a wonderful place to unplug from technology and relax. John and Mollie.
Great place to spend a week-end! Wendy was a great host to deal with and was always very attentive to our questions. There was lots of room for our party whether we were sitting back and watching a movie or cooking an sitting down to a meal. The view from the deck is outstanding and the cottage is very close to some prime fishing spots. We would definitely stay again!
What a great location and the cottage was fantastic. I love having the two bunkies. The host was amazing with no hassles what so ever. We even had to change the date at the last minute and she was very accommodating. We will be going back hopefully next year. If I had the balls to complain about one thing I guess it would be the water. It was a little muddy coming out of the tap but after you ran it a bit it was fine. If you like bass then the fishing was amazing. First night I had about 45 minutes in the kayak (provided) and pulled in the first dinner with four 3 lb. (aprox) bass.
Grateful to have found this little gem of a cottage in beautiful Laniel. Cozy, peaceful, and a perfect start to Thanksgiving weekend. Thank you, Wendy!
Wendy was a great host, we didn't make it in until later at night and needed to get a hold of her, she was available as soon as we needed her. The place was very clean and cozy, it has all the basics and more, which makes you appreciate the little things even more (a hot shower after a full day of canoeing was a blessing). Very easy to find instructions and in general a pleasure, great deck with fire pit and be set up. Very comfy beds but make sure you bring your own bedding and arrange a motorized boat rental if you plan on doing a lot of fishing, it's a big lake and canoeing places just won't cut it unless you are in crazy amazing shape I guess. Can't wait to go back!

absolutely awesome. Such a great place and amazing location. Suzie was so helpful and could not have asked for a better place and host

My stay at IL Destino was perfect. Marisol met me at the door, showed me the apartment and made sure I had everything I needed. The apartment was spacious, very clean and very quiet. There are loads of local stores, restaurants and of course the wonderful Jean Talon Market. I would definitely stay there again!
Marisol was Very friendly! The apartment was clean, roomy and in a great location!
Marisol's apartment in Little Italy was perfect for what I needed. It is in a quiet, safe part of Montreal, within walking distance of Jean Talon market and the Mile End. It was very clean and had all the basics, including an adorable garden out back. Unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to chat too much because she was out of town when I arrived, but she was very helpful and introduced herself once she was back in town. As someone with friends and family in Montreal, I will definitely consider staying at Il Destino again.
Marisol's place is great! It is exactly what i was looking for: clean, quiet, well-located, with easy access to public transport. The amenities are perfect, though i didn't make use of most of them. I didn't meet Marisol, but she made herself available for me, and i felt i could contact her easily, and she would do what she could to resolve any issues i might have. I highly recommend this place, and will certainly call on her again when i travel back to Montreal.
Nice little place on the ground floor which makes a lot of sense while travelling with suitcases. This is my fourth flat in the same area and probably my best stay so far. Very convenient location and place with all what you need inside! Super happy to go home after a working day! I'll definitely try to book it for my next trip!
We really enjoyed our stay at Il Destino and in Montreal's Little Italy. We park the car when we get there - and either walk or take the Metro everywhere. The apartment is cozy and comfortable and feels like a home away from home to us. And Marisol and Beat are wonderful hosts!
Marisol's place was very clean and cozy with everything we needed for our short stay in Montreal. The apartment is located in the Little Italy neighbourhood and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we were not travelling with children, I would also recommend this place for families, as it is located directly across the street from one park and a block away from another. Marisol's place is truly a gem - conveniently located, comfortable, and super clean!
Marisol was very responsive to all my questions from the beginning of the process. She really does cater to families. We have a 20 month old, and she procured a travel crib and bedding for us. The apartment is literally across the street from a fantastic park and wading pool that we enjoyed every day during our visit. We were pleasantly surprised to find Montreal has so many nice playgrounds, pools, and splash pad, but to have one right across the street was special. The location near the subway and Jean-Talon Market is exceptional. We walked there in the mornings to get breakfast and groceries. The apartment is clean and modern and has everything you need without having to deal with a lot of personal items. We'd love to come back for another visit next summer!

We stayed with Esther over a 4 month period. Our stay was more than extra ordinary! Esther was inviting, attentive, caring and thoughtful throughout our entire stay. Esther always went the extra mile to ensure that we felt comfortable and welcome. The apartment is immaculate and in one of the best suburbs of Montreal! We really felt like we had a home. We will be back for sure!
Most Excellent Place. Pictures and description are right on. I stayed here instead of a hotel for a recent business trip. Due to my schedule I never meet Esther. Via email and text she made it so easy to get in settled. She made great restaurant recommendations and answered any questions I had emailed her very quickly. The neighborhood is great!! 1/2 block walk to assume restaurants, shops and more.
Translate this flat into a five-star Soho suite costing $3,000 a night, move it about 400 miles north, reduce the price by $2,875 and you will have this exquisitely appointed nest in the heart of the Plateau. With an exceptional kitchen! And a garden entrance. And a dreamy bed. And a fabulous shower. And everything you would ever need because Esther has already thought of it. Flawless. Fabulous neighborhood, amazing restaurants, super friendly residents, four blocks from the Metro. Yes.
Wonderful place, we had an amazing experience. The place is huge, clean, confortable and well located. Esther was so nice, she was available at any time to answer our questions. I really recommend Esther's place. Thank you very much :)
One of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had. The place was gorgeous, comfortable, and in a great location. And Esther was an absolute pleasure to work with.
I normally expect to find that an Airbnb host, like a real estate agent, flatters their property a little but Esther's description of her apartment is entirely fair and accurate. It doesn't disappoint in any way. The space is the lower-ground floor of a typical Montreal condo. It has been tastefully and sympathetically fitted out in an "industrial" style which sets off the bare stone walls on either side - steel and reclaimed timber for furniture and fittings and a polished concrete floor. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower cubicle, "wet room" style, with two excellent showers to choose from - plenty of hot water coming at you in impressive quantity. The bed is comfortable and while the space is largely open-plan, the sleeping area is tucked away behind the bathroom and utility room affording a little privacy from the sitting area. There is a small courtyard garden at the back. The neighbourhood is in the chic Plateau area north and west of Downtown and the buildings in the street are smarter and better-maintained than some Plateau streets. The metro and the shopping streets of St Denis and St Laurent are within easy walking distance. there is an attractive park (Lafontaine) about 5 minutes walk to the east. And of course there are the ubiquitous Bixi bike hire stations, with two or three within a couple of minutes' walk away - you can quickly access a network of off-road cycle tracks including the Rue Rachel track which links McGill university to the Olympic Park, a route through Parc Lafontaine which takes you up past Parc Wilfrid Laurier to the Jean Talon market, and the Rue Berri track which takes you all the way to Old Port or to connect with the Maisonneuve track which leads into the centre of Downtown. This way you have quick, flexible and cheap connectivity to most of the principal attractions of the city. Not only would I recommend this apartment to a friend, I would book it again on a future trip to Montreal.
Beautiful basement apartment. Bathroom was lovely with delicious shampoos etc! TV/Netflix was appreciated in the evenings. The location was perfect for walking around Plateau and Mile End and taking the Metro downtown. Esther was away when we arrived but she was able to keep communicating with us when we were confused about where to park. We would highly recommend this apartment for 2 people!
Esther was very welcoming and very prompt in her communication. The apartment was exactly as described. The neighborhood was fabulous; love the plateau

First and formost - rod was excellent. He met us the first day we arrived to give us some basic information about the area. And he was available all weekend if we needed anything (I.e. He even helped us search for free parking around the area). He provided a manual with information about the area, and simple instructions about the apartment itself. The place was great. Perfect for a large bachelor party group. Spacious, fun, and fairly close to many things. The TV, pool table, and ping pong table were great. The patio and grill were great. Only improvement I would make up there is that there was no lighting for after dark up there. Overall everyone loved the place. And we were extremely happy. Thanks for everything rod.
Rod and Justin were great. They were very easy to work with and frequently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Awesome experience with the house. We had a group of 11 in town for a fantasy football draft (bachelor party without a bachelor!) and the space the perfect. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. The owners were very responsive and offered to go above and beyond to make our stay as fun as possible. Would definitely recommend to other groups.
Solid spot with incredible location. Everything was as promised. Having 30 plus towels and numerous bedsheets was so clutch over a long weekend in a house full of 12+ people. Overall fills a niche need as advertised. Highly recommend.
This place is a PERFECT spot for a boys weekend to Montreal. Location is great, place is great, amenities are great. So much better to all stay in one group than separate hotel rooms. The place is as good as the pictures make it out to be (except patio is larger than I thought). With good weather - the patio is a huge asset and was where we spent a lot of time having some bbq & pre-game activities. We took advantage of his pre-arrival grocery run pickup for a fee which worked out really well. Rod stopped by a couple times and was extremely helpful with all of my questions.
We went to Montreal for a bachelor party and this place was perfect! First, Rod was very responsive and flexible. He allowed us to check in early and was easy to reach. Second, the house looked exactly how it was in the pictures. It easily accommodated our large group. Finally, the neighborhood is great. The grocery store, a convenience store, and ATMs are a short walk away. The metro was about a 15 minute walk away too. And there are several bars right around the corner. We had a great time in this place and highly recommend it.
This place went above and beyond our expectations! Amazing weekend with 15 guys celebrating a bachelor party. The house was exactly as described and all of the couches pull out into beds as well. Rod was a great host and was able to accommodate us in every way possible. He was a great resource for info about the city and nightlife. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great experience at the house, which was exactly how Rod described. Lots of space, and a very central location. Would definitely stay there again.

Will's place looks EXACTLY like the pictures. It's super clean and organized! Not to mention very stylish. It was an amazing place to stay in! He was super friendly and gave us great advice about the surrounding areas. We would definitely love to stay here again when we return to Montreal. Amazing in general.
Will is the greatest host there ever was! We felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived, and truly loved our Montreal experience with many thanks to Will's hospitality and beautiful apartment. It's as spotless in real life as it is in pictures, but still cozy :) The bed/sheets were incredibly comfortable, and there is even a walk in closet and plenty of space so you don't feel crowded in the least bit. It's in a great location, easy to get around the city... it was exactly what we needed/wanted for the weekend. Will took the time to give us directions to his favorite places, make recommendations of how to spend our time, etc. We of course followed them all and certainly didn't regret it! You certainly won't be disappointed in your stay here, top notch! THANK YOU WILL!
We have stayed two nights at Will's home and it was absolutely amazing. The apartment was very beautiful and Will and his partner Mark were incredibly nice and always super helpful! It is located right in the city center and with that comes one downside: the number of homeless people and addicts is comparatively high. However, we never felt threatened. We highly recommend this AirBnB.
We had a wonderful stay at Will's place. Great location and easy to get to.
Will is a great host, very kind and helpful. His house is beautiful, clean, spacious. It has a very good location near to the supermarket, pharmacy, subway, restaurants and shops.
Will was truly a hospitable and welcoming host. We had a great time staying in his lovely home, which was just as described. It was conveniently around many places to eat, and right by the subway station too. Thank you so much again!

It was a pleasure staying at Will's flat. The accommodation is very clean and close by the metro. Will is a wonderful host who gives you lots of suggestions what to do in this great City. We had a great time there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!

Everything was great, very clean and well organized place with plenty of room. Evgeny was very responsive and helped within minutes for every question and issue that came up. Thanks!!
This listing has plenty of space for a large group to stretch out and relax. We had a group of 10 and everyone could have a bed to themselves. The pool table and fooseball tables were a great additition. The location doesn't have much to walk around to, but it was a quick drive to downtown and the bus stop was a short walk away. Overall, I would recommend this place for larger groups. What a great value!
very clean and spacious.we enjoyed our stay. it fit 8 people very well.
We stayed here with a large group of 11 guys and we all had more than enough space. The house is really clean and well maintained and has everything you would need to keep busy (pool table, foosball, Xbox, TV, chess, and poker set). The house also has a great back covered deck which was great for hanging out outside or playing poker with the whole group. Like others have said there is a highway in the back and the neighborhood is far from the city (20 min Uber ride) but the ride isn't bad and you can't hear the highway at all as it is elevated (and we spent a lot of time outside on the back deck). I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to visit the beautiful city of Montreal. This was my first time using AirBnB and could not have asked for a nicer and better host than Evgeny. He was quick to answer all questions (and I had a lot). Thank you again for a great stay Evgeny!
Big beautiful place, great host. Just as described
Place was amazing, host was amazing!
Evgeny made us feel very welcome. The place was very spacious and easy to find. We had and excellent stay.
This house was fantastic! Very clean and plenty of rooms to stay if you are staying with a large family. All the appliances were new and the living space had a nice large tv. We also enjoyed the quiet patio out back that led into the grassy backyard. There is a nice little cafe just walking distance from the house that we had breakfast at almost every morning and the at water market was only a little more than a mile away. The owner of the home was great and was quick to respond when we had any questions before and during our stay. We would definitely recommend this home if you are planning to visit Montreal.

We had a great weekend, and our stay in Old Port made it even better. Thank you so much for the awesome service and the opportunity to stay in your beautiful apartment. Everything was as expected, and we would definitely opt to stay here again on our next trip up to Montreal.
Ratha's place is awesome! From start to finish, my husband, kids, and myself had a great time in Montreal! We explored as much as we could in 5 days and wished we had more time! Ratha was always accessible for information and his condo is lovely! Plenty of space and beds with fresh, clean linens. The bathrooms are clean and stocked with whatever you need including cute little guest baskets with bath products. The condo is decorated beautifully with a modern flare. The location is right in the center of Old Port and walking distance from Notre-Dame Basilica. We parked the car in a lot close by and walked all week. The condo is only a five minute walk from Place D'Armes metro. So much fun! We didn't want to leave! Looking forward to our next adventure with Airbnb!
We had a great weekend in Montreal. Ratha and Kelly were wonderful hosts. They met us at a check in time that worked best for us, provided us with some tips on restaurants and left little touches in the condo that made us feel welcomed. The condo itself is beautiful and couldn't be in a better location. We walked almost everywhere and there are so many pubs and sights to see just steps outside the front door. -Notre Dame, Saint Catherine St-we even walked back from Mount Royal to the condo. Having 3 Brasseurs next door was a great spot for us! We would definitely return here for another stay. Thank you Ratha and Kelly!
We had a great time in Montreal, and it started with this condo. Its in the heart of Old Montreal and in walking distance to many sights. Ratha was so responsive to all my questions and requests. They allowed us to drop off our many bags before check in on the day we got there and did give us a little extra time at check out as well. And we needed a travel crib...they had it waiting for us! The condo was very clean and very well appointed. There was plenty of high quality bedding and the beds were all comfortable. And plenty of towels as well! It was lovely! The only thing that was a surprise was that the first floor is not air conditioned and it got pretty hot the days we were there. They did have fans and they helped. The upstairs was cool and comfortable!
We visited Montreal to celebrate an anniversary and stayed in this condo for 3 nights. The condo is bright, comfortable, and attractive, nicely decorated, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It was surprisingly quiet and peaceful for being in a very central and convenient location. We were impressed by the detail with which the condo was appointed with a comfortable bed and furnishings, and a fully stocked kitchen. We would have enjoyed cooking some of the great food we saw at Marché Jean-Talon if we had stayed longer! There was also a lot of helpful information about the subway, local restaurants, parking etc, provided and Ratha and Kelly were very responsive and communicative. Really, they were simply great hosts, very thoughtful and helpful. We had a great visit and are already looking forward to a return trip in the near future.
Amazing place. This condo steps out into the centre of it all. The best bnb we've ever stayed in.
Ratha met us (my wife and I, and our four kids, ages 9-13) at the condo, which is smack in the middle of the Old Port, upon our arrival in town. In fact, we arrived early so that we could get to a soccer match at the Olympic Stadium, and Ratha allowed us to get checked in early to drop our luggage in the condo, give us the keys, show us the rooms, etc. He and I communicated several times leading up to the visit regarding train schedules, etc. This personal touch was better than anything you could get from simple internet searches. He was an excellent host. The condo was as advertised. It is beautiful, charming, clean, and very nicely decorated. Plenty of sleeping space and extra bedding. The A/C upstairs was a life-saver as it was close to 90-degrees outside during our visit. There were one or two additional fans as well. The condo has everything you could need -- shiny new washer/dryer, lots of supplies for the bathroom, Netflix, etc. We did not use any, but the kitchen appeared to be well-stocked with staples. Ratha has lots of information for tourists scattered about the condo (train schedules, restaurants, running routes, etc.). No parking with the condo, but we parked less than two blocks away in a large hotel lot for $20/day. I think there were a couple of slightly cheaper lots ($15-18/day) nearby as well, but they are outdoors. This was our first trip to Montreal. We only stayed for a couple of nights, but we really enjoyed ourselves. The area (Old Port) is charming and fun, with lots of restaurants, shops, people-watching, and energy, close to metro and train stations, waterfront activities, museums, Cirque Du Soleil, science museum, historic buildings, etc. If we return to Montreal, we would stay here again without reservation.
Excellent time in Montreal at Ratha and Kelly's place! Cute, clean and in a great location. Ratha was very accommodating and we definitely plan on staying again next time we are in the city.

Great condo. Looks even better than the photos. Very clean and open space..and private parking below the building :)
The apartment it's very nice, beautiful and very quiet if you are looking for peace nights. Very well located as well. We didn't meet Roger but he left the instructions and was easy to access the apartment.
Checkin instructions were very easy to follow. Condo was super clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and clean. Roger provided lots of extras you wouldn't get at a hotel. He responded quickly to all my inquirers. We hope to use Rogers condo again.
Roger's condo was very clean and well kept. The neighborhood is friendly, and quite central. Very quick walk to the metro station. Various grocery shops around if you need to pick up last minute items. Roger was very responsive if we had any questions or concerns. Good Host. Good place!
Roger was a great host and his condo was very well appointed. Check in was simple and fast - and the amenities of the apartment were refreshing. The neighborhood is quiet enough to relax and a short walk away is one of the pockets of nightlife. Thank You Roger.
Roger was a wonderful host, he provided us with ample help during our stay. The apartment is amazing, very comfortable and great location, easy access to downtown and all parts of Montreal. Overall great stay and I would recommend this place!

I have lived in Old Montreal for 30 years and am probably it s oldest resident in terms of years. I know the area like no one else. I am very happy to share my love for one of the oldest neighbourhoods in North America. I do travel often but am always available to direct you to interesting options to help you enjoy your vacation. One of the Oldest neighbourhoods in North America. Where Canadian Banking, Trading, Printing, Transportation, and Nation were conceived. Montreal was an American city for 7 months from November 1775 to May 1776 (the yankee occupation) when Benjamin Franklin concluded it would be easier to buy the province of Lower Canada than to conquer it. The Chateau Ramsey (1705) (around the corner and left on Notre Dame street) was home to the American parliament during the war for independence and briefly of American Generals Richard Montgomery and Benedict Arnold and American diplomat Benjamin Franklin, sent to convince the French Canadians to join the rebellion against England, during the brief Yankee occupation of Montreal during the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin set up the first printing press in Canada when he was here. Fleury Mesplet was sent here by Franklin to print pro revolutionary propaganda meant to convince francophones to join the cause of the United Colonies. He found lodging in a tavern and set up his printing press in a building on rue Capitale (a lane running from St-Sulpice to St-François-Xavier, South of St. Paul street, north of de la Commune street). There used to be a plaque in the lane that for some reason is no longer there! Fleury did not leave with the revolutionaries and ended up founding the Montreal Gazette, it is still printed today, pick one up. The old Montreal GAZETTE building on St Jaques street now a hotel. LaPresse still have their offices on the corner of St. Laurent and St Jacques street. Le Devoir started on St. Vincent street as did the first publishing houses in Canada. Old Montreal started as a religious mission and later a fur trading post. It was founded by the Sulpician order from France. They built a copy of Notre Dame Church in Paris on Notre Dame street. I have been to both and can tell you that our interior is much more impressive. Montreal was home to many Blacksmiths in the early days as to produce metal instruments to trade with the natives for fur. The furs were traded around present day Place Royale and the lanes to the east and west of the square. Samuel de Champlain founded Ville Marie in 1642 at Pointe De Caliere where a small stream met the river, today where Pointe a Callier museum sits. A statue to him sits in front of Notre Dame church on Place D Armes in the middle of a modern version of Place D Armes which used to be a Victorian Park. In front of Chateau Ramsey sits Montreal City hall (1872) a smaller version of Paris City hall and the first in Canada to be built solely for Municipal governance. In front of City Hall stands (Horatio) Nelson s Column(1809) on Place Jacques Cartier predates Nelson s column in trafalgar square In London England (1843). Across the street you will see bonsecours Market which was the parliament of Canada for a brief time. Also Notre Dame de Bonsecours Church founded by Marguerite Bourgeous. Walk out the door ,turn left and down the street from the apartment sits one of the founding fathers of Canada s residence. Sir George Etienne Cartier's residence in Montreal, at 458 Notre-Dame Street East, which is now the Sir George-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site dedicated to his life and achievements. It also serves to recall the architectural heritage and lifestyles of the upper middle class of 19th century Montreal. He helped found Canada along with Sir John A. Mcdonald, The CP railroad, The civil code (still used today), Grand Trunk Railroad (Old Head Office on Mcgill street), and have British Columbia join confederation, Creating the Province of Manitoba, Negotiating the purchase of Rupert s land and The Northwest Territories. You are in his neighbourhood, along with Jacques Viger, Joseph Papineau, Renee Levesque, Pauline Marois, to name a few. Canada s wall street (St Jacques street formerly St James street) where all the first head offices of Canadian banks were opened. the first on Place D Armes the Bank of Montreal (1847) Pantheon like building. Open a bank account at this branch, the transit number is 0001 as it was the first bank in Canada! The birthplace of Canadian banking on 113 St. Paul street east, where you will find a plaque commemorating the site of the first Bank of Montreal and the birthplace of Canadian banking. Still with me? This is only minutes from the apartment...get the picture? Well Old Montreal today is a lot like Old Montreal of yesterday. Politics, cafes, culture, Social events and life. The Old Port hosts the Igloofest in February which is a four weekend Techno party outside in the winter weather with ten thousand Vintage ski suit clad partiers dancing to the finest techno on the planet. I know un imaginable you should see the look of disbelief on the artists faces when they see the scene before them. Montreal's Cirque du Soleil World Premieres all it s new shows in May every year here in the Old Port. We are home to the best nightclubs in the city along with lively bars and Parisian style outdoor cafe s and yes some tourist traps that are not so bad. We are home to some of the best chef s in the country concocting their wizardry in the most antique and unique of settings. There is an impressive list of Art galleries starting around the corner on Bonsecours street and rounding onto Rue St. Paul all the way to Mcgill street an impressive display of Art in the windows of these galleries as we walk along this Art gallery route. Old Montreal In very recent years it has been developed in some cases the right way in other cases for pure greed. It started to be torn down until Mayor Jean Drapeau ( there is a statue of him in a park in front of city hall) protected it. A fight that carries on today! Unfortunately over the years dull minded individuals have not respected it when trying to make a profit. Luckily much of it is intact and a well kept secret I would like to share with you. Stay away from the overpriced hotels here as their greed is destroying the first Cold Storage facility and super market in Montreal the Gunn Langlois dry goods and cold storage market between St. Vincent street and Place Jacques Cartier. Don t encourage them please, they are destroying my neighbourhood. A nine story blemish in our old neighborhood completely against the zoning laws, and our protected heritage. Other s like the Gault Hotel on ste Helene street which is housed in North America s first YMCA, did a commendable job of restoring a heritage building. Ste Helene street is the only street in Montreal to have gas lanterns of yesteryear a little known fact. I invite you to visit, daydream, fantasize about the past, live for the present in my neighbourhood which I dearly cherish. Stay in the shadow of the Angels guarding our port atop the Notre Dame de Bonsecours church sandwiched between art Galleries, Celebrity chef s, founders of nations, Parliaments of nations, on the step to the gateway to the New World! There is a bixi stand right near the flat where you can rent bicycles by the hour and drop them off in other parts of the city. We are right next to the bike path that connects the city and continues along the Old Port and Lachine Canal. There are a metro and bus stops close by. St. Paul street pedestrian walkway is 1 block from the apartment. Take a water taxi across the street in the Old Port to St Helen s Island. Great outdoor patio very rare in Old Montreal!read more
Nelson greeted our arrival and helped carry our numerous bags up one flight of stairs. He was extremely informative spending much time suggesting possible places to visit and how to access them. During a wet period he messaged to ensure we had enough activities to enjoy our stay. The apartment was very comfortable and remained snug during dropping temps and rain. It is fabulous to be able to walk out the front door and be in the centre of old Montreal. Despite a myriad of restaurants at our doorstep we chose to eat in every night having been on the road for many weeks. While the kitchen is small we managed a lovely meal each night. And the washing machine and dryer were fabulous for four women travelling together. So thanks Nelson for your role in ensuring a great Montreal experience
The space is in an excellent location. I would book again for this reason alone. The apartment is a little dated and could use a little love. That being said we had enjoyable experience. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the amenities that Nelson left for us. I would stay here again.
The stay at Nelson's was first class in every respect and exceeded the descriptions given. Nelson's attention to detail in preparing the apartment was much appreciated and when we met him he was very helpful in explaining things to do in and around Montreal. The location is one of the best in Montreal in a very vibrant area with many good places to eat, and things to do
Great location, great space and good snacks in the fridge! Thanks you.
Although we never connected with Nelson, we were met at the apartment by a friendly face who introduced us to our "home away from home". It was exactly as we had imagined it it be; walking distance to everything we needed and wanted to see! Thanks Nelson for setting up that extra bedframe...we would have been fine but it was more comfortable with the frame! Will definitely recommend this apartment! The lovely, little terrace was a great place for a bit of relaxing between walking tours! Diane
The photos are an accurate representation of the apartment. We arrived a little earlier than expected, but Nelson accommodated us by doing a thorough cleaning of the place while we waited. He also told us about great restaurants and other places to go in Montreal, which was nice to know. The apartment has two full washrooms — a huge bonus for us since we came as a group of 3. It also has a fireplace, and since we stayed in the winter, it made our stay extra cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to make a full meal, but of course we never cooked because of the many restaurants just steps away from the place. If you want to stay in the heart of old Montreal, near the waterfront, this is PERFECT!
Great location right in the heart of old Montreal!! Very well kept and clean with extra towels. Great touch with the extra drinks and snacks in the fridge. Perfect terrace to relax on at night!! Very accommodating with our needs as well. Highly recommended and would stay there again!!!
This was a great place to stay. We were due to arrive at 6pm however due to unforeseen circumstances this changed to 10:30pm in the afternoon, however Nelson still met us with no issues. There was a variety of maps and Nelson was more than willing to help us navigate Montreal. The place was really clean and just as expected. It was really nice waking up in the morning to look out the window and see snow (this was our first time seeing falling snow). I would definitely recommend this apartment to others.

Jing was great. The place was great. Our stay in Montreal was fantastic! The check-in instructions were clear except for one little detail (but it's a no-brainier to figure out). Jing was always quick to respond to all messages and the apartment was super clean and comfortable and just a short walk away from the main shopping area. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations.
The apartment was located in a convenient location - near to restaurant, shopping and public transport. Photos were accurate. Check-in instructions were clear and it felt like playing a game! ;) It also came fully equipped with a kitchen for junior master chefs. Recommended!
the apartment was clean, tiny and lovely with a perfect location. And the wonderful view from this apartment is which I loved most.Jing gave us a very clear instructions and answered our all questions asap. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to Montreal, also strongly recommend to everyone.
Great experience at Jing's apartment which is modern, uncluttered, super clean & beautifully decorated. Jing is also very responsive to messages. Overall A+++ experience. Thanks!!!
Excellent communications; Jing was in touch with me through emails and texts and responded to each of my questions very quickly. The place is perfectly clean and comfortable! White and clean bed sheets and towels. Everything you need for your stay!
Jing's place is absolutely gorgeous! It looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Located just steps from Rue St. Catherines, it's incredibly walkable and central. My husband and I loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again in the future.
We found Jing's home to be comfortable and welcoming - everything we could need for our 4 day stay in Montreal (including the softest, fluffiest towels we have ever seen!) The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. It was conveniently located near downtown, with easy access to shops, restaurants and Mont Royal - a great base to explore this wonderful city! Jing was helpful and friendly and responded quickly to messages. Thank you again for the hospitality! We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.
We found Jings appt to be spotless, centrally located with all facilities, was just as described and excellent value. Jing answered queries quickly and we have no hesitation reccomending her place

We had an awesome time staying at Svetlana's apartment. The beds were all set up and made for us. Everything was extremely clean, just like the photos. They were very responsive when trying to get in touch about check-in. They called to see how our trip was going and were extremely helpful. They event had bagels and orange juice for us in the fridge. The location could not have been more perfect, right by the metro and lots of restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend staying here!
The apartment was exactly as advertised; very convenient location, clean, nice space with a great view! Svetlana and her husband Karim we're very helpful and got back to us right away whenever we had an inquiry. A great place to stay in Montreal for sure!
The apartment is in a perfect downtown location right by the bars and clubs. The place was perfect size for my group of 5 friends. Svetlana's husband was very helpful to us and made sure everything was provide to us. He made sure we felt comfortable at their place. Plus, the pool is awesome with a great view.
Svetlana was easy to communicate with, the location is great. Parking was a little tight, but definitely manageable. If I come back to Montreal, I would definitely return to her apartment.
Our flight arrived after midnight and our host was great about accommodating our extremely late check-in. She was available for all questions and provided detailed instructions. Parking is provided; However, it is very narrow and if you rent a car make sure its a small one but after awhile parking gets easier. Once in the garage you have 2 options 1 door is a staircase the other you will find a lift to the apartment. Once we arrived to the apartment it was spacious and very clean. The bedroom and wash room were stocked with fresh linens. The kitchen had all basic essentials such as general appliances, plates, silverware etc... The host also provided beverages, bagels and breakfast muffins as a welcome gift. The apartment is conveniently located near markets, shops, restaurants or just nightlife. Overall experience was fantastic!
Apartment was true to pictures and very comfortable. Hosts were great and provided plenty of towels, pillows, blankets etc. location is perfect with lots of restaurants nearby. Met both Svetlana and her husband on day of departure: very friendly and engaging. Will definitely consider staying there again. Only possible negative is very poorly engineered underground parking...the smaller your car, the easiest this will be on your nerves
Svetlana's place was everything we were looking for on our trip to Montreal! It is very centrally located (literally less than a 5 minute walk to a metro stop), is spacious, and is a great place to stay when visiting Montreal! It is within walking distance to all the popular spots that we wanted to go to. We would love to stay there again if we came back!
Svetlana's apartment was lovely. The location was perfect for me - walking distance to lots of restaurants etc, and the metro was close. I appreciated Svetlana's hospitality and care. Would definitely revisit this apartment if I come back to Montreal.

The apartment looked just like it did in the pictures. It was immaculate! We had everything we needed for the week. Also, someone was there to drop off the keys right after I texted Jing, which was fantastic.
It is a really nice apartment and we had a pleasant communication! the apartment is exactly like the pictures and close to everything. there was even the chance to park the car in the garage and the price for it was reasonable. there a just a few things: the rack in the main bathroom was wobbly, some sockets did not work and we had to look for the towels (there were in the dryer). but that shout not stop you to book the apartment. if you need an accommodation in montreal, the apartment is a good choice!
This 3 bedroom condo was even more beautiful than I had thought. High end décor and fabulous location make this condo a great choice for time spent in Montreal. This condo building is located right downtown with minutes walk to St. Catherine street and all the shopping you could want. My 2 teenaged kids and my husband were super comfortable in this air condition unit with a balcony and beautiful kitchen. Jing was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. Two metro stations within a 5 minute walk. Laundry room in the unit and parking under the building for a mere $15/day, a great price in downtown Montreal. Be careful though, very low ceilings in the parking, do not go there with a van, truck or SUV.
Very clean and contemporary looking place - exactly like the pictures. Great location. Jing is very fast at replying to messages. Didn't have any issues. Would return and recommend this to anyone.
My family and I had a great stay in Montreal. The apartment was very nice and clean with good attention to detail (wifi login info, plenty of clean towels, lots of kitchen utensils, dishwasher soap, etc.), and not far from restaurants and shopping. I never actually met Jing but she responded quickly to my messages. Her friend met us promptly upon our arrival to give us the keys and show us the apartment. We noticed that the smoke detector had a low battery and was beeping; when I emailed Jing, she quickly sent someone over to fix it (on a Sunday evening). The neighbors were quiet, and I hope my two young children didn't bother them too much!
Jing is a very responsive host. We emailed several times leading up to and during our stay, and she always responded promptly. Her instructions to get the key and parking were clear and helpful. The apartment is a great place to stay -- clean and was a good size for our family of four. The location is within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, museums, and McGill University.
Jing's place was great for the 2 nights we stayed in Montreal. The location was convenient and very walkable to shopping, restaurants and the Bell Centre. He was always available when we needed him or had questions.
Fantastic host and a beautiful place. Was extremely accommodating and easily reachable!

Great house. Great host. Plenty of space and very clean. We walked to most destination or quickly caught a cab on St. Laurent a few blocks away.
Diane and her place were absolutely perfect. I traveled up to Montreal with a group of 8 guys for a bachelor party and it was great having a house that we could hang out in. We each had our own beds & each bedroom even had its own set of keys which was a great feature. The common areas were also great, including a large round table in the living room we could hang out around. Everything was clean and nicely updated. The front & back balconies also got a lot of use as the weather was great. The area around Diane's place could not have been better either. There is an awesome coffee shop directly across the street that we visited a few times each day. Also, the place is only blocks from Boulevard Saint-Laurent where there are lots of fun restaurants, bars & clubs. Once we arrived at her place Thursday, we never had to drive again until we left on Sunday. I could not recommend Diane & her place more!
Myself and 5 of my good buddies travel to Montreal every year to watch Formula 1. We have stayed in everything from hotels to apartments. Diane's place was just perfect for our group. AWESOME location. Plenty of beds for everybody, kitchen with everything you need, and a beautiful rooftop patio. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would rent it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Diane for everything!
Diane was a very warm and welcoming host, and we absolutely loved staying in her beautiful home. There ended up being just 6 of us, even though we had rented the place for 8, so there was more than enough room for all to stay comfortably. The apartment is very close to many of the city's interesting streets and sights - Rue St. Denis, St. Catherine, St. Laurent, Parc Mont Royal, and about a 20 minute walk to Old Montreal and the Port. We thoroughly enjoyed the roof deck, as well as the smaller porch in the front which is nice for two or three people to sip a beverage and gaze at the street below. We also made use of the kitchen, which was well stocked with all appliances and utensils that we needed. I wish we had used the grill! But, there wasn't much time as we were only staying for three nights. The house was very clean and well kept, and there were multiple keys so everyone had their own set. I would definitely recommend staying here, and the next time we're in Montreal this will be my first choice for accommodations. Merci, Diane!
Diane was a gracious host easy to contact and delightful to coordinate with. The house was very functional, in a good location. I really liked how easy it was to use the home - we had keys in each door for all guest, had wifi and a land line - just things that make life easier when traveling. And, added bonus, the home has a really nice aesthetic. Plenty of art to enjoy. Thanks for a great weekend!
We had such a great time at Diane's house. Everything was perfect for a big group of young professional women celebrating a friend's wedding. The house was in a great location - we could walk to Old Montreal in about 20 min, take bikeshare everywhere, or walk to the metro. (It was beautiful, so we walked everywhere!) There was a store right around the corner that sold everything we needed (wine, toilet paper, etc.) as well as a very cute coffee shop and a great restaurant (Deux Gamins) for our group. Grocery stores were really close, also, as well as fun bars. As others have said, the house was amply stocked with large towels, multiple keys for multiple guests, glasses, etc. The porch was beautiful for drinks and snacks, and the main dining room easily sat all of us. Parking in Montreal is challenging but Diane helped us find a public lot right around the corner for $10 per day - very cheap for city parking! Diane herself was lovely, extremely responsive - she even called one of us a cab to get to the airport - and it was just an all-around great experience. This is the perfect place for a group, large or small.
Is a nice place, good for a group of people spend their weekend for. the house is close to everyplace is very convenient. Diane is a nice lady, give us some good suggestions about where to visit~
Stayed for a long weekend and rented both levels of the house. Diane was there to greet us - very friendly, welcoming and relaxed. Beautiful house, centrally located, and nice neighborhood. Would definitely recommend and stay again, especially with a group. Very responsive communication throughout.

I had a wonderful time with Kim and Will in their gem of an apartment. They were extremely hospitable even inviting me out with their friends on the weekend. Kim and Will and the other people I met in Montreal were inviting, friendly and a great great laugh. Made some friends :)
Kim and Will were wonderful, welcoming hosts! Their house is beautiful and we would not hesitate to return next time we visit Montreal :)
Kim and Will are fantastic hosts. Both are very accommodating, quick with their replies, give all information needed before booking and are a joy to be around. Their place is just as seen in the photos. Very clean and spacious (they are kind enough to provide us with towels for the stay). Steps from two metro stations and restaurants as well as a market. Doesn't take long to get around the city from their apartment. I recommend booking with them if you are looking to visit Montreal, you won't have any regrets!
Great space, super easygoing hosts, close to everything you need, freedom of entry/exit
Kim and Will were splendid hosts, and their home is gorgeous and inviting. Kim was very accommodating with my arrival time and I felt welcome and at home straight away. I really appreciated that they provided a map of the nearby area with various dining and other options noted. The only downside of my trip was not being able to spend more time getting to know these lovely hosts. :)
Kim and Will were probably the best AirBNB hosts we have ever had. We truly felt welcome in their home, and it felt more like staying with friends than somewhere random. They had great recommendations for food/drinks/activities in the area, and they even spent a lot of their time talking to us about their neighborhood, their jobs, and anything we felt like talking about. Their dogs are absolutely adorable and a total treat. Additionally, all of the decor was unique and creative, and we will probably steal ideas for our own house. We would love to return and stay with Kim and Will again anytime! (Oh, and Kim even loaned us HER umbrella during a rainstorm so we wouldn't have to buy one. That was incredibly sweet of her!) They're very interesting, kind people, and you won't regret staying with them!
Best Airbnb experience hands down. I felt like I was staying with friends. Kim and Will are the kindest and most fun people, and they made my stay in Montreal feel so personalized and comfortable. Additionally, the apartment is BEAUTIFUL, and it is very close to two metro stations (AND the bus that goes to and from the airport). There are also great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops just up the street. Finally, you will definitely fall in love with their adorable (and non-shedding!) dogs :)
My friend Jennifer had a very lovely stay at your place. Thank you very much for taking care of her. Communication with You was superb! My friend had the perfect stay and she said you have a beautiful place! Highly recommended! When I come visit, I will definitely book your place again.

A pleasure as usual.
Awesome place, very clean apartment, with all necessary amenities and even some little extras provided by Andrei, ideal downtown location, walking distance from everything. Excellent communication with Andrei from day 1. Spent 2 days there, and I highly recommend this place.
The place was so great, it was exactly as detailed. I particularly liked the location of the apartment, it made everything so much more convenient. We were RIGHT in the heart of MTL's downtown area. Bottom line : we are definitely going to contact Andrei again in the near future.
Andrei was a great host! He was hospitable and knowledgeable. His place was clean, comfortable and in a prime location- we will be back!
Andrei is the perfect host! The apartment was: clean, modern, lots of extras, great view and location. Close to subway and car rental is in the next building which made it very easy to travel mon treal plus surrounding areas. Highly recommend this place!! Merci Andrei!!
Our stay in Montreal was amazing! The pictures of Andrei's apartment don't lie - it was exactly what we expected! Clean, bright, comfortable not to mention the perfect location! Andrei was a great host - and spent time explaining Montreal and mapping out what to see, where to go and how to use the subway! We would definitely stay here again, and will be recommending it to our friends and family! Adriana & Ross Stouffville ON
very nice appartement, so confortable and clean. All comodities are near. I never see Andrei but he answer quicly on the website. For me is the place to be of you want have a romantic trip.
Andrei immediately responded to my questions before we booked, which made me feel quite comfortable about booking. The apt is in a good location, close to two metro lines, so we parked the car in the garage downstairs ($10/day, not bad) and the city was ours to explore. It's a small, clean and cozy place that had everything we needed and then some! Flawless transaction...we'd like to return when all the ice melts!

The apartment was really special. The layout of the loft was exactly as presented. Everything was clean, organized and welcoming. It was very relaxing to come home to after touring the city, and we would definitely return! (The place gets very bright in the morning, even with the curtains closed. But that's part of why we liked the place. It was very cozy.)
The loft was even more beautiful in real life. Francois was an amazing host! Very accommodating.
The loft looks EXACTLY like the photos. It was clean and spacious and airy. The location is absolutely perfect - to get to the port or the Notre Dame Basilica is all just a few steps away. I stayed there when it was a bit chilly outside, so I used cabs and Ubers a lot and everything I ever wanted was only 10-15 minutes away, maximum. The perfect spot to access beautiful sights, amazing food, and memories I am truly grateful for. Francois was a wonderful host. When I originally sent a request for the loft, he got back to me immediately. Since then, he has been very easy to reach if I had any questions. When I come back to Montreal in the future, I will be reaching out to Francois again for sure.
What a wonderful stay! Communication with Francois was immediate and helpful. The loft is in a great location and is absolutely stunning. The light in the room is breathtaking and it made for an enjoyable home for our trip. I would absolutely stay in this home if i ever came back!
A very stylish and spacious loft in one of the best locations in Montréal. François was easy to work with and the check-in and out process was efficient and stress free. Well recommended.
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful space in a perfect location and was very warm inside despite the big beautiful windows and cold weather. Would definitely come back again.
This is where you would want to stay in old Montreal. The loft is spectacular! Minutes walking distance from Notre Dame, galleries, restaurants and shops! Definition worth the money! Francois was an awesome host
Francois was a great host. He responded quickly and was very helpful. The wifi worked perfectly. the decoration was amazing and comfortable. The location was everything i expected and more. Located in the old port, where you are in walking distance of everything. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great time in montreal.

During the day, after waking up and walking to get some crave-worthy espresso from the surrounding cafés, you can walk through Chinatown to the Old Port (a.k.a. Also a 15 minute walk or short taxi ride is Crescent street, noted for tourist bars, local shops and stunning high-rise buildings. Also a short taxi ride away is little Italy, which hosts fairs in the summer time and provides authentic Italian food which locals go out of their way to experience. During the day: I would suggest getting a smoked meat at world famous Shwartz's (up the street). In the evening: I suggest Moishes (up the street). Moishes is very well known in Montreal and has a great late-night reduced price menu. Late-night snack: I would highly suggest getting a "poutine" from Frites-Alors right next door to our place after a night of drinking. The listing description was very accurate, was even bigger than I expected when we got there. The host made us feel very welcome, lauren was great to work with! I loved the location of the loft and the openness of it. Great for a girls weekend!
My friends and I stayed at Lauren's place from June 9th through June 13th. We arrived to find the space as advertised. It was clean and comfortably housed the 6 others that were with me for the weekend. Lauren provided a welcome handbook showcasing the attractions and restaurants nearby. That was a great help. Also we were surprised to find that Lauren had provided refreshments when we opened the fridge. I would highly recommend this to all visiting Montreal. The space is as advertised and close to the metro and easily accessible to many attractions. Thanks Lauren! We really appreciated your hospitality!
Lauren's loft was spectacular, honestly... I was amazed when I walked up the two flights of steps and entered such an open and tastefully done place. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the showers and jacuzzi tub were relaxing, the terrace, grill, air conditioner and everything worked well and was more than I could have asked for. Lauren was sweet and responsive- even meeting us on the day of check out per my request! The location is great, though we could have taken the train to save on time, my group and I did a lot of walking. I would say it's about a 25 minute walk to Old Port and the other major areas. The neighborhood is safe despite the look of some buildings and a few homeless around- which is what you'll see in any big city really. I would definitely rent from this place again, I had a small group of 4 so it was almost too big!
The loft was everything we had hoped for. Clean, spacious, well equipped, and a great location (only a few blocks from the jazz festival and other key spots on our itinerary). Lauren was very pleasant to deal with. I will definitely look to book this place again next time I am in Montreal.
It's hard to beat the loft and location. As two couples we had lots of space to spread out and to share, along with our four road bikes for the Tour de l'Isle. The third floor view is great and the rooms are full of light. The weekend was a great success. The loft is just as advertised and our hosts, Antonie and Lauren were very accomodating and fast getting back to us when we had a question. The only thing to make the loft a perfect place would be a few more items in the kitchen for people like us who like to prepare breakfast!
Stayed with boyfriend and parents. The apartment was fantastic! Exactly as sold if not better! Very clean. Comfy beds. Love the plateau neighbourhood and, despite being in a busy area, the apartment was very quiet for sleeping. Lauren made us feel welcome and provided easily accessible info on the WiFi, TV, relevant phone contacts and interesting restaurants. We would very highly recommend!!
This loft is fantastic! Spacious, bright, and immaculate! Just as gorgeous as it is shown in the pictures. Maybe even more so! It was the perfect place for my friend's bachelorette weekend! There was plenty of room for the six of us. The location was great! Lots of restaurants, bars, and clubs to choose from and all within walking distance. Lauren was a wonderful host! She was always readily available to answer any questions I had prior to the trip. She also left a guide to the city that was very helpful! I would recommend this loft to anyone interested, and would definitely stay here again! This was my first experience with Airbnb and it was definitely a success!
Everything was PERFECT. This place is a lot bigger than seen in pictures. It was clean, spacious and modern looking. We had a weekend getaway with the boys and it was the ideal size! I had no issues following instructions to get the keys and find parking as the host recommended. The host was also very responsive to any questions we had about the neighborhood which was great! I will 100% be booking this place the next time I am in Montreal...110%

On a secluded alley like street, only meters from iconic Park Lafontaine in the Heart of trendy Plateau Mont-Royal (Parking included). This is it ! In the heart of the Plateau on a quiet alley like street, only meters from Park Lafontaine, Montreal’s Central Park – ok, it’s not as big, but we’re a smaller city. Although you don’t have a view of the Park, the advantage is that you are on a quiet street; technically it’s a street but functions more like an alley. (The Streetview version is inserted by Airbnb and not the host - the shot you see is actually nearby and not a view from the apt.) The apartment is a first floor 500 square foot loft style open space apartment, ideal for two. It was completely renovated in 2007 and upgraded in nov 2013. I have lived in the neighbourhood for over 25 years and have seen its evolution over the years, I actually live next door. The floors are hardwood and marble – new furnishings and fully stocked kitchen. (New added feature: expresso/cappuccino machine, and I don't mean the capsule type). You are 4 minutes away from the trendy restaurants and boutiques on Mount-Royal Avenue and a 18 minute walk to iconic St Denis Street – outdoor cafés and boutiques. There is a Bixi communal bike service (april - nov) 2 minute walk –the bike lane is on Rachel, the neighbouring Street. Velo Québec is 2 blocks away – for bike enthusiasts. The Metro (subway) is short distance (15 min) on Mount-Royal or if you prefer a longer route, you can walk through the park and catch the Sherbrooke St Station (18 min). Although Montreal hosts a series of outdoor festivals in the summer, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Francopholies in the downtown area ( 50 minute walk) - all the amenities you need are available on Mount Royal Avenue – restos , bars, liquor store, boutiques - the beer store, what we call Le Dépanneur is a minute away… Reserved Private Parking, in front of the studio, is included in the rental (unfortunately, only until June 30, 2017 - lease is not renewed) Free reserved parking till June 30 2017. Very vibrant If your driving or coming by cab remember that Bureau is just behind (north of) Rachel - approx 50 ft - since Bureau St is not a major street, it is common for taxi drivers not knowing it - important focal point would be Rachel and Garnier or Rachel and Fabre, in front of Park Lafontaine.read more
Fantastic stay at the studio! Perfect location and really convenient with parking. Joseph was great and so hospitable during our stay. Definitely recommend!
We were made to feel very welcome as Joseph was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. It was a nice touch to be provided with complimentary beers and juice! The photos didn't do the place justice. Enjoyed our stay
A pretty good and warm welcome ! Joseph is a nice person , he gave us a lot of advices. The appartment is quite big, confortable and central located. I just can suggest you to spend your holiday in Montreal, in this appartment.
We had perfect stay in Montreal! Joseph welcomed us and gave us useful tips. The apartement was very clean and has a very good location! I absolutely recommend Joseph and his accommodation!
My stay at Joseph's place was very nice. The apartment feels very spacious, is wonderfully quiet, and a short walk away from all the activities on Mont Royal. Joseph is a very attentive host, I had a bit of trouble with the key at first and he fixed it right away. There was complimentary water, oj, and a nice bottle of wine in the fridge when I got there, and everything about the apartment was easy and simple. The parking was also very convenient and easy, a must for me as I had my car, and once parked, did not have to move the car, or continually search for an empty space. I highly recommend, esp if you have a car, and need quiet.
This is an outstanding apartment for one or two people in an excellent location in Montreal's Le Plateau area. It's perfectly clean, stylish, including surprising artwork, good books on the shelf --many thoughtful details. We plan to return and highly recommend This is it! (it is it!).
Dear Joseph, Thanks a million for the chance to stay in your apartment during our mini vacation. Everything was simply perfect. A great and warm welcome to the cold Canada (weatherwise) ;-) We had a wonderful time and everything was perfectly organised. Thanks for the beer and the instructions. We will certainly never forget our stay! We highly recommend your apartment!! Merci beaucoup! B & A
Joseph was a wonderful host, and his apartment certainly is lovely. He welcomed us with personal recommendations based on our prior emails, and had equipped the apartment with everything you could need, and more. The space is located in a fun, artsy neighborhood and looks just like the pictures! My boyfriend and I would certainky recommend this apartment to anyone looking to spend some time in MTL.

Although we did not get to meet Eva and Alex, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their lovely apartment. The beds are warm and cozy and everything we could have needed was provided: extra bedding and towels, lots of kitchen utensils and glasses, lots of backup tp, guides to the city; they've thought of everything! The place is close to everything you could possibly want to be close to. Just wish we'd gone in the summer so we could enjoy the enormous backyard! Instructions for the keys and care of the apartment were very thorough and easy to understand. Thanks to Eva and Alex we had a wonderful time during our stay in Montreal :)
Great location, clean, quit, enough amenities inside to make your own meals, and communication is fantastic.
Amazing place and great hosts. Perfect location for exploring Montreal. Would stay here again!
We had a wonderful time. I found it even more cozy than I had expected it to be. We arrived in Montreal during a snowstorm and it was so nice to open the door and instantly feel warm and at home. The main street that is open late is just steps away so it was not too long before we found a warm restaurant to sit in and enjoy a good meal (and watch the storm from inside). We LOVED the wall in the main bedroom with its original beams with so much character. We also LOVED that the Montreal bagel cafe was so nearby!.... for sure, a good place to stay
The apartment was very clean and we got a crib and a high chair
Eva and Alex's place was great to stay at, there was enough room for 4 people and it was located in a very nice spot. Having a washing machine was helpful too. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit in montreal thanks to this place!
The apartment was very cute and clean, and the location was perfect. There was street parking available right outside. My friends and I really enjoyed being within walking distance of so many wonderful restaurants and shops. Also, Eva and Alex were very responsive and helpful.
We have nothing but great things to say. We had a great stay with great communication both prior and during the stay. All felt very fresh and clean. Thanks for a great place and for being accommodating hosts!

Eva and Alex's apartment is lovely! The location is INCREDIBLE. You can easily walk to many stores and almost every major tourist site is ~5 minutes away by car. The apartment is clean and well equipped with amenities. I would highly reccomend the apartment!
The place was fantastic, the location was great, just a couple of minutes walk to Av Mont Royal with shops, bars and public transport options. Eva and Alex were excellent at communicating with us and we felt right at home. Thanks for having us!
Our stay in Montreal was excellent. House was very clean in nice neighborhood right off Mount Royal.
Didn't meet Alex and Eva but key was left and had no problems with check-in. House was nice and clean, everything as described. Would recommend.
Beautiful spot in the best location. Warm and comfortable. Thanks again!
Eva and Alex's place is terrific! It's exactly as pictured--clean and comfortable--and in a terrific location (lots of coffee places, restaurants, bars, etc. right around the corner). We appreciated the hot chocolate place a few blocks away (Cacao70) since it was so cold during our visit. We walked to McGill and Mount Royal (and probably could have walked to the Old Port, but it was a bit too cold). We arrived on Sunday evening and had no trouble finding a spot on the street right in front of the house. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Montreal.
The apartment was perfect! It was in a great location, clean, comfortable, and they had the most amazing book collection. We didn't meet, as we arrived late but they made the check in/out process super simple. I'll definitely check with them for future Montreal trips!
Hip Plateau is amazing! We travelled as a young couple with our parents visiting from Australia (4 people altogether). Eva and Alex's place gave us the space that we needed to spend our downtime after going out and about in Montreal. The kitchen is fully equipped to make homemade meals. You can't beat the location! Restaurants and cafes are literally metres from your place on Rue Mont Royal. We particularly loved the eclecticism of the apartment - I have inspiration for my own home decoration now. You might find yourself not seeing much on Montreal as Eva and Alex's excellent collection of books and magazines are addictive. Eva and Alex were super responsive with all of our requests and check in and out was a breeze. See you next time!

Ludovic and Sylvie were really nice host and the place is awesome like in the picture if it is not more! Easy communication with Ludovic to prepare arrival. He was here upon arrival and gave us information and advices on place where to go in Montreal. Using the balcony door is very convenient especially when coming back late in the night and it also give privacy. Room, bathroom and other common place were very clean. Place close to the subway and really safe area of Montreal. I definitively recommend this place.
Ludovic and Sylvie are such a wonderful couple! We were very lucky to stay with them. From the very first moment they made us feel welcome. The room is exactly as they described it. They made sure to give us all that we need to make our stay comfortable. They took the time to print information with the wifi password, indication of bus numbers, taxi phone numbers, a map of near by stores, etc They gave us a map of the city and they sat next to us to explain us how to get to different parts of the city. Next day they went out with us to show us around. We had a blast with them! It was a great experience! Don't miss the opportunity to host them or stay in their place, you will have a great time for sure =)
The host were excellent. I felt like home. The listing was very accurate and the neighborhood was very quite. The place was very clean and organized. Ludovic and Sylvie are very nice people. I felt from the first day like I knew them for long time. Their hospitality was excellent. Their smile was brilliant. Within few days we have become friends. We discussed many things. They were very caring, They cared about my confort. They cared about the goal of my trip to Montreal and helped me achieve the goals of that trip.
Ludovic and Sylvie have a beautiful house, easily reachable with the subway and located in a quite neighborhood. They are very nice and helpful; they were extremely patient with my bus delay and Ludovic came to pick me up at the subway station..they offer me a coffe and a homemade bread. The room is big and luminous, moreover the bed is really comfortable. Although it was for one night only, I had a perfect homestay! Thanks a lot :)
Wonderful people! Ludovic came to get me at the station even late at night, and it was only a few minutes walk to their place in a nice new building. The room was clean, roomy, well-decorated and perfect for me, with a nice bed for sleeping, and it's nice to have a private back entrance also. It's very close to Jarry Parc and the train station. I only heard the trains passing a couple of times, and it didn't wake me up or bother me at all. It's also close to good bus and subway connections to downtown Montreal. Ludovic's home=made bread should be famous in a city known for good bread. Everything was great, and I only wish I had more time to spend with these wonderful people.
Wow! Ludovic and Sylvie were great. Friendly and super helpful with showing me things to do and see in the city. They were a really flexible and laid back couple with a perfect balance of conversation and privacy. Place was as described with private entrance meaning I wasn't disruptive coming back late in the evening. Bed/couch was comfy, no problems there. Very close to shops and transport.
I reached out to Ludovic & Sylvie to host an exchange dinner for a group of French executives I was bringing to Montreal for business meetings. They graciously agreed to cook them dinner and host them for an evening of conversation.
Merci beaucoup Ludovic & Sylvie.

Parking: There is plenty of street parking on our street (Wurtele). Watch for restricted parking directly in front of the house, which is PERMIT ONLY PARKING. Other than that small section, the entire LEFT side of the street (opposite from our house) is FREE PARKING, or on the right side, outside of the permit only section. Just be sure to read the parking signs, as is true for the entire city of Montreal! Vehicle Rental: It's a 2 minute walk to a local vehicle rental (Location Jean Légaré; 3035 Rue Hochelaga). Bixi bicycle rental is one block away (seasonal). Since the bicycle stands are moved periodically, go to Montréal's Bixi website and view the map to see bicycle stand locations and real-time bicycle availability. Don't forget your swimsuit! The backyard jacuzzi hot tub is the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of wandering around the city. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow if you decide to use the spa: 1. GUESTS MUST SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING THE HOT TUB. Lotions, oils, hair products and soaps quickly pollute the water. Changing the water and cleaning the filter is a costly and time consuming chore, so please don't pollute the water. We change the water regularly and check it's condition after every guest, but please let us know if you have any questions. 2. We kindly ask that no glassware or breakables be used in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups or water bottles are fine. We do not want guests to injure themselves and future guests in any way! 3. Due to the hot tub's location underneath a staircase, we unfortunately do not have a cover lift system. Therefore removal of the hot tub cover requires a specific technique: • Facing the cement wall, lift and pull the cover towards you, away from the stairs. • Flip the left side of the cover over the right side, clearing the stairs, towards the shed. • Push the cover back towards the cement wall, flush with the tub. • You can enjoy the tub half-way open for a quick and easy soak, or you can slide the cover down to rest vertically in between the shed and the hot tub. • Replacing the cover may require a 2nd person to help lift the cover up from the side closest to the cement wall. It is easiest to lift the cover up and half-way back on while you are still standing in the hot tub. If you are unable to remove or replace the cover, please let us know right away, or if our upstairs neighbour is around, he would be happy to assist you. 4. Ensure the hot tub cover is completely closed around the entire tub after you are finished.read more
