  • Julie’s place is perfect. It is tastefully decorated, there’s a lot of attention to detail and it feels really cozy. Julie was a great host and gave us some recommendations around the area. We had an amazing stay and would recommend it to everyone!

  • Julie Ann is a wonderful host who provided us with a comfortable and peaceful stay at The Roost. The accommodation is very inviting with beautiful aesthetics. It’s spotlessly clean and Julie Ann has provided all the necessary items that you need to make your stay as easy and as comfortable as possible. We will definitely stay at her place again. We highly recommend The Roost.

  • Perfect location in small town. Close to grocery store. Super friendly hostess. Great shower. Great for single or couple travelers. Good parking as well.

    Jeff2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was warm and welcoming even though we arrived pretty late and her place is a lovely little place, with a comfy bed, lots of nice little touches and the addition of a little kitchen area made it a wonderful stay with a great night's sleep.

    Thomas2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, Julie is lovely and very knowledgable about the local area!

    James2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice little self contained unit. Julie was lovely and we had a great stay. If you're staying on a Sunday night and want to eat out, the two pubs within walking distance stop serving food around 4pm, but there are places to eat in Bedale and the wider area within a 5-10 min drive that are open Sunday evenings.

  • Great wee place. Comfortable, well equipped and easy to find.

    Iain2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here end of Jan. Anna was as welcoming as her home, what a lovely place. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. I took no time in lighting the stove which warmed the whole house up so well I didn't need the additional heaters. Location is pretty and the local pub is friendly with decent home cooked food and a short walk away. Nice walks via footpaths round the village for my dog, and not far from the Dales for more adventurous walking. I'd stay here again.

  • The Den is exactly what we wanted, a cosy, relaxing, overnight getaway. Kathryn and Trevor were very responsive and welcoming, and their attention to detail was great too (fridge and kitchen stocked with essentials, fireplace on when we arrived etc). The Den itself was very clean, a good size, well maintained and in a peaceful area with a nice local pub. Overall highly recommended, we would gladly come back and stay longer.

  • Absolutely stunning place - we booked 2 nights here and absolutely adored it so we crossed our fingers and thought we would try our luck to stay another night and to our enjoyment, we was able too. The cabin itself is lovely and warm and feels so homely. The hot tub was superb. With the crisp winter evenings it was perfect for relaxing. The best part was being able to bring our little fur babies who absolutely loved their family holiday. Would highly recommend walks in Osmotherley. 5* get away would highly recommend.

    Sian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little lodge and great that the garden and lodge was dog friendly so he could come too! A couple of issues caused by the weather but can’t help the British weather and Georgie was extremely helpful. Hot tub was fantastic!

    Jen2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were looking forward to spending a few days together for a birthday following a very busy period at work. The lodge was an excellent departure from hotels, full of character and so much better than a generic hotel room. The hot tub was excellent, and only a few feet from the door so was even usable in the depths of winter.

    Ian2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Georgie's place was perfect and very private from the rest of the caravan site with an enclosed wall surrounding the cabin, we loved the hotub and surrounding areas and it was a bonus that it is dog friendly, we took our dachshund and he loved it.

    Georgia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • Superb host who took great care to ensure we had ll we could possibly need, which was greatly appreciated after a very long journey. We arrived late evening to find a welcoming open fire, really warm house and some surprise treats. The cottage was more spacious than expected and very tastefully decorated in a style in keeping with it’s era, but with modern little twists. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend.

    Seonaid2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • From the minute we walked into Sarah's little cottage it felt like home, with a traditional farmhouse kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful conservatory into a garden with a spectacular view which has outdoor seating. Very clean and comfortable and loved all the little extra touches. A nice bar and restaurant next door, cosy village pub half a mile down road and a lovely village hall that does a cracking breakfast on a saturday morning. Great location for visiting nearby attractions or just peace and quiet.

    Malcolm2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's cottage is an absolute gem, it has real character , very tastefully furnished and with lots of thoughtful extras. The cottage is extremely well equipped. The location is a good base for exploring North Yorkshire. After days out you may either cook or choose to eat at the neighbouring pub - The Wellington Heifer which we found served very good food.

  • A clean, stylish cottage with a lovely garden. We arrived to find milk, bread, butter etc as well as wine, beer, and chocolate. Close to a pub (not noisy), so very convenient for a meal out. Host's communication was very good.

  • What a fabulous place to stay, well stocked with everything you need on a self catering holiday. Superb location only 15 minutes from Northallerton for Tesco’s and very central for everything we wanted to do. Lovely private walled garden which was perfect for the dog. The lane next to the cottage can be a little busy, but not enough to spoil the location. Would not hesitate to recommend this great little find to anyone.

The cottage is well equipped for self catering accommodation and is furnished as a farm cottage, with a light and cosy feel inside. We have spent a lot of time ensuring that there is everything you could want and need in the cottage to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable living/dining room, with a log burner and TV, a kitchen area fully equipped, and a bathroom and toilet. The double and single bedrooms are located on the first floor, with a traditionally windy cottage staircase.
The village of Newton-Le-Willows is a very friendly and quiet village. There is plenty of local eating places nearby and plenty of dales market towns to enjoy, such as Leyburn, Masham, Middleham, Bedale and Hawes, to name a few.

  • Andrew was a really lovely host, lots of thoughtful touches and the place was amazing! Really wish we could have enjoyed it for longer!

    Claire2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely one night stay as part of birthday celebration .Andrew very warmly welcomed us and showed us round the accommodation and how to work the hot tub . Andrew has everything pitched just right for guests to enjoy a one or two nights relaxing getaway - Warm clean and cosy , comfy sofa , Tv , large shower , compact kitchen area with everything provided if you wish to self cater. Beautiful bedroom space with large comfortable bed and a wonderful relaxing hot tub and the cherry on the cake was the fantastically well presented super continental breakfast that " just appears" next morning - everything seemed really well thought through from the box containing all requirements for the hot tub ( towels instructions etc) to bath robes and simple instructions left out for the appliances and little welcoming goodies - there was even an honesty box containing toiletries which we used and thought this was a fantastic idea we hadn't seen before in other places we have stayed . We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay again as we loved the hot tub and felt so relaxed and slept really well .

    Stephen2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay, we couldn’t have asked for anymore. Andrew was extremely helpful and friendly and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The cottage had everything that we needed, Andrew even goes the extra mile by adding personal touches like adding a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, crisps, sweets and milk. Everything was immaculate and just perfect. Thank you again Andrew for such a lovely stay and making my girlfriends birthday :)

    Paul2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's place was spot on, the accommodation was well kept and clean throughout, Andrew was very helpful with getting checked in quick, the accommodation has a booklet with plenty of local information for things to do, or places to go and grab some food. Would happily stay here again.

    Robert2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a wonderful 2 nights in the Annex and will certainly be returning again in the future. Everything about the annex and outside area was perfect. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was a wonderful touch that set us up for the day and Andrew was the perfect host. Andrew met us on arrival, explained everything in detail about the house and hot tub and then left us to enjoy the privacy of the Annex and hot tub. Our breakfast magically appeared each morning in the corridor which was certainly something of a novelty that we haven't experienced anywhere else. Bedale is a really nice town with a good selection of eating and drinking venues and lots of countryside surrounding it for long walks.

Bedale, Gateway to the Dales can be anything you want it to be. Take time to do the things that you like doing. Enjoy walking to pubs, coffee shops, quirky boutiques and restaurants, all on your doorstep. There is fabulous countryside to explore on foot or by bike. There is golf, swimming, sailing and horse riding nearby. If you'd rather take it easy, there are historic gardens and houses to enjoy as well as relaxing beauty treatments at local salons. Lots for kids of all ages to do too!
Our three bedroom house is right in the middle of the town. It's a modern, warm and comfortable property, well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is a secure, walled courtyard garden. It's ideal for children and has parking for bikes. There's also a barbecue area and table and chairs for sitting out.
There is so much to like about Bedale. Having lived here for 20 years, what we most like is how unusual and quirky it is. Other than a small Tesco close by (very useful) there are many unique shops, restaurants and things to do, that you won't have come across before. Although it's a small town, it hasn't been taken over by well known chains of shops. We love: The Bridge Beer Cafe - serves amazing real ales. Burger Night on a Tuesday where, as well as conventional burgers, you have the opportunity to try ostrich and even alligator burgers! Red House - antiques shop with unusual vintage finds and collectables Big Sheep Little Cow farm - hands on farm attraction for children with soft play area and barrel train ride Wensleydale Railway - from Bedale station, take an old fashioned train up into the Dales to visit places like the Chocolate Factory in Leyburn or Bolton Castle. Lots of special events throughout the year including High Class Afternoon Teas as well as seasonal "Polar Express Santa Specials." All within walking distance Further afield there is the Aerial Extreme High Ropes Adventure centre for adventure seekers of all ages. Thorpe Perrow Gardens & Birds of Prey Centre is close by and finish of an adventurous day with a trip to the Brymor Ice Cream Farm.

    - brand new single storey barn conversion - free WiFi - open plan living/kitchen - fan oven/grill, electric hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher - exposed beams + bricks - wood burning stove - large comfortable sofas (large sprung sofa bed) - double bedroom with king-sized bed - en-suite with compact Japanese deep-soak bath (better than a hot tub - fresh water each time/no having to share/own choice of temperature/own choice of music streamed through Bluetooth speakers/LED lit) and walk-in shower
What makes this place unique (I don't know of any other holiday cottage that can boast this feature) is the very special en-suite attached to the master bedroom. The most has been made of a small space by incorporating a Japanese Deep Soak Bath. Access is via slide-away, non-slip steps and whether you are a strapping six footer or a diminutive four foot something, you are guaranteed a comfortable and relaxing soak right up to your shoulders .....no exposed knees or toes reaching for the end of the tub. Stream your own music through the bluetooth speakers and choose coloured underwater LED lighting to suit your mood. EVEN BETTER THAN A HOT TUB ...... fresh water each time, no noisy jets and your own personal space (you can't choose your own temperature so easily when sharing with others!), plus....you don't have to step out into the cold air.....our en-suite even has underfloor heating :). A large separate walk-in shower, towel radiator and demisting mirrored cabinet have also been installed in this room for the convenience of our guests. Much careful thought has gone into the rest of the cottage too. The kitchen has been equipped with all the usual cooking paraphernalia as well as one or two extras, such as a nespresso coffee maker and a welcome pack on arrival with home-made biscuits and a selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fresh milk and bread. The living space features a smartTV, a DVD player and an efficient woodburner (although you may not need its warmth - the whole place is centrally heated) and we supply enough logs and kindling for your first fire. One of the two sofas converts into a very generous and comfortably sprung double bed to accommodate extra guests, and the cloakroom, just off the lobby, has a washbasin and WC which means that they have their own facilities! The utility room houses a freezer, a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board as well as other cleaning paraphernalia. Centrally placed for either the Yorkshire Dales or the North Yorkshire Moors, Primrose Cottage has its own enclosed garden and patio with views across the neighbouring countryside. Its neighbour, Daisy Cottage, provides holiday accommodation for four people and the two can be booked together for larger family groups. Car parking space is next to the property. The two cottages are tastefully decorated at Christmas.
Ham Hall Cottages are located in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, just under a mile away from the village of Scruton (15 minutes walk or three minutes by car) where the popular local pub, The Coore Arms, serves good food with friendly service. Spring House Farm Shop and Cafe is a five minute stroll away and serves snacks and meals throughout the day. We are located between the traditional market towns of Northallerton and Bedale and although the setting is rural the cottages are only five minutes away from the A1, making both the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park easily accessible. Bedale’s market is on Tuesdays throughout the year and Northallerton has two market days per week...Wednesdays and Saturdays. Bedale has a number of independent shops (butchers, bakers, cafes , restaurants, jewellers, hardware and electrical stores) aswell as a Co-op supermarket and Tesco Extra. Northallerton, a larger town with a good range of independent shops (as well as the usual supermarket chains such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, M & S Food) , is home to one of the famous Bettys cafes and the locally renowned Barkers department store. We are half an hour away from a few race courses (Thirsk, Ripon and Catterick), and there are a number of fishing lakes within the local vicinity. Northallerton railway station is on the mainline and makes London accessible in two and a half hours and York is only a twenty minute train ride away (Leeds and Newcastle are under an hour away). The local heritage line is home to a popular tourist attraction - The Wensleydale Railway, which is run by volunteers. Start your journey at Leeming Station (4 minutes drive down the road) and travel leisurely through the dales to Redmire, hopping off and on at the various stations en route.
  • Lovely cottage, beautifully done. Everything you could need and more. Good location to explore the surrounding areas, we did some lovely walks and visited fountains abbey. Highly recommend the cottage.

  • Great place to stay for work and play. Lovely to have tea and meals by the field. Great for accessing walking areas such as the Dales and Moors, which more than makes up for the act that there aren't loads of great walks from the doorstep. The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable. Thanks for a great stay.

  • What a brilliant space! The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. We had six of us staying for the weekend, 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for us, also beds, bowls and treats for the dogs and the property was lovely and warm. An enclosed area at the back was great for letting the dogs out for a little roam etc rather than having to lead them up and take them out. We had all we needed for our stay, the kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms filled with soft laundered towels and the bedrooms were spacious and finished to a very high standard. All in all, a brilliant stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Thank you so much!

The cottage is furnished to a high spec plus has a Bose stereo, 2 quality TVs (with Netflix), Sabatier knives, GHD hairdryers in each of the bedrooms. The outdoor area is very large and overlooks the countryside. It was lovely and quiet. Location is great - easy to get to places. The welcome pack was very generous and was much appreciated. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

  • What a wonderful place to stay. We spent Christmas week at the cottage and had a lovely time. The location is magical - so many deer and a castle as a backdrop! It’s also perfectly located for visiting the Dales and the surrounding area has plenty of attractions and amenities. The cottage itself couldn’t be better - comfortable, spacious yet cosy, spotless and super well equipped - we cooked a full-on Christmas dinner in the kitchen easily without needing to bring any extra pans or utensils. The log burner is easy to use and makes the place feel even more homely. All in all, highly recommended and we would love to return again in future. Thank you!

Just pack your personal items and go. Try a roast dinner at the friars head (akebar). Five mins in your car down the road. Catterick which is 10 mins provides tesco, aldi, Iceland. Cinema, swimming pool, doctors, chemist in walking distance of each other. Susans place is lovely. If you really love a log burner purchase a good size bag of kindling and some dry kind logs (emphasis on the dry kilned). Hope your stay was as lovely as ours.

  • Loads of space to relax, cook, and base yourself as a place to explore all that is Yorkshire and beyond. We took a quick run each morning 'round the block' - its 2 miles to see the deer and other wildlife. Might want to pack tea and coffee, but that aside everything is supplied.

  • This is a spacious comfortable house in a quiet rural setting, it's more like a holiday cottage than normal airbnb's but it worked for me.

  • A perfect home away from home. Everything you need to chill and unwind. Very very good value for money.

  • Fantastic Cottage, it exceeded our expectations. Beautiful Cottage with all that you need. Lovely area and easy access to a motorway. It was a truly peaceful time for us and a very tranquil place during this trip. The cottage is designed with so much that you need for a short stay or a longer stay. Lovely patio out the back to sit and ponder or the front and just watching the world go by with either a glass of wine or a cup of tea. Just book you won't be disappointed!

  • Excellent, lovely cottage to stay in.

    Nick2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! The perfect place to relax, refresh, restore and replenish! The cottage is set in peaceful surroundings with cattle and deer grazing round about. The place is a home from home and has absolutely everything you need. The kitchen is incredible and the outdoor patio area is a great place for dining al fresco. We loved the under floor heating and found the bed to be one of the most comfortable from our Air BnB experiences so far. The cottage is spotlessly clean. Susan left us a bottle of very agreeable red wine when we arrived too ! Thank you! There are so many beautiful places to visit, stunning walks and scenery. It is a fantastic base if you want to explore. We even had a trip to Whitby! But equally if you want a rest and some peace and quiet, then you don’t need to move from the comfortable cottage setting. Great choice of cd’s and DVD’s, books and board games to keep you occupied. There are some great pieces of artwork around as well....a very talented artist in residence. We noticed, Rick! They added a really personal and unique touch to the place. All in all, a wonderful experience from start to finish! Thank you Susan and Rick. Missing the place already!

  • Stonetrough barn was an amazing experience. Avril was such an amazing host. The space was clean and very comfortable. Surrounding area is full of places to explore and unique experiences including the polar express train, and lovely local pubs. Akebar was one of our favorite pubs. We will be back !!!

  • Avril’s Airbnb is beautiful! The location is serene; so quiet and restful. The barn is well appointed, with beautiful views and was very warm even on the coldest nights! North Yorkshire is great place to experience history; the nearby HADRIAN’S WALL, BOLTON CASTLE, WENSLEYDALE CHEESE FACTORY and BLACK SHEEP BREWERY were highlights on my trip. I would also recommend checking out the red squirrel sanctuary near hawes. Avril herself is caring and thoughtful. I would recommend this Airbnb and would love to return to stay again.

Our detached barn dates back to the 17th century and has a wealth of original features. It is beautifully presented making it a lovely holiday home at any time of year. Conveniently located in the heart of the Richmond, Masham and Leyburn triangle.
Our Barn has been recently converted retaining the original and its open plan nature. The property benefits from underfloor heating and plenty of space. Outside their is a large terrace/balcony area with a courtyard area below. Guests can also enjoy our garden. Nearby in the village is a new playground area for younger children.
The Barn is ideally located for access to the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoy the stunning scenery and walks in the local area. The Tour de France passed close by and the area is popular with cyclists. There are good pubs in the area and local market towns to visit.
  • Had a lovely 2 night stay here, The Barn is beautiful, clean and perfect for exploring Bedale, and surrounding areas. We had 3 youngsters with us ages 3-5 and they also loved the place. Comfy beds, hot and powerful showers. We might just return in the future.

    Shelley2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, really well located in a quiet village but close enough for plenty of day trips. The Barn itself was sparkling clean and renovated to a high standard, and was perfect for our relatively large group - 6 adults and 3 babies under 2yrs. Very good cooking facilities, eating and lounge space. Highly recommended.

  • This is a lovely barn conversion in a great location for the Yorkshire Dales. Not far away is the Vale of Mowbray, a contrast to the Dales but equally beautiful. The cottage is well equipped for self catering accommodation and is furnished as a farm cottage, with a light and cosy feel inside. We have spent a lot of time ensuring that there is everything you could want and need in the cottage to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable living/dining room, with a log burner and TV, a kitchen area fully equipped, and a shower room and toilet.
