Come stay at Castle View House B&B where you will receive a warm and friendly Irish welcome from your hosts Patricia and Garrett, welcoming guests for over 24 years from all around the world! The rate includes full Irish or continental breakfast!
  • Like staying with a family friend. Garrett literally has the keys to the castle which is so cool to walk around in. We loved it and enjoyed our stay.

  • My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and we loved it. The location is great because it's in the middle of all the places we wanted to see like the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren area. We had a bit of driving to do and explored the whole area. We had the full Irish breakfast every morning and had dinner each evening. The food was delicious and had huge portions! Patricia and Garret were excellent hosts and talked to us about our days and gave us plenty of advice on the area. We loved the place and will define lay be going back again! :)

    Kirstin2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a stunning location! Garrett and Patricia Made us feel right at home and we enjoyed chatting about the farm and seeing the cows being moved to a new field, what an experience! We were spoilt with a delicious 3 course evening meal, vegetable soup, roast chicken and apple pie. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed walking around the area, seeing the castle and other ruins.

  • Staying at the Castle View was unquestionably the best part of our entire 2 weeks in Ireland. The pictures on the website are exactly the way the house looked and my granddaughter and I got to stay in the orange bedroom. I have never tasted such good food in my whole life as the meal we were served for supper!!! Absolutely to die for. We got to meet the family pets, Odie, Honey and Baby Cakes and Garrett gave us a tour of his garden before we left for Galway. The Castle, the church next to it and the Abbey in the small adjoining town were wonderful. The little towns of Ballylongford and Listowel close by had wonderful people and little shops. Of all the Airbnbs we stayed at (4 in total) this was no doubt our favorite. A very nice change from chaotic albeit great Dublin.

    Kathy2014-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place with a nice an tranquil view. The hosts are great and both dinner and breakfast was wonderful

    Mia2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Garrett and Patricia were great hosts. Very friendly. My group golfed at Ballybunion and the house was 20 minutes away, which worked well. The food was good, scenery excellent and property well tended. I would recommend this house to others

Plan spectacular drives to Loop Head Lighthouse with wild rugged Atlantic Coastline, Cliffs of Moher & The Burren. Fluffy towels & fresh linen provided. Plenty of brochures! The whole apartment to yourself with cooking & laundry facilities.

Situated on the Wild Atlantic way we can offer you an abundance of activities to enjoy, from Dolphin watching & boat trips (departing from Kilrush Marina with Scattery Island Ferries) to our magnificent 6th century monastic Scattery Island where you will be taken back to Viking times. Try Sailing with our local yacht club (open to everyone on Wednesday evenings, you get to sail on a yacht on the Shannon River for a few hours with club members, cost €10), kayaking, swimming, deep sea diving, snorkelling in the famous 'Pollock Holes' in Kilkee, magnificent cliff walks, & fishing. Visits to Loop Head Lighthouse, Kilbaha, Kilkee, Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, surfing in Lahinch and many beautiful hidden beaches can also be enjoyed. Stroll around the Vandeleur Walled Gardens and learn about some of the fascinating history of Kilrush in olden times. Great Golf on championship golf courses in nearby Doonbeg, Kilrush, Lahinch, Kilkee and Ballybunion. Lots of great music and festivals throughout the summer.
Wild Dolphin Lodge is in a lovely peaceful setting overlooking Kilrush Marina and the magnificent Shannon River flowing out to Loop Head and the Wild Atlantic. When you park your car at Wild Dolphin it is only a 3 min walk to the centre of our old market town where a Farmers Market is held every Thursday morning on the Square. You can take a stroll along the waters edge in the evenings along the Marina and enjoy the activities of the yachts and sailing boats on the water or take a longer walk out to the beautiful village of Cappa, where there is a little harbour, pier and stony beach for swimming. (Lifeguard on duty at the pier throughout the summer months). There is also a lovely pub called The Galleon where you can get a great pint of Guiness and Pizza
  • One word sums up Wild Dolphin Apartment, perfect. This lovely, bright and airy apartment was very clean, comfortable and with a great location and view of the Marina. The towels were super soft, the beds comfortable, the showers had good pressure and hot water and the kitchen was very well equipped. While I didn't get to meet Fiona we did correspond and had a chat on the phone and she was very friendly and helpful. I hope we get the chance to meet on our next visit to Kilrush (we will be going back there for certain). Kilrush is a good place to base yourself for the Wild Atlamtic Way, The Cliffs of Mohar, the Shannon and even within reach of the Dingle Penninsula. I would give Wild Dolphin Apartments top marks and highly recommend it to anyone travelling in the West of Ireland.

  • Fiona's place is very nice. Clean and spacious.

    Wally2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was quick to respond and greeted us upon our arrival. Off street parking was available for our vehicle. Conveniently located close to the Cliffs. Plenty of space for our group with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Accommodations were clean. She had cereal, toast, yogurt and milk in our unit for breakfast. Washer and dryer also in the unit- bring your own detergent. As with most accommodations in Ireland, the beds are a double, so small for two people if you are used to a queen or king.

    Sue2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious apartment With amazing views of Kilrush harbour close to shops and all amenities

    Dermot2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was a lovely host, very accommodating and attentive, even though we booked last minute and only stayed a single night. She suggested a great pub within walking distance and came right over to help when the WiFi wasn't working. Plenty of space, directly across from the marina. Would recommend.

Floating Glamping Pods, moored in the sheltered waters of Kilrush Marina among the boats . Each pod has an outdoor seating area, a double and a single bed, a small kitchen/galley area and use of the Marina Centre facilities, such as toilets, showers, laundry, wi fi, free parking and we are in close proximity to Kilrush town centre.
Our pods are unique, being afloat. There is nothing quite like the sound of water lapping and the gentle rocking to send you to sleep.
Our marina is situated in an area of special conservation and you may be lucky enough to see some of the resident otters .
  • Great Idea - so unique. Everyone was asking us about the Pods. Really comfortable beds, clean and everyone so friendly in meeting us. Facilities in Marina are perfect. Towels and water in Pod. Would happily recommend to anyone, great base for exploring west clare

    Kevin2017-07-30T00:00:00Z

  • Staying in the pod was a wonderful experience. The location of the Marina just 3 minutes from the square is ideal for anyone sampling the nightlife. Highly recommend Crotty's Bar for food (and drink ). Facilities at the Marina very good and very clean and well maintained. As a local (from Ennis) I know this location is ideal for touring with a wealth of attractions at your doorstep.

Katie O Connor's is a hostel with both shared and private rooms; a shared kitchen and seating area. There is parking for cars on the street outside the door, and secure storage for bicycles and motorbikes on the premises.
This is an ideal place for a stopover on the Wild Atlantic Way, within easy reach of the Ferry to Kerry at Killimor, and to the beach and cliffs at Kilkee and Loop Head. Kilrush itself has boats for visitors to go dolphin watching or to visit the old monastic centre on Scattery island in the Shannon Estuary. You can visit the Shannon Dolphin centre, Vandaleur gardens, and the museum of Irish Rural life in Kilrush. There is food and music in the nearby pubs.
Katie O'Connors Holiday Hostel is located on one of the widest streets in Ireland with plenty of parking spaces provided. To the left as you go out the door you have an ATM, keep going to reach the market square and sample Crotty's restaurant and pub and Buggles pub on the square. Walk down to the right and pass Supervalu supermarket on your way to Kilrush Marina. It is a short walk or cycle to Cappa pier for fishing or swimming and to visit the Vandaleur Walled Garden. St. Senan founded a monastery on Scattery Island in the Shannon estuary across from Kilrush; you can visit by taking the Scattery Island Tours ferry from the marina. You can also visit the Shannon dolphin and wildlife centre near the marina and take a boat to visit the dolphins in the estuary.
  • We stayed there as a group of 4 guys during our journey around Ireland. We booked at the same day, we arrived there. The communication was veasy, the apartment was cosy, the people theee were awesome and the pubs and the nightlife were typically "gaelic".

    Alois2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to my very kind hosts for being so flexible last weekend. Don't be put off by the mention of on street parking, it's actually a mini-carpark on the side of the street. You will definitely get a spot.

  • This is a hostel plus! It is clean, charming authentic and quite accommodating. The staff does a womderful talking tour of the area and cheerily answers all your questions. It is a 'drive to' even out of your way place to experience the the privacy and community felt all at once.

    Maggie2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay. Good beds, showers and kitchen.

The apartment is very clean and has everything you will need whilst also being close to the town centre. From check in to check out Breen and his friend Henry were in contact on a regular basis to make sure I had everything I needed. If you are considering booking in the area I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. Cheers lads.

lovely bright house on the Wild Atlantic Way with a large garden and views of the countryside. situated within walking distance of the town centre. Plenty of room for large groups.
  • Good sized house with a lovely garden. Close to amenities and town. A few nice bars/restaurants but not as big or busy as ennis. Car a necessity for getting round to see the local sights - cliffs of moher, Shannon ferry, lovely beaches.

  • The house is lovely and spacious, a short walk outside of the town, and within an hour of some of the best places on the west coast. With the Aga, the place was always lovely and warm, and it was nice on a couple of nights when the weather was cold to be able to light the fire. We really enjoyed our stay!

  • Marie's place was really lovely, very central, lots of space for a big group and Marie was very quick to respond to any queries. Lovely living spaces and very cute garden at the back of the house.

  • Great house, lots of space, and great host. Perfect for families sharing

  • This a surprisingly large apartment in the heart of Kilrush. Marie is very accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay.

  • Great home in a wonderful location. The layout of the home lends its self to family gatherings. It was was very centrally located and wonderful to be able to walk to shops, restaurants and the marina. Our host was great and helped make our stay very enjoyable. Would recommend this home and would love to stay there again!

  • Marie and her husband very welcoming

    Kevin2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Marie couldn't have been more helpful upon my arrival. Her house is a large, beautifully appointed townhouse in the centre of Kilrush. The room was spacious and comfortable and the hot bath was just what I needed after my long cycle. Marie made sure to direct me to a good place for dinner nearby and a cafe for breakfast in the morning. This is definitely a place I'd return to for a longer visit in the future.

    Ronan2014-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was a great host and the place is actually event more spacious than it appears on the pictures. The place has a generous number of bathrooms and beds. Located right in the middle of Kilrush everything is just a short walk away. Definitely very nice place.

Nestling on the shore of the Loop Head Peninsula on the Wild Atlantic Way this luxurious 4 bed 3 bathroom retreat offers a wealth of taste and experience. Enjoy the open fireplace, the majestic estuary views, the sandy beaches, cliff walks and wonderful seafood. Wifi provided. Minimum three night stay.
  • Amazing cottages the sea. Sheila was excellent at communicating. There were very few Things that didn’t meet up so will start with that. The fireplace does smoke a bit and the WiFi is spotty sometimes. However you won’t care. What Sheila doesn’t describe is the amazing sunrises and sunsets as well as the star filled sky at night. Great location for exploring the wild Atlantic way. Sheila is an excellent host and provided very detailed instructions about how to work the water heater etc, which was helpful for us since we aren’t accustomed. The cottage itself is absolutely charming. Sheila was very flexible with us about check in time which was appreciated as we had been awake all night, drove an hour and were ready for a nap. We would absolutely stay again.

  • Such a wonderful house in a quiet location - Lovely views across the Shannon and down towards Kilkee. Wonderful place to simply relax and be away from it all, but close enough to the action to enjoying the west coast. We travelled up to the Burren and other places, all easily doable and a great day out - amazing beaches just a short drive away. Wifi worked great and very comfortable homely house.

    Richard2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sheilas place is so lovely. Everything you could possibly need is there in the house. The house itself is located centrally enough to make the most of the majestic wild atlantic wau. We visited the cliffs, bunratty, the fleadh in ennis, kilkee, doolin and many other fantastic places in two days. We would love to come back again to see all the other things in the area. A really lovely house and area.

    Rachel2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The moment of truth is when you open the front door and find the house to be PERFECT in every way. Comfortable, cozy, surrounded by nature. It was a home away from home... and a fantastic getaway for me and my family. Sheila's listing is off the beaten path, nestled within the Loop Head Peninsula, but great for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and the Ring of Kerry. It's also a great place to just sit, and listen to birds or Sheila's excellent music selection, and cook up a great meal. To say that we enjoyed ourselves is an understatement.

  • The place is very comfortable and clean. We were welcomed with lovely sandwiches and warmth from the fireplace. The host's knowledge about the area made our journey easier. Definitely recommend it if you look for relaxing place to stay.

  • This property is such a hidden gem. It is so clean with such a new look, whilst keeping the feel of a traditional Irish home, with on open fire burning peat, a secluded spot away from any hustle and bustle and really lovely ornaments and decor. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the shower was great, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal for 8 people and it was such a brilliant spot for getting to the most amazing cliffs I saw along the whole coast of Ireland. As a cherry on the cake, Kevin is so passionate about his corner of Ireland that his wife and he can also act as Information Points, with leaflets and tips for the perfect excursion. We couldn't have been more impressed.

    Jordan2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin was absolutely brilliant! Sandwiches on arrival and an amazing introduction and guide to all the local walks and sites! The cottage was exceptional. Immaculate and cosy with a turf fire to greet us on arrival! Can't recommend this place more highly!

  • Kevin's place was our favorite stay on our trek around the UK and Ireland! He accommodated our late check-in and greeted us warmly with a fire going and a plate of sandwiches. The home is HUGE and very quiet making it a wonderful place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. On our second night there, we were away exploring so Kevin sent a message if we would like a fired going for when we got back! It was wonderful to come back after being out in the rain to a warm and inviting fire! I HIGHLY recommend staying here to anyone!

  • Maggie and Kevin were great hosts their place was centrally located between kilrush and kilkee. There are super helpful for suggestions on where to go and how to enjoy the environment. Maggie went out of her way to provide us with sandwiches upon arrival and fruit and fixings for breakfast. We would highly recommend it.

  • Thenk you so much much to Kevin for this warm welcome and great experience! After a long trip from Dublin we arrived at the lovely cottage where Kevin was there to welcome us with tea and sandwiches! The advice he provided was really nice as it meant we went to all the right places to see in the area. The cottage is very spacious, lovely with the fireplace and on a quiet road with nice views. We couldnt recommend this place higher and will certainly go back.

  • We had another wonderful stay with Kevin & Maggie. The house is clean and warm and fully stocked - we literally didn't need to go to the shops at all! Kevin lit the fire every afternoon so we came home to a lovely warm house. I would highly recommend a visit!

  • David is a fantastic host , very warm and welcoming. He had a lovely table setting waiting for us .very convenient location the Shannon ferries. Across the road from a great country pub which provided good food , live music and dancing for the locals. Behind the general store frontage (no longer operational) lies a homely and spacious place

  • I think that the accommodation has a unique advantage: it's very spacious. Infact, we’re talking about an old house that needs a complete renovation. Kitchen was not clean, a dishwasher with broken door completes the look’n’feel of the room. Looking out the window, you see an old gas station closed. In the house and in the garden there are many non-functioning objects (TV, DVD, chairs) that seem abandoned. Sorry for the negative feedback but I can not recommend this place to anyone.

    Luca2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location if you want to take the ferry. The bed wasn't very comfortable but the stay was ok. David provided us with a lot of interesting info on the area, but it was a but difficult to arrange the check in and we had to ask the waitress at the pub across the street for his number.

  • David is a lovely person, we arrived a little early (45 minutes) he gave us the key and we headed off again. David gave good advice about the local pub and he had great tourist information leaflets to see. On our return later we found David had left out biscuits, tea, milk and water. The property itself has good potential but could do with a proper clean up. Some of the décor and furniture needs to be updated.
