Hi, i just visited the cottage of Arild with my wife and three children and the environment was amazing. The Cottage was very clean, there were cooking Utensils in the kitchen to cook and feel as if you are in your onw house. The sea was just nearby, just 6 minutes walk and the most amazing thing was that you can have a view of the sea when you stand at the back yard of the cottage. The were mountains all over the place with greenish looks all over. The people around were friendly. And we were all the time at the beach. Though there are buses running all the time to the cities, the distance from the cottage to the road side of the bus station is almost 1.3km. And if you have children they will have a hell time in walking that distance to the bus stop to take a bus to the city and when they return from the city, they have to walk same distance to get to the cottage. secondly, We had a difficult time locating the cottage, since there were 80 cottages in a big area. We were given the following address: Kroksåsen Kroksjordet 9, Svelvik, Vestfold 3060, Noorwegen . Our taxi driver had a hell time in locating it. The correct address was : Kroksjordet 5, instead of Kroksjordet 9. So i will appeal to Arild to make that amendment. i took photos of the cottage number, so am very sure of what am saying. It was someone who gave us the information that : Kroksjordet 5 , is the only cottage for rent in the area. And when we went there it was exactly what i saw on the airbnb site. Apart from this we had no problem in the cottage. Nice views all the time. buses are always there every hour, but distance from cottage to bust station is another hell if you have young children who cannot walk. If you need to go to the shop you will have to travel 3 to 4 km from where you took the bus to the city of Svelvik. if you need to go to shop, always go to Coop prix, Kiwi, and Rema 1000. these are the very good shops and average shops. you can have everything you need there(vegetable, fruits, ect); the nearest shop from the cottage is Coop prix. Tell the bus driver and he will stop there for you to get down. Its a lovely cottage, my children did enjoyed it very much and they creied when we told them we have to leave the next day. wooow my God what a vacation we had. We were two pairs of friends with each our little youth who had a great weekend at this lodge. Great setting and sun. It is also worth noting that one of the bedrooms are located in a separated annex.

We really enjoyd our stay at this cabin! It is a great weekend get-away, and has eveything you ned for a comfortable holiday and the huge balcony is perfect for sunny days! very good value for money :) I hope to come back.

Very nice cottage in a very quiet place.

This cottage is in a lovely location between forested mountains and the sea with wonderful views. We had a very relaxing family holiday there. It is possible to enjoy it without a car as there are good bus connections into town. The previous reviewer has given good details about supermarkets and has given the correct address which is not as stated on the airbnb details. The cottage is good value for money (Norway is incredibly expensive) but on the downside does feel a little neglected and is not super-clean. eg There were cigarette ends from the last guests in the garden and the freezer and fridge smelled bad. The host requested that we do the cleaning ourselves when we left which, he said, was how he kept the price down. However, I paid a cleaning and service charge of 89 pounds, so I don't feel this is fair. It may also explain why the cottage is in need of a thorough of clean out (drawers, fridge, freezer etc) because I don't expect that many guests want to do full spring cleaning while on holiday! The property is up for sale and I get the impression that the host doesn't take a big interest in maintaining it or the garden. The communication with the host, who we never met, was not brilliant. For example he informed us at past midnight the night before we left that we needed to take our own sheets/pillowcases/duvet covers. This caused us a great deal of inconvenience as we are a family of 6! We had to repack everything until 2am and ended up having to buy another (very expensive) hand luggage suitcase at the airport in the morning just to carry all the linen! The host then messaged us to say we had to take our own towels after we had already arrived in Norway and could do nothing about it! Thankfully this turned out not to be true as there are towels there! Despite this, it was well worth the stay and we all enjoyed our holiday enormously. The cottage is well equipped for self catering, which we appreciated because eating out is very expensive. Norway is a beautiful country, the people are very relaxed and friendly, and there is plenty to see and do around the cottage - eg mountain climbing, bird watching, sitting by the sea and exploring the peninsula behind. We have many lovely memories of our stay.

Denne hytta er en sommerdrøm med fantastisk utsikt utover Oslofjorden. Her kan man besøke lokale strender, kunstutstillinger eller grille og slappe av på den romslige verandaen. Det er også en flott badeplass på brygga rett nedenfor hytta. Marit var veldig imøtekommende og hyggelig. Hun møtte oss da vi ankom og ga oss god instruks i bruken av hytta. Hytta var ren, praktisk og hyggelig og passer perfekt for en familie. Anbefales!

We loved staying in Hurum. Lots of beautiful walks along the shoreline. We also ate lots of wild raspberries. Kajsa's apartment was very nice and clean, it had a very comfortable bed and a fully equipped kitchen. The shower was great with lashing of hot water. Very light and airy home all to ourselves.

We had a wonderful stay in Katrine's cabin. The views across the Fjord are beautiful and the beach and swimming a short walk away was bliss. As an area, Hurum provided great opportunities to swim, hike and generally get in touch with nature! Hope to be back soon.

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was cozy with great facilities! You live in their backyard but you still feel get the privacy you need. We found out we needed to stay an extra day. That was no problem at all. All in all a great experience! Great surroundings and great hospitality!

Good value, adequate accommodation, small shower cubicle.

Although websitephoto, and the garden in real were beautiful, they formed the façade for a very disappointing stay: a too small a bed for two (120cm), a tiny living, "kitchen" is too much a word for a spot with hardly any cutlery, glasses, etc. No wifi-signal. In short: a rusty hacked-together soddy pile of things. And about Katerine's hospitality: at the evening we arrived she told us she would leave the next morning for a 3-weeks vacation. She provided hardly any info and the WiFi didn't work. In total: no quality at all!

Cosy small place for 2-3 persons. Nice view over the fjord, with a lovely sunset the time I stayed there. 10 min walking to grocery shop. We had a nice walk in the forrest and along beaches. A good place for relaxation.

Nice little hut fitted with all stuff you need. From the balcony/garden there is a beautiful view down to the Drammensfjord. The place is situated very close to nature - just start mountain biking, hiking or other trips into the nature. 500 meters downhill at the fjord there is a little beach with a footbridge. Recommendation!

Great place for quiet retreat

We had a great time staying at John's house and would come again. Because of earlier reviews we had some concerns regarding the cleanliness and had contacted John about it. He promised everything would be clean and it was. It actually was spotless and my pregnant wife and two year old daughter and I felt very comfortable in the house. We slept like babies because it was so quite and particularly enjoyed the sunsets from the porch. We would come again if we chose to travel there again. The communication with John was without any problems and he was very helpful and responded within minutes. Thanks, John!

Pronounced beautiful location, quiet, beautiful view. Great terrace and conservatory. A beautiful sandy beach nearby offers good swimming opportunities, and we also had a lot of fun with John's rowboat. Great entertainment facilities with large TV and high speed internet. House not too clean and a bit tight for more than 4 people, since the third bedroom is in the basement separately. Owner very nice and helpful, we had a great communication. We would come back any time :)

The house is actually bigger than it seems on the pictures, and I would say the description is understated! Gosia was a great host, and even treated us with soft drinks and fruits upon arrival, let us have late check out and offered us to borrow the car (which we did not need as the house is very central and even with a 3 year old we could walk everywhere). Fire vidunderlige dager i Drøbak - juli, 2017. - vi hadde det fantastisk fint - Vi ble tatt vel imot av Gosia; en veldig blid og imøtekommende dame. Et nydelig rødt hus midt i Drøbak by, med to store terrasser og herlig utsikt til Drøbak gjestehavn og fjorden. Love it! Perfekt beliggenhet! Tilgang til et lite herlig badebasseng, skulle ha brukt det mer:) Kort vei til deilige bakerier, kafeer og klesbutikker til oss jenter. Flere deilige strender i gåavstand fra huset; fine turstier også. Anbefaler dette stedet til alle som trenger ferie/husvær i Drøbak. Tusen takk for oss, fra Tias, Elisabeth & Muskatt. Vi kommer veldig gjerne tilbake!

It was really great to stay in such a lovely house. We enjoyed it so much! We'll definitely come back! The view from the terrace is wonderful. The house is very comfortable, everything is very clean. The kitchen is just as well as the bathrooms perfectly equipped. BBQ and jacuzzi make everything even more beautiful!

We really enjoyed this stay although it was just a short one given that we spent just a night there. Anne the Reidar's wife waited for us at the house and she welcomed us in a very nice way. The house is located practically in the center.Drobak is very small so you'll be able to visit it in just a day. Apart from that the location is good to visit other interesting places in the surrounding.

The accommodation was very good. Both were satisfied.

This house is very cozy and nicely decorated. The view of the Oslo fjord is absolutely beautiful and whatever time you can spend hours enjoying the view !!! The place is magical. We were greeted very well. The house was consistent with the description.

Silje has an amazing apartment. The view is astounding and it is an ideal location to sit and relax for hours at a time. She is responsive and generous with her time and I highly recommend her apartment for an escape outside of Oslo.

Anine's house in Drobak was a pleasure to stay in. Me and my family of four stayed there for three weeks in early August. The close proximity to Oslo was a real bonus for us and we really enjoyed getting to know it. You can take the ferry into Oslo from Drobak which is a lovely activity in its own right. Takes about an hour and you get a nice sense of the beautiful Oslo fjord. Drobak it's-self is a pretty village with nice diving and swimming opportunities (watch out for the jelly fish though) and plenty of bars and restaurants to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine with a nice glass of wine. The kids enjoyed the swimming and relaxed outdoor nature of the holiday. A good time to switch of and enjoy some good old fashioned, quality, family time. We have come away with good memories so thank you Anine for being part of that!! Polly and family (from London)

Anine met us at the property and personally showed us around. Throughout our stay she was available and responded promptly to any queries. The house and garden were as attractive as depicted and all amenities were as described on airbnb. There was plenty of space for the four of us . It was easy to access public transport and get to Oslo and Oscarsborg. There are plenty of places in Drobak to sit, eat , drink and watch the world go by. This was our first time in Norway and we were impressed by the scenery. Drobak is a peaceful, beautiful place and it was great to be able to walk around the fjord and take in the view. I would recommend both the property and the area as a holiday destination.

We had an awesome stay in Drøbak with Anine. They were accommodating when booking, quick to answer questions along the way and came all the way during your stay. We came to a great, neat and clean house A garden which the kids loved and a relaxing nice place and stay. Should have been there longer Km certainly recommend a visit here

We borrowed house of the family for 8 days this summer and had absolutely wonderful. Anine and the man was fighting kind and was of great assistance during our stay: The house is located in a small hill with great views, a little walk to downtown and to the beach. We strolled down to the bakery and bought fresh bread every morning for breakfast. 4 beautiful patios to sit around the house is also. We had the kids and it's great for kids there with playhouse, slide and other toys out and a bedroom with lots of toys and even remember and climbing wall
