Renovated and unique, our Art Deco apartment is just minutes from cafes, shops, St Kilda Beach, bars, public transport, St Kilda Botanical Gardens and the famous Acland Street. Two large bedrooms, renovated kitchen and bathroom and original brick walls throughout, the apartment is reminiscent of a warehouse.
Renovated ground floor, Art Deco apartment with high ceilings, original floorboards and feature brick walls, our unique apartment works around the concept of “hygge” (loosely meaning “cosy” and why Danish people are so happy!) Check out "andhygge" for more photos! You'll find all the cooking essentials and equipment (including dishwasher) to make a gourmet meal in our renovated kitchen. We supply a simple breakfast, and have a Nespresso machine with a selection of pods as well as instant coffee, tea leaves (and tea pot) and tea bags. The living room has a large and ridiculously comfy couch perfect for curling up and watching TV, or reading a book. The couch also converts into a queen bed, should you need the extra space (for more than 4 guests) (and we've been told by guests it's the best sofa bed they've slept on- by far! ) The master bedroom features: : a comfortable queen bed with high quality sheets, plenty of pillows and cushions, as well as electric blanket : large walk in robe. : a study nook should you need to work from home. The second bedroom has : a super comfy queen bed with pillow topper, high quality sheets (and plenty of pillows and cushions as well as electric blanket for those cold winter nights!) : built in robe. Staying in? Enjoy reading one of the many available books, play a board game or do a jigsaw. Enjoy a shower or bath in the renovated bathroom with super soft Sheridan towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser, as well as a hair dryer. All rooms have hydroponic heating and electric blankets to keep you toasty warm in winter. The bedrooms have pedestal fans for the summer. The indoor laundry has washing machine, dryer and laundry detergent (as well as iron and ironing board).
The apartment is situated just moments from the heart of the young, vibrant, busy suburb of St Kilda. A plethora of delicious food options lie just minutes away. It's a similarly short walk to the beach, Luna Park, and St Kilda Botanical Gardens.

  • My partner & I really enjoyed our stay at Jodie & Tim’s place. The location is so prime - it’s the shortest walk away from places to eat & drink. The space was clean, stylish & really cosy. It’s a townhouse so you will hear the neighbours both upstairs & on the ground floor sometimes, but that didn’t bother us at all & they all seem like friendly people. It’s gated off so we felt safe.

    Hampton is a stunning bayside suburb, about a five minute drive from the beach, shops, and restaurants. It's just a 15 minute walk to the train and 20 minutes by train into the city. It's also within walking distance of several cafes and parks.

  • Hosts Manuela and Guni are helpful, responsible, openminded couple with detailed understanding to anything what their guests could potentially need during their staying. Except their personal approach the best overall we evaluate location of the apartment inside the garden of their family residence. It is just excellent. The place is on walking distance (7 min) to Elwood beach (the best one in Melbourne), ideal for swimming, walks or run during whole day or in the evening. The place has fantastic connection to the city centre - by train 20 minutes from Gardenvale train station. Parking is free infront of the house, which is extraordinary considering quite complicated and expensive Melbourne´s parking system. Apartment itself is absolutely practical, fully equiped kitchen downstairs with very close access to the private terrace. Upstairs sleeping room with aircondition is comfortable and spacy for 2 persons and is very light. Bathroom is modern and comfortable too. Apartment and terrace offer suffcient privacy with private entrance to the swimming pool (always clean). We spent in the apartment two weeks and we felt like at home. We did not miss anything, just enjoyed.

    My apartment is set in a beautiful, period era St Kilda street that is peacefully quiet at night. It is conveniently located away from the noisy nightlife that is St Kilda however, close enough to walk there. A vibrant area known for its shopping, famous cake shops, boutique bars and restaurants. ST KILDA Description provided by Travel Australia St Kilda is an inner southern suburb of Melbourne, located on a sandy stretch of Port Phillip between Albert Park and Elwood. Originally a seaside resort in Melbourne's early years due to its close proximity to the city centre, St Kilda has developed into a trendy and cosmopolitan suburb St Kilda is famous for its food, entertainment and nightlife. Acland Street is a bustling shopping precinct famous for its cafes, continental cake shops, fashion and second-hand shops. Nearby Fitzroy Street is renowned for its restaurants and bars. The most famous attraction on St Kilda's beach is the St Kilda Pier. This landmark was originally constructed in 1853 and the iconic kiosk on the pier built in 1904.     Very safe,quiet and well-lit side street in North Brighton/Elwood nestled in between Kamesburgh Gardens (2 minutes walking away) and North Road Reserve (5 minutes walking away) being directly on the beach. Brighton Yacht Club is just down the road.
  • Manuela's pavillon is a perfect set-up for couples visiting the Melbourne beach area. It is a close walk to Brighton's beaches and nearby cafes and reastaurants (very good by the way). It is fully self-contained studio (with a full kitchen should you need) and set back from the main house in a wonderful garden. It is very clean, warm and welcoming.

Brighton is a great spot for beach and shops a 20 minute walk away as is the train from Gardenvale to the city. For us, the easy parking and the good road system mean we can visit our friends in the Eastern suburbs. Would love to stay again.

Apartment has two bedrooms (main bedroom has QB, Second bedroom has DB) and 1 folding bed (please note its a fold out bed not pull out) that can be set up for the 5th guest. I try and accomodate early check in and later check out, if possible, at the rate of $15 an hour.
    This four year old first floor apartment is the last in a block of 16 with a secure entrance and underground parking. Located a short walk from the Highett train station, supermarket, and upmarket cafés, it is a short drive to the Southland Shopping Centre and the beach. The apartment is fully equipped with modern appliances and amenities. It has two spacious bedroom. Master bedroom has queen size bed, built in robes and a clean ensuite Second bedroom has double bed, built in robes and powder room next to it . All linen including bed linen, bath towels, hand towels are provided. Hair dryer, shampoo, body wash is there for guests to use. There is a European laundry, a Gourmet kitchen fixed with modern appliances Living room is bright,beautiful and very peaceful. A comfy couch (I bet you will fall asleep on it;), TV and a dinning table. Apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I also have a portable cot and blankets for family with babies which you can hire for $8per night and a high chair for $5per night.
    Location: the apartment is situated in very convenient location. Everything you wish for is within walking distance. Modern cafés, awesome fish n chips shops, Thai restaurant, Vietnamese , Chinese food , pizza place, burger shop.... It's all right there. A very cozy brand new bar just around the corner. One of the biggest shopping centre with cinemas within walking distance. supermarket across the road. Bus stop and train station 2 min walking distance. You would be very surprised how quiet it is given the proximity from railway line..... never ever have I had any complaints about the noise. There is underground carpark and lockup storage (there is minimal charge for storage). Unlimited internet Fully equipped kitchen
  • Our stay at the apartment was very good. The apartment was well equipped, very clean and ample room for us to relax, cook and base our 6 day visit to Melbourne. Our bed was comfortable and the location quite. It is very close to Highett village which has a good coffee shop and a lovely Vietnamese restaurant. We love Melbourne’s bay side surburbs and the location at Highett made it easy for us to visit some friends and family. The parking space was useful and the entry directions to the apartment were clear and easy to follow. We will stay here again if available.

    The accommodation has been newly renovated and is comprised of a queen size bed, kitchenette ensuite bathroom, Parking is available directly outside of the accommodation and the entrance is separate from the main house.
    Veronika’s home is located in Hampton, Victoria, Australia. The beach-side suburb Hampton is located 15 kilometres south of Melbourne on Port Phillip, between Brighton and Sandringham. The strip of shops along the thoroughfare of Hampton Street is one of Hampton's major attractions - retail shopping precinct features restaurants, bistros, clothing stores, antiques shops and personal services. Hampton offers visitors safe swimming along a wide stretch of sandy beach. The foreshore reserve provides BBQ and picnic facilities and is attractively landscaped with grassy strips, palm trees and a walking and bicycle path.

Everything was well taken care of, and she provides excellent tips and very knowledgeable on places to visit, though I didn’t have enough time to go explore. Bed is very comfortable, amenities well provided, toilet is available all the time as you’ll be sharing with just her son. Easy access to the house and bedroom, and Hampton station nearby has a lot to offer, including a supermarket. All in all, delightful. Hope to see you soon Susan!

    The apartment is on the 1st floor. Located in Gardenvale, a quiet and residential suburb. 2.5 km far away from the beach (Brighton)and 700m from Gardenvale Station. The space is far from grand, best suited as a place to rest a weary head. The room is compact, it has a small fridge and a big wardrobe. However, you are welcome to use any of the other casual & comfy areas throughout the house. The shared bathroom has a shower and bathtub in case you'd love to recover from the travel fatigue.

  • Jane is the sort of host who by her hospitality demonstrates the difference between an impersonal hotel and an Airbnb home experience. My wife and I were in Melbourne for a family funeral. Due to the short notice we had to travel with our two small dogs. From the moment I made contact with Jane via messages I felt here is someone who behaves and communicates professionally. We were not disappointed. Both Jane and her adult family made us feel at home. She understands the balance between friendliness and space. We particularly appreciated leaving our little dogs with Jane while we attended funeral related events. The added bonus was the joy our puppy experienced playing with the 12 month old puppy belonging to one of Jane’s children. A note for all when travelling with dogs make sure you give proper disclosure to your host about your own dogs. So, all was as described and the hospitality exceeded our expectations. Being invited to make a decent coffee on Jane’s coffee machine gave us a great morning start each day. Thanks Jane.

    The cottage is self contained and is a well designed space that accommodates a queen sized bed, bathroom and a separate study and is set in an enchanting cottage garden. The well equipped kitchen is in a separate space though part of the cottage and is accessed by its own door from the decking, so you don't have far to go. In the morning lorikeets and other wild birds come to feed and you will be awoken to the romantic sound of birdsong. During spring and summer the garden is at its loveliest.
    The cottage is self contained with own kitchen including dishwasher and has bathroom and laundry facilities. There is an additional room with a desk and chair for study or reading. The cottage is not connected to the house. It has its own decking and outdoor setting looking into the garden. This space is ideally suited for a couple or single and is not designed to accommodate children or extra guests.
    Picturesque, safe, quiet, leafy and close to the beach and yacht club.

Yolanda had lots of thoughtful extras touches, a highlight was honey from her onsite beehive.     This apartment is in a fantastic location very close to vibrant Brighton, Hampton and Highett. Southland shopping centre is literally 2 mins drive away and guests will love how convenient and easy it is to navigate around Melbourne from this amazing location.
    Sandringham is very close to beautiful beaches and 20-30 mins to the city depending on traffic and time of day. There is also a major shopping centre (Southland) close by with everything most people would want to buy. There are also plenty of restaurants and take away places all around the area.

For those without transport, it is in between two bus stops with a 7 minute bus trip into town or to the beach. Just two things to note, internet is a bit patchy and doesn't seem to work with some phone apps. And they are constructing a new apartment block next door which could be noisy outside of holiday season. Other than that, it's a quiet building and communication with the owners was fantastic.     My house is in the suburb of Hampton East which is 25 minutes by train from Melbourne CBD and a 20 minute walk to the beach. Great cafes and restaurants are close by. This house is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers .
    My house is nice and tidy and has a lovely open space living/dining/kitchen area for you to completely enjoy every moment. You will have your own bath, shower and toilet in the main bathroom plus any towels you may need. There is also a washing machine and an outdoor clothesline which all guests are welcome to. I also have wi fi and a tv for entertainment. The house has generous space, full of natural light. Walking to beach will only take 20 minutes. This private bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and large wardrobe, which will suitable for a couple, solo adventures or business travelers.
    It is a great neighborhood with beaches, cafes, shopping centres and amenities. There are numerous bike paths to ride along or you can go for a walk or a run along the beach trails. And afterwards sit and relax with a coffee at one of the numerous cafes. Southland Shopping Centre is 2km away, with great shops and a cinema.

    This is a beautiful sunny and spacious apartment with a private en suit bathroom and a view of the pool and has its own private entrance and private kitchenette. If you wish to cook you can use the kitchen in the main house. There is free unlimited street parking right outside the apartment.
    The room is huge and very private. There are stairs to get to the apartment.
    We're in 3 minutes walk of cafe's, take away restaurants, bakery and convenient store. There is a park just around the corner and we are a 20 minute walk to the pub. You can take a 15 minute drive to either Brighton or Mordialloc beach.

Bath and kitchenette were quite small and less comfortable for us that with small kids lived the space intensively. Nevertheless we have always been offered to use the main house facilities.   • Thank you for a wonderful time at your place. I stayed 5 nights. Sally and Rob are very friendly and helpful. Their house is very clean and tidy. The room is very spacious. There are a sofa and table in the room so I can relax in the room watching TV or working on the computer. Everything I needed was there for me. Soap and shampoo etc are organic base, which I felt good about. They have a friendly nice dog welcoming me, too. Highly recommended.

The bed is so comfortable it's hard to leave it! Sally & Rob are very kind and considerate hosts, and their dog is gentle and sweet. I highly recommend staying there!

  • I so enjoyed my stay with Sally & Rob! The place is spotlessly clean and so peaceful. I had all the privacy I wanted, but they were also kind and very friendly if I felt like having a chat or joining them for dinner. Their dog is sweet and adorable, too. The neighbourhood is perfect with lovely parks, shops and restaurants very close within walking distance. Both Sally & Rob were incredibly accommodating, allowing me to have my bike here and just being so gracious in general. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay with absolutely no drama. Would definitely return.

  • Jaxon and Flo are amazing! The place is beautiful, the room is amazing and the location is spot on. My stay was very short but Jaxon and Flo ensured I was well looked after. They gave tips on what to do in the area, helped out when I needed it and even when I forgot bobby pins they were able to lend me some. Just an example of amazing hosts who went above and beyond for their guest. The apartment is very clean and feels like home. The room is something else! The comfiest bed with an adjustable fan that helps during those hotter nights. Great communication between the hosts and you so you’re never having to tip toe, if anything they’ll even have a little yarn before bed. Everything you could ever need in a place away from home, they will have ready for you. Will definitely stay here again!

    Our quaint cottage is set at the back of our garden placed next to our vegetable garden. Pennydale is a quiet and friendly neighbour. Within walking distance to lovely coffee shops, public transport, golf courses and Southland shopping centre. The beach is an 8 min drive away with vineyards or mountains a further 1 hour drive away. The train is on an express line which takes you into Flinders in 30mins.
    Quaint cottage with a small kitchenette, open bedroom/ living space and a bathroom with shower. There is private access to the cottage and street parking (you will need to place a parking sign in the car window). We have a large garden which you are welcome to enjoy and veggie patch to grab goodies from if you like. Pennydale used to be known as Cheltenham
    The Royal Melbourne Golf Course, Half Moon Bay Beach, Southland, Brighton Beach Houses, Rose & Clive Coffee Shop, The Parlor, The Odd Room, Paradise Gelato, Bad Shepard Brewery to name but a few.
  • Donna-Jane's place was exactly what we needed and where we needed. In a nice quite little area only a 15min drive from St Kilda, where we spent most of our time. Their communication was fantastic and extremely helpful in sending bag something we left behind. They were understanding of our late night check and coming and going and at all hours. Some trips you like to just keep to yourself and we weren't intruded on at all which we really appreciated. Would gladly stay again. Thanks, Donna-Jane!

  • That is a nice and cozy room seperate with the house with a door connected, but locked. In the other side of the door is kitchen, so it is a bit noisy in the morning. The room is very clean with TV, fridge, etc. Nice and warm with coffee and tea bags. The back yard is bathed with sunshine, very relaxing. For the checking description can be more clear since I knocked Some one home in the back.

  • The accommodation was a clean environment with paintings throughout the building. Plenty of cooking pots and pans, oven with huge gas cooking top, a toaster and microwave. These made it very easy to cook meals that were bought at the supermarket that was a short walk up the road. The bathroom was clean and tidy having a washing machine there to clean the clothing.
