I had a very comfortable stay at Laura's studio. The studio is really well equipped, spacious, private and self contained. It would be a great place to base yourself and explore many of the areas nearby. Or just enjoy walks at your door and relaxing indoors making the most of the reading material and TV viewing options. The location is scenic with amazing sea views from the street and studio. I found the train passing by to be a novelty and it didn't interrupt my (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Laura before and during my stay was excellent and I was made to feel welcome. Check-in and check-out was all easy. I wish Laura and Andy all the best with hosting on airbnb.

Laura's place was perfect for our stay. It is a nicely furnished and clean space, with a great bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has all you need and Laura's supply of small breakfast items was a great touch and very handy to start the day. Her place is ideally located with a balance between the McLaren Vale wine region and the city. Our main reason for visiting Adelaide was to venture around McLaren Vale, so having a 25 minute drive there was excellent. The train to the city is also only a short walk away. While you can hear the train during the day, it doesn't run at night and never bothered us! We will definitely stay again when we need a few more bottles of red from McLaren Vale!

Beautiful scenary close to the beach and other fun things to do while in Adelaide

A delightful, cosy space to enjoy. Very well equipped to make life easy including the kitchen and bathroom. The host provided a number of unexpected but well received extras - I doubt you'll find better value in this area.

We found Laura's place suited us perfectly. It was very clean and invitingly presented with everything we needed to be very comfortable for our week stay. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry are set up very well for an easy break. Cosy garden entrance and incredible ocean view also made the stay peaceful. The train line is close but we quite enjoyed its passing rhythm. Laura and Andy made us feel welcome and were perfectly accommodating and helpful during our stay. We hope to stay again. Great location, very quiet, great accommodation, well recommended

We stayed with Judy while we attended a wedding which was nearby - her home has INCREDIBLE views and she had a space set aside for us with our own bedroom, bathroom and little lounge/tv room. (and the dogs are super friendly)

Judy is a lovely and welcoming host. We felt very comfortable and safe in her home. It's right next to the beach, great for walks and swims. There aren't many shops nearby so you need a car or good walking shoes to get to the closest shopping area about 4kms away. The room was very affordable, though we felt there was room for improvement in regards to cleanliness. Overall we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed Judy's hospitality.

Judy was very accommodating and welcoming considering I was only staying one night. Was great to see the ocean at first light with a cuppa in hand. Thanks so much!

Such a great time! Judy's place is right on the water, extremely comfortable and clean, and afforded as much privacy as we wanted. The bedroom was well sized, and the adjoining private guest bathroom is completely updated and has so much space! We also had a private TV room which was a pleasant surprise and very appreciated! I don't know if we will find another host as wonderful as Judy. She was so welcoming and made us feel like old friends. She provided continental breakfast (the yogurt is delicious!) and gave us such great advice on what to do around Adelaide. She even took us around on our final night and showed us the main attractions in the city! We can't wait to stay in touch with Judy and especially can't wait to come back and stay with her. Highly recommended- I can't praise Judy or her gorgeous house enough! Gold star.

This really is living a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget.......meaning this is really good value for your money. As described Judy's home is stylish, new and has the most amazing coastal outlook. The guest room is large, with a very comfortable bed. The adjoining bathroom is spacious, with a bath included which I was keen to have a relaxing soak in, but didn't find the time........maybe next time. You also have a cosy lounge area to enjoy for yourself with a large TV. The well equipped kitchen makes cooking enjoyable (sea views included while you prepare your meal). If you prefer not to cook there is a cafe/ restaurant just at the front. Here is a really good place to escape the city, relax and take in the fresh sea air. While at the same time having easy access to the train to head into the city for the day or maybe even further down the coast to explore. There are plenty of bus connections at Noarlunga Centre in the south where i'm sure there could be the option to head into the McLaren Vale wine region or Willunga Market. These are some options that maybe possible if you have your own transport or not. Also worth a mention is close proximity of Glenelg, Harbour Town Outlet Shopping Centre and the Airport. If you just prefer to relax....take a book out onto the balcony with a cuppa or cool drink and breathe in the fresh air. Of course when you want to be more active but not travel to far you have the beach to enjoy and coastal walks literally at your door. I would suggest a stay here anytime of year. As even in the cooler months I would find it quite relaxing being in doors all cosy in a beautiful home relaxing with a glass of nice red or a warm cuppa looking out at the rough seas and weather. Plenty of indoor options, movies, reading or catch up on some emails using the wifi. Judy herself is a bright intelligent woman and the most welcoming host. Although I was out most of the time one evening I did join in some great conversation with Judy and a friend of hers, Glen......most enjoyable. Judy's two little dogs Pebbles and Barney are cute and will amuse. They are also very quiet and are no bother. I would highly recommend Judy as a host and her home as a great place to stay. I hope to stay again when I'm next in Adelaide....... Thank you ! Judy

Staying with Judy in her beautiful home has been a wonderful experience. We felt welcomed and looked after at every stage of our stay. Judy is very easy to talk to, always has a story to tell and went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable. The 'guard dogs' (Pebbles and Barney) are adorable and friendly. Bed was very comfy, shower was great, views were lovely! Staying here was everything we could have hoped for and more. We'll always remember this week as being our first step into life in Adelaide, and we'll think of Judy as being our first new friend here. If you're considering staying in Adelaide, you'd be lucky to be staying here!

Nicola is a great host. Bruce who is the local caretaker was very helpful and just minutes away to help out if there was any issue. The retro house is in good shape and the view from the property is just breathtaking. We came from Melbourne just to relax for few days and it was worth every penny. I would recommend to stay at this place to anyone and I would myself consider again if I visit Adelaide.

We were lucky and had perfect weather for our stay. The view is amazing and the house is in a great location with a short walk to a great cafe, conservation park and 20 minute drive to the McLaren Vale wineries. Though the house is older the host has done a great job at creating a quirky and nostalgic stay.

A very eclectic house with a wonderful collection of vintage items. We had fun reminiscing about having, or knowing someone who had, certain items. The view is absolutely stunning and our fur baby loved being so close to the beach.

We loved our stay in Hallet Cove. The apartment well appointed, comfortable for the family and had a beautiful view! Marius and his family were welcoming and kind. The furnishings were comfortable and elegant. Staying here made it a great trip! :)

Our host was very welcoming and accommodating. The house was just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. We had to make a last minute change as we needed to find accommodation for one more person. Our host responded quickly to our request and offered us an extra bed/linen for a reasonable price. The ocean views were amazing. We enjoyed the morning sunrise and sunsets while being nice and warm inside! We traveled with our seven month old baby and they provided a cot, bath and high chair which was fabulous. There is a shopping center within a few minutes drive and it had everything we needed - groceries, good coffee etc.

It IS a beautiful seaside spot. We enjoyed dining outside with views of the waves lapping the shore. Our accommodation was very spacious for my wife, daughter and I. Everything was very clean and decked out in new Ikea gear. Marius, Laura and Gabriel are friendly and helpful, lending us a bath, high chair and cot for our 6 month year old. We enjoyed a few days, having coffee at the Boatshed cafe (a walk away), walking in Hallett Cove Park, exploring McLaren Vale and snorkeling at Port Noarlunga Reef. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

The listing was spot-on; awesome beach view, very clean, quiet, spacious and fully equipped. A bowl of fresh fruit, freshly ground coffee and a stack of touring brochures awaited us. The hosts were available to help if needed but not intrusive. This is a quiet neighbourhood, close to a lovely beach and a half hour drive to Adelaide. We highly recommend this accomodation.

I had a wonderful experience at Adam's place. I was made to feel welcome from the get go and I was really impressed with how Adam and Ailsa went out of their way to make me comfortable. It's the small things that matter when one travels, like having some basic food items for a quick light meal, clean towels, linen and everything that one could need. I was very surprised to find beer in the fridge, Really? Wow. The home was very well presented, clean and little fancy if I may say so. Can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a small place to stay near the beach. Adam was a fantastic host and the house had everything we needed for an easy getaway including pantry essentials and beers in the fridge are always a huge plus. the place looks even nicer in person than in the pictures and everything is very new and works well.

A beautiful, comfortable home that was the perfect stop gap for when we emigrated over from New Zealand. Fantastic location for public transport, the train practically stopped at the bottom of the drive (not that you would really notice noise wise from inside the house). Danny was a fantastic host who was always available if needed and nothing was too much trouble. He went out of his way to make sure we felt at home.

Ruth and Rob’s home in Hallet Cove is exceptionally well kept and clean, and they are friendly and helpful hosts. It’s close to shops and the A15, but in a quiet neighborhood as well. We would have loved to stay longer had we the time to do so.

Wonderful, clean, self-contained accommodation with WiFi, close to the Adelaide southern beaches, and to South Australia's southern tourist attractions. Also very easy to get to from the Adelaide Airport by car. Hostess was extremely thoughtful in providing high quality muesli, milk and Tim Tams to welcome us. That meant, despite our late arrival, we could relax in the morning while we made plans for the day. View of the ocean was much appreciated as well. It really felt like a home away from home ☺. A bedroom for each of us at a fantastic price!

This is a really comfortable home in the southern suburbs and worked perfectly for me while I was working locally. Tina provides everything you need for a brief stay. It is also close to some lovely coastal spots if you have a car.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It's a dreaming-home style. The inside is even much more beautiful thank that in the picture. All out of expectation. Tina was a kind and thoughtful person to have everything ready for us. She was so nice to keep some lights and heaters on so we could enjoy our home straight away once arrived. Sherri was an extremely gracious, helpful and interesting host. I had an absolutely fantastic weekend there. Great location - especially the amazing hiking trail right in front of her house; the vicinity of so many great locations. I HIGHLY recommend a trip to Maslin Beach - one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen - coupled with a trip to some wineries in McLaren Vale. Sherri recommended Hugh Hamilton wineries - and that recommendation was spot-on: beautiful place, with great wines and assorted cheeses. I know she is a bit embarrassed about her pool. but I loved it - especially after the relatively strenuous bike to Brighton Beach.

Sherri is a most personable and generous host who seems to have a real knack for making you feel at ease. What an absolute delightful to spend a few days with Virginia and Malcolm. The house was lovely, clean and inviting. We had use of the BBQ and we were very happy to sit outside with our hosts and share a tale and a drink. Virginia was a mine of information about local transport, places to visit and we were extremely grateful for the airport pickup, even though it was rather late in the evening! The house is a little way out of the city, but there are regular bus services and only a forty minute trip. The nearby supermarket was a big plus for the BBQ and a bottle shop was not far away.

Virginia and Malcolm were great hosts. The room is huge and there is a lovely outdoor area for meals and reading. The bed was a little hard for me.
