With amazing views of the Yorkshire Dales this is a perfect romantic retreat. With battery operated lights and music and big comfy bed you can relax with your loved one. Shower, kitchen area, toilet, settee and dining set. We have also now added a decking area with fire pit/barbecue for outside cooking. Tea and coffee facilities are included. Hot tub situated over the small car park in a private location. You have sole access. A network of paths go through our working farm with river and forest
The treehouse has one main room and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The double bed is very comfortable! Table and chairs for eating and drinking. Kitchen area with 2 ring hob, small oven, fridge, microwave, toaster kettle.. also suppled are tea and coffee etc. Breakfast items are also provided. There are breath taking views of Nidderdale from your tree balcony. The large decking area allows barbecue and dining as the sunsets along side. Across the car park, a stones throw is our therapy suit with hot tub. Every evening our guests have sole access to the hot tub between 6-11pm. It’s in a completely private location. There is a small additional charge for using the hot tub of £25 for a session of up to 5 hours or £40 for 2x 5 hour sessions. We have 2 qualified massage therapists and a therapy suite on site to offer deep tissue or relaxation massage at an additional cost. See additional information.
It's a peaceful location with beautiful walks in every direction and some lovely quirky places to eat. Nidderdale has so much to offer and we are right in the heart of it.. 3 miles from the town of Pateley Bridge... 5 minutes drive or a beautiful walk along the river side. Around Pateley Bridge there are cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs, a leisure centre with swimming pool, Nidderdale Lamas, Bewerley Horse Riding Centre, Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge, Stump Cross Caverns, Studfold Aventure Trail and so much more! Cycling- we live in a private mile long road which is not a cycle path. As much as we don’t have an issue with our guests cycling, other business and properties on the lane do. They do have the right to stop you if you meet them on their stretch of the lane on a cycle I’m afraid and have done in past years.
  • The treehouse is situated with scenic views all around. You can expect complete privacy. The host was great, provided step by step travelling instructions and was present on arrival to run through everything. Very approachable and friendly. The treehouse itself was cute and cozy, it really is how it’s described, if not better, I would definitely be returning and have put it down as one of my top ten places to visit!

  • Beautiful space for a quiet weekend away! Treehouse was lovely, even though the storms tried to put us off we enjoyed it nonetheless. Hot tub in the snow was a new experience! Emma is very helpful and welcoming, would very much stay again, although maybe in better weather next time! 😊

    Evelyn2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s Treehouse was amazing! We had the best time for my boyfriends 30th birthday. On arrival Emma had put up birthday balloons and laid out some lovely birthday touches which my boyfriend loved! Even though it was freezing outside, with the heater on the treehouse was so cosy! On day 1 we got snowed in, but Emma offered any help getting supplies and also lent us sledges which provided LOTS of fun. Emma also invited us to meet and feed the new baby lambs! It was so interesting getting an insight into farm life! Hot tub is also delightful and a lovely extra. We will definitely return!

    Leonie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The weekend my other half and I spent in Emma's treehouse was absolutely spectacular. Exactly as advertised, with some extra little touches she had added in. Everything had been so well thought out. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome and were even invited to feed her newborn lambs. We stayed during the height of a storm and she could not have been more accommodating, offering us alternative accommodation a little more sheltered from the storm if we wished to use it. We had the use of her hot tub in the evenings and were even lent robes to use to get to and from her tub. We are already looking at dates when we can go back and stay again. I could not recommend this place enough. Absolutely fantastic.

    Danielle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is gorgeous, lots of personal cosy touches. The farm and nearby areas are also very idyllic. Emma’s directions were spot on and we found the place with relative ease. We were unfortunately quite late on arrival, but Emma is extremely gracious and all round diamond. Couldn’t do enough for us, the hot tub and meeting the lambs are top highlights. Incredibly reasonable prices with hindsight too. Would love to come again and would recommend to anyone wanting relaxation and an explore.

    Catherine2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was everything we hoped for and Emma was very accommodating with super quick replies. On our first morning Emma asked if we would like to see the newborn lambs which was very thoughtful, it was incredible and Emma was very informative and warm. We felt very lucky that Emma thought to include us in a part of what life is like at the farm. This was something that I would’ve expected from a paid experience via Air BnB. Emma also provided us with really good suggestions for outings and good food. The Hot tub was also amazing!!! My girlfriend and I would 100% come again. Thanks so much Emma ☺️☺️☺️

    Will2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was a brilliant host and we had a fantastic time staying here for a much needed away from it all break. The treehouse had amazing views of the countryside and the interior was really nice also. The nice touches of breakfast foods that were left for us alongside other stuff was a pleasant surprise and went above our expectations. Due to stormy weather we were offered alternative accommodation for the second night which was situated next to the hot tub which was also gratefully appreciated. The hot tub was excellent as was the afternoon walk along the farm track then along the river into the local town where we enjoyed lunch and a few beers before the relaxing walk back All in all a fantastic place with a fantastic host for which I’d recommend to anyone wanting a lovely romantic chilled out break. Sincere thankyou Andy & Jude

  • Brilliant place for a relaxing couple of days, the hottub is excellent and the fact it had a Bluetooth connection was a bonus, the WiFi connection was not very good but it wasn't a huge disappointment, enjoyed a day in Knaresborough but was disappointed that Plompton rocks is closed for 2020. The smithy itself is very relaxing and cosy, brilliant overall.

  • A lovely cosy cottage for a relaxing break. Good communication from the owner regarding directions and check-in instructions. Owner was really helpful when there was an issue with the heating and got it sorted straight away. Really useful information book left in the cottage which had loads of recommendations for places to eat. Good location with lots of things to do near by. We would love to return for another visit. Just a tip for anyone using satnav, we used google maps and if you type ‘Hayloft and Barn’ into the search it directed us straight to the cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    Laura2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hayloft. Everything was very well thought out; from the shampoo and conditioner in the shower, to the binder that provided us with an array of places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The property was beautiful and the location was right around the corner from town. Angela was there to greet us upon arrival and was incredibly warm and friendly. The hayloft in itself was warm and homey as well. Angela did an exceptional job and providing the perfect little escape for a weekend get away, would highly recommend a stay at the pottery Lane farm.

  • We stayed here for the weekend and loved every minute. The scenery is beautiful, the accommodation had everything we needed and looks as great as it does on the photos. We spent one evening in so that we could make use of the hot tub, which although does take a long time to heat up, was absolutely worth it - even on a cold night in January!! There's plenty to do nearby, so we visited some of the nearby attractions and walked out to eat on the second night (take a torch if walking back after dark!) Emma's communication was great, with detailed instructions of how to find them, info on places to visit, and we knew we could contact her if need be during our stay. Lovely touch to supply the basics for us to make a lovely breakfast with. Can't recommend enough 😊

Emma is incredibly helpful and lovely. The animals on the farm are a bonus. The local area is very pretty. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

  • Emma’s place was idyllic and just what we needed to get away from busy London for a short Christmas break. The Hot Tub was such a lovely touch and despite the temperamental weather, the carriage was warm and we were even given ingredients for breakfast. Would definitely recommend Emma’s place for any couples looking for a romantic getaway!

  • Beautiful carriage in a fabulous location with views over the flowing green hills of the Yorkshire Dales. The log fired hot tub was amazing and we had everything we needed for the stay. Emma was a great host with a warm friendly family, they all helped get the hot tub set up and going for us whilst we were out in the day. Emma gave us lots of suggestions for local pubs, restaurants and sightseeing to do around the area. All in all, fantastic stay.

  • Amazing place, super cosy, out of the way which is just what my partner and I needed! Absolutely love this little place, will definitely be going back. We were able to cook everything we wanted due to local produce not far from where we were and everything you need is provided. Truly is the best place if you want to just relax for a couple of nights. The local villages are great too!

  • FANTASTIC! I don’t know if you could find a better flat in Harrogate. This place is spotless and has everything you need for long and short stays. Less than two minutes from your front door are almost any type of food you could want and multiple local pubs to grab a beer. This place is on the third floor and requires quite a lot of stairs to reach (but it’s worth it). The host is extremely responsive and will sort out any of your issues in a timely manner. A must stay if available!

  • We loved staying in Rob's apartment. It's a great central location for Harrogate, check-in was super easy, and it's a lovely clean stylish place. The chocolate and beers on arrival were great (and check in was a breeze). Harrogate was lovely, we spent the morning wandering round the town, an afternoon relaxing in the Turkish Baths which was just wonderful. In the evening we ate at one of the close by restaurants before relaxing in front of the TV. It was bliss, cheers Rob.

  • An amazing little find and great place to explore the local area, within very easy reach of Ripon and Harrogate. The pub next door serves great food and a lovely atmosphere. Peters place is warm and cosy, we loved having the fire going on an evening. Would definitely come back!

  • Lovley little cottage for two. Very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days away in a nice quiet location with great walking and running routes right outside the door.

  • A charming cottage perfectly located for a romantic weekend away full of walking and exploring the local area. Highly recommend.

  • You could not find a more beautiful location to stay. The cottage was a perfect base and was exactly what was needed. To come back from a hike and get the log burner going was lovely.

    Francis2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Peters place in Grewelthorpe over Christmas. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, the cottage is indeed basically in the pub car park, but this was not a problem during our stay. We were never disturbed by anyone using the pub. The cottage was fine for us and everything was functioning as it should. We would certainly stay here again.

The End Place is a self-contained cottage adjoining Moorhouse Cottage B&B. Downstairs is open plan, comprising a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with wood burning stove. A glass wall ensures uninterrupted views across Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as starry-night skyscapes. Upstairs opens out into a magical, fairy-lit, vaulted bedroom with a king size brass bed adorned with crisp White Company linen and includes en suite with shower.
The End Place is part of a collection of buildings that were added to an 18th century worker's cottage over the course of a little more than a hundred years and now comprise Moorhouse Cottage. The recent conversion for use as accommodation has retained or re-used original features wherever possible, while ensuring modern standards of comfort. Surrounded by rugged moor and hill-farm land, it's an ideal place to get away from it all, while still having excellent access to local attractions such as Fountains Abbey, The Yorkshire Dales National Park and Brimham Rocks, which marks the far horizon when looking out from the front of the house.
Just down the hill is Pateley Bridge (Great British High Street Awards, village winner - 2016), where you can stock up on award winning homemade pies, bread and cake, or wet your whistle in one of the local pubs. Or, if you prefer, a short walk directly from our door along the Bewerley Industrial Heritage Trail brings you to Coldstones Cut, where you can explore Yorkshire’s highest public sculpture, created by Andrew Sabin, overlooking a working Quarry and with spectacular views over Nidderdale and the landscape beyond. Finish your walk by tasting the delights on offer at Toft Gate Barn Cafe, with delicious homemade dishes and a warm Yorkshire welcome from Caroline and Chris. Or simply relax and enjoy the antics of the alpacas and other animals on this unique and quirky small holding. Within 30 minutes you could be enjoying the delights of the spar town of Harrogate, the cathedral town of Ripon, or Ilkley with its own literary and film festivals. Fountain’s Abbey (a World Heritage Site), Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross Caverns are also a must. Or simply get on your bike (this is the land of the Tour de Yorkshire) or put on your walking boots and explore the outstanding beauty of the Dales.
  • Amazing place to stay. The cozy rural setting with the wood burning fire was ideal. Plenty of walks and the shops were only 10 minutes away. Would definitely go again.

    Rhodri2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my partner had the best long weekend here, from feeding the sheep and alpaca’s to walking around the beautiful reservoirs near by. The end place is a beautiful clean and thoughtfully modernised get away with everything you could need for a comfortable and really memorable stay. Really hope to return again soon!

    James2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and relaxing place to be! Loved every minute.

    Ashley2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful few nights staying at The End Place. We felt really lucky to see it in the snow - it felt magical! The animals are a delight, we loved putting the ducks to bed and opening the door to their little house each morning, plus we loved feeding Al & Paco (the two alpacas!) carrots. The position of The End Place is absolutely beautiful and it really is the perfect cottage to retreat to after a day's walking in the dales. The welcome hamper was so thoughtful and Jules even made us a cup of tea when we arrived with fruit cake and Wensleydale (a Yorkshire classic!). We will definitely be back again soon :)

    Emma2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My second visit to The End Place. Such a great place to step off from the busyness of the world, hunker down, watch the natural world from your window, read books and rest. Highly recommended. You can also feed alapaca 😀

    Claire2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet escape in an amazing hidden corner of the Dales, get yourself down to The End Place. You'll be greeted every morning by ducks and chickens and there's even a good chance to feed Alpacas and sheep. What's not to like? If you want to explore or just spend a whole weekend cooped up inside, you won't regret it. The hosts are amazing and very friendly and will make you feel at home from the moment you arrive to the second you leave.

    Alejandro2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Well what can I say, what an unbelievable experience me and my partner had staying here! It's such a little gem! We stayed for a week for our 2 year anniversary and it was perfect. The end place was absolutely spotless with great thoughtful touches, the welcome basket with bread, eggs, fruit cake, tea, coffee and jam to even having dressing gowns and wellies for you to wear. The different areas to explore around the area are great such as coldstones cut, brimham rocks, malham cove and many more! The hosts gave us so much information about different walks in the area, cafes/restaurants and places to visit! We couldn't of wished for more, absolutely perfect hosts! The end place is gorgeous, I would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you again Trevor and Jules! Hopefully we'll be back soon!

    Natalie2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The End Place was exactly what we needed - some peace and quiet to recharge but also an excellent base for exploring the area. The cottage is cosy with a fantastic view over the valley and surrounding Dales. Jules and Trevor were brilliant hosts, providing tips on local places to visit and the friendliest neighbours we could ask for. A particular highlight of our stay was feeding and getting to know the alpacas, ducks, chickens and sheep. We will be back!

  • We had a fabulous time here, the village is very pretty and it was great to have the walks into Hackfall right from the doorstep which was great for walking our dog. The cottage itself has beautiful decor (especially the bathroom) and is really comfortable. We were really cosy and warm despite even having a dusting of snow during our stay. We had great communication from our hosts both before and during our stay. Thankyou!

  • Such a beautiful cottage 😍 it was stylish, cosy and clean! Such an amazing place to spend a long weekend, the village is small, but just what you need when you’re use to working in the city. Good dog walks locally, the Hackfall walk is a must! We also can’t thank Michelle and Clive enough, we struggled to get the fire lit one evening, and they were more than happy to come and get it going for us! Everything you could need and more for a weekend away! We loved it so much and will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends!

  • Really warm and cosy cottage. Lovely clean modern bathroom with shower (even with quirky starting instruction for bath). Lots of hot steaming water. Bedrooms warm and comfortable and lots of space, Kitchen is well equiped although a teapot wold be a good addition. Dishwasher nice and handy. Plenty of cooking utensils and crockery. No shortage of plates etc. Log burner gave off lots of heat and was quite easy to get started. A perfect place to relax and to hide from the dreadful storms and floods. Clive and Michelle only a couple of minutes away if any problems arise so really handy as is the cafe opposite side of road which served a lovely hot bacon sarnie.

We didn’t get to meet the hosts but they were incredibly friendly and informative in communication and the cake and birthday beer were fantastic touches. We had a hit of terrible weather, and it was great to be able to come home to the fireplace. Sarah and her husband were very welcoming and helped us out with any issues straight away. There’s a woodland beyond the castle (view from the window) which is really nice and has a network of walking tracks in it. Can’t recommend this place enough, we’ll happily come back.

  • This cottage is so wonderful. There are so many nice touches that made us feel at home and comfortable. The fire is great after a days walking, the kitchen facilities are perfect and the local shop and butchers are great for everything you could need. The owners gave us advice and help about walks and printed maps which was a really nice touch. Friendly and hospitable people who clearly care about what they are doing. Would recommend this cottage to anyone as offers comfort and a wonderful location for walks and the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.

  • We had a great couple of days staying here. It has everything you need and more! The location is great for exploring the dales. We would 100% recommend that you stay here. Fiona was a great host and even made freshly baked scones for our arrival. We really loved staying here and would definitly return!

  • A perfect little escape for us and Fiona definitely deserves her super host status, the cottage was I immaculate.

  • A perfect stay at a lovely little cottage - topped off with great hosts, thank you Fiona and Nigel!

    Ben2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding! Had the best time during our 3 day New Years Stay at Woodpeckers Cottage. It is truly a home from home with every comfort considered and spotlessly clean. I couldn't think if a single thing that any guest could need that wasn't included. Fiona & Nigel have thought of everything. The homemade mince pies and cake was a lovely welcoming touch as well as the many additional extras in the kitchen incl milk, butter, condiments, oil, fresh eggs, tea, coffee etc. Add to that a cosy log burner, Netflicks on TV, comfy bed, near to many fabulous locations with hosts that go the extra mile for their guests. What else could anyone want? We could not recommend Woodpecker Cottage too highly and will definately be returning!

    Gary2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here - Fiona's cottage is a beautiful, cosy space for a couple to stay. She had left us some christmas cake, mince pies and tea ready for when we arrived, which was such a nice way to arrive. Thank you!

  • The lodge is perfect for a get away from it all break lovely & clean comfortable beds & nice location we loved the hot tub !

    Jane2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning place - we booked 2 nights here and absolutely adored it so we crossed our fingers and thought we would try our luck to stay another night and to our enjoyment, we was able too. The cabin itself is lovely and warm and feels so homely. The hot tub was superb. With the crisp winter evenings it was perfect for relaxing. The best part was being able to bring our little fur babies who absolutely loved their family holiday. Would highly recommend walks in Osmotherley. 5* get away would highly recommend.

    Sian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little lodge and great that the garden and lodge was dog friendly so he could come too! A couple of issues caused by the weather but can’t help the British weather and Georgie was extremely helpful. Hot tub was fantastic!

    Jen2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were looking forward to spending a few days together for a birthday following a very busy period at work. The lodge was an excellent departure from hotels, full of character and so much better than a generic hotel room. The hot tub was excellent, and only a few feet from the door so was even usable in the depths of winter.

    Ian2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Georgie's place was perfect and very private from the rest of the caravan site with an enclosed wall surrounding the cabin, we loved the hotub and surrounding areas and it was a bonus that it is dog friendly, we took our dachshund and he loved it.

An oak framed loft apartment is above a large garage which is accessed by stairs with balcony for tree level seating. The space is not attached to our house and has separate access. The pitched roof gives the apartment a feeling of space and light. with underfloor heating. The outside space is ideal if you want some fresh air. We are in a rural location. We would welcome all visitors.
I am afraid we do not accept dogs here. We have dogs ourselves and love them, but having hens and sheep I have to consider their welfare too.
Located 4 miles from Masham and 4 miles from Ripon, 2 miles from Kirkby Malzeard and 2 miles from Grewelthorpe all with Pubs and other amenities although there are no pubs in walking distance. Details are available for a reliable taxi.
  • Jo’s place is lovely, a stylish, modern apartment on the peaceful farm. Very clean and comfortable, loved the fresh eggs from the farm. I’ll definitely be back.

  • Chequer Barn Apartment is a terrific place to stay. Jo is a helpful host who responded promptly and helpfully to questions. The location is outstanding in the Yorkshire Dales and near to local towns like Masham. The apartment itself is outstanding, clean, spacious and like a home from home.

Market view looks over the ancient and attractive market square with its old buildings and areas of interest. It is central for hotels, shops and scenic walks. You’ll love Market view because it is spacious, well equipped and has a lovely atmosphere. There are a combination of small shops, offering art, clothing, and souvenirs. There is a great selection of hotels, pubs and tearooms. There is an excellent range of local food shops. Many scenic walks are on the doorstep. Babies welcome.
It is a large studio apartment on the ground floor. The king size bed is separated from the lounge. There is a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom. The bath has a shower over it.
It is a lovely and friendly place to live. Everything required to relax, be occupied or to eat well is available in this market town. It is very old and the buildings are beautiful.
  • Amazing, perfectly located in the village. The flat is spotlessly clean and has everything you need and more. Cant recommend this place enough

  • Had a great stay at Sue's place, absolutely ideal location for walking, eating and drinking. Lovely to have a pint of milk already in the fridge and welcoming cake etc. Just the the job for a few day's away

    Adrian2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful! Sue thought of everything. Being from Florida, I appreciated the extra blankets everywhere! We stayed here specifically because it was close to Black Sheep brewery, however, we didn’t know it was in the middle of the market square! It was a pleasant surprise! Lots of parking with a honesty box, warm blankets, comfortable bed, what else can you ask for? Thank you Sue! :)

  • A great little find in a really good location. Clean and comfortable, with everything you need. The little touches like milk for a cuppa and biscuits were a really nice touch, thank you

  • Lovey spacious accommodation, great location !

    Melanie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay at Sue's place! It was lovely and cosy and we loved the thoughtful touches like the biscuits Sue left for us and the daffodils. It was also really useful to have some local tips regarding the local shops and pubs and walk suggestions! We went to all 4 pubs which were all brilliant and friendly and we had a gorgeous meal at the White Bear. On our first night we had fish and chips from just next door!! It was a shame that the market wasnt on Saturday morning due to the weather but we enjoyed all of the quirky shops in the area. We also visited the Black Sheep Brewery which we found really interesting and we had a delicious lunch there! We only stayed a couple of days but felt very much at home and wished we could have stayed longer! Would definitely recommend!

  • Amazing place. Done to a very high standard. Perfectly clean. Close to all the dales walks you could imagine. In a quiet little village, but close enough to other bigger places. Nice and cosy, but still spacious enough. Hosts were very nice. Welcomed us with a few things, and then left us to it. Perfect.

  • Lynn's home was beautiful - it was exactly what we needed! Lynn has it stocked with all the extra touches (tea, coffee, shampoo etc) so we didn't even need to bring loads in from the car! I would highly recommend! Thank you Lynn!

    Jessica2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn's cottage was the perfect stay for us. The location was spot on as i was visiting nearby Masham and my companion visited Ripon we also noted there were many other local attractions within close proximity. the flat was spacious and sparkling clean, with many extra touches like fresh flowers little toiletries, leaflets on nearby places and delicious home made scones. The Furnishings were comfortable with plenty of extra bedding and blankets should we have become cold. As it happened even in March the cottage was a lovely warm temperature. The bathroom was very modern with a low-level shower tray great for those with mobility problems. the kitchen was compact with a microwave, fridge freezer and portable hob. it was well stocked with lots of jams, cereal, milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee. Lynn herself was a wonderful host, quick to communicate and easily accessible through our stay and nothing was too much. she has put a great deal of thought into her letting and added many additional touches and has great plans for the summer months for sharing her stunning garden. i would definitely recommend a stay here for a couple who want to visit a little Yorkshire village and use it as a base to explore the wonderful local countryside and villages. Thank you Lynn we will be back

  • Mill End is as delightful as it is depicted in the listing. Lynn is as perfect an AirBnB host as she is painted in the reviews and all the good things mentioned in those reviews are correct. Wholeheartedly recommended.

    Cheryl2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mill End is a beautiful house, and Lynn’s attention to detail and level of hospitality are outstanding. We enjoyed her very warm welcome, and also the chance to look round her stunning garden. From the red roses and welcome note to the very comfortable bed, Lynn has thought of everything for her guests. The breakfast was way beyond our expectation, with 4 different cereals + porridge , different breads and just so many preserves it was impossible to choose. Add to that fresh fruit and yoghurt and we went out each day on very full stomachs! Every home comfort was in this lovely suite, and it is without doubt the best Airbnb we have found. We shall be back. Thank you, Lynn.

    Janet2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy suite , big bathroom, great little kitchen , lovely touches like breakfast and scones etc Lynn is lovely, great host 😁

    Louise2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • I found another gem of a place. I keep finding these outstanding places and my stay is far too short. From the lovely Lynn who hosts the accomodation to all the extra touches that must come from precious experience in the hospitality trade as I didn't find anything I could have suggested to add. The place was one of the cleanest if not the cleanest places I've stayed. The bed was comfy...I slept better than I have for a while. The breakfast was yummy and more than enough. I wish I could have stayed more than one night to explore the local area more but I will definitely return if Lynn will have me. A great place well above many I've stayed in and no suggestions on this one.

  • Great wee place. Comfortable, well equipped and easy to find.

    Iain2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here end of Jan. Anna was as welcoming as her home, what a lovely place. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. I took no time in lighting the stove which warmed the whole house up so well I didn't need the additional heaters. Location is pretty and the local pub is friendly with decent home cooked food and a short walk away. Nice walks via footpaths round the village for my dog, and not far from the Dales for more adventurous walking. I'd stay here again.

The Courtyard Cottage is perfect for couples who just want to get away from the rush of real life. Set in the tiny hamlet of Timble but close to Harrogate and Skipton. 'Affordable Luxury' is our ethos. Our focus and attention has always been our guests comfort. Beautiful decor, cosy and comfortable, gorgeous bedding to name but a few. A great location also for walking from the doorstep, cycling and fishing. Oh we even have an award winning pub/restaurant a stones throw away!
Formerly a tailors workshop back in the 1800's, then the school teachers house for the village school, next my son's bedrooms/bathrooms etc., then finally back to it's original intention in 2013, a pretty Yorkshire stone cottage. Our conversion was simple,we just put back what belonged and now we have a fabulous mix of contemporary and traditional features for you to enjoy. The upstairs bedroom is full of light during the day and the lounge is calming and cosy by the log burner in the evening after a long day enjoying the Yorkshire countryside. Luxuriate in the beautiful bathroom or watch a selection of movies - provided for your enjoyment. Full self catering facilities are in the well equipped kitchen or you can stroll down to the village award winning pub/restaurant for your meal. The cottage has a private pretty garden for sitting outside after a busy day exploring the Dales.
The cottage is situated in a beautiful hamlet of Timble. There are 26 houses, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, with a chapel, village hall and probably the best pub/restaurant in the area. You only need to walk a hundred yards to get to it. A perfect location if you like walking or cycling as most routes start from your doorstep. We like to describe ourselves as being in the 'middle of everywhere' but equally in a quiet rural location with views to die for. You can easily and quickly reach Harrogate, Skipton, Ilkley, Otley, Ripon, Pateley Bridge, Knaresborough and The Yorkshire Dales National Park.
  • Perfect place for a getaway in gorgeous countryside. We walked to the reservoir and enjoyed the lambs skipping around the fields. Definitely recommend.

  • Beautiful cottage, lovely relaxing break

    Bethany2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely lovely, so quiet, private and peaceful. We enjoyed our time throughly. Close enough to Leeds to have a day out shopping but far enough away from everything to be totally relaxed. Lots of walking and cycling routes close by and the cottage itself is so cosy, we felt very at home. We will be visiting again when we get the chance. Thank you for hosting.

    Natasha2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a lovely few days with our baby. Dawn was a very warm and welcoming host, and checked us in herself. The little touches were a fantastic welcome. Fresh flowers and wine were awaiting when we walked in. The cottage is very cosy with plenty of space for a couple and a baby. The log burner makes for a very cosy evening. The bath was fantastic! The cottage is very well positioned to get out to the dales and Otley and Harrogate are a short drive away. The Ivy is a must visit if you go to Harrogate. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back!

    Peter2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect little cottage in the picturesque village of Timble and is perfect for a quiet and cosy getaway. Dawn was a wonderful host, extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage has little added touches to make your stay feel extra special - the dressing gowns were wonderful! The nearby Timble Inn does a fantastic Sunday lunch, there are lovely walks that you can do right from the doorstep, and Harrogate and Knaresborough are nearby for trips out. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage and will definitely be back for another visit...

    Anna2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! Beautifully presented and had everything you need for a few nights away. Perfect for a base to go and explore nearby towns (we will be back for the walks - the weather was not amazing!). Host was very friendly, greeted us on arrival and showed us around the property. Some lovely touches to the place, will stay again!

    Charlotte2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived on a horrible cold, wet, windy night in the middle of a storm to a toasty warm cottage with a roaring wood fire already lit for us by Dawn. She was on hand to show us the cottage and answer our questions. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back again!

During this difficult time, I am aware there may be people who need to be away from home. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, be assured that you will not risk any close contact with others. Access does not need any interaction between you as guest, and me as host. The bedroom is situated at the top of my family house. Only you will have access to this floor so your bedroom and bathroom are 'self contained' .
Previous guests have commented that the room is very quiet and they have not been disturbed in any way. The bed is a small double and there is wardrobe, with hangers, and drawer space for your personal items. There is a reasonable desk area which is useful if you need a space to work from and wifi is available . Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room. The bathroom comprises of a shower and toilet. Clean towels are always provided and there is a small selection of toiletries available if you find you have forgotten something.
The property is situated in a popular residential location well served by the shops and services of Starbeck. The railway station is a five minute walk, giving easy access to Leeds and York. There is a very frequent bus service that will take you directly into Harrogate. The buses run approximately every 7 minutes and the journey into Harrogate itself takes 10 minutes. Many guests who stay, come because of the Conference Centre or to attend events at the Yorkshire Showground. Both venues are easy to reach and are only a short distance away

  • This is really well located with excellent public transport links. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean, compact and really comfortable. It was nicely located on the top floor and very private and cosy. All the little touches left by Claire were much appreciated and I felt I could call on her anytime if needed. This has been a great experience and I can highly recommend everything about it. I shall definitely return if I can.

  • Brilliant place right in the heart of a town that is perfectly placed to explore the local area. Immaculately clean all over the house and very well decorated and laden with great amenities. Lots of great local deli’s, bakers, butchers etc a minutes walk away. Rooms were spacious and well appointed and the en suite was very handy. We managed to squeeze our travel cot into the single bedroom so our 7 month old even had her own room. Shared by 4 adults and a baby the house didn’t feel crowded at all. Fantastic find that we will absolutely come back to.

Tiplady is a small farm with great views and a place where everything is just a little quirky. The Highland Hideaway is a traditional shepherd's hut set by a stream in a small wooded valley. The hut is cosy with a wood burning stove and has a small sitting out area . The toilets and showers are adjacent to the hut and there is a handy fridge, in a telephone box, just outside. Located close to the Nidderdale Way, Tiplady Farm is perfect for walkers and cyclists or simply somewhere to escape to
Most of our guests agree that Tiplady is different, most important of course is a warm welcome and friendly owners willing to help out with local knowledge of places to visit and where to eat. On top of that we love unusual stuff such as our sheep's head carved from an old tree stump, vintage signs and and old Shell petrol pump to light your way. Usually there are a few old cars, lorries or motorbikes around the place and if you like rare breeds, we have Highland cattle and Herdwick sheep (both Viking breeds). You are also welcome to meet with our working horses if time permits. To help you enjoy your break, you have a choice of places to prepare food on site, there's a barbecue area by the Victorian waterwheel, a hilltop shelter with stunning views and a fire pit or there are plenty of amazing places to eat locally. We provide basic firewood for the hut and for a small charge a BBQ, camping gas stove or a fuel efficient rocket stove to cook on. In winter months it is advisable to bring wellies and a torch. Being remote, Tiplady is a pretty safe place but if you'd like, we can lock your bikes, canoes or pretty much anything else up in one of our barns.
We are in the heart of Nidderdale so plenty of walking and cycling routes. Close by you have Brimham rocks and Fountains Abbey both of which are National trust sites. Within driving distance you have Ripon, Harrogate, York, Skipton and Grassington. Pateley Bridge is only a mile away and has a variety of shops meaning you can pick up all the supplies you need. Why not have a visit to the Oldest Sweet shop whilst you are here.
  • Hut was warm, cosy, comfy and clean. The shower block was immaculate and warm. The host was welcoming every time we saw them and had great knowledge of the local area. Already looking at dates to book again. If your looking at staying in a shepherds hut in York i can highly recommend this place.

    Danny2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an unusual little getaway. Perfect for our short stay, love the fridge location :-) lovely underfloor heating in shower block.

    Neil2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Superb getaway even if the weather was horrendous. The location never lost its charm. The fire place was spot on especially for the winter nights. The hosts were very welcoming and allowed us to easily go about our business but, were always on hand to help if needed.

    David2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay to get away from busy life! Very cosy shepherds hut, lovely when the log burner is going! Brilliant and friendly hosts, we loved the friendly cats and dogs too!

  • We loved our stay at TipLady Farm! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us. The location is stunning and we needed a break to get away and clear our minds - if this is you, book it! You will not regret it. It is so dog friendly and our little dog even made friends with the puppy on the farm :) we will definitely be back!

    Molly2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherd's hut was just what we needed to get away from it all and enjoy the countryside. Gracious hosts, friendly animals, cosy fire and stunning scenery - perfect!

    Libby2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherd's hut is a lovely space in a wonderful farm setting - almost like a small village. We had a great time here, and enjoyed playing with the friendly cats in particular.

    Andy2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous location and hut even in November rain! We got shown the vintage motorbikes and the restored circus wagon and we're given lots of useful information for getting around. Thoughtful touches like a set of fairylights tucked in with the cutlery helped me make a birthday surprise that much better. We walked to brimham rocks and then to the pub, was ideal!

I have enjoyed staying here a number if times as it has everything you need for a night or longer stay neatly contained in the cottage. Plenty of leaflets for suggestions of where to visit, breakfast box & tea, & extra little touches like the occasional home made edible treat or flower display. Flexible, helpful & thoughtful host.

  • Lovely little cottage in the countryside, the kitchen is small but had everything we needed. It was absolutely freezing when we stayed but the cottage was nice and warm and it was very relaxing having the electric fire on in the bedroom looking out at the frost outside. Really lovely little cottage, if you're looking for somewhere rural and relatively secluded but not too far away from the lovely little towns of Harrogate or Ripon then this is a perfect choice.

We provide guests with fire lighters, matches and the all important, high quality, kiln-dried logs to enjoy those cosy nights in. We also provide you with some breakfast essentials - bread, milk, orange juice, butter, jam, six eggs, cornflakes, bananas and apples.
The village is lucky to have two great pubs - The Angel and The Swan, both providing good pub grub. There is also the Crab and Lobster for finer dining, about a 10 minute walk towards Asenby, from the cottage. We are in the prime position for access to towns and cities of North Yorkshire, as well as the stunning East Coast and are close to many great cycling routes, as used in Le Grand Depart of Le Tour de France in 2014, Le Tour de Yorkshire and the UCI World Road Cycling Championships of 2019. Though we hope we will have provided amenities required, there is a Post Office shop across the road in case you require anything else. Topcliffe itself has a lot to be explored (such as a motte-and-bailey castle) and so do the surrounding areas!

  • 5 star facility close to everything with private drive. We would definitely come back and pristinely clean with crisp clean linen. Really is a cosy cottage.

  • Fantastic cottage in quaint village. Everything that you want and need is available in the cottage. Tony and Jaz have really thought about how to make their cottage a home away from home! Brilliant wood burner too , just what you really need after you've been for a walk to the motte and bailey. Definitely recommend a stay at Jaz and Tony's cotters cottage!

  • This cottage was lovely, well stocked and clean. The owners thoughtfully lit the fire for us just before we arrived. Location was good with a nice looking pub just over the road. Recommended

  • This is a wonderfully cosy cottage, with everything you’ll need. Its beautifully decorated and has the most comfy beds! It’s in a great spot and very peaceful, even though it’s next to the White Bear Hotel (with delicious food) - the atmosphere is very gentle. If you find this little gem you won’t be disappointed.

  • Great cottage with all the amenities you would expect. Perfect location for a quick drink at the White Bear pub but still the perfect peaceful getaway.

  • This cottage is really lovely. Very well decorated, spotlessly clean, everything you need is in the kitchen and the beds are really comfy! The radiators heat the whole house very quickly as we stayed in October and it was starting to get chilly at night. The location is also excellent - in the centre of Masham and a short walk from several excellent pubs and the co-op supermarket. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and nice walks. Would thoroughly recommend - a premium cottage in a fantastic location. Thank you for a lovely stay! P.S. The National Trust property Studley Royal Water Gardens isn't far away and is well worth a visit.
