  • The Apple Blossom Cottage is magical; so enchanting and inviting. Sarah and Dominic are wonderful hosts! They have arranged the property perfectly with paths find hidden gems while drinking your morning coffee, and the fire pit gives ample opportunity to enjoy your favorite evening beverage! This space is truly in harmony with Vermont's reputation for beauty, freshness and peace. Thank you so much for sharing. Can't wait to come for ski season! Bonnie Rae!

  • We had a great time at the Tiny House. It was so cozy and a perfect place to stay near Stratton. The drive to the mountain was about 15 minutes. I plan on recommending it to friends and hopefully staying here again!

  • So much fun. The place was so cozy, and I really really appreciated the games

    Jeremiah2015-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was quaint and clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. We loved having the firepit outside to enjoy some evening fires! Sarah left some wonderful resources and books at the cottage for our perusal about the area. It was slightly difficult to cook on the toaster oven/hotplate but we made it work! Overall a wonderful escape at the cottage!

    Laura2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was PHENOMENAL! The property was gorgeous this time of year and I'm sure during every other season as well! It was very easy to find the house and Sarah was there to immediately welcome us and show us around a bit. She let us know that she was there to answer any questions that may come up during our stay and she lived up to that promise! We had trouble getting the toaster to work; I shot her a text and within a few minutes she and Dominic came by to help us out and BROUGHT US CUPCAKES. That act of kindness alone says a lot about the quality of our stay! The fire pit outside is lovely and is where we spent the majority of our long weekend! Can't say enough good things about this place and these folks! We want to make an annual event out of our stay this past weekend! Top notch!

  • We loved the whole hippie, namaste vibe of the quaint space. It was truly aligned with what we were looking for. Perfect oasis.

The hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and gave us all the information we needed. Jane fed us a delicious breakfast and visited with us. We would definitely recommend this house.

Guests have a large third floor bedroom with its private sitting area (with small TV, fridge, and WiFi). Guests have a very short walk to everything in Dorset from the front door, and also to wooded trails from the back yard.

Mixing warm and cozy atmosphere with contemporary living space, it's a perfect home from which to explore Vermont. We love that it provides open views to the woods and even though (like many farmhouses from the 1800s) it was built very close to the road, it feels private and is just a stroll to the picture perfect village of Dorset.
In addition to the house, there is a large deck with table seating for 4 (in warmer months) a sun umbrella and two lounge chairs. You can always use the dining table chairs to add seating outside...Just be sure to bring them in again! :) Attention Artists: The game room with ping pong table can double as a studio. The owner is a painter and can provide easels and worktable. In summer, you can also enjoy the main floor bedroom's balcony seating.
It's an easy stroll to the heart of the village where you can find everything you might need from fine restaurants to prepared foods at the Union general store. World class skiing, golfing, biking and hiking trails are within easy driving distance. In summer, The Dorset Playhouse hosts the Dorset Theatre Festival.
  • Carol's house is great for a quiet getaway - it has a lovely outlook and great fire with loads of comfy couches. The kitchen is really well equipped and perfect for entertaining as you cook. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing time away is a beautiful part of Vermont!

    Rachel2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying at the house. It was just as lovely as before. Carol is a wonderful hostess- very communicative, supremely friendly, makes great suggestions for local activities and restaurants and makes the whole process very easy. She even planned for pending snowfall and it's removal so my friends and I wouldn't have to worry about it! Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

    Katherine2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was such a great host for our weekend in Dorset! She was kind and communicative, and her instructions were thoughtful and so easy to follow. She provided us with everything we needed, including restaurant and activity recommendations. We could not get over how perfect the house was and couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. 10/10, would absolutely stay at Carol's home in Dorset again!

  • This a wonderful house and a great location. A real gem!

    Catherine2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is cozy and in a great location - a quick walk to Barrows House and only 10 minute drive to Manchester. The stoves in the living room and bedrooms add such a nice feel, everything felt clean. Carol was super responsive and on top of it. Highly suggest her as a host and this house as a place to stay when in the Dorset/Manchester area.

    Kaitlin2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very clean and well organized. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking a meal. The location is very nice and there is an old quarry swimming hole a few mins away. My group of 6 friends had a wonderful stay and we would recommend the home. Carol was very easy to work with and the check-in / check-out process was easy.

    Caroline2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home close to "downtown" Dorset. Carol was a wonderful host who communicated very well, gave us recommendations, and also gave us space. She even left us some food we ate for breakfast and a cute welcome note with a chalk drawing of our pup! The house is laid out with a queen bed upstairs in the spacious loft with a private bathroom. On the main floor, the full-sized bed is in a room with a private balcony and half-bath. The main floor also has a large full bathroom with a full shower, and in the basement is a smaller room with a king-sized bed. All the rooms had cute fireplaces for the winter. The whole house is just off the road, with a nice wraparound deck overlooking the woods and the pretty backyard gardens. We were able to take a nice walk to the library and general store in the morning. Thanks, Carol!

    Lauren2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay! The house is beautiful, close to Emerald Lake, Dorset Quarry, and Manchester shopping and restaurants. We loved the Farmer's market down the street. The kitchen was great for cooking and eating in. Beautiful wooded view from the deck.

Come and enjoy the relaxed elegance of Lower Hollow House. Nestled among beautiful gardens with breathtaking views from each window, the house is perfect for a quiet escape. Lower Hollow House has four comfortable bedrooms (3 ensuite with walk-in marble showers), a large living room with a baronial fireplace, an elegant dining room, a sunny summer garden room with views of the Dorset hills, and furnished patios all around the house. We look forward to hearing from you.
Built in 1937 by the president of the largest biscuit manufacturer in New England as a family summer home, the house is a charming Tudor ramble with all original detail, including hand-carved staircase and large fireplace. You will love staying here.
Dorset is a picture-perfect Vermont village complete with village green, a charming general store with wine shop attached, and many shops and restaurants. The Dorset Quarry is a great place to swim in the summer, and Manchester, Vermont, a local shopping destination, is only a short drive away.
  • Shhhhhh. We hit the jackpot, this place is literally unbelievable. Get it if you can, and brag that you did.

    Clay2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hollow House is a premier destination for the getaway crowd to relax, unwind and collect oneself. Lying outside of Dorset in the Green Mountains and just a short drive from Manchester, we couldn't ask for a better place to sojourn during out Fall Foliage tour. We were very fortunate to enjoy a bright, beautiful Autumn Day here at HH. Everyone in the family agreed that this was one of the places they'd come back to for a longer stay. J.B.'s hospitality and communication was top notch during our visit. He provided a rich oral history of Hollow House while checking us in and his breadth of local information was very helpful during our stay. This stay was a true joy. If you're looking for a weekend getaway or launch point from which to explore Southern Vermont / Northwest Mass, consider Hollow House.

    Airic2017-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful house in such a great location! Everything was better than what we expected, from the house itself to the ease of communication with the owner. The house is big and on top of a hill where you don't see anything but nature. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this place is a great choice for you.

    Hamidreza2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in a great location!

    Rachel2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Without a doubt this was one of the most beautiful homes we have rented as a family. Although we selected the home based on the beautiful pictures, it does not do the property justice. Pulling up the driveway you truly say WOW. Absolute peace and quiet and not another sound or house in sight, yet so close to downtown Dorset and less than 15 minutes to Manchester. We only stayed 3 nights and left wishing we could stay a whole month. When we return to the area we won't even bother seeing what else is on the market for rent. J.B. was fantastic at all communication and being at the house to welcome us and show us around when we arrived. He brought some kitchen gifts for us which were a nice surprise to not have to immediately run out to the supermarket. Can't wait to come back to this amazing home! If we could give it more than 5 stars we would.

    Adam2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • LHH is in an immaculate grand house in large grounds in a beautiful setting. JB was very responsive before and throughout our stay. Our family had a great stay and we would highly recommend.

    Daniel2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ok, let's start with the negative. I had to look in the kitchen to find some plastic cups for the bathroom. Now, on to the good stuff. Spectacular does not do justice to this place. We were greeted by our host JB even though we were running late. After a quick tour, we settled in for a 4 day stay with our grown children. Great kitchen with every gadget imaginable. Living room with fireplace, great couches and TV for relaxing. Game room where we played poker with cards supplied by the host. (Sorry we did not get a chance to play Clue.) Beautiful sunroom overlooking the mountains. Bedrooms were a nice combination of new beds and televisions coupled with antique furniture and built-ins. Modern bathrooms with lots of tile and marble. On our final night, we utilized the gas grill to cook dinner and dined on one of the three stone patios as the sun set over the mountains. My only regret is that we did not stay longer.

    Hugh2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoy the Upscale New England Style Mountain Homes that line the drive along the road that leads you to the Lower Hollow House. The house has an old world sophisticated charm with updated modern finishing’s throughout. Mountain views can be seen from every room. This place is truly private and very well taken care of from the inside out. Plus, the glass bottles of local coffee creamer and milk along with Vermont Coffee was a very nice touch. J.B. was very gracious from the tour of the house at check-in and throughout our stay. In-addition, Dorset, VT is a wonderful New England Mountain Town with restaurants and country style grocery/deli stores all within a quick drive down the road.

Our neighbors, just directly below our house, make their own delicious maple syrup, and it is for sale. The Dorset Farmers Market operates on Sundays from 10am to 2pm. • My family I really enjoyed your home Phil and Gwyn. It was clean and very beautiful. We hope to be able to come back and enjoy your space for a more extended time. Thank you very much!

    Nikolaus 2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Snowbound. Obviously we liked it the first time, so we came back and brought our adult sons and their lovely wives. This year it's even better. The owners have expanded one bedroom by four feet on one side. A hand built bear proof shed now encloses the trash bins and tools. Also, the marble patio and fire pit is much larger. I'm sure that Snowbound will become a popular Airbnb attraction. I just hope that it doesn't become so popular that we get frozen out in the future. Thanks, Gwynn and Phil!

    Jim2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 8 very much enjoyed our stay at Phil and Gwynn's. The house is very well equipped from the kitchen and dining area where we mostly hung out to the bathrooms and living room. The outdoor space is great. Checking in was a breeze and the owners were so easy to keep in touch with. They would answer any questions we had very promptly. I honestly have never felt so at home / clean/ or been able to sleep as good in a rental home than I did at Gwynn and Phil's. The location also couldn't be better- right off the main road that takes you to the charming town of Manchester!

    Sarah2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Phil & Gwynn really went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They provided us with many extra touches. The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, condiments, cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc.... The bathrooms had fully stocked with first aid, shampoo and conditioner, extra everything. The fire pit had dry wood, newspaper, a firestarter, etc.... We were able to watch the Olympics on their TV and watch movies on Netflix. These extra touches made a big impression.

    Greg2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Snowbound is even better than the photos and description. The owners clearly have done a lot of upgrading, especially windows and what seems to be an all new, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Furniture and accessories are all "just right" and very much to our own taste. Super clean! The setting is picture perfect, surrounded by trees with a small pond (part of the local quarry operations). The location, too, is perfect. Half-way between Manchester and Dorset so great restaurants and shopping are within easy reach. Hiking and other outdoor activities are readily available. We definitely would recommend this beautiful home and hope to try it again in the future.

    Jim2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Vermont was absolutely beautiful. My friends and I loved the house and Phil & Gwynn were extremely kind and attentive to our questions and needs. I've already recommended their house to other friends interested in visiting Vermont. We walked in to a perfectly decorated house with a warm stove already on waiting for us. Everything we were interested in seeing was only about a 10-15 minute drive away. I would most definitely look for a stay at Phil & Gwynns house when coming back to Vermont. Thank you so much!

    Kaltrina2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous home -- beautifully decorated, super comfortable and equipped with everything we needed! The hosts were charming and most helpful. We arrived to a display of Australian flags in the driveway and a bottle of wine in the fridge!! A great spot from which to explore the Dorset area.

    Sarah2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Phil and Gwynn have a gorgeous home and were very accommodating and easy to speak to. They were easily reached over the phone and through Airbnb whenever we had questions. The home is exactly as described and is well stocked with condiments and kitchen equipment. Everything in the house is well organized and it's very easy to find what you're looking for. It's also incredibly clean and very comfortable. Possibly one of the best homes we have stayed at for our annual ski/snowboard trip. We'd love to come back in the future and will definitely recommend this home to others!

This cozy space feels more like a home than an apartment. • Comfortable and quaint - the apartment is in a wonderful location. Super clean with all of the amenities needed for a one week stay. WE were welcomed with a fresh bouquet of flowers! Denise and Charles were extremely helpful and responded to our questions quickly. Super friendly hosts with alot of knowledge of the area. We stayed for the horse show and it was only 12 minutes away.

  • If you're looking for a quiet place to spend the weekend in Dorset, I can't recommend Charle's one bedroom space more. It was comfortable, warm, airy, and in the perfect location to walk into town. The wedding party that I was helping with was staying at the Barrow's house right down the road, so I couldn't have asked for a better location! If you're thinking about staying in Dorset, don't hesitate with Charle's apartment! Thank you for everything!

  • Lovely apartment on a quiet street. It is nicely located close to everything and an easy walk to the main street. The dog was mentioned in the ad but we did not have any problems. We only heard him once when we were all outside and then it was only 1 bark. The apartment is very clean and well taken care of. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating when we wanted to check in early.

    Wanda2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Spent an amazing weekend in this apartment. Close to everything my girlfriend and I wanted to check out. Would definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area. Thanks so much Charles and Denise!

Our comfortable family home is the perfect place to get away with kids or friends. Enjoy time outside on our deck taking in views or soaking in the hot tub. The house is fully equipped with toys and books for children and a stocked kitchen to keep the adults happy and entertained. Any else you might need is walking distance away and all that Southern Vermont has to offer is a short drive away. Also on site - a chicken coop that produces fresh eggs, daily. Our cat no longer lives at this house.
Cozy house within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. Open lay-out with plenty of amenities. Lots of beds including a crib and pack n' play for your little ones.
Short walk to Manchester Community Library, Manchester Rec Park, great area restaurants and outlet shopping. Quiet setting off the main roads with gorgeous views for every season.
  • 5 Stars all around! The hosts actually undersell this house! It is so close to town (487 feet from Starbucks) with a wonderful porch overlooking the mountains, comfortable beds, and a fully stocked kitchen (fresh eggs). My friends and I rented this house for a summer wedding at Hildene. On Saturday, before the wedding, we walked into town and visited all the shops and sidewalk sales. We fit 11 adults comfortably (if some don't mind sharing the bunk room). There were plenty of linens, two full bathrooms (bonus: one shower has two shower heads), and a very comfortable living space, with a sweet, kitty who loved to be pet. And if you're coming to Manchester with kids, this house would be just as perfect as there is a crib in one room, bunkbeds in another, and plenty of children's literature. We would certainly stay here again for a weekend in Manchester. In the winter, I bet it's just as lovely with a covered hot tub on the back porch!

  • Jason house was great and he was a great host. Very responsive when he needed to be but also let us enjoy the house in peace. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great ski weekend.

  • Jason's place was perfect for a weekend getaway from NYC. Location is great and the house is very nice and accommodating.

    Candace2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is located in a great location making it easy to go to restaurants and stores for after skiing. The house is very beautiful has all of the amenities of home. Jason was a great host and my friends and I felt right at home for our weekend. We all loved Gato the cat. We'd definitely stay here again for our yearly Stratton trip.

    Andrew2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent house for kids and easy 5 min walk to town!

    Ami2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jason is a responsive and communicative host. He checks in and asks if you need anything and responds quickly to your questions. He is concerned about whether you are enjoying your stay in his house. Check in was easy and there was plenty of detail about the house and the surrounding area.

    Kathryn2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home in a beautiful town. We were in town for a wedding and staying at Jason's place was high value for money, compare to the expensive hotels in town. The house is well equipped in a quite area, but a walking distance from the town's center. We were three couples, but there's room for 8 people, if at least 2 of them are children. We also loved the backyard, the chicken and the cat. We didn't use the hot-tub but it seemed well maintained. Jason was very responsive and attentive. We will definitely stay at Jason's place again if we're in town. Thank you Jason!

    Noam2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was absolutely lovely! The host was very communicative and flexible to my party's needs. There were many amenities including a wonderful hottub. There was also an extremely friendly cat we enjoyed hanging out with. Would recommend!

Located in the historic town of Dorset, we are four miles from the center of Manchester Village and just minutes to golf, skiing, fishing, swimming and hiking trails. The area is quintessential Vermont with covered bridges, beautiful town greens, farmers markets and summer concerts in the park. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, as well as several local theaters. Our incredible independent Northshire Bookstore is an inspiration for any age.
Private first floor room with a comfy queen size bed, a den for reading or watching TV and a private bath in between. WiFi available. Lots of outdoor space with private deck, beautiful views, and a fire pit. Enjoy a light breakfast on the deck or in the dining room. Coffee and tea always available.
  • They were very nice and inviting. I wasnt there very much, just to sleep but, they were very accomodating. I slept in the guest room right when you walk in. The shower is down the hall so, They put up a collapsable divider for privacy which was thoughtful.

    Bianca2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you to Dick adn Kate for a wonderful time together. They welcomed me first in the living room and then we settled in to conversation next to the firepit outside. In the morning there was wonderful jam and capote, coffee and a spectacular view. wonderful and relaxing.

    rob2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay with Dick and Kate. Although we arrived very late, they were both up to welcome us and show us around. Our room and bathroom were very clean and nicely decorated. We particularly enjoyed the view into their backyard every morning while having breakfast (organic local yogurt with homemade granola and fresh berries). The area is super quiet, yet not far from Manchester (with good restaurants and a great locally-owned fair trade coffee shop). We did some great hikes, too. You'll love it! Dick and Kate are lovely people. They both went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our short vacation. Actually, it felt like visiting old friends or extended family. Summing up, this was one of our best Airbnb experiences we've ever had and we hope to be back!

    Isabel2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Dick & Kate ‘s place. The house, room, bathroom, garden etc…is very nice and it is perfectly located. Dick & Kate are fantastic host. They are very friendly and welcoming, making the stay an even better experience! I strongly recommend staying with them!

  • Dickinson and Kate were super warm and welcoming. They even invited me to have a glass of wine by the fire on the deck. In the morning they served me breakfast(homemade granola and local vt yogurt). They are thoughtful, respectful and conscientious hosts. It was a pleasure to stay in their lovely cozy clean home.

    Anni2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dick and Kate were wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to help me with my stay, advised on things to do and see, provided fantastic breakfast, and were lovely company. Ideal for anyone, like me, wishing to detox and get some fresh air.

    Tom 'Checkers'2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate, esthetically pleasing, well - located and very comfortable.

    Elizabeth2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Dick and Kate's was wonderful. The house is beautiful and the space itself was excellent (private bath and shower, private sitting room, and private bedroom. Basically, it felt like I had half the house to myself. They were attentive when I had questions yet let me have my space and privacy. The view from their living room is exceptional and they are within a stone's throw of Dorset and very close to Manchester. Complete value! I highly recommend a stay at their home.

Unique Vermont Barn Experience! 1880's restored barn on two acres in Manchester Village across from the Southern Vermont Arts Center. Converted to a photo studio 14 years ago when we moved from NYC; spacious, comfortable, solar-powered, walking distance to town, close to shopping, restaurants, golf, hiking, skiing, etc. Beautiful views, Mount Equinox out front, the Green Mountains out back.
You will enter into a large open living space with a couch, chairs, a desk, a small game table, and a dining table. In one of the large cabinets against the wall there are some games, cards, puzzles, and books. In the kitchen area you will find plates, cups, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, an electric tea kettle, a Keurig coffee machine, a French press, and a mini-fridge. If you would like to do a little cooking while you’re here -- though not necessary with all the great restaurants in the area! -- there is a griddle, an induction stovetop with two burners, a microwave, and a toaster oven, and step-by-step instructions for all of them! The photo studio has been moved up to the loft and that area is not part of the rental space. Outside: Parking is right out in front of the barn in the driveway. The outdoor garden to the north has a few benches and some chairs. It’s a lovely place to sit and read or to look at the back garden. The barn and our house next door is the original farmstead for the Webster Estate - now called the Southern Vermont Arts Center. Our view to the West includes the Arts Center’s Sculpture field in the shadow of Mount Equinox. The barn was built in the early 1880’s and housed livestock until 14 years ago when it was revamped completely into a digital photography studio. It is super-insulated and powered by a solar array out back. Recently, several old trees were taken down in the grove, then milled and used in the conversion to this new AIRBNB space, i.e. the new sliding doors, counter surfaces, bath floor, and tables were built by Les, using this wood. The barn will continue to be used as a studio when needed and you will see traces of equipment throughout. Also, nearly all of the artwork throughout is Les’ work.
  • A very pleasant long weekend getaway from NYC! The space is immaculately clean, with gorgeous interiors and cosy woodburning stove (complete with logs and instructions). Les and Veronica’s Big Green Barn is a place I would definitely come back to. It’s no more than 8 minutes’ drive from virtually anything in Manchester, with nearby Weston and Bennington accessible options, too!

    Kindred2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Leslie's place! We had such a wonderful time at their incredible space. So much space and light - we felt right at home as we walked in and the bedrooms were quiet and spacious even with our little 9 month child. Les was so kind and inviting and was super helpful when we checked in - made you feel right at home. Their property is gorgeous and immaculate and walking and spending time on the grounds was such a great break between a busy work weekend. Can't wait to go back and would recommend this spot to anyone traveling nearby! Thanks Les!

    Emily2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Big Green Barn was fantastic! Les' photography studio turned apartment is really special, the artwork is gorgeous, and it made for an amazing wkd.

    Brian2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was a perfect stay for a weekend trip. The main living space is very airy and open, with great light and big windows framing the views. Beautiful wood details throughout. Conveniently close to town but still quiet and secluded. We ended up having a lovely Japanese lunch at the Southern Vermont Arts Center just across the way.

    Stephanie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars. My family (my parents and wife) had a wonderful stay for a week. The space is amazing; includes comfortable seating for relaxing and reading a book, beautiful artwork created by the host, and separate sleeping areas which offer privacy. The surrounding grounds and vistas are breathtaking. The hosts were super communicative and very welcoming. I would recommend staying here to any couple or small group.

    Matthew2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Big Green Barn is a charming location close to Manchester center making it a great location for exploring this eclectic town. The house is cheerful, well appointed and grounds are beautiful.

    Maryanne2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • A terrific home and lovely hosts. We couldn't have asked for more.

    James2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place is close enough to shops and restaurants but far enough to feel like you’re in the country. The space itself is gorgeous with lots of artistic flair and big windows to enjoy the landscape. Leslie made all the shelves and counter tops himself and the artwork is also his - quite talented. Kitchen has everything and they left us some grapes and eggs plus coffee, sugar and creamer. I used the French press - it was delightful. The bathroom is spacious with great counter space and the soft water system is great for your skin and hair (also loved the shampoo). Comfortable bed and we liked the lighting options around the place. We really loved using the cast iron stove - warmed up the house quickly and was better than a fireplace. Overall an amazing stay, super charming hosts and great memories of Manchester.

All about comfort and views, this house is close to both Manchester and Dorset Villages, convenient to both the ski slopes and the Summer Festival (horse show). With outrageous views, a large fenced yard for dogs, a private location, gorgeous light and tons of space, you’ll love your stay! The area offers every outdoor activity imaginable, great restaurants, art galleries, history, and shopping (including the best bookstore)! The house is perfect for families, reunions, holidays, and retreats!
The house is a two-level ranch, with an open floor plan - 1 master bedroom upstairs (with spa bath), 4 bedrooms downstairs (with private baths). Every room is full of light and an amazing view of the Green Mountains. The backyard is a 2-acre oasis, fenced for dogs. Enjoy the views from the upstairs deck or the downstairs private patio.
The house is on a quiet and private road, halfway between Dorset and Manchester. It is set up a bit, so the views are incredible. You won't see another house or person if you don't want to!
  • Pam was very quick to respond to emails (usually under 10 minutes). The home is on a very quiet road with an amazing view of the mountains. The view can be seen from every bedroom. When we arrived the place was extremely clean. Would highly recommend this location; the house is gorgeous and the hospitality was great.

  • Amazing view, great place for young kids to safely run around. Caring host who left us kid-friendly things (whole milk, yogurt pouches, etc...) Really well-maintained home.

  • This absolutely stunning house was a pleasure to stay in. Kimberly and Pam are lovely people and were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. With one of the best views in Dorset, this house made our trip to Vermont exponentially better. Our puppy loved the stay too!

    Ian2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a serene setting. Hosts are very accommodating. A perfect vacation rental.

    Kristin2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This Vermont home has an amazing view of downtown Manchester. We loved watching the fog roll in each morning. The house itself is clean and spacious. There are plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms throughout. The caretaker Pam was VERY helpful and responsive whether it was trying to track down an item we personally forgot to bring with us, offering suggestions for places to eat and hike or coming to the rescue when the water stopped working. Our only suggestion (as couples who love to cook) would be to add a few more varieties of cooking utensils and pots. If you have the idea of inviting a family larger than 6 and want to all eat together at a table, that may be a little difficult as the table is a high top (it’s beautiful) but only fits about 6 adults. Also bring your own lawn games! We recommend visiting Manchester- it’s about a 5 min drive . And go hike up to the Dorset quarry- a short uphill hike around the corner (drive there- ask Pam for directions).

  • We rented this home for family members for our wedding wedding and they had a wonderful time. They RAVED about how amazing it was (especially the steam shower, which they were very excited about!) Thomas and Janel were very helpful leading up to their stay; even giving us names of friends in town that we could hire as babysitters! Thank you for helping to make our wedding weekend so spectacular!

    Maura & Dana2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had. Thomas and Janet were quick to answer any questions we had and the house was incredible. The steam shower and tub are far better than we expected and the home automation system is top of the line. Blankets, games and other amenities are scattered around the house and the general home design is like something out of an architecture magazine. Would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend of comfort and relaxation.

    Harry2016-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • My group of friends and I stayed at Thomas and Janel's home for a wedding in Dorset and the house could not have been more perfect. Thomas was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the entire weekend, suggesting local restaurants and activities for us, as well as being available to answer any questions about the house. We had 9 people staying and each person/couple had their own room/bathroom which was an incredible feature. The house itself is stunningly beautiful, very cool modern features and the most epically gorgeous Vermont views. We were expecting an extremely lovely home, but it really took our breath away, the photos don't do it justice. Only a 15 min drive to Manchester, and 5 minutes from Dorset center-of-town, our group made use of the amazing location and had wonderful meals in both towns, but the real star meal was the steak we cooked at home on the deck grill and in the beautiful chef's kitchen. We all cannot wait for another excuse to come back to Vermont and rent this house again!

  • Nancy was extremely hospitable and answered any and all questions I had. It was a very smooth process checking in and out. She really made the place feel like home (i.e helping myself to tea, making coffee, bagels, etc.). She even offers you a delicious homemade tart! It honestly might be the best tart I've ever eaten. Everything was superbly clean and I had no issues whatsoever. She gave me great hiking advice too. I highly recommend making a trip up to stay at Nancy's.

We renovated my shoe making studio into a new, modern, clean guest house perfect for one or two adults. It's just a 10 minute walk to downtown where you will find restaurants, shops, a cinema, a rec park and our award winning Northshire Bookstore! Manchester is nestled between the Green & Taconic Mountains and offers a wide variety of activities including the Appalachian Trail, mountain day hiking, road & mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, antiquing, shopping, local theater and art.
Located down a flight of stairs and at the end of a hemlock boardwalk, the studio is a private and separate building in a peaceful corner of our property. Designed by my husband Alan (an architect) and finished by me (an interior designer) in a modern rustic style. • We came to explore Manchester and the surrounding areas of VT and the Shoe Studio was the perfect place for my husband and me to stay. We wanted a simple but stylish decor with privacy in a great location and this was exactly what we got. Nancy and Alan were great hosts, providing great local suggestions for eating, hiking, biking and sight seeing pre and during the trip. The Shoe Studio location was private and walkable / bike-able to Manchester and located close to major routes to explore more of VT. The small sustainably built unit housed a beautiful bedroom and bath with all the special touches of toiletries, a small fridge stocked with fresh water, a few local beers, an electric teapot and all the amenities needed for tea and coffee anytime. There is enough room for two including a very comfortable bed, small dresser, open closet and corner sitting area......or sit outside on the deck. Since we weren’t in the room for most of the day, we didn’t need a tv and it was nice at night to come home to a peaceful atmosphere and wifi was available to keep up with the world. We hope to return again and stay at this unique and lovely residence. Thank you Nancy & Alan for your hospitality!

  • The shoe box accommodation was upscale and luxurious. We felt like our needs had been anticipated. There were many thoughtful touches including a fridge stocked with organic half and half and almond milk for the morning. We enjoyed sitting on the deck gazing at the beautiful gardens. Maps of the local area made me want to come and hike the trails next time! Quiet neighborhood very convenient to the center of town. Just lovely all the way around.

  • If you appreciate great design, you will love this spot. Every last detail has been considered, and the result is perfection. This is a perfect, quiet little retreat to use as a base for exploring Manchester and the rest of southwest Vermont.

  • Nancy and Alan's place is really charming. Neatly appointed and designed with great taste and attention to details. It is close to the main house but it has his own parking spot and pathway to the front door giving us as much privacy as we wanted. Our host provided us with fresh beverages in the refrigerator, tea and coffee, milk and non dairy milk too! We definitely recommend Nancy and Alan's place.

  • Nancy was a wonderful host. The Shoe Studio is nestled among the beautiful gardens and plants on the property. The inside of the studio has a very artsy, comfortable feel, and there is great attention to detail filling every corner. This is a beautiful property and I would very much recommend it!

    Matthew2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • I've loved Nancy & Alan's home since I was really, really little! I was excited to learn the guesthouse was right next door. It was just right for me for the 4 days I traveled alone to visit my folks & family in Vermont. It reminded me of traveling in Scotland- very efficient, very cozy & it had everything I needed for a peaceful trip to my 2nd favorite state. (I live in Maine after all!) I admit I was out all day & returned late every night- but when I did, it was just right. I'd definitely stay there again. Thank you Nancy & Alan.

    Hilary2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Rest, recharge, relax! The Shoe Studio was amazing. If you need to unwind and recharge then you need to visit Nancy and Alan's. The bed is absolutely amazing, the location is great and the studio is spotless.

Formerly the summer retreat of master artist Luigi Lucioni, you'll enjoy the unique and intimate beauty of Vermont during your stay at Artmaker Farm. Studio space is available and plenty of en plein air inspiration on the private 2.5 acres.
Artmaker Farm is an 1820's summer home once owned by the renowned local landscape artist Luigi Lucioni. Renovated in the late 1980's, it retains many of its original and unique characteristics on 2.5 acres. A shed, once used for equipment storage, is now the windowed dining room and kitchen with original beams and unavoidable sloped and creaky floors. Bordered on one side by a bubbling brook, the house is hidden from neighbor homes by berms, landscaping and woods; it is very private. We are 1.5 miles from the town center. Our available guest room rental, maximum 2 people, has a side chair and desk in addition to the full-size bed, chest of drawers, and large walk-in closet. It is located at the very quiet northwest corner of the house. Please ask about available studio space if you're inspired to create during your visit. Welcome to Artmaker Farm!
1.5 miles from the center of Manchester, our home is within 20 minutes' drive of the majority of local attractions — Bromley Mountain, Stratton Resort, Hildene, Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester Discount Outlets, Equinox Drive, Merck Forest, the list goes on. We are within 10 minutes walking to the trailhead for Lye Brook Falls.
  • Beth and Michel are absolutely wonderful and their home is lovely, situated in a beautifully serene location and at the same time just minutes from the center of town with shopping and good restaurants. Beth and Michel are such kind and generous people. They were so helpful in making recommendations for places to go (e.g. hiking) and providing maps. We had an absolutely fabulous time. It was so relaxing and restorative. We were planning our trip back again before we left!

  • This property is so beautiful and peaceful, I didn't want to leave. Beth was warm and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable as expected. We especially enjoyed a quiet evening on the back porch and the close proximity to all Manchester has to offer. A great choice in the area.

    Erin2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beth was extremely hospitable and easy to communicate with during our stay. The room is upstairs and though you share a bathroom with Beth's family, not once during the weekend did we have any overlap. Her dogs make great company and the property itself is relaxing and thanks peaceful. Thanks again for a great stay!

  • I felt very welcome & comfortable staying with the Whitakers. The property is beautiful & Manchester center is a short ride away. Great experience.

    Kelly2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just as advertised. The property is absolutely beautiful and tucked away (but close) to Manchester Center. It was an easy drive to Stratton Mountain for a fun day of skiing. We enjoyed getting to know Beth, her daughter and their dogs. The accommodations were clean, cozy and comfortable and Beth was always available for a good conversation or restaurant recommendations. We loved the warm croissants and homemade apple butter with coffee in the morning. A special touch before the day! We hope to be back soon.

    Pete2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beth was very welcoming and professional in her demeanor at all times. She made us feel at home immediately, but was always respectful of our privacy and need for quiet. Beth's family members were similarly friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat, shop and swim in the area. We would definitely return to this place. Beth's home was conveniently located just outside the touristy area and provided peace and quiet as well as easy access to amenities. The largest sugar maple I have ever seen was the highlight of the farmyard.

    Florence2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beth and Michele were fantastic hosts! Their home is warm and inviting, with beautiful scenery surrounding the property. We felt like family from the moment we arrived! The coffee each more was such a treat, so were the croissants and delicious homemade muffins! We won't hesitate to visit them again- we'll be back!

  • We had a wonderful experience staying with Beth in Machester. The house was beautiful and the location was picturesque. Beth and her family were incredibly generous and kind hosts, and their pets were lovely additions to the home.

This 100 year old Dutch Colonial was just completely remodeled and is historically correct. It fits perfectly amongst the homes on the Dorset Green which are painted white with dark green shutters! Sit on the front porch and take in the scenery!
The Musser House is perfectly situated on the Dorset Green! The house has been completely renovated with a brand new kitchen, modern amenities and upscale decorating. The interior design is fresh and new, but also captures the antiquity of the home. With 6 bedrooms, the house comfortably sleeps 14 people. There is a beautiful front porch and a spacious "new" back deck with a BBQ for enjoying the surrounding green mountains.
House is located on the Dorset Green is the "Historical District" of Dorset.
  • 5 stars. Beautifully furnished, well-equipped home in an ideal location for a wedding weekend in Vermont. Comfortably fit multiple families. Laura was a gracious and responsive host. A gem of a house!

    Maura & Dana2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky to be the first ever renter since the Callens re-did the house. The house is truly beautiful - an old architectural gem but with all the comfort of a just-finished gut-renovation. It is also perfectly located on a central street of Dorset, surrounded by other similarly looking houses. It is also perfectly located, just 15mn away from Bromley Ski and 30mn from Stratton. Manchester and its outlets and great little grocery stores (amazing butcher) and a really great bookstore was just 10mn away. We also jogged a lot - lots of trails and roads that are not very frequented by cars and where the sightseeing is beautiful, with the background of the Green Mountains. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, a brand new TV with all connectivity (Netflix etc), very good quality wifi, phones, tons of wood to use in both the fireplace in the living room and the wood stove in the family room, family games, books for kids and adults etc. Laura was super reactive before, during and after our stay. Everything worked well and the house was well equipped for all our families (we were 3 families with kids ranging from 12 months to 5 years old). She even set us up with a well-though welcome package with starter delicacies. Overall, an amazing stay and we hope to be back soon.

Close to Manchester but far enough away for that peace and quiet of the country. You’ll love it because of the comfy beds, the gourmet kitchen, high ceilings, tons of living/game room areas, and the expansive mountain and pond views. There is a large deck with seating, stone patio with fire pit and plenty of room to roam with the national forest right out the back door. It is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Close to Stratton and Bromley.

(This is the second bedroom to my other listing. Each bedroom has two twin beds) A wonderful home snuggled in the Green Mountains of Vermont. It is located in the picturesque town of Manchester. The home is furnished with antiques and old hand crafted rugs covering beautiful wide pine floor boards. Two bedrooms located on the 2nd floor share a modern bath with rain-head shower. Both rooms are equipped with twin beds and comfortable mattresses. The friendly host treats her guests to a delicious cooked breakfast. Bromley Mt ski area is only 7 miles away, and Stratton Mt ski area is 15 miles away. There are many interesting restaurants and specialty retail stores in Manchester. Manchester is the home of Hildene, the former summer estate of Robert Todd Lincoln, the Southern Vt Art Center, and the Manchester Music Festival.
  • Pat was the sweetest host and her home was lovely. She made us very comfortable, cooked us delicious breakfast, and gave us great tips on things to see and do in Manchester. It was wonderful to sit and enjoy Pat's garden or chat with her at the table. We had a really great time and would love to stay with Pat again if we're ever back in Manchester. I would definitely recommend Hemlock Ridge to anyone.

  • We decided last minute to change our plans due to the weather. Pat was so warm and accommodating. She engaged with my daughter so easily. Breakfast was wonderful, as was Pat's company. It was like being welcomed home. Pat knows much about the area; and gave us the right balance of engagement and privacy. Her home is very beautiful and the rooms and bath were spotless and well-stocked. It was a short ride to Stratton and downtown Manchester. We look forward to visiting Pat and Manchester, VT again soon.

  • Pat was waiting for me when I arrived, offering me something to drink, and making sure I had everything I needed. Her home is immaculate, yet warm and welcoming. Pat makes a wonderful breakfast, and I was lucky enough to have her eat with me. She is truly someone I wish was my neighbor, friend or family. She is interesting, and a true delight! The location is close to town. What else could you want?

  • Pat was a lovely hostess. Very kind and generous. Always offering tea/coffee or breakfast. I was only sorry I couldn't take her up more often on her offers of generosity. The room was clean, tidy and very large and the bathroom was spotless. She's a lovely hostess and I hope to be able to stay again one day soon.

Right out your door you have access to: walking and hiking - to local caves, quarries, and ponds - as well as x-county skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. • This was our second time staying at Sandy and Mike's place, first summer now winter. It's beautiful here in either season, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. Nicely located off the beaten path with gorgeous mountain views, this house is still an easy 10-15 minute drive to the center of Dorset or Manchester.

    John2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a pleasure to stay at Sandy & Mike's cottage! Not only does the backyard offer amazing views but the cottage itself is quaint, cozy, & beautiful. It's very close to the center of towns Dorset & Manchester. If you need anything Sandy & Mike are on the property & are easy to reach. Since no one was checking in the next day they were kind enough to let us stay an extra night! I would definitely come back to Dorset Hill Cottage!

    Michelle2016-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our ski trip at the cottage was fantastic. The place was bigger than I was expecting and very close to both bromley and stratton. We were very warmly welcomed even though we arrive very late at night. With a bottle of local wine, breakfast supplies and a fireplace we couldn't be more satisfied. We will come back for sure in the spring because the place is probably even more charming when you can make use of the terrace. A++

    Martim2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our visit to Dorset/Manchester was off-season (we are not skiers) and we were looking for a respite from the city. Sandy and Mike were exceedingly helpful and kind. Their cottage is adorable and spacious, more so even than the photos would show. They went above and beyond with recommendations for sights to see, shops and museums and taverns to visit in nearby shires, and made us feel welcome and able to make the very most of our time in Vermont. Generous and lovely hosts! The view is amazing, the mountain is great and the town is darling. We will certainly come back and recommend anyone (skiing or not) visit this dreamy little abode. Idyllic privacy and magnificent hosts.

    Eva2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience with AirBnB so we weren't sure what to expect, but our stay at Dorset Hills Studio could not have been more perfect! Now, the bar has been set way high. For starters, the pictures on the listing are great but they don't even do the actual space justice because it's so gorgeous and beautifully decorated in real life! You feel like you're standing in the page of a magazine. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Sandy and Mike, our wonderful hosts who live in the house next to the cottage. Right off the bat, they'll feel like your favorite neighbors - warm, friendly, great to talk to! They gave us a tour of the space, explained everything we needed to know and provided a very helpful printout with WIFI passwords and TV/HBO/DVD instructions. They even left us some groceries in the fridge and a (very delicious) bottle of eggnog to share (which we did pretty much right away!). Everything you could possibly need to feel like home is in the house. Also, we were there during the winter so the fact that it was always perfectly heated (floors included!) was a big, big plus. Onto the location - it is on a very quiet country road across from the woods, where you can hear the relaxing sounds of a creek. On the deck at night, you can look up to see the stars as clear as you ever! A short drive away are great little shops and restaurants, including a tasty breakfast spot called Up For Breakfast. For skiers and riders, Stratton is about a 40 minute drive (25 if you use Sandy and Mike's shortcut) while Bromley is just 15 minutes away - perfect for a half day of riding in case you wake up late and spend a bunch of unplanned time hanging in the beautiful cottage, because trust me, you will do that. It is an amazing space with amazing hosts. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about our stay! It was the absolute perfect way to end 2014. We will definitely be back!

    Jason2015-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy and Mike were there to welcome us to their lovely cottage. They had stocked the fridge with snacks and a bottle of champagne, such a sweet touch. The house itself was just as pictured, if not even nicer than the photos. The view from the back porch was absolutely gorgeous. The house was very comfortable and cozy. I just wish we could have stayed longer and gotten to use the kitchen a bit. It was a great experience and I hope we get to stay there again in the future.

  • It was a Wonderful stay, Sandy and Mike gave us a big warm welcome and gave us a tour of the place. The accommodations were great, location was awesome for skiing and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful cottage, it exceeded expectations.

Other places not to be missed are: + The Dorset Union Store on Church Street + 3 Pears Gallery (great art!) on Church Street + H.N. Williams Store on Route 30 (original Country store) + J.K. Adams (great place for everything related to kitchens and some decorating; also hosts indoor farmers' market on Sundays in winter months) + The QUARRY right on Route 30 (great swimming hole, super popular)
  • I stayed in Daniela’s home with 4 friends. We were visiting Dorset for a wedding at Barrow’s House. It was perfect for our needs. The house is perfectly clean, very well appointed, and just a short drive from Dorset’s main drag. Daniela greeted us with delicious treats from a local bakery. She was warm and friendly and it was clear that if we’d needed anything she would have been very responsive. Highly recommend!

    Christine2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • THIS HOUSE IS A MUST STAY!! Beautiful, spacious and SO clean. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend inside and this house had everything we could need. The house has many updates throughout, including the open kitchen/dining room area. I spoke with our host, Daniela, numerous times before and during our trip. She was always available and willing to accommodate. I had a question about the TV/DVD player setup and Daniela assured me that a newer TV was going to be installed before our stay, and it was, as promised. We loved that we were in a more secluded area but close enough to Manchester and the town of Dorset if we wanted to venture out for dining or other activities. We would not hesitate staying here again!!

A luxurious cottage set on a half acre in downtown Manchester. Radiant heated floors keep you cozy in the winter. It has a fully equipped kitchen, premium cable tv, wifi, comfortable living room. King bed and gorgeous bathroom.
A luxury, 720 sqft, one bedroom cottage. It is located in the heart of Manchester. Walking distance to dining, shopping, antiquing and cinema. Skiing is a short drive. Bromley 7 miles and Stratton 15 miles. Outdoor patio, hot tub, fire pit and gas grill I live on the property, so I'm available to them if they have questions or need advice local activities.
I love its proximity to town and all that it has to offer. You need to drive to ski but everything else is within walking distance. Manchester Designer Outlets, tons of restaurants (both high end and casual)
  • This place is phenomenal. It is exactly like it is shown in the pictures and as described. Take the day to walk around the quaint town (with so many great places to eat and shop) and come back to warm floors, a spa shower with six shower heads and a bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud. Only 15 minute drive from ski slopes. Joan was a great host, lives on property and was so nice and helpful.

  • Every once in a great while, you run across a real gem on AirBnB. Tucked In is just such a place. Don't even look any further - book it at once! Warm, spacious, quiet, beautifully designed, decorated with a calm simplicity, ultra clean, and brand new. Truly a luxurious, lovely place of serenity. Joan also a thoughtful, helpful, and unobtrusive host. Five stars.

  • Joanie's cottage was so warm & welcoming. It's walking distance to the center of town where there's shopping & restaurants. The heated floors were nice to come home to on a rainy chilly day. We would definitely stay here again!

    Michelle2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Walking distance to everything yet very secluded and quiet.

  • Joan's place was absolutely beautiful. I had toyed with the idea of heading somewhere more remote.... But, let's be honest- I'm lazy and want good restaurants locally. Definitely try silver fork and make the trip out to SoLo. Good eats. The pad was absolutely gorgeous.

  • We had such a wonderful stay at Joan's cottage. The place looked exactly like the photos and was immaculate! The floors are heated - a very nice surprise. Perfect location being walking distance to town. We definitely will be back!

  • We had a wonderful time at Joan's lovely property! The cottage was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and every detail was so well thought-out - from the soft bedding to the gorgeous bathroom. The location was perfect - only steps from all the shops and restaurants of Manchester. Joan was a wonderful host, accessible when we needed her, but she also completely respected our privacy. Overall it was a lovely stay and we wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic place!

Our home is a large colonial style house with a front porch and a large deck on the Dorset Marsh. We are within 7 miles of the Horse Show and just down the road from the Dorset Quarry for refreshing summer swimming. We are also just a mile from Dorset Village and the Dorset Theatre and 6 miles from mega shopping in Manchester.
  • My group loved staying at Diane's house. There was lots of space and plenty of privacy for individual guests, a tranquil atmosphere that was relaxing, and location is perfect - close to Dorset Village and to Manchester Center. Thank you for a great stay!

  • Great place to stay. Highly recommended.

  • This is a wonderful place for a Vermont getaway. It's super clean and spacious, with a very well equipped kitchen (and when I was actually rude enough to complain about the lack of tongs, Scott ran right over with a pair from his own kitchen!) We had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy. A wonderful place to come home to after a day of skiing. We will definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to the area. Highly recommended!

    Sara2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything we wanted and more! This was our first Airbnb experience and we were thrilled. Scott was very quick to answer questions before and after we booked. Everything was very easy, the home better than our expectations, and Scott went above and beyond assisting us with our stay. We enjoyed using the kitchen and even the fireplace. A great place to relax to after a day of skiing. Much better than staying at a motel or b&b. We are hoping to stay here again next year! Highly recommended!

  • Williams Home was perfectly organized and well located.

  • Thank you William & Nancy for being wonderful hosts. I should say it is home, sweet home :)They keep the home clean, good to go and informative if you need some suggestions where to visit around. Although I could not spend much time in the house (other than just for sleeping and getting ready for my conference thing) but my family did. They were all comfy and happy along with my baby girl. I would recommend for anyone who is looking for charming and quiet get-a-way :) (FYI: home is beautiful in person than in pictures- #skylight in BRs, #sun room and #big backyard)

  • Cozy, peaceful, close to nature, with a great... no, fantastic host. I will stay here again if I get a chance to return to this little spot of heaven. Would be perfect for long stay in any season. By cozy I mean comfy, not small. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and living area being downstairs and bedrooms upstairs was a good fit. This home is secluded, yet only a few blocks off main road and accessible to all the areas to explore. Our host was more than available and gave us complete privacy when wanted and also so helpful when we needed that. He knows the " special finds " such as the unbelievable Mad Tom Orchard a mile and half up the road, as well as nitty gritty of area services when we had car problems.

    Jill2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • William's house was a real surprise to us, and he was the nicest host we've ever me. He gave us plenty good suggestions on the views and he got a lot of card games which provided us a wonderful night. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy too. We'll definitely come back one day!

Sykes Hollow Farm is a peaceful, private, happy place on a dirt road. Close to Dorset and Manchester and all their accompanying activities. We are about an hour from Woodstock, VT, Saratoga, NY and Williamstown, MA. 15-20 minutes to the horseshow. We are a farm for retired horses in the gorgeous Mettowee Valley. Fields, mountains and a pond are all here in addition to the horses and chickens! Good for couples, solo & biz travelers who want to experience an amazingly beautiful farm setting!
The barn apartment is actually just that! You will live in the barn! Of course your space is totally separate. The living area is sunny, comfy and cozy! There is a bumpout for coats, shoes and bags. A studio style set up with full size bed, sitting areas and bathroom. No kitchen! Hotpot for boiling water, microwave and small refrigerator are in the apartment. I provide tea, coffee and hot chocolate mix. (No tv or a/c either! Fan provided.) You do live near the chickens, so expect to hear the cluckings and cockle-doodle-do'ings! The farm has a generator in case of power outages. I am a firm believer in attention to detail so you are able to relax and enjoy your holiday! Need more space? Visit Vermont Pond Apartment... the other housing available on the farm!
Sykes Hollow Farm is located in the gorgeous Mettowee Valley of southern vermont. Primarily farm land, dairies, mountains and woods. The Mettowee runs the length of the valley. Several minutes to Dorset and 15-20 minutes to Manchester. Bromley, Stratton and Killington are thirty minutes to an hour and fifteen away. The farm is 20 minutes to the horse show.
  • Staying at Pam's has exceeded my expectation. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The apartment was cozy and adorable with everything to make you feel at home! I cannot express my gratitude. She was kind enough to reach out everyday to ask how my horse was at the show and if needed anything she was there! I cannot wait to come back. I give this home 5 stars and Pam 10!

  • Pam's place and location are gorgeous! She has been the kindest and most generous host, preparing for us the coziest and warmest place and supplying us with any needed information about the area. All around us were nature, fresh air, majestic horses and blue skies... Our stay was absolutely perfect and the quiet and beauty that we experienced were priceless! Highly recommended little gem!

  • Privacy, except for friendly horses and chickens!! Wonderful hiking and swimming in a clear green pond. Thoughtful host. Convenient to notb Dorset and Manchester.

  • What a great find! Pam made us feel right at home. Super nice host!! The space was cozy and clean and the views are spectacular! Great get away from the city. We hope to come back again.

  • We loved the location and the beautiful farm. Pam is a fabulous host and great communicator, and she provided lots of unexpected "made in Vermont" snacks.

    nellie2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived, we were greeted with a big welcoming sign with my name on it. The two gentlemen living and working there were very accommodating and helpful in every way. Pam left us a very detailed note outlining the things to do and see in the area and neighboring towns and villages, and was more than hospitable to us. This place was extremely clean and in the most peaceful area. Like most places in Vermont, you definitely need a car to get there, but it's worth it. I highly recommend this "barn" and would love to go back again!

    Jason2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely apartment in a peaceful, picturesque setting. It's clean and comfortable, set well back from the main road. Pam, the host, was warm and attentive - and provided us with lovely locally made snacks! It is minutes from Dorset, Manchester, the Merck forest, and other regional destinations. Highly recommend!
