  • Charles & Sue couldn’t have been more welcoming, their knowledge of the local area and recommendations were a great help. The coach house is perfectly situated overlooking the Loch, and only 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The log burner was a real highlight for us, adding to the look and feel of the ‘Charming Coach House’. You won’t be disappointed!

  • The place is spacious, perfectly located and comes with great amenities such as a log fire and coffee. Check in is easy, and the location is perfect for access to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, the Nevis region and local supermarkets/ restaurants etc. A great place to stay if you're planning on enjoying all the highlands has to offer, of if you get stuck inside for bad weather. Highly recommend.

    Christopher2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, surpassed expectation with a great host to boot. We will be revisiting.

    Stephen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Charles place was stunning! Loved every bit of it. We were welcomed on arrival. This was indeed one of the best houses I stayed in Scotland. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious & the house was beautifully decorated. There was also Netflix and a cozy fireplace in the living. Charles was kind to help us with it & teach us when we said we were unsure on how to use it. It kept us warm. Everything was perfect for us and the view from the living/bedroom was lovely. Easy to find the house. Highly recommend to stay here!

  • The nicest people you will meet in your life. Wish I could give them a 10 star rating. 5 stars isn't enough. Hospitable, clean, welcoming, so accommodating. They love a good chat. They have thought of everything you could need during your stay. Anything you could hope for, and so much more. Would definitely recommend! We want to come back in the future.

    Hanah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A very open and warm welcome. The breakfast was extensive and very tasty. You are completely pampered and thought of everything. Location is nice and everything clean. Nice bed. Definitely recommended to stay.

    Jeltje2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect: the welcome with a tea and a treat, the view from the bedroom and the living room, the decoration of the room, the cleanliness of the place, the breakfast much more rich than imagined. Paula and Aidan are golden people! Aidan cooked us some pancakes, which were absolutely delicious. Paula took care of us from start to finish, she was really pampered. To date, it is one of the best Airbnb where we had the opportunity to stay. We will certainly return to Paula and Aidan if the opportunity arises. Our only regret is to have spent only one night there. Book here, you will not find better in the surroundings!

    Clem2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Paula and Aidan were great hosts! They were extremely welcoming, giving us drinks and snacks at every opportunity. They also helped us plan our sightseeing while we were in the area, and for when we traveled to Skye later on. The breakfast was also delicious; Aidan is a great cook. Would come back again!

    Max2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was just brilliant! Paula and Aidan were very helpful with local advises and lovely hosts. And the breakfast buffet was better than in any five star hotel

    Lars2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Well, what can I say.. This was my best airbnb experience so far! We arrived after a long drive and Paula gave us such a warm welcome that we felt as if our family member was waiting for us. She not only made us comfortable when we arrived but also helped us plan our next day so we were sorted within 30 mins and were relaxed to enjoy the rest of the evening. Ladies- if you forgot to carry any tits bits, worry not. This house is stocked with everything and believe me EVERYTHING! This is truly a home away from home which has a unique combination of all 5 star amenities with a comfort of cozy home, super warm people and spectacular view. To add to this hospitality, Aidan's local tips like coastal route to take to skye to experience picturesque were super helpful. We would have never discovered it even after reading multiple blogs! He was super sweet to offer us an umbrella when he heard us wanting to buy one. I personally also took a lot of learning from them on how to be perfect hosts ( sometime in future ;) ) would highly recommend this place! Cheers!

  • Expect a very warm welcome , very clean house , exceptional hospitality. You will not regret staying here, lovely quiet location .

    Kevin2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is more than just a Bed & Breakfast at Paula & Aidan. A welcome more than warm with coffee and biscuits as soon as we arrived, all in a joy of life that is warm to the heart. It feels like family! The room was very comfortable and equipped beyond all expectations, with a bathroom shared with another room (very well equipped too). The house is ideally located between Fort William and Glenfinnan, with a splendid view of the loch. The breakfast was perfect, live homemade pancakes by Aidan, and so much more to eat, a treat! Go ahead with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed!

  • Fantastic stay

    Wilfried2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The space is exactly as advertised and fantastic. Great location. Great space. And super responsive. Would highly recommend.

    Blanka2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with a group of five friends and used it as a base for a weekend climbing Ben Nevis. Anna was very responsive, and provided excellent directions and details for how to find the flat. It was helpful to have a key-pad lock so that we didn't need to meet anyone to check in, as we arrived late at night. The flat itself is well-stocked, warm, very clean and generally as described in the listing. It has clearly been well-lived-in and is in need of some TLC with regard to paintwork etc., but everything works perfectly well (save for a seemingly abandoned downstairs WC, but that was not advertised as being available on the listing). The location is great, right on the high street just opposite the best pub in Fort William (the Grog & Gruel) and near a very good seafood restaurant. In summary, this is a great base camp for exploring the highands as a group.

  • Wonderful location and a comfortable stay. Sat on the shore of the loch and watched the sunset.Toasted marshmallows on the fire. Then fell asleep listening to the stream.

  • outstanding location, well laid out, and with everything you could want for rough glamping. Touches, like firewood and charcoal ready to use, plus BBQ sauces which you might not be carrying around, just added to the experience. Midge-proof tent plus torches a real bonus

This is a stand alone log cabin, which has just undergone extensive renovations. It has few neighbours except for myself. It's situated in a wild garden, with access to 3 hectares of beautiful woodland behind. There's a main living room, a galley kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a large shower. There's also a wood stove to keep you warm There's a plasma TV with chromecast, a speaker system and a guitar for campfire songs! There's also a firepit available for use 30m from the cabin
**Coronavirus update** My guests' safety is of utmost importance to me. I understand people will have concerns and fears coming on holiday and away from their homes. This area is beautiful and wild, and still allows you to restrict social contact whilst also enjoying the great outdoors. In addition to the usual deep clean of my property after every stay, i'll be undertaking additional cleaning of all surfaces, light switches, remote controls and door handles using alcohol wipes and antiviral spray. I'll be distancing myself from all guests as a precaution, but of course, i'm available if anyone needs me. Bedding and towels are provided, and there are a plenty of blankets and cushions to make yourself comfortable. If you require allergy-safe bedding, please contact me to get it ready for you. Heating is provided by a wood burning stove in the living room (all wood felled and split by me from the woods around the cabin) and electric heaters in the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom also has a heated towel rail. There is a firepit in the garden (please don't light fires elsewhere) and there is a small firepit on the side of the loch to watch the sunset from. Children or babies are allowed, but the cabin is not specially set up for them, so you'd need to take responsibility for them, and provide your own cribs / highchairs etc. Pets are permitted, and a dog bed can be made available on request. Extra guests may be accommodated for a fee but you would need to contact me to confirm availability.
This is a secluded cabin in the grounds of the old school house. It is located 60m off of the quiet road on the south side of Loch Eil. There are woods behind the house to explore, and access to the lochside on the other side of the road, perhaps a minute's walk from the cabin. There are walks up onto the mountain behind, but otherwise this is a quiet area. Apart from the occasional car on the road, the only sounds are the birds and the wind in the trees. The nearest shop is in Corpach which is a 20 minute drive away. This is a beautiful, tranquil area, which makes a great base for exploring the highlands. The woods have deer and pine martens in them and there are many birds. The west coast is only an hour down the road and you can be at the base of Ben Nevis in 40 minutes.
  • We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday and this cabin is just perfect! It's so clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Close enough to fort William to stock up on provisions but remote enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Pete was brilliant with his messages and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Pete had the stove going for us on arrival which was great. Loved sitting out on the front porch and looking at the stars. I can't recommend this place enough and I've already told my girlfriend I want to come here again for my birthday. Stop looking for other places and book this place now.

  • Pete's cabin is just the perfect place for a vacation! It's a charming cabin in the woods, lovely interior design and loads of nice touches to make you feel home. Not only the fireplace warms up the cabin very quickly, but it really makes for a magical atmosphere! We would love to be back for another escape from the city :) Thanks Pete!

  • This cabin exceeded our expectations by far. The location, thoughtfulness and personal touches are what made this stay so awesome. We wish we could have stayed longer but can not wait to return. I would suggest this cabin for any trip to this area of Scotland.

  • What a great place to stay- this was a very spacious cabin, stylish with character and with very cosy atmosphere, really a gem!Pete was very welcoming and had lighted the fire in the stove before we arrived so it was warm and lovely! The place is environmentally friendly, spotless clean and has everything one might need(from board games to face masks and toothbrushes), fresh linen and amazing views from literally everywhere in the cabin. It was very easy to find and Pete was very quick to respond to my queries. One of my best experiences in the highlands. I'll be back soon- totally recommended!

  • Impeccably clean, very comfortable and spacious. It is ideal for a larger group. Surrounding area is very quite and very beautiful. Drive to fort williams is about 30 to 40 minutes but not tiresome.

  • What a stunning property! I have had a look at properties in Fort William, but relying on the information provided by the host and reviews of other guests, I am so glad that I have made the right decision to choose this property. Compared with driving eight hours from Peterborough, the twenty minutes or so drive to the nearest Coop store is nothing. The property itself is spacious, sparkling clean and has loads of local maps and tour guides, from which my wife managed to find the steam train tour and other things to explore. I was only thinking of climbing Ben Nevis before the trip, but in the end, we have achieved a lot more, exceeding our expectations. The whole family want to come back to this property again at a future time because once you are there you cannot help but have the feeling that almost the whole beautiful world is yours!!!

We would definitely stay there again- clean, you can connect to Netflix if you have an account, cute little Scottish shortbread was there and an AMAZING shower.

  • Peace and tranquility Scottish style!!!!

    William2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • If this place is available, book it now! Our four night stay in Blaich far, far exceeded our expectations. Karl was a phenomenal host in all ways. We came with our 2-year-old and 4-year-old and the place was perfect for them. Our kids loved watching for sheep, waking up to the stunning views of the highlands and playing on the outdoor wrap around porch. We hiked daily and had hours of fun just playing around the chalet. Karl provided local homemade jams and cookies upon arrival and ensured that we knew how to get everywhere we wanted in the highlands. This was a perfect jumping off place for Fort William, Glen Coe and Inverness / Loch Ness....truly the perfect place to have a home base. Fort William is close for supplies, has a Lidl and McDonalds, which was helpful for us with kids at the end of a long day excursion. Ben Nevis is also very, very accessible. We recommend having tea at the Inverlochy Castle Hotel; it was a highlight for us. Neptune’s Staircase is close and was a great experience for us as well. The chalet itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and stylish. You can tell that all wooding, furniture and items are well crafted and high quality. We loved having a beautiful tub for our kids to play in that was right next to the kitchen. It was the perfect way to unwind - the kids played for 30-40 minutes every night in the bath, which we could see while we used that time to cook dinner and enjoy talking about the adventures of the day. The views of the loch from the chalet are stunning and we enjoyed driving on the single land road with sheep walking in front of us as we went. We took a few hogs on the road as well, and it felt like a private Scottish experience, surrounded by sheep and running right alongside the loch. This is the ultimate highlands experience! We will recommend to everyone we know and hope to come back soon in the future!

    Trish2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet is absolutely stunning and the photo's do not do it justice! Karl is a brilliant host and very much deserves his brilliant reviews for his property!

    Stephen2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Karl's beautiful lodge. The photos don't do justice just how lovely it is. There is a stunning view from the sitting room, the bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the 'little touches' made it extra-special. There are lots of great hikes near-by, and the lodge is only a half-hour drive from Ben Nevis. We couldn't recommend this place enough!

    Jade2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Karl's chalet. Karl is the best host you could ever wish for. Hospitality at its finest. The area is beautiful. Great place to come to rest and to enjoy the nature. Highly recommended!

  • Karl was a wonderful host and the lodge was absolutely amazing. We go back to work with recharged batteries and fond memories! We would strongly recommend Karl's place. We had never stayed in a log cabin before and this was an experience of dreams - next to a beautiful loch in the middle of stunning scenery but with Karl and his lovely neighbours a short walk away so we didn't feel too isolated at all (the other cabin is also close by which had guests in). Karl took time to show us how to use everything - including his amazing sound system and CDs which we thoroughly enjoyed. The cabin was so clean and had everything you would need. We will definately be back!

    Nic2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in the log cabin, and the little touches like the homemade jams and biscuits, and the quirky loft bed (which my daughter loved!) made it very special. Karl was very attentive and gave us helpful insider tips on where to go in the local area, and what time to watch out for the Jacobite steam train as it passed by on the other side of the loch. I’d really recommend this larger of the two cabins as a place for a family to stay near Fort William but away from the hustle and bustle.

    Laura2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This really is an exceptional place and we had an amazing time. The lodge far exceeded our expectations, was immaculately clean, well kept and comfortable. The lodge had everything we could possibly have wished for and Karl was a great host. We will certainly be back.

  • Simply exceptional !!! This authentic chalet, extremely well equipped and immaculate was for our family a bubble of peace! It is surrounded by a beautiful flat and green garden, ideal for children .. Look in the trees; a surprise is hiding :) The view is fabulous .. Loch Eil is accessible at the bottom of the chalet. Karl is a very friendly, attentive host and a source of tips for visiting the surrounding area! We left this place with a heavy heart but some to come back soon

    Ludovic2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Whaouu! A beautiful place in front of a loch in a typical Scottish landscape. We received a very warm welcome from Karl. Very convenient to visit the islands and the surroundings of Fort William but also to spend a good time of rest in the calm 100% nature. Plan to stop at the supermarket before because shops 15-20 minutes from the cottage. But Karl had told us where to refuel. We spent an extra week at 5 with our 3 kids (teens) in this very well equipped and functional chalet. Deco neat and small touches of Karl very appreciable. I highly recommend

    Séverine2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing experience at Karl’s chalet. It was a lovely cabin, modern and beautifully decorated with lovely views of the lake. Kids loved the swing on the oak tree. We loved the welcome gift of homemade jams and cookies prepared by Eileen, simply delicious! We also appreciate that Karl was always there when we needed help. He was super friendly with a good sense of humor. He gave us plenty of tips on visiting major attractions around the area. It was truly a great overall experience and will always be cherished. Thank you Karl for your hospitality!

  • We had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment with great views and everything else you’d need for a great base to explore the local area and beyond. Suzie was an excellent host and very friendly, which made us feel welcome. Although the apartment is an additional space added to the side of the house, it is totally private, so you don’t need to worry about annoying the hosts as they can’t hear through the thick brick walls. Would recommend this as a great place to stay!

The water pressure in the bathroom should be mentioned: just perfect! You don't find that often in Scotland. Cosy, warm and beautiful!

Sandra and Seumas welcome you to Constantia House, situated above Fort William town centre, with bars, restaurants and shops 2 minutes down the hill. We are 6 minutes from the train and bus stations. Private parking is provided for all our guests. In this cosy room there is a washbasin, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. BREAKFAST IS NOT PROVIDED THE SHOWER ROOM IS SHARED WITH 2 OTHER GUESTS ALL OTHER ROOMS HAVE PRIVATE FACILITIES
This room is a very small single located in the attic, therefore limited head space due to slopping ceiling Room measurements 2.7x2.2 Door measurements 1.7mx600mm
  • The house is centrally located and short convenient walk to plenty of pubs and restaurants. Ben Nevis park is not too far either. The onsite parking is a huge benefit as well because parking seems tight in the area.

  • When you just need a bed and not a place to hang out, this works great! Lots of thoughtful little touches make the efficient space work well. Close to the train and bus station with super easy check-in and out.

  • Sandra is a really great host, she cares about you having the best stay at her place. The bedroom and bathroom are very clean. I highly recommend her.

  • Sandra is a very lovely host ! She wants to make sure that you have a nice stay. The room is cosy and the bathroom even shared with others is cleaned up every day ! I highly recommend her !

    Clara2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • As stated it's a small room but plenty big enough for one person.

    Jenny2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A simple, very clean room under the roof. It is very small, but quite sufficient for a person with few needs. The location is very central (about 10 minutes walk from the train station). Uncomplicated check in / out and a very nice and helpful contact with Sandra. I would love to come back.

    Denise2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra's home is great, VERY close to the center of Fort William, easily within walking distance to shops and restaurants, and just barely off the main roads in and out of town. Her home is very clean and very comfortable. I would certainly stay here again when visiting Fort William!

Whats special about our place? Our 6ft5 Great Dane Dougal of course. If you are not a Dog person then this house is not for you! We are in a very friendly neighbourhood within a small crescent. The car park is a 5 second walk from the house which is very easily accessed.
Spacious double bedroom includes a TV with sky tv. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, use of bathroom outside of room, shower and bath (Towels provided)
We are a 2-3 minute drive/ 10-15 minute walk from the main high street where you’ll find a selection of restaurants/ pubs and shops. The main road to our house is on the bus route which runs regularly, there are also local taxis if required. Being in the highlands we are surrounded by hills and lovely walks. As we are situated further up the hill we have a number of walks right on our door step with beautiful views!
  • Brian was very communicative and flexible with regards to check-in which we appreciated and Dougal was very friendly too! Great stay.

    Anthony2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Brian welcomed us very friendly and gave us some good advice on where to eat. To make it even better he gave us a lift to one of the pubs in the village center. Dougal was the highlight of the evening, even bigger then we expected 😁

    Andreas2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to get into town, perfect set up- had everything we needed. Dougal the Great Dane was an absolute gem.

'Munro's Pod' recently built in Corpach, Fort William looking right onto Ben Nevis. The Pod is right next to a nature trail, great for walking and cycling if you like to get outdoors but if not sit in and relax watching Netflix. A bus stop is just a five minute walk away which will take you into Fort William itself. Caledonian canal and ‘Neptune’s staircase’ 5 minutes away. Glenfinnan known for the famous 'Harry Potter Viaduct' is a twenty minute drive up 'A830' road. Nevis range skiing 5.3 mile
Perfect for a couples break! Free parking right outside, king size bed, walk in shower and cooking area is all inside. There is a sofa bed in place which could sleep another adult or two children but i would like to point out its quite small. (Tight for space). Cereals and tea/coffee will be put in place and a small fridge for guests to store food.
Corpach is an excellent spot for looking onto the mountains during sun set.
  • What a fantastic place to stay! Highly recommended . So clean and the hot tub is amazing! We can’t wait to go back 😀

    Eilidh2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Although we didn't expect the lodge to be in a garden, we had the utmost privacy and a separate entrance so we could come and go as we pleased. The place was clean, well designed and had lots of nice touches to make the most use of the space. With glencoe a pleasant drive away, this was a great location for our hikes through the trails. Martin was a great host and provided everything we could have needed for our stay. Would highly recommend!

    Rizwan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay, such a cosey cute place with a beautiful view. The hot tub was a added bonus, especially when we came back from wet and windy walks. Fort William is stunning place and we would happily return. I would 100% recommend. Thanks for having us Martin!

    Louise2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect for our stay Martin was an amazing host the pod was outstanding and did not disappoint it was modern, sparkling clean and had a few extra touches that had a lot of thought out into it. The hot tub was amazing and was cleaned every morning. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely use it again in the future thank you for a great stay we had an amazing time x

    Ainsley Margaret2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my partner for a couple of nights. In terms of location it is great for seeing the local area such as walks up to Steall falls. It’s also at the top of the street so it is quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was lovely, having Netflix and a hot tub too which was great once the night settled in. Bed was also extremely comfy and there is a nice wee area for cooking either through the hob or microwave. There is also a kettle and toaster plus plenty of cutlery, plates, cups etc. Having the towels provided was also a nice touch. Thank you Martin

    Darran2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have loved our stay here so much! The hot tub is amazing after lots of wet and windy walks out exploring. The cabin is cosy with loads of well thought out touches. We particularly liked exploring Steall falls with the wire bridge, and going up Aonach Mor in a gondola! Great host, with lots of tips of the local area and quick responses!

    Sammie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

  • We really enjoyed our time at this little house! Although its small you have everything you need in there, a kitchen, bathroom with shower, hot water, Wifi, a comfy bed ! There are snacks for breakfast, tea and coffee provided. Joanne was always easy to reach by message If you had any questions. Would definitely recommend this place!

    Franzie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne was a fantastic host with a wonderful accommodation. She had given us recommendations of places to go as well. There is a Coop within walking distance from the chalet if need be. Plenty of space and even left us some goodies for breakfast. Highly recommended this accommodation to anyone!!

    Ishmeet2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Small but perfectly formed! This pod has everything you need for a few days in Fort William.

  • Stayed while doing the NC500. Great location near to Fort William and is also close to Glenfinnan. Lovely clean and stylish space.

    Jake2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would really recommend everyone to stay in this cosy chalet. Joanne made sure we had all the information we needed when we checked in and also gave us some nice recommendations for restaurants in the area. There is a supermarket reachable with just a 5 min walk. Even though we woke up with snow, the chalet was very warm and comfortable. We really felt like home even though we’ve just stayed one night.

    Marcia2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne’s directions were spot on, found the place with absolutely no issues. We changed our check in times a few days before and it was no hassle whatsoever. Joanne left us to our own devices, which we really appreciated, it made us feel trusted. When we arrived we could not have asked for more from the pod, there was breakfast cereals, porridge, biscuits, coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, milk in the fridge, clean towels, fresh amazing smelling bedding, toiletries, everything you could possibly need. We usually stay in a caravan in Fort William and this was a lovely change, we were so close to Coop, a short drive from Fort William and Nevis Range and we found the Corpach Shipwreck which is only a small walk away. All in all we had a great time, excellent value for money, we all slept soundly, Joanne has been a pleasure to message and is always quick to respond, I could not have asked for more. We will definitely be back.

    Sara2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Joannes place was a lovely night away, very cosy place with everything you need! It’s in a great location with a 20 minute drive to the Harry Potter bridge! Would highly recommend this place for a getaway.

COVID-19: I am offering my apartment to COVID-19 responders at a very significantly reduced rate. It is situated less than 15 minutes walk from the Belford Hospital. I am following Airbnb enhanced cleaning and safety protocols. Airbnb are also waiving their fees. The ground-floor apartment is located in a secluded side street with no through traffic. It enjoys an elevated position overlooking Loch Linnhe and has an off-street parking space.
The spacious ground-floor apartment consists of a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and hallway. It is immaculately and luxuriously decorated throughout in a modern, understated style with a subtle Scottish theme. The bedroom is sumptuously appointed around a superking bed. The bed can also be split into two singles, just let me know which you would prefer when you book. The view from the bedroom window looks across to Loch Linnhe. There is also a 22" HD TV with Freesat receiver in case you find it challenging to leave the comfort of the bed. The large, elegant living room has a comfortable two-seater sofa and armchair in front of an electric fire. The sofa can be converted to a double bed and has a memory-foam mattress. There is a 40" Ultra HD TV with Freesat recorder and a Blu-Ray/DVD player and a small collection of DVDs. A dining table and 3 chairs are set to one side. A selection of books and local guides is provided for your visit. The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with all the crockery and equipment you are likely to need during your stay, including kettle, Nespresso pod machine, toaster, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The modern bathroom has a double-width walk-in shower with rainfall head and a heated towel rail. Central heating and hot water are supplied by a combi-boiler and can be set to a temperature of your choosing. There is an understairs cupboard containing a washer-dryer. Free high-speed broadband internet through WiFi is provided. There is a small patio with table and chairs and views to Loch Linnhe which you are welcome to use when the weather permits. At the back of the patio is a padlocked shed which you can use for storing equipment such as bikes and skis. A single parking space is located to the rear of the apartment.
Fort William is a brilliant location for visitors. The High Street boasts a large number of shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and a museum within easy reach. The surrounding landscape of lochs, glens and mountains is stunning, and you will be at the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The apartment is a great base for many outdoor activities such as hillwalking, skiing, mountain biking and climbing. Each year the town bounces with major events such as the Scottish Six Day Trials and the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
  • This little place was amazing. Perfectly situated for a walk into the town centre and amazing views. Was definitely like a home away from home for me. Next time I am up in fort William I will definitely be booking in again.

  • Andrew made the stay very easy and gave us lots of advice and tips on the area, a great host I would recommend to friends. A friendly and welcome introduction to this part of Scotland and a very nice place to stay. Thank you Andrew!

    Rhys2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was probably the best Airbnb we ever stayed at! Very lovely place, equipped with anything you can think of, great location and we felt at home right away. Andrew had some nice tips for hiking and dining and a welcome-basket with some tasty things. We hope to be back soon!

    Philipp2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. The pictures don’t really do it justice, old style building that’s been developed into an amazingly modern place to stay. Perfect location for the loch and the Main Street of Fort William, I think we visited 5 bars in total and missed a coupon out but all a very short walk - Thursday Night at Garrison West have live music. Andrew made some great suggestions, one being An Steall waterfall which I would heavily recommend. We stayed here whilst skiing on Nevis Range which was a 10 minute drive away. I’d also recommend Ben Nevis Distillery - £5 for a 1 hour tour and a glass of whisky. All in all a great place to visit.

    James2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, spotlessly clean, host is very friendly, extremely cosy place - has everything you could ever need for a weekend away! Will be back for sure.

  • Andrew provided a great stay, the place was super clean and cosy! Location was stunning! Thank you!

    Lauren2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew’s home is AMAZING. It was so clean, stylish and comfortable, that my girlfriend and I were really bummed to leave, despite having half our trip ahead of us! Andrew met us for a quick introduction and show around, he was very friendly and kind. Additionally, Andrew left us with a lovely little gift basket that we enjoyed immensely. All that is to say, if you’re going to Fort William/Glencoe/Ben Nevis, definitely book Andrew’s place if it’s available. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the bed is suuuuuuper cozy and comfy...probably best we’ve had during our numerous stays in Europe.

    Kamran2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Andrew's beautiful home over New Year and absolutely loved our time there. His hospitality was top-notch and the house had so many thoughtful touches that truly made it luxury. The home is incredibly central and perfect for exploring Fort William and Ben Nevis, even without a car. We would 100% stay again!

We offer a very warm welcome to the self catering cottage to all travellers, wherever you're from, and whether you're travelling singly, as a couple, or as two friends. We think the cottage will suit those more independent folk who want to just get on with their holiday at their own pace. The cottage is compact and ideal for one or two people.
The cottage is ideal if you want your own self-catering space with no other comings and goings of guests. The open plan living/kitchen/dining area is approximately 5 x 3.7 metres and has a sofa bed, armchair, dining table and chairs and a fitted kitchen. Sorry we don't have a dish washer nor washing machine but the kitchen is well equipped with kettle, microwave, full cooker and hob, and small fridge with separate freezer compartment. There is also a television, dvd player, and hifi with usb port for your own mobile device. Next to the main room is the bedroom, 2.4m x 4 metres, which can be provided with either 2 single beds or a super-king with comfortable mattress topper. The shower/wc room (2.1 x 1.4m) is next to the bedroom/living area. Outside there is a small, covered area with table and chairs for you to enjoy some outdoor living space of your own. The b and b (2 en suite rooms) is next door so you will likely see other guests, and you are welcome to share the rest of the garden with them and us. The parking space in front of the cottage is reserved for you; other cars at the bed and breakfast also park in that area but there will always be dedicated space for you. The sea loch, Loch Linnhe, is just across the road; you have a good chance of seeing porpoise, seals and otters! Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, is easily accessible, just 2 miles away. The cottage is a 20 minute walk (2 minute drive) from Fort William town centre which has all amenities; shops, pubs and restaurants. The area is ideal for anyone who likes stunning scenery with plenty of outdoor pursuits.
  • I cannot thank Stephanie enough for her AMAZING hospitality. From picking me & Stan (my dog) up from the train station upon arriving, offering to take me for groceries the next day, tips on where to go whenever I needed it & dropping me at the train station again when leaving. All of this whilst still getting all the space that I needed, I just knew that Stephanie was there whenever I needed her. Absolutely outstanding host. The cottage itself is clean, spacious, cosy and has pretty much everything you could possibly need. I really struggled to get out of the bed some mornings because of how comfy it is. The view from the cottage is stunning, I can't fault the place one bit. Me & Stan really loved the place & are sad to have left. The train station is just a 25 minute walk/5 minute drive away and there is a train that runs a couple of times a day from Fort Willaim so a couple of day trips to Mallaig & Glenfinnen is definitely recommended. 😍 Me & Stan hope to return one day & a huge thank you to Stephanie, a million times over.

  • Great place to stay, a short walk from the town and a lovely view from the main room. Stephanie gave us lots of information on things to do, taking into account we had our dogs with us. Would stay here again!

  • Thank you for stay, your were very helpful. The location of the bungalow is great and the views are breath taking! We had a very peaceful few days and would 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in Fort William.

  • The house is exactly as described. It is clean and spacious and well equipped. Everything you need is there whether you use the house as a base to explode or want to stay in more. Steph & Linda are great hosts, they are very welcoming but equally discreet and you would not know they were there despite being onsite. The house is perfectly located to to walk into Fort William town itself. It has easy access to all surrounding areas. The house itself has beautiful views over Loch Linnie. I would recommend this house to anyone including couples, friends and dog lovers!

  • Great place for walking, even without a car.

    Claudia2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie was a great host to me and my mum and was very generous with her time. She lent us maps of the area and gave us advice about what there was to see and do. Stephanie was happy for me to bring my wee dog which we were very grateful for. There is a great stony beach across the road and a short walk into town. We had a lovely stay.

UPDATE Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we have temporarily closed our Studio to guests. We look forward to welcoming you all when it is safe to do so. The studio annex is a peaceful and creative space to spend time in. It is self contained and well equipped. The distinctive building started life as a primary school in 1966 and is unique in its design for the area. We instantly fell fell in love and moved from Edinburgh in 2014 to begin renovating its interior and exterior.
The studio apartment is 25m2 and has its own private access and porch where you can sit and watch the ever changing sky, turning tides, wildlife and ships. Seals, porpoise, otters and heron often potter about in the loch directly outside the house. The kitchen has been made using the original sink and metal framework from the school kitchen and brought up to date with poured concrete worktops. There is a small oven with two hobs and a fridge with small freezer compartment. The apartment has a working woodburner so if you like it toasty warm or just like to sit and watch the flames flickering this is the place for you. The bed nook is a generous king size with a curtain divider which can be drawn to separate the bedroom from the rest of the apartment. The perfect cosy place to hunker down and get a good nights sleep. All bed linen is provided. The bathroom has a large rain shower over the bath, a toilet (phew!) and a large Belfast sink. Towels are provided.
The studio is situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe, with views across to The Great Glen on one side and a shipping dock on the other. Fort William town is accessible by car (45 minutes) or by foot ferry which leaves from Camusnagaul, a short walk from the house. The property is perfectly situated for day trips to the beautiful White Sands of Morar, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, Glenfinnan Viaduct and much, much more... The area is a haven for wildlife with regular sightings of seals, otters, porpoise, birds of prey, stags, woodpeckers, heron and much more. Fantastic walks through glens, along the shore line or up hills are accessible on foot with views over the water to Ben Nevis, only a stone-throw from the apartment.
  • If you really are looking for the most perfect stylish Scottish escape, this is it. Even in the worst weather, this place is beautifully curated, warm and comfortable. Susie was an excellent host, and I won’t lie and I have to say I have serious house envy. As a serious interiors romantic, this place is so aesthetically pleasing and it’s like a cabinet of curiosities! Not to forget; set in a stunning location with an epic view with plenty of things to go and see during the day. Including my other half having snowboarding activities nearby to keep him entertained. I’m definitely thinking of coming here again for a retreat in summer to focus on my creative practice. This place has everything you need for a relaxing and peaceful stay. The bonus was being able to bring our whippet, Bramble who absolutely loved sleeping in front of the hot stove! Thanks again so much for having us.

    Laura2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • An incredibly well thought out and designed studio apartment in a beautiful location. Spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, cosy and contemporary place to stay in the Western Highlands. We had a great time and would love to go back.

  • Amazing place in a beautiful location. Susie was a great host (ziggy was away on tour) and made us feel very welcome. The studio was beautifully furnished and we were left with lots of tips with things to do locally as well as a wee dram to settle us in. We would highly recommend

    Thomas2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The photos do not do the studio justice. It is beautiful. We felt at home straight away. Very private and a good amount of space for the two of us. Waking up to the view in the morning was such a treat. Really easy drive to get there and some amazing sights nearby. Communication was great. We will definitely be back.

    Rhiannon2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sit back with a wee dram and look out of the picture window. Watch how the wild weather changes and relax. Love this studio and everything it offers.

    Lauren2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Susie and Ziggys place is beyond a dream. From the moment we arrived we knew this would be the perfect place to escape the world for a few days. Beautiful finishing touches, amazing wood burning stove, big comfy bed - what more could you want? Susie and Ziggy were super quick at responding to questions and were so helpful. We’ll be back!!!

    Natasha2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at The Lengths - which I think tells you a lot about how much we love it there. It’s the perfect space to get away from it all. Relax, read, run, cook - just amazing. Book this place now!

  • Fantastic stay and great hosts. The room was exactly as per the photos - a lovely big comfy bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a good view down the loch. While it’s not in the best location for getting to / from the town on foot, Florence’s husband Adam very kindly picked me up in his car and dropped me to the train station early the next morning. He also made me a lovely meal in the evening. Highly recommended. They also have a very friendly dog, Poppy, who I would have liked to take with me!

  • If staying in or around Fort William, Henry’s place is an excellent choice. Quite comfortable and equipped with everything you would need. As well parking is quite easy. It is also only a short walk, albeit down hill, to a great street full of restaurants and shopping. Will definitely stay here again.

    David2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really cute apartment! We only stayed one night as we passed through Fort William, but it would have been a perfect hub while traversing around the area. Especially a comforting place to come back to if hiking or mountaineering in the area. Expect to go up some stairs from the car park, or a hilly walk if you walk to the main street downtown. The space had a great big window and perfect view of the loch. We loved the little touches like all the sticky notes from past visitors to the apartment. They were from all around the world! Definitely take the time to read them. There was plenty of tea and coffee which was much appreciated. Definitely recommend the quaint space for a couple or a single person traveling through. Thanks for the great hospitality, Henry!

    Lindsey2019-10-16T00:00:00Z

Henry was such a great help, providing us with directions. Communication was excellent. The apartment was stylish & comfortable. I would definitely recommend here.

    Gillian2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was excellent for our one night stay in the area, but it would have also been perfect for an extended stay. The home is super clean with great touches to make it feel comfortable. Check-in was easy and simple along with finding adequate parking for the apartment (which is definitely a plus). Henry is a wonderful host. I would recommend this place to anyone.
