    Kilcolgan, Galway, Ireland

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families ( with children ) This is a comfortable modern home in the heart of the countryside. It is an ideal base to explore Galway city, The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, The Aran Islands, Bunratty and the rest of the Wild Atlantic Way. Shannon airport is just an hour away, driving to Dublin takes just over two hours. The house is surrounded by green fields with a view of Derrybrien and the Sliabh Aughty mountains.
This is a self contained apartment consisting of 2 bedrooms one bathroom kitchen and living room. The kitchen and living room have been recently added to create an independent living space. All newly refurbished and decorated. This is a comfortable modern space.
This is a very quiet rural area, surrounded by farms and farmland. Wonderful mountain views. Large garden.
  • Stayed here for the first 3 nights of a 12 night trip, and we couldn't be happier with the choice! The location was very convenient for our adventures to both the Cliffs of Moher & Galway. The trip was made even sweeter when my boyfriend surprised me with a marriage proposal on the Cliffs of Moher, and Brid was very kind and helpful throughout our stay!

    Justine2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We received a warm welcome from Brid and communication was quick and easy. The house has everything you need and provides a perfect base for exploring, for example, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren National Park, Galway or the Connemara National Park. We really enjoyed our time in the cozy home of Brid and can only recommend it!

    Sarina2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Brids place is as lovely as they come. Located in the countryside, but not too far from town, it was a perfect place to stay at for couple days while we passed through Ireland. The beds were so comfortable that we ended up sleeping in late both days and then spent our days exploring nearby towns, returning in the evening to make dinner, play games and relax. It was what very much needed. Brid was quick to respond and met us when we arrived. I would definitely recommend Brids AirBnB when passing through Ireland.

    Einna2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Brid was great!!! Highly recommended staying at her little getaway. Pro.pt with responses and so flexible. She made this part of the journey stress free!

    Cindi2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The address can only be reached by car. Good location for walking / walking. Brid is a very nice & helpful hostess.

    Anna2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Highly appreciated stay! Unobtrusive hostess but who deploys all her kindness to give us advice or make us feel like home. Very calm environment. Ideal for children. Expeditions for the day to connemara, galway or cliff of moher.

    Elodie2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • A well-conditioned house in a rural area near sites of interest. We were able to rest after a few days of touring the country. Totally recommended.

    Carme2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brid’s place is very clean, comfortable, roomy and has all the amenities one needs for an extended stay in Ireland. Brid was very helpful when we had question and gave great tips for what to see in the local area. The location is in the country so renting a car is a necessity, but it’s on a quiet and peaceful road with no noise which we found to be a plus. (The WiFi also worked great. Stable connection and good speed.) Would definitely stay here again!

  • Fantastic place in the heart of Ireland. Lots of things to do near by if you have a car Hosts were great, very welcoming with excellent local knowledge

    James2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place for a family stay. Close proximity to a lot of great places to visit. Karen was an amazing host. It will be high on our list If we ever visit Ireland again.

    Joshua2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s place was great! She showed us how everything worked and had prepared a folder containing maps, restorants, pubs and places to go and visit. Found some lovely places to visit ourselves there. Upon arrival she had some scones waiting for us (it was my goal to taste one of these and soo happy to have had something this tasty!). For a conclusion, we loved the place and would recommend it to everyone!

    Triin2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a great location and lovely accommodation. An opportunity to relax in wonderful surroundings amongst a most friendly community. Lots to do within the area and good road links to many other interesting places. My wife and I want to make a return visit there is so much more to do and see. Thank you.

    Michael2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Seriously WOW!! You want an authentic experience here it is. Karen knows her local and near location history. She is very kind and her husband Sean. Half of our party cancelled and she was able to give us a lot of game changing plans for my brother and I. We had authentic options and tourist options. The house was very clean and stocked with coffee, Tea, OJ, and scones. If we ever come out to Ireland again or friends this is the place.

    Rebecca2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you very much for being a host of our Galway getaway. We love to stay at Karen's holiday home. It's very convenient if you want to travel between Cliffs of Moher and Connemara. Karen is a very friendly and honest person. She prepared everything for us well before we got there. The house was amazingly clean with beautiful views. My daughter also had a private playground to play in. We also enjoyed the nice garden.

    Thanh Hang2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's house is consistent with the announcement and photos. Karen was on top, she greeted us upon arrival explaining the operation of the house with bonus homemade cakes with milk for the next morning and was always available when we had questions, recommendations or needs . The accommodation is well located, in a quiet place with horses, sheep, close to Galway, well located for the cliffs of Moher or the Connemara Lakes. I recommend this accommodation.

The house is situated on a quiet little road, about 4 miles from the picturesque village of Kinvara. The road is a cul-de-sac with a derelict castle and a lake at the end. Nice for a quiet walk on a dry day. Behind the house is a little forest housing many types of birds which can be heard early in the morning. Room 3 is a twin bedroom but can also be a double room. It's on the right looking at the house from the front. All bedrooms are facing west.
All guest rooms are located on the upper floor with dormer windows out the front. They are all around 20m2 in size. The spacious guest bathroom is also located on the upper floor. The landing area with it's sitting area, ironing board etc, the large sitting room as well as the dining room are open to all guests. On a nice day you may enjoy your breakfast outside on the patio.
This is most interesting to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay but not without the option of a lively night out.
  • Great host. A nice big room in a nice stylish house in a wonderful part of Ireland. Surrounded by Irish countryside, farming and the whistling wind of the Wild Atlantic Way, this is a superb AirBnB for foreign visitors and Eastern Irish alike. Located about 10 minutes drive from the town of Kinvarra, with some great traditional Irish pubs and a nice pier, within a moderate driving distance to the typical tourist spots like Cliffs of Moher. Thanks Bruno!

  • Great place to stay

    Slapp2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Bruno’s. Bruno is a friendly, nice, and down to earth guy. There is a little pup too and he was super friendly and pleasant to have around. The room has everything you need and more. I was saved by the power adapter Bruno had in my room because mine was not working in Ireland. I really appreciated thoughtful touches like these as well as a spacious room and bathroom. 100% recommend.

    Sergei2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Bruno's place is just super nice. Best price/value for a long time. The room is super clean, like everything in the house. You even have a little soundsystem in the room and can use the kitchen. He even serves a breakfast included in the price. Thanks a lot, sir. Hopefully one day again!

    Daniel2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Best place to stay in Ireland! We only planned on staying one night at Bruno’s but quickly found his place to be comfortable, clean, and full of life, so we ended up staying an extra two nights. Bruno did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, including giving us breakfast and letting us do laundry, and he even let us sit in on his band practice (so good!). His house is remote enough that it takes you off the beaten path but within driving distance to many of Ireland’s west coast favorites. Bruno has tons of recommendations if you’re looking for somewhere to go or eat, and he may even join you at the pub if you ask. Bruno has three rooms for guests, so the interactions with other guests was one of our favorite parts. And Jasper the dog is another highlight! We’ll be back to Bruno’s again, and we recommend you make a point to get there too! Thanks Bruno!!

  • Anne was outstanding! The place was so cute and everything had a unique touch. Anne provides you with something to make breakfast with the following morning as well as some yummy treats! We unfortunately stayed one night, but we wish we could be stayed longer! We came to Ireland during the Coronavirus so everything was closed, Anne actually went out of her way to sanitize everything, which made us feel more at ease. The cows were so cute and the food was delicious! Thank you Anne!!

    Patrick2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a nice stay at Anne's place. It was really clean, warm & cosy. My interaction with Anne was brief, but to say that it was warm would be understating it! She made us feel really welcome in her space. The house itself has everything you could need. Highly recommended. Thanks a million Anne.

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is SO cozy. Anne is so sweet and made us feel right at home. Her personal touches to the place are really nice, and the place is really spacious and clean! I couldn’t recommend a better spot to explore Galway.

    Amber2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The ensuite bedroom at Jane's is wonderful. It is beautifully decorated and spacious and the bed is v comfortable. It is also more than excellent value for money. Jane and John were the most gracious hosts and we had wonderful conversations with them. They have traveled and lived all over the world and we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner they made for us. They gave us local tips for things to do and we found those very useful. We also enjoyed hanging out with their adorable dog. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it.

    Kanchan2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Even though they had guests in town, Jane and John kindly welcomed us in their home and made sure we had everything we needed. Didn't get to take advantage of the home cooked meals but they sounded amazing! Would recommend for other travelers as the location is great, and good for families with small children. They were warm and friendly hosts.

  • Much bigger than expected! 2 large bedrooms, great kitchen/living room, and a very large bathroom. We had a great time, and our two toddlers loved the glass sunroom. Damian had a nice warm fire burning when we checked it, so it was very warm and cozy. Definitely recommend!

  • Our stay at Damian’s Airbnb was nothing short of wonderful. From the communication leading up to the trip, to the helpful information he provided about the city center and surrounding areas, we were sorted for the entirety of our stay. Not to go without mentioning that spacious bathroom and bathtub!... what a treat after a long day walking about and getting caught in the rain! Staying above a local pub was such a nice addition after a long day out as well, and the locals’ engagement and suggestions for the rest of our trip were so appreciated. Would definitely recommend to future travelers and friends thinking of visiting this beautiful pet of the country. Thanks Damian!!

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life whilst still being a stone’s throw from things to see, eat and do, then this is the place for you. The cottage itself isn’t one of those chic Airbnbs with all the mod cons, but it has all of the things you’d need for a comfortable stay, including plenty of kitchenware and peat for the fire. We used the cottage as a little writing retreat and we enjoyed our time sitting in front of the fire, listening to Storm Dennis passing through. In terms of provisions, there’s a Lidl 15 mins away in Gort and a well-stocked Spar a little closer in Kinvara. I’d thoroughly recommend Fox’s in Kinvara for its delicious food and Green’s bar for its atmosphere. Burren Nature Sanctuary is also a short drive away and is a great stop for coffee and/or a walk. Martha was a fantastic host and greeted us on arrival with a roaring fire, delicious scones and a fridge full of basic provisions. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

  • We had a lovely stay at Martha‘s Farmhouse! She was very accommodating to our late check-in time and greeted us with freshly baked scones (which were very delicious by the way). The farmhouse is well situated, if you want to experience the Irish countryside but still be able to visit major sites such as Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Galway and all the different sites around the area. The house itself has all the amenities you need and is very comfortable. All in all, I can only recommend you to stay at this farmhouse :)

Great for visiting the Burren and surrounding areas. It's super peaceful and pretty much self-sufficient. I'd recommend for a getaway for some fresh country air and relaxation :)

  • Great hostess. Wonderful home and location. A definite must stay.

    Noel2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s peaceful Chalet was absolutely beautiful. Staying in country Ireland led us to have an experience of the friendly and kind nature of the Irish people, the beautiful green land and was a great location for us to do day trips to the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Newgrange. We stayed with Kate for a month and were instantly warmed by her friendly nature and hospitality. Kate has great knowledge of her home country and is passionate about Ireland and all it has to offer so she is perfect to give recommendations of sites to visit. The chalet instantly felt like home to us and we loved having our own place to prepare food. We read many a book and when the weather permitted we saw many a sunset out of our window. If you are looking for a peaceful, picturesque home to stay in we would highly recommend Kate’s.

We were for 5 days on site and have undertaken excursions (cliffs of moher, Galway, Limerick). Definitely recommendable!!

  • Our stay at Christopher's, James's and Martha's home was really enjoyable. They went out of their way to provide us with everything to make us comfortable and well-nourished! They had plenty of ideas for local visits, and were the perfect hosts: highly recommended! Geoff and Dee

  • This was an amazing stay! James and Martha were amazing hosts, we chatted for ages about all kinds of things. The bed was super comfy, everything was spotlessly clean and breakfast was provided. We didn't get to meet Christopher but we were in communication with him prior to arriving. He is very nice and responds quickly to messages, I'm sure we would have got along if we saw him. Overall great stay and would stay again if in the area.

Our home is located on the Wild Atlantic Way between Galway City and the Cliffs of Moher. The coastal fishing village of Kinvara, home of Dunguaire Castle, is just a couple of minutes away. This little village has some lovely restaurants and pubs where you can savour good food and Irish music. We are also central to the Ailwee Caves, Connemara, Burren National Park, Coole Park and the Aran Islands. Free Wifi and private parking.
Rita and Mick (my parents) and I (Donal) live outside the peaceful village of Ballinderreen on the way to Kinvara. Our home is warm and welcoming and your stay will be comfortable and fun. Can't wait to meet you.
Our neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful and a 20 minute walk will have you 'watch the sun go down on Galway Bay'. Our home is comfortable and our garden is peaceful and yet we are close enough to the main road that your journey's will be easy to visit the sights of Galway and West Clare.
  • We had a wonderful visit with Mick and Rita! They were friendly and helped us understand the Irish culture! We loved the location, beautiful home and wonderful hospitality. The food and extras were amazing!

    Caralee2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best places we stayed during our whole trip around Ireland! Donal's parents were wonderful hosts, the room and house were very comfortable and clean, and breakfast was amazing! They are definitely "super hosts"!

    Sarah2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place great address. It feels like home. Rita received us with tea and cupcakes. She gave us valuable tips for our trip. The room is spacious and very clean. The breakfast worthy of a 5-star hotel. We stayed 2 nights. What happiness

  • We were welcomed by Donal’s mum, who is a lovely person :) we had a wonderful stay thanks to her. She was very helpful during all of our stay and her scones are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

  • Donal, Rita and Mick were amazing hosts very friendly and welcoming and breakfast each morning was amazing. One of the best places we’ve stayed!

    Mark2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Remarkable hosts! Donal and his parents can not do enough for their guests. We spent two incredible nights in their beautiful house. This is one of the best Airbnb we could do. Rita's breakfast is just excellent and very complete! We highly recommend this cottage for all travelers passing through Burren County! Know that you are not far from Galway! A faultless!

    Maxime2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb is absolutely extraordinary. Do not hesitate for one second to book it. I stayed here with my 21-year-old niece who was likewise very impressed. (She stated it is tied for the best Airbnb at which she has ever stayed which says a lot because she travels a fair bit.) I usually book whole house/apt Airbnbs so this was my first room within a house. I have to say that Donal's family made my first "room" Airbnb experience absolutely stellar. Their genuine warmth and hospitality as well as amenities were off the charts. E.g., I've never seen such immense, cozy bath towels anywhere, and unlike so many places in Ireland that feature those extremely annoying tiny, lidded bathroom rubbish bins that don't hold anything volume-wise--much less operate properly--they offered a very large open rubbish bin. These are just two small details that were outstanding in this accommodation. Local tips re: eating and trad sessions as well as a delish breakfast and tea upon our arrival were other niceties. Thanks so much to a lovely, caring family for one of the highlights of our holiday in Ireland!

    Rachael2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very comfortable, with a very nice sense of detail. We were very warmly welcomed and I had the chance to have my first (and last) Bodhran class! We spent a very good evening at Connollys in Kinvarra with great musicians.

Our home is set in an idyllic rural area, located just five minutes from the scenic coastal town of Kinvara, home of Dunguaire Castle. Here you can savour the local ambience in the various cafe's, restaurants and pubs. The Burren National Park is just a ten minute drive and Coole Park is twenty minutes. We are within a twenty minute drive to Galway City. The Wild Atlantic Way is another close atttraction. The Cliffs Of Moher and Shannon Airport are approximately an hour away.
Mary and Eoin (my parents) and I (Joe) live outside the peaceful village of Ballinderreen on the way to Kinvara. Our house is full of colour, character and over 100 years old. The garden, which is just an under an acre, is also just as eye catching.
We are just a few kilometres from the scenic village of Kinvara. Kinvara is home to Dunguaire Castle, the Burren, and many interesting pubs, cafe's and restaurants with a variety of food, live music and Irish culture.
  • I have been for one night and I have to say that Joe is very kind. I recommend this place.

  • Outstanding quality. Very nice and sparkling clean place with kind-hearted hosts close to Galway. Would recommend to anyone.

    Teo2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We received a very warm welcome from Joe and his two handsome pups. The room is clean spacious and very comfortable. There is a small kitchen-like area for guests to use as they please and the bathroom is just passed that. Joe made us a lovely breakfast the next morning which we enjoyed sitting out in a cool and quirky conservatory. The house itself is located just outside the small town Kinvara, so is more suited to those who have their own transport, and there is free parking available right outside the house.

  • Sparking clean. Amazingly comfy bed. Huge and delicious breakfast! Highly recommend.

    Kate2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super bed and breakfast with very attentive people, I recommend. The stay we spent with Joe and Mary was very pleasant, we had at our disposal (for our personal use) a bathroom and a kitchen in addition to the very nice room.

  • Partner and I had a very restful and comfortable stay at Joe and Mary’s. It was a rainy and windy day, and we felt the warmth of their place. Joe ensured that we were settled. Mary was excellent in sharing with us the local tips and recommendations. We loved the layout of the airbnb, it’s private and really well-equipped. The 2 doggies were a bonus :P 100/100 will recommend. Thank you!

  • Joe and Mary were incredible hosts. So loving, warm, and genuine in the way they opened their home to us, the beautiful suburban area and loads of trees, greenery, and fresh air was amazing. The breakfast Mary served us was such a feast! If I were to go back to Ireland I would definately visit Joe and Mary again. Thank you Joe & Mary !

    Leah2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Della and her husband run an excellent Airbnb that will be a joy to those who stop their on their trip along the Wild Atlantic Way. Coole Park is well worth a detour -- especially to anyone interested in Lady Gregory and her circle (Yeats, Synge, Shaw, O'Casey, etc.) The Airbnb is an 3-minute drive from the heart of the Irish literary revival. Della's hospitality went above and beyond the "exceptional" when she researched and found coordinates for an event we were attending in the back-country roads of County Clare.

    Don2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Della was as warm and hospitable as can be, her home was so lovely and such a great central hub for all the wonderful things Ireland has to offer. I highly recommend staying here for both the hospitality as well as the convenience and homey feel!

    Allison2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a wedding at Cloghan castle and couldn’t have asked for anything better. This is a lovely place to stay and Della and her partner were amazing, really going the extra mile and ready to help out whenever possible. Would really recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • Megan and Joe's place is immaculately clean, modern, and well provisioned. From a starter kit for the wood stove to a pair of fresh scones at checkin, they had everything we needed to feel at home for our brief, enjoyable stay. The two storey setup is fun, the kitchen has plenty of dishware and tea facilities, and the location is close to many nice spots (as well as on the correct side of Galway for visiting the Cliffs of Moher. They had a lot of detailed instructions for local favorites and must-see items. Thanks again, Trevor

You can work, rest, play, unwind, watch the beautiful sunset with a glass of wine in hand enjoying a bbq and a few tunes........or chill axe and watch a movie on the 55 inch TV screen.......and you can do what you want in the big garden... 20 mins from Galway city and 1 minute down the road there is Rahasane Turlough,650 acres of Pure Nature... Just over an hour away is The Cliffs of Moher 5 mins away from Main Galway to Limerick road 10 mins away from Main Galway to Dublin.... CANT GO WRONG.😉😎
Howdy folks, welcome to my space....A space which is quite,peaceful,healthy,scenic,relaxing.......and if you want the opposite,it can be that too.....and it's just outside the picturesque village of Craughwell,13 miles from Galway and a railway station only 1.5 miles away which will have you in Galway City in under 25 mins......and my fav part is that's its 2mins from The Rahasane Turlough(winter lake) 700 acres of unspoiled nature reserve, with a crystal clear river (Dunkellin) running through it... Boasting unique fauna, the turlough is of major ecological significance as one of only 2 Turloughs which function naturally in Ireland.... If you have what you might think is a big problem.....it will become only a small problem after a few hours in the Turlough...
Quite and all you will hear is nature...
  • Damien was a perfect host. The house was extremely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Would definately recommend this place to anyone looking to staY in Galway

    Yaa2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot nice and quiet. Damien responded to all my questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to book the place again if I was visiting Galway. Everything was as he described, perfect rural retreat.

    David2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, my wife and three kids stayed in the yellow house as we like to call it. We were greeted by Damien’s mother who was a lovely lady and was very helpful. The house was just perfect, it was very spacious for us all and the kids loved the massive back garden to run around on. The patio with comfy chairs outside was a real treat to just relax with a glass of wine at night. Galway city is only about 20-25mins away. Damien was very helpful and texted every so often to see if we needed anything.

    Philip2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place....house is deceptively large...4 comfy double rooms. Nice modern feel on a classic rural house....Damien is great host who met us on arrival and had the fire on (literally!)...cannot fault the place!

  • This house is a gem. Located in a quiet area outside of Galway city, easy to find & ideal for visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, the Burren, Galway City & anywhere else that takes your fancy. We wanted somewhere to chill out for the weekend with our dog & found exactly what we were looking for. Damien was extremely friendly, responded quickly to any communication & couldn’t have been more helpful. We found the house & garden to be really well kitted out for relaxing indoors & out. And for self catering. The additional touches of breakfast & home baked good were lovely too (& delicious). Overall we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends, family & anyone looking for a cosy, comfortable stay and we would definitely consider returning ourselves. Thanks Damien!

Room 2 is the bedroom in the middle looking at the house from the front.
  • Bruno was a really nice and hospitable guy. He picked us up from the Bus Station and drove us to kinvara the next day. The room was really big and comfortable and Bruno even provided travel Adapters and a TV with Movies! Bath clean and luxurious, breakfast was good, dog was cute, would certainly come again!

  • We were looking for a cheap place just to spend a few nights while we explored Galway and the Burren. Bruno's place provided excellent value, but it was also a great location. Bruno provides a very relaxed atmosphere, and accommodated our late arrival. We appreciated his warm welcome and greetings when he was around but also the freedom to come and go, the continental breakfast offerings left out each day, and his sweet dog Jasper who accompanied me on morning walks.

The accommodation includes a bedroom with a double and single bed and a living area with a king-size sofa bed (real mattress). The bathroom( W.C. and shower) is accessed through the bedroom. The kitchen area includes a fridge and cooking facilities.
We're on the Wild Atlantic Way about a mile away from Kinvara Village, 5min drive, 20min walk. Travelling by car is the most ideal way to visit Kinvara and the surrounds as many of the local scenic spots are not accessible by public transport.
  • Very nice welcome from Mary with small touches that are always fun. The accommodation is very clean. The surrounding area is very beautiful and soothing, close to a small village friendly.

  • Mary's place is great! She is very welcoming and helpful! All the little touches made it a wonderful stay. She makes fantastic granola!

    Marie2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is comfortable and well equipped. A short drive from the local village which has a good supermarket and plenty of places to eat. Central to many of the region’s best visitor attractions. You wake to the sound of cows or rain pattering on the skylights - very peaceful and rural. This is a great place to stay.

    Liz2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very dear host! The accommodation had everything you need and was really nicely decorated. There was a very delicious, I suppose homemade cereal + milk, orange juice, jam ... just great! We felt very comfortable here and had a great time. Thanks a lot for this!

    Stefanie2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great stay for me, a private detached farm building, green fields all around. Good access to local attractions including the fantastic ruins of Kilmacduagh monastery which is not on any tour guides. Don't forget to ask for the key from the house opposite so you can go inside the structures. Internet was good in the lounge room.

    Ian2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary has been a great host: she gave us precise indications on how to find her home and then also very useful information for visiting and eating. We loved the fact that in the house there was somethng for breakfast and a lot of interesting books. The house was clean and like in the pictures. We liked our staying in Kinvara very much, so we defenitely recommend to stay by Mary.

    Alessandro2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is clean, quiet, roomy and she supplies you with homemade granola, yogurt and a bowl of fruit each morning.

    Peter2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment with everything you need for a stay! About 2 km from center of Kinvara, a great place as a starting point for visiting The Burren, walking Cliffs of Moher and checking out parts of the Wild Atlantik Way!! When you are there, "climb" Abbey Hill - great views in the evening light (but you should be back at your car before sun sets 😉) We would stay there again

  • Beautiful place and special people Much better than expected

    Fabian2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay at Della's place. Communication before arrival was easy, she provided us with all the information needed to find her house, which is a bit outside of the town. The room as well as the kitchen were very well eqquiped. The Coole Park nearby is a great area for a walk. Also, Della's house is a good point for a trip to the Cliffs of Moher! Thank you very much for hosting us!

    Alexander2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place and Della was a great host.

  • Stayed just one night while driving around Ireland, but wish we could have stayed longer! Della's place is great with a lounge area and small kitchen for guests to use and our bedroom with ensuite was lovely. Supermarkets/town was a short drive and Coole Park was a very short walk and a wonderful place to explore. Della is very easy to communicate with and she and her husband are welcoming and friendly. It was so lovely chatting to you Della, thanks for a great stay!

  • The house was beautiful and well kept and the room was very spacious. About a 30 minute bus ride to Galway and in a beautiful part of the countryside. Brigid was extremely helpful and welcoming.

  • We had a lovely stay ! The place is clean and welcoming with nice touches like fruits on the table and nibbles. Tea, coffee sugar and milk were available as well as a nice space to seat and relax. Would recommend to travelers as a nice stop.

    Veronique2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house. We had the impression of taking a nice step in the past. Little more, linens at the top whether it is sheets or towels (high quality).

    Mélinda2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location, fully recommendable.

    Esteban2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming and authentic accommodation !! The hosts only briefly because we were traveling a lot, but they are super nice! The bathroom has to be shared with the other guests, that is not a problem so far but very noisy if someone shower. (Our room was next door) WLAN was not enough to the room.

    Tina-Sophie2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great at Birgid. A nice house, a nice room and very friendly hosts. Unfortunately, the wireless internet in the room did not work.

    Liz2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • James and Ciara’s place has everything - stunning location, thoughtfully presented with many little touches that made staying all the more enjoyable. They thought of everything. It’s very convenient for both The Burren and Galway and the Yeats/Lady Gregory Coole Park is only a short distance away. James also recommended some great restaurants. I’m planning when I can return!

    Margot2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time with our 2 children in the cottage and felt very comfortable! When we arrived the fireplace was already on and James gave us a great introduction to the house! He also gave us very good start-up and restaurant tips! The cottage was great for exploring the Burren National Park, Cliffs of Moher and Galway!

    Christian2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a taste of paradise, go to James & Ciara! Their cottage is in a park where you can see a beautiful sunset on the surrounding fields. Time stops at Ardrahan, and nature invades you with its benefits!

    Annabelle2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend staying at this beautiful cottage! We enjoyed a warm welcome and excellent hospitality from James and Ciara. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and the extra touches made our stay extra special. We would definitely recommend this lovely home.

    Laura2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • You will be delighted with this special place to lay your head while in the Galway area. The sound of cows out the windows was lovely in the morning while enjoying the provided Nespresso coffee and tasty breakfast treats. The crackling, romantic wood fire was so lovely to enjoy. This was just the kind of quaint home we looked forward to staying in during our stay in Ireland, and provided the added bonus of a separate bedroom which we could not find at a traditional B&B. Thank you James and Ciara for a lovely stay! Best wishes.

    Matt2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very lovingly decorated cottage. Super Cute Landlords. James turned on the stove every night. No moisture or mold at all despite the old masonry. Everything sparkling clean and very good and high quality equipment. Great view. Clear 5 stars.

  • I cannot begin to describe what a beautiful combination of cottage and host that this location offers. The neat, tidy and well appointee cottage was spectacular and of particular pleasure was watching the sheep in the field next door. Noeline was a spectacular host and there is not enough words to describe how much help she was Toni's during our stay. I have stayed at many AirBnB and this was the best host experience I have ever had. Highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!

    Andrew2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • All great, hospitality, cleanliness, location ...

    Gara2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Noeline and her family are great, the house was spotless and they helped us with everything we needed. It's outside of Galway, but if you have a car you are rewarded with a confy place and great countryside views just 35' away from the city center.

    Gabriel2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • a home well above our expectations, a cozy little nest that we did not want to leave. a clean house warm and carefully decorated. and what about our hosts? they received us as members of their family being present when we wanted, in short no longer wait to book this little nugget!

Kind and caring ... and experienced. We had a fabulous time. The house was spotless. The fridge was stocked. And Jerry and Noeline gave us the perfect recommendation for a day trip. They all went out of their way to help us settle in. We will definitely be back! Thank you a million times over!

  • Eamonn and Tina were the most amazing and gracious hosts. They were very welcoming and helpful with local tips and sightseeing. The space is within a half hour drive of Galway city, but secluded and romantic while convenient. It’s a very open space and a beautiful home. We are so happy to have chosen Tonroe Cottage for our stay.

    Joe2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Eamonn and Tinas cottage, with a very warm welcome and a great setup for our infant daughter with highchair, travel cot and fire guard in the cottage. the cottage has beautiful original features along with a modern kitchen, it was great to relax by the stove for the winters evenings!

Room 1 is the bedroom on the left looking at the house from the front.
  • A great place to stay away from the crowds. A thoughtful and considerate host.
