Private room in a country home. Surrounded on 3 sides by a Cedar grove in rural country side just outside of the town of Shelburne. One room inside the house with shared shower and washroom facilities and wifi.
Secluded cedar grove with 2 acres, 10 mins from the town of Shelburne, 25 mins from Orangeville. Lots of room for running around and playing games. Use our BBQ or kitchen facilities. We have a shower on the second floor next to the guest bedroom.
We live on a typical dirt, rural road. Our nearest neighbor is across the farmers field. There is a wooded area across the street. It is very quiet except for the periodic vehicles that travel up and down the road.
  • My second stay with Pam and Wes. Lovely couple to stay with.

    Mary2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Wesley are warm and entertaining hosts! The check-in using the numerical code worked without any problems and let us into the house before the two were finished. For tea lovers: ask about the traditional Chinese tea ritual with original tea service :)

  • Sheila was a very welcoming host, including a personal welcome placed on the bedside table. Her home is lovely and comfortable. I enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend her home to anyone. Look forward to staying here again.

    Mary2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila’s place was great for our stay, easy to find and a lovely room. We had a wedding at the Hockley Valley resort just 10 mins up the road and this Airbnb was a perfect alternative to an expensive hotel. We had a seamless time. No lock to the private room for when you leave- maybe there was and we just didn’t ask. Otherwise great value and post is true to its photos/details.

    Roisin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, Sheila was quick to respond to all of our messages and questions! Room was exactly was we needed for our overnight stay, would highly recommend!

  • While staying with Sheila you can expect amazing hospitality, a clean and well-decorated room, and very easy communication!

    Holly2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had in incredible stay at Sheila’s beautiful home. She was very flexible and accommodated our check in early and check out late. She and her family are very kind and welcoming as well. Sheila went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She encouraged us to go skiing and let us borrow her winter gear, which we really appreciated. On the last day of our stay, she made us a delicious breakfast too. We had a pleasure getting to know her, Whitney, Buddy and Lily, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for everything Sheila!

    Sarah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila has lovely home that is very cozy and welcoming. My girlfriend and I were passing through the area and thought this would be a good place to stop on a long road trip. It turned wonderfully. Thanks.

    Kurt2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and private place. Sheila was very responsive and cared for us a lot. Welcoming home and Sheila allowed us to use the common spaces. She also made us chocolate, cranberry, coconut muffins which were the best muffins I have had till date.

  • Cheri and Kevin, and their Loft, is everything its cracked up to be. They are generous and their space and hospitality lavish. Clean, stylin’ and full of wee perks. No complaints AT ALL. I cant even suggest anything to make it better! The hot tub was glorious in the snow, and the bed comfy. So nice to have our own ensuite bathroom.

    Corinna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot, tastefully decorated and the room wiht the en-suite and walk-out to the hot tub is wonderful. My husband and I went there for Valentine's week-end and it was perfect !! Also walking distance from a number of great restaurants and pubs in Shelburne. Would not hestitate to reccommend.

The hot tub directly outside of the bedroom and the attached en suite feel private, yet you have all of the amenities of a full home if you need them. The cafe downstairs is super convenient if you are there on a school day! We were skiing at Mansfield Ski Club (great hills) and will definitely stay here again when we return.

    Stevie2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay in Shelburne, and Cheri made it even more delightful. She gave me space when I wanted it, but also warmly welcomed me in her home. As far as shared accommodations go, this was fantastic.

  • Kim's place was the perfect getaway for our family. The cottage has everything you need and the bed is so comfortable! We played cards, jacks and watched Netflix in a charming and comfortable setting. Kim was communicative and the space very welcoming with water, yogurt, coffee, cookies and more. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. The cottage is also situated very close to Hockley Valley for skiing in the area. I also recommend Angel's Diner for food and then hitting up Bulk Barn for late night snacks. Thanks again Kim and Family :)

    Tanya2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place was absolutely incredible! We only stayed for one night, but it is by far one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed at across 4 countries. She personalized the home by writing a welcome to us on the board, and even had little chocolates for us. She also had a little breakfast ready! Everything was incredibly clean and cute. I would come back in a heartbeat!

  • Great place to stay, will repeat.

    Paul2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights in November. I was a little unsure since it’s literally a cabin in the woods with no running water, but honestly it was great! David was so kind in bringing us an extra heater, heated blanket and mattress topper without us having to ask. It’s a cute little place and a safe haven to escape to when life seems like a little too much to deal with. Excited to stay here again sometime :)

    Whitney2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay at this beautiful cabin! Great getaway from the city. Heated blankets were a great touch. Bring own water and flashlights. Wifi connects but is unusably slow - hope you're not here to be on wifi anyways ;) Thanks for the stay, will be back!!

    Martin2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, clean, and peaceful cabins! We stayed in bunkies 3 and 1 and both were lovely. Comfy bedding with lots of warm blankets, and heaters that could easily handle the cool October evenings. David made us feel welcome when we arrived and then left us to our unwinding. Bring $10 cash for firewood and be sure to check out the cute antique shops and bakeries in nearby Erin.

    Amy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

  • Great weekend getaway, far enough away, but close enough to home. We loved the peacefulness of the cabin, and the hosts were fantastic! We loved the quiet winter cabin, but would definitely like to go back in nicer weather to enjoy the outdoor seating! It was so great that we could bring our dog, too! He loved the river and trails!

    Samantha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a homely, well appointed cabin, set beside the Credit River. Inside there is electric thermostatic heating, and many useful items provided, along with antiques to recall some local history. It makes an excellent base for hiking the many woodland trails in the vicinity.

    Caroline2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot. So many extra amenities inside, this place is so great!

    Ben2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Beautiful property, great hiking trails nearby, was a perfect solo winter getaway!

    Julia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely little mini-vacation here! Close to Toronto, and yet it really felt like we got away. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We came prepared with foods we could reheat in the kitchenette, and for one of our meals we visited a local restaurant (included in the cabin is a booklet of information with all kinds of great tips about places to visit, as well as local history). Not only are the surrounding conservation areas beautiful and great to visit, but the property itself has some really lovely trails, complete with lots of seating areas along the river and in the forest so you can just sit and enjoy. :) Winter was a beautiful season to visit, and I bet other seasons are just as lovely in totally different ways. We'll have to come back!

    Sonja2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin is a perfect retreat. Great trails, great amenities, great location. It’s a must for a romantic getaway, a fishing trip or even some time away with a friend. There is something for everyone here.

  • Susan was a great communicator! Anytime we had a query, she was right back to us within minutes. She was very understanding when all of the highways were shut down and we were unable to make it for the first night of our trip. The room was very comfortable for the four of us. And, if we had remembered our bathing suits, we would have really enjoyed that hot tub. This retreat was exactly as advertised. Well done, Susan!

    Judy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place was a perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. We drove in during a snow storm and she had the fireplace going for us when we arrived. The hot tub is literally right outside of the front door, there was a thoughtful selection for breakfast items, and the overall atmosphere of the space was private and modern. I would 100% recommendthis space to my friends and family!

Come & relax...in privacy. This bachelor-style unit is newly renovated, unique & intimate. You will be away from the main house, in your own building. Amazing Kitchen area, complete with gas range. New shower in the spacious & elegant bathroom. The Murphy bed has a luxury-firm queen mattress, & stows away in a snap for your convenience. Church bench style booth for meals, or a bit of banter. Throw on the fireplace, & curl up with a book! Try to find a cooler place, in a better spot than this!
Most people are pleasantly surprised when they walk in! It has a warm, welcoming and classy vibe. Why don't you pop in, and let us know if you agree? :)
Orangeville is a beautiful small town, with a cool little past. You will be staying it's Downtown neighbourhood, and you will see it has a lot to offer. Why not go for a stroll in this historic area, and take in some of the local Victorian architecture? Our main street, Broadway, is award winning & boasts an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants & theatre that will pleasantly surprise. Nothing is too far away from this central locale. If you are a “foodie”, and enjoy cooking with fresh local ingredients...How about taking a 10 min stroll down to the Farmer's Market, on a Saturday morning? There is room to create in that great kitchen, and it’s equipped with a nice gas range! Enjoy your final product in the diner booth, and then relax...the dishwasher will do the rest. :)

The space is beautiful and has everything you need for a short or long stay. It is walking distance from downtown Orangeville and all of the great restaurants and bars in the area. Andrew and Amee were responsive and easy to communicate with and offered to help with any of our questions. I highly recommend this apartment and Andrew and Amee when looking for a place to stay!

A private micro-cottage with a breath-taking view. Perfect for anyone looking to escape the city of Toronto in less than an hour, seeking a place to just talk and enjoy nature or anyone who needs a secluded spot for rest, relaxation and contemplation.
This is a 107 Square foot "Tea-Cup Chalet" that was cut from genuine Canadian forest and built by hand onsite. The Setting is high atop a hill that has an amazing vantage point of the surrounding countryside. Just a 4 minute drive into the charming town of Erin, ON. We are situated approximately 20 minutes north of the 401. Most guests describe the Teacup Chalet as cozy and with everything they need: screens on all windows, power supply for charging devices, wifi, fans in the summer and heaters / heating blankets in the winter. We've even got a writing desk and chair if you're feeling creative!
This is a private cabin in the country. Within a very short drive however there are fantastic dining, entertainment and shopping options like the Toronto Premium Outlets. Our guidebook is filled with fun things to do during your stay.
  • We had a pleasant stay in the bunkie. We had a nice view from on top of the hill and had everything we needed to be comfortable. A very short jaunt over to Erin, where we found some nice restaurants and the Forks of the Credit provincial park for some hiking.

  • Eric and Diana’s place is amazing, and they’re the most wonderful and welcoming hosts. They were so helpful in telling us about the area, and Eric in booking a dinner reservation for us, helping me with my car, making us an amazing breakfast and coffee every morning—all of it. Highly recommend this place. It’s cozy, great for hiking, and the hot tub is unreal. Truly the best getaway.

    Danielle2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to spend a weekend away from the city. The hosts are very helpful with tips for nearby hiking etc. The space is really pretty and they make a mean breakfast. I would 100% recommend a visit to this relaxing lodge.

    Juliana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The communication was very accurate, the bedroom was very comfortable and there was an ease to the whole experience as Diana and Eric are great hosts and interesting people. What can’t be overstated is the beautiful location and surrounding forest. My evening walk to the top of the valley to watch the sunset and subsequent return in the twilight was a highlight. Then off for a meal at the nearby Terra Nova Public House. By Scott! I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thanks!

    Mark2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay. They exceeded my expectations. Quaint log home with a hot tub and beautiful scenery. My parent and I were treated with amazing hospitality by the owners Diana and Eric. Great place for couples and family’s. Defiantly will come again.

    Nic2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very happy with our stay ! We got a lot of snow and it wasn't too cold so we could enjoy the outdoors for hours and hours. This included a lovely 2 hours hike in the forest, making a snowman & hot tub experience in the snow ! Also Diana and Eric were so nice and made our stay very comfortable ! It was nice to meet them and we hope to see them again !

    Amonsak2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, beautiful surroundings, and Diana is on point with her communication and hospitality. Would highly recommend this Log Home in Ontario’s backyard. Heaps to do in the area and a great way to immerse yourself in a haven of natural beauty.

    May2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we booked Diana was so responsive and very informative which made me very excited for the weekend (one night) escape from the city. The weather ensured that we stay put and Diana welcomed us into her space. The photos don’t do the space justice. It’s filled with plants and instruments, and the coziness is perfection a little getaway. We used her kitchen to make dinner and it was great to have all the tools we needed in one space. Diana let us have the other room we didn’t book because it had a larger bed which was very nice. It looked out to the snowy trail and the hot-tub we did not get to use because of the freezing rain, next time for sure ☺️ In the morning Diana had set out fresh fruit and yogurt. We didn’t have breakfast (eggs and bacon) it was included because we wanted to go to Pete’s Deli for bagels and donuts and get a hike in at the Mono Cliffs which we did because the weather was so much better. I would stay here again, Diana was very hospitable!

Sparkling clean, laundry, two bed rooms. This one is for Doug. My wife and I did not LIKE the mattress. We LOVED it. They are so comfortable we slept right through better than home, and they have a very young baby and we never heard a boo. thank you guys ever so much for being with air bnb We will book again next time in town

Private retreat with outside fun and social distancing. No need to meet, and a chance to get away while still staying socially responsible, this cabin is close to beautiful hiking, walking and bicycling trails. Suitable for couples, business travellers or lone wolves. Less than an hour from Toronto, this cabin / studio is located in the beautiful village of Belfountain, nestled in the Caledon Hills. Artsy or not, you will enjoy the creative atmosphere and spectacular surroundings. .
This one hundred year old cabin (no basement) doubles as my studio, and is located right in the village. It is a nice place to get creative, whether it be with your partner or for work, and the surroundings are spectacular throughout the year.. It is equipped with a kitchenette and shower, and the garden offers a private space in which to dine or just relax. The steep stairs lead to a loft with a super comfortable king sized bed. I supply the Netflix, you supply the chill :)
The Neighbourhood Belfountain. It's small, but it has quality content. At the three corners you will find two 'coffee shops'. They are open early and have fancy choices and yummy treats. There are a couple of other shops, and ice cream's abound (in the summer). Also check out the Belfountain Inn (around the corner) for fine dining that you can walk back from. The provincial park is spectacular (with a waterfall, a 1900's party cave and suspension bridge) and well worth the small fee they charge to get in. It has trails that loop but also trails that meet up with the Bruce trail. If you want to access the Bruce trail without going into the park, turn onto Caledon Mountain road just south of Belfountain, before the cemetery, go to the end of the road and park by the fence. You will see signs and blazes that will lead you to the edge of the Niagara escarpment, a beautiful view and a fantastic hike. South of Belfountain, east along Old Base Line you will find the famous 'badlands', a cool photo opportunity. (unfortunately they got too famous, so you are no longer allowed to walk on them) and just south of there (on Boston Mill rd) is the Spirit Tree Estate Cidery which is a nice place for lunch and a good place to get different kinds of yummy treats. The Caledon rail trail is a fantastic bike (and cross country ski) trail that can be accessed from any of the roads it crosses around here. The closest is up Shaws Creek Road (the next rd west of here) north about a km. Erin is the closest town with a grocery store, Timmy's, LCBO and Beer store. It is 6 km away. Turn left at the stop sign and follow Bush street all the way to the end where it bends into Erin. There are also some beautiful stores there for other kinds of shopping, a legendary bakery, a chocolate shop and a bistro at the end of the main st. Alton is a funky town you might like to check out. (ten mins north of here on 136) It has the Alton Mill which is full of artist run galleries and one of the best restaurants around, called Ray's Third Generation. If you like Japanese food, Inaka in Caledon is excellent. They have sit in and take out. Orangeville is a twenty minute drive north of here and it has more than it's fair share of excellent restaurants. The Bluebird is one of the most famous for it's excellent food and reasonable prices. If you like steak, check out Steak 63. Forage is about seasonal entrees , Rustik is modern dining with local ingredients, The Barley Vine Rail is a 'Canadian eatery with music and craft beer' and the list goes on. For breakfast check out Judy's In Erin :) Reservations for all the restaurants are highly recommended. If you are leaving here on a Summer Sunday and you are looking for something cool to do, check out the Aberfoyle Antique Market. It's a 45 minute drive through the country and well worth the destination if you like antique and 'fun-stuff' shopping. When you are ready to head home from there you will be two minutes from the 401. Have fun :)

  • I car camped on Wes and Pam's property over theThanksgiving weekend.. Their property is rural, on a dirt road, quaintly surrounded by pine trees and farm fields.. It was the perfect spot to tuck away my Jeep for the night while in town hiking the Bruce Trail.. Access to amenities in Shelburne were within 10-15 min drive away.. A clean, compostable toilet and shower were also available for use. Wes and Pam were hospitable, friendly hosts and it was a real pleasure chatting with them. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Our "Loftie" that was cut from genuine boreal forest and built by hand onsite. The main area of the bunkie is the size of a typical bedroom and includes a comfy chair, queen sized bed and writers desk. There is also a large Loft that's perfect for 2 kids or 1 adult to sleep in. The Setting is high atop a hill that has an amazing vantage point of the surrounding countryside. Just a 4 minute drive into the charming town of Erin, ON. We are situated approximately 20 minutes north of the 401.
We live in the country near a lovely little small town named Erin. We have no immediate neighbours other than forest and farmland.
  • We stayed at the bunkie on a cold winter night in December. The bunkie was just as shown, small and cozy, sequestered from the noise of everyday life. We managed to stay warm even though the temperatures dipped quite low. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable bed and the wonderful heated blankets which were quite a nice touch. This bunkie is highly recommended and we would love to come back.

  • I brought my 11 year old and we spent two cozy nights at the cabin, playing in the snow, relaxing, talking, and exploring the lovely little town of Erin. A great way to spend unplugged time, we loved it.

  • We booked our stay because we wanted to see how comfortable a bunkie could be. We plan to purchase one. It’s really cozy and felt much “bigger” than I expected. I love the location, it felt like a get away even though we were an hour from home. Thanks again!

  • Great place for a nice relaxing weekend getaway. You're still close to civilization with the feeling of being in the country! Vince and Miranda were great hosts. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you guys for letting us use your place and we will definitely be returning for future events.

    Michael2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda and Vince are incredible hosts! They are thoughtful and caring and always take time to ensure that their guests are well looked after. On this visit Vince prepared the sauna for us! It was freezing out and yet he took the time to do this. This added touch, combined with their respect for their guest’s privacy, is the reason why we continue to book with them. The property is beautiful and romantic. The amenities offered, along with the natural beauty around the place, make this a perfect getaway! Thank you again!

    Paul2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice place. It’s a very, very nice place. We enjoyed many of the things that Miranda & Vince recommended, including watching scenery from the very giant windows, snowshoeing around the property, warming up in the sauna and rolling around in the snow when it was -14°C (seriously! super fun), and relaxing by the fireplace. All of our needs were taken care of, we appreciated the hosts’ hospitality.

    Mike2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great winter getaway! A cozy, super clean, stylish space with awesome views and only a short drive from the city. We loved walking down the country roads and warming up afterward with a woodstove fire. The suite had everything we could want, including a very comfy bed. Miranda and Vince were super helpful and quick to respond. We'd love to return. Thanks, guys!

    Brianna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is a perfect weekend escape. Close enough to the city to be an easy drive, but quiet and peaceful. The space is absolutely spotless and filled with all sorts of nice touches, from (amazingly effective!) fire starters to a welcome note and some chocolates. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quiet evening spent reading by the fire!

    Alex2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

  • Cute little apartment, tastefully decorated, clean, with all of the basic necessities for a short stay. The hosts are great with communication.

    Carrie2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay!!

    Punniah2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s place is a hidden gem, warm and inviting. The place itself is clean and fully stocked. Big TVs, a comfy couch, and big bed. The is a smaller kitchen set up (like a hotel suite). If you need anything more substantive you just need to walk next door. Situated a few doors down (like 10 feet!) is a bakery and bistro unparalleled by any other. In the day you will be overwhelmed by homemade baking and satiated by dinner. There is often great live music, but if you are not into that you won’t hear a peep from the apartment. Mostly, the hosts are great people, into you enjoying the space and area. They are warm, talented and funny folks that are very responsive. Come to this place to hide away in the winter or as a homebase for taking in the surrounding area in the summer.

  • Rose is wonderfully easy to reach and communicate with. Check-in was effortless and she made sure the outside lights were on for our arrival as we were going to be late. The apartment is spotless and well furnished. It was so nice to have a place to rest after such a long day, and the bedroom was really comfortable. Rose has taken immense care to provide all basic amenities you could require, better than a hotel, and has added many extra little touches to make your stay welcoming and relaxing. It is easy to see why she is a Superhost, and how she takes great pride in hosting you.

  • Wendy's place is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. The place was sparkling clean and everything one might need was there on site. We especially loved the wood stove which we had on all evening. Wendy herself was very nice and messaged us ahead of time to tell us the road conditions were really bad due to a snow storm and sais she would understand if we cancelled the first night, which we ended up doing just to be safe. I would highly recommend her place for a weekend getaway from the city!

The place was spotless and there was lots of light into the unit from all the windows, showcasing the beautiful yard, forest and brook behind. We were close to the nearby ski hill and Wendy had a great binder with tips about the area that we used. Would visit again for sure!

  • Enjoyed our stay. Wendy responded very quickly and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Lovely, quiet property. Very clean house. Would recommend to anyone :)

Wi-fi is available for limited use at the yoga studio and there is cell phone reception. The Yurt sleeps up to 4 people. 1 double bed and 2 singles put together to make a king. There is no hydro available there, but has a woodstove, and attached composting toilet with a minute walk to the main house and bathroom. A few flashlights and lamp are provided. There is an outdoor kitchen with a propane barbecue, firepit and water. We have pots and a frying pan available as well as plates, mugs, utensils and a cooler.
We live in a private tranquil setting, a 5 minute drive to the town of Shelburne.
  • Rent this yurt! Countless hiking trails within a 15 minute drive, and many other small town features close-by, this yurt is perfect for families, couples, and small groups. There isn't an electrical connection available inside the yurt, so you'll need to bring back-up battery powerbanks to recharge your phones, or simply leave them in the owner's house overnight. Overall, this was a fantastic weekend getaway, and we look forward to returning here in the near future! <3 Thanks Ellen!

    Marcus2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen is super nice and responsive! Loved the yurt. Much cozier than expected and the hot tub was great as well. Suggestions: bring an additional lantern and refillable water bottles

  • Had such a wonderful time this past weekend ! Everything was exactly as promised and Ellen and Joey were great hosts. Was our 2nd visit and will for sure be coming back 😊

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was fantastic, easy to keep warm and very comfy. Ellen was a great host who offered lots of tips for things to do in the area, and supplied tons of fire wood to keep us very warm and cozy! Will definitely be returning!

    Ricardo2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great get away! Was glad we brought extra lamps for lighting as it is quite dark. Beds were ok for a 2 night stay. The hot tub is amazing! There is lots of information about the trails that are near by. WE loved this stay and plan on returning!

    Sharon2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We want to thank Ellen and Joey for the amazing hospitality while we stayed at their yurt. We were so cozy and it was the perfect getaway with our dog! Communication before arrival was excellent and check in was easy with a tour of the property and instructions for working the wood stove. Helpful tips for packing: extra kindling from your recycling would be helpful as we went in the winter and had the fire going continuously. Extra lanterns: they provided about 5 but we would have liked a few more. Bring board games! Our favourite moments when we were UNPLUGGED and enjoying each others company. There were plenty of blankets so we were happy we didn’t pack extra. We explored a lot around the property and went to the Bruce trail which was very close! We heated our food on the wood stove so it would be helpful if you precooked you’re food and heated it up when ready to eat! You will not regret escaping to this spiritual yurt, we hope to visit again soon!

  • Ellen and Joey are amazing hosts who have built the yurt on their property with lots of love. My partner and I arrived earlier than anticipated, and Ellen greeted us with a smile while Joey had already begun warming up our yurt. The entire property itself is stunning and secluded, providing the perfect serene scenery with an abundance of trails and a hot tub nearby to unwind. The property is also a short drive away from the beautiful provincial park, where there are many more trails to enjoy. The yurt has all the amenities for a comfortable stay, including firewood, some lanterns and flashlights, and the necessities for cooking on the fireplace. This lovely place is just over an hour outside of Toronto in the winter, making it the cherry on top of a perfect winter getaway. Thank you, Joey and Ellen!

  • The yurt was beautiful, exactly as described. We were there during an ice storm but the yurt was very cozy and comfortable. There was a composting toilet attached as well for convenience. We will definately visit again.

Welcome to the Stone Heron, a diamond in the country side! An hour from Toronto. Small stone house completely reno'd! Large master bedroom, gorgeous bathroom 2nd BR bunk beds w/game table downstairs a pool table & darts. DVD, TV wii. Entire home is yours to use, its private, nestled into a hillside covered in periwinkle -nature your only neighbour! Large pond walking trails, wildlife, unplug relax and enjoy! This is truly an amazing property! Star filled nights amazing sunsets. Pet friendly
Entire house and property is yours to use, it's a lovely stone house built in the 1880's. We got lucky to purchase it 2017 and have worked for 1 1/2 years gutting it to the old stone walls, dig down the basement and rebuilt the entire thing from the inside. Ongoing outside work with more trails and bigger pond in the works! This place is soul food! A place to unwind, un connect and reconnect! Let’s discuss wifi , I use to have it there, and I’ve decided to remove the password. It’s cellular it’s slow it’s limited. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Rules of limited use, no streaming and only 1 user pls were being abused. I was getting phone calls that “we’re streaming the game and it keeps glitching...”. “It’s not fast enough for all 4 of us to be on at once!” Guests would run me over - then it was shut off for the rest of the month. ( made other guests happy!) I can’t get unlimited up there- there’s no line of site. Neither Rogers or bell cover it- or the other 6 companies I’ve tried. Welcome to the country, our net is slow, our stars are bright our land is beautiful. Our internet sucks ... lol. I’ve added bell service for TV up there. There’s a smart tv - welcome to stream on your data. I’m sorry if this disappoints, this is the only way to be fair to everyone! Come unplug, unwind and reconnect to the things that are important! Cheers
An hour from Toronto this is a diamond in the rough! Pictures don't do it justice at all, it's between grand valley and Arthur. It's 15 minutes from fergus, 20 from Elora. It's close to the Luther marsh. Soul food!
  • Lovingly restored stone house. Private. Quiet. Beautiful sunset. Star filled sky. Snowshoeing through the forest or open fields. A game of pool or darts. Cozy fireplace. Modern bathroom. Spacious master bedroom. Generous and responsive host.

  • Cozy stone cottage in a lovely natural setting with great amenities. And close to quaint towns to explore. We loved it!

  • Anita's place is an absolute gem! It's the perfect place to come and visit the country. Our dog loved running outside in the surrounding forest and curling up by the fire in the evening. We would definitely come back again! The beds are so comfortable and it has everything you could want. The bathroom is AMAZING! Loved having a big bubble bath. Thank you to Anita and her family for welcoming us!

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • By far my favourite Airbnb experience to date. Anitas place is incredible with so many thoughtful touches and great decor. Amenities were over and above our expectations, super comfortable beds and cozy linens. Loved the pool table and darts in the basement. The best part is the location , so quiet and secluded surrounded by nature but close enough to everything you would need. Anita was great to communicate with and I would not hesitate to return or recommend. Thanks for allowing us to use your space for a great weekend !

  • What a beautiful spot to relax and be with nature. Anita’s stone house has been beautifully restored, even nicer than the pictures. The property is very private and quiet and the house has everything you need. Especially loved exploring in the snow and soaking in the tub!! Thanks, Krista, John and Nelson:)

    Krista2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anita is a great host. She ensured that we were well taken care of and knew our way around the house. She is prompt and friendly. The Stone Heron is well appointed, with beautiful furnishings and a stunning view. The house is clean and fully equipped with a washer and dryer. Anita is also kind enough to have a fully stocked kitchen and fridge with everything you might need - you don't really need to bring your own food, she has more than enough to accommodate a family of 3 and a dog! A great choice for a retreat into nature! Thanks, Anita!
