Vacation rentals in Rud

We felt right at home in Linnea and Ted's lovely house. It is very tastefully decorated. The bus in front of the door will take you to the city in no time. The lake is close by. For the art lovers: definitely visit Sandgrund by painter Lars Lerin in Karlstad.

We only had one night on the way to the ski holiday but it was perfect for three families and nice that the beds were made and everything was neat and clean

We had a wonderful stay in Liljedal. It was perfect for visiting y family, peaceful, lovely walks, great little cafe on quay. We had to collect our car the day after our arrival as our train was delayed and Jacqueline very kindly took us to the car hire centre. She responded to any queries immediately and went above and beyond in helping us. We would love to return at some point.

To say we had a nice stay would be an understatement! The accomidation is so lovely and we had an amazing vacation. The pool deck is even nicer than you might think from the pictures. The pool costs a little extra (120€ for the week as of 2022), which would have been nice to write in the listing. Given the pool is heated and has to be maintained the cost is understandable though of course. The next grocery store is about 15min by car and the next bigger town about 40 to 50min. Given how nice the house is you might not want to leave though :) We had a lot of fun taking the SUP and the canoe out to the lake, we even had the chance to do this with our little dogs for the very first time, so that was a really great experience. There is even a grill, which Linda and Peter were kind enough to let us borrow. All basic spices, oils and such were also there to borrow. The surrounding forrest is beautiful too and there were plenty of mushrooms to pick. Lastly two things worth noting (These werent issues for us but might be worth knowing for others). Both the pool deck and the garden are not fenced in, so if you have small kids or dogs you will have to keep an extra eye out. And the larger beds in the main house are in separate rooms but the rooms are only separated by a curtain. Again, these were really non issues when you take into account how lovely the rest of the place was! So, thank you again for letting us stay here, Linda and Peter!

Peaceful and beautiful place. I really enjoyed this house and have a wonderful moment. Luckily, I saw the Aurora in the night time. Small town is not too far away from the house, whenever I want to buy something, I just visit the town easily. Also the town have a great swimming pool. I really love the swimming pool. Only one thing, since I do not know how to use motor boat, I could not use it. Also, before I arrived there, I asked some questions about fishing equipment rental and host borrowed me the fishing equipment, although I could not use it due to motor boat issues. Anyway, the host was very kind and provide useful information to me. Highly recommend this house 👍

We spent two wonderful weeks in this idyllically located house. Spending the nights under the starry sky in the small guest house by the lake topped everything - as did the entire property. But not only the direct lakeside location of the house, also the wider surroundings in Dalsland, the beautiful lakes and the great lock construction (Haverud) fascinated us. The many easily accessible nature reserves also offer everything you could imagine in Sweden. There has been a warm contact with Thomas, the landlord, since the booking and during the vacation he was always kind and helpful to us. We'd love to come back - vis ses...

Thank you for a nice time in Sweden. We enjoyed the accommodation very much. A great location right by the forest. Every morning and evening deer were visiting. A great kitchen with lots of space for cooking and cozy living room for many people. Fireplace room, cinema, there was nothing missing. A short way to the lake to a great swimming spot or lock cafe. Good starting point for activities.

great cottage in a huge friendly street and great village! the cottage is packed with amenities. cv. shower with lovely rain shower. bedrooms with blackout curtains. kitchen is also equipped with all the comforts. there is also a booklet with important information and fun facts about the area. sam responds quickly and kindly to questions. definitely recommended for people who need to be nearby. or if you have to completely unwind, you are also very defective
