The space

A unique house, overlooking the 5 Terre sea and completely surrounded by Mediterranean forest.
THE HOUSE IS REACHED WALKING THROUGH A MOUNTAIN PATH (SOMETIMES UPHILL) OF NO MORE THAN 10/15 MINUTES; for this reason you should not take with you big suitcases but backpacks or shoulders bags.
THE WATER IN THE HOUSE IS NOT POTABLE.
IT WOULD BE BETTER TO COME BY CAR.
AQUEDUCT WATER MAY BE MISSING FOR A WHILE; IN THAT CASE YOU CAN STILL USE TANK WATER FOR TAKING A SHOWER OR FOR DOING THE WASHING UP.
Once you reach home you will relax in the three terraces which offer a superb view of the sea in TOTAL PRIVACY.
The house is set in the Cinque Terre National Park in an area classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is composed of a living room with a kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi internet and a fireplace, a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed.
Externally there are three terraces: one with an outdoor shower, one located on the roof of the house where there are two sunbeds, and one with a wood oven and barbecue. You can shade this last terrace with three roll-up sheets.
After dinner, your eyes will enjoy the unique sight of the moon reflected on the sea, your ears the gentle chirping of crickets, and the warm air will lead the poignant smells of the Mediterranean forest to your nostrils.
The house “La Volpe e l'Uva” is located in Fossola di Tramonti, 8 kilometers from La Spezia and 5 kilometers from Riomaggiore.
Upon arrival, you will be given a pass and a remote control for opening an automatic barrier, so it will be possible for you to access and park for free on a private street by displaying the pass on the dashboard of the car.

THE HOUSE CAN BE REACHED ON FOOT VIA A MOUNTAIN TRAIL UP A 10/15 MINUTE HILL; it is therefore advisable not to use trolley bags but rather backpacks or shoulder bags.

The GPS coordinates of the parking lot are: 44° 05' 15" N- 09° 46' 11" E
Alternatively, you can write Riomaggiore in the GPS "town" section and Fossola in the GPS "street" section.
Once in the city of La Spezia, follow the signs to Portovenere and Cinque Terre. After a few minutes, you'll reach a junction where on the left you proceed towards Portovenere while going straight you proceed towards Cinque Terre: you have to go straight down the uphill road towards Cinque Terre (Litoranea road).
After eight kilometers, take a long tunnel; just out of the tunnel on the left, there is a large open space where we will be waiting for you for check-in.
After parking the car, we will accompany you to the house across the path; for this reason, you should not take a trolley with you but shoulder bags or backpacks. For the same reason, we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes. Do not forget to bring an ELECTRIC TORCH to walk the path in the dark if you were to go out at night!

At one point you arrive at a crossroads where on the left you proceed towards Portovenere while going straight you proceed towards 5 Terre. Continue straight along the uphill road (Litoranea road) towards 5 Terre.
After 8 km, take a long tunnel: as soon as you exit the tunnel on the left, you will find a large open space where we will be waiting for you for check-in.
After parking the car, we will take you to the house through the path; for this reason, we advise you not to bring trolley suitcases but shoulder bags or backpacks.
For the same reason, we recommend that you wear comfortable shoes.
Don't forget to bring a FLASHLIGHT with you to be able to walk the path in the dark in case you go out in the evening!
