Quiet, private chalet room located between Kenosha and Guanella Pass, surrounded by pine and aspen trees, with a small pond and creek nearby. This is a peaceful spot to relax and enjoy nature in all seasons. The room has large windows, shades, a queen-size bed, and wall heat for comfort. Basic “glamping” setup with access to a clean, well-maintained portable restroom and sink. (No shower available). Pet-friendly and perfect for a quiet getaway.
The space
Our unique space offers 14 acres of picturesque scenery, outdoor seating near a small pond or creek, take a nap in the hammock, hike the Pike's National Trail close by, or on the boardwalk near the private Amphitheater. Mountain bike, plan a picnic adventure or retreat…bring your snowshoes or cross-country equipment in the winter. Inquire for details of private retreats, additional lodging options, foliage craft making and the hidden nature tipi. Great space for a photography shoot, bridal day…just sit back and dream.
Enjoy your adventures outdoors and then retreat, rest & relax in your private room. Great inspiration all around to journal, meditate, read a book, or just nap endlessly.
Ask about a custom carved redwood sign, or how to make your own walking stick or flower crown from the foliage on the land.

The property is located off US HWY 285, down a single-lane dirt road and is safe for passenger cars. *Winter month access requires AWD or 4WD, as the weather is not predictable and although the roads are mainly plowed, it is best safety practice at this elevation of 9,200.
Other things to note
Close by Guenella Pass, Kenosha Pass, CR 60, off road ATV, hunting area 51, nearby fly fishing, leaf peeping, hot springs, horseback riding, golf courses, local wine tasting, downtown Shawnee, Bailey, Fairplay (Southpark fame), Red Rock Amphitheater an hour away, and just a stone’s throw away from a bounty of some of the best hiking and snow skiing/shoeing in the Rockies. Great local restaurants nearby.
Our accessible boardwalk intersects with with our neighbor “Wilderness on Wheels”. You can experience the two miles of boardwalk with a donation and check in with WoW.
Shared space at the pond, amphitheater bbq areas and you may run into other guests enjoying the 14 acre property. The host is nearby the chalets and available for any questions during your stay.
