My friend and I ended our trip to Italy with the most incredible two nights at this beautiful house. Giacomo and Rolly were extremely kind, accommodating and friendly. We did not take a car and although it is recommended we were happy to stay at the house and relax all day. We met some of the other guests and drank wine with them as well as with our hosts on our final night, which was such a lovely experience getting to know people from around the world and hearing their different stories. The view from the balcony and up at the pool are absolutely breathtaking, as is the house itself. The rooms are spectacular and so tastefully decorated. There is only wifi access in the living room- which I think makes the house even more special- it encourages you to get outside and speak to people and to really disconnect from technology which is truly so refreshing. Had we have had Internet everywhere, we may have been in our rooms more often or Missed out on opportunities to meet the most lovely people. I highly recommend staying here. It was an absolute pleasure. Thanks again to Rolly and Giacomo for everything! Can't wait to return in the future! Best wishes to you both, Rachael
Expérience incroyable dans la superbe maison de Giacomo. Un havre de paix pour nous entre Pise et Florence. Giacomo nous a meme reservé une soirée magnifiquz sur son balcon toscan. Inoubliable!
Rolly was there to meet us, he was very accommodating, spoke good English & recommended places to visit. A beautiful old home which has been tastefully decorated, very quiet & views were stunning. Great place to relax or visit local towns & cities which were a short drive away. Large bedroom with lovely ensuite & extremely comfortable bed. If you appreciate good art you would love this place. Pool was an added bonus. Local restaurant within 200metres walk which was very reasonably priced but also a fully equipt kitchen was available. We enjoyed socialising with the other guests. Would highly recommend
We absolutely loved our stay in the old stone house in Tuscany/Lamporecchio. The house is perched on the side of a hill, and we woke up to a stunning view of Tuscany in the morning. It’s very clean, with rustic looks and all the amenities you could need. Giacomo was a very gracious host and was kind enough to come find us when we were unable to find his place. His house is not difficult to locate but it gets a little tricky after sunset, getting there before it gets dark would be helpful.
Would def recommend Giacomo's place to anyone!
The old stone house is a beautiful house, the pictures don't lie! We had bad weather so unfortunately didn't use the swimming pool and garden, which where very nice (as it looked). Our room was ok, nicely decorated and functional. Besides from a cold shower (no hot water on our first morning) and lack of wi-fi we had a good stay. Giacomo is welcoming and very kind and speaks very good English.
We stayed at the Old Stone House for 2 nights in August.. It was a last minute booking, the host was quick to reply and confirm.
The house is easy to find, own transport recommended. There is one handy shop within walking distance and a restaurant across the road. We took advantage of the well equipped kitchen to cook our own dinner and breakfast and ate on the beautiful terrace. It's huge with beautiful views, we spent many hours up there reading. The pool area is also beautiful, although not enough sun beds for all the guests.
The house is beautifully decorated with lots of art and items from all around the world.. We loved it, so much to look at and such a great design.
Wifi not great, but the view is. We enjoyed chatting to the other guests on the terrace.
Great location to explore the area.
The hosts were friendly, we only met briefly. Everything was perfect, this was one of my favourite places to stay in our 3 month European holiday!
The place is very beautiful, and the view from the room window looks like a paint. Giacomo & Rolly are very warm, kind and helpfull. The room was clean an pretty. The whole place feels like a hotel boutique. As we didn't go in high season we couldn't enjoy the terrace or the pool, but it look very nice.
Is very well located, you can drive to Pisa and Siena in 45 min by car. If you want to go around in the night to dink or eat something you can go to Pistoia in 20 min by car.
