The landscapes beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop.
We're on many cycling and hiking routes.
Wildlife in abundance
Beautiful towns and beaches.
The caravan is fully equipped and not far from the main house where we are if you need assistance.

The space
It's very important to give a rough idea of arrival time please as it's on a very small hobby farm with a few animals that need to be looked after different times of the day.
We have a page called Pickle and pals if you want to have a look.
The caravan is supplied with fresh towels and bedding.

Guest access
Guests have a fully functioning static caravan/trailer with its own kitchen, outdoor space, secure parking and private bbq area and dip pool

Other things to note
smoking is allowed (fires are a massive risk so please be sensible) For single night bookings I cannot guarantee that you will get to meet and greet the animals I'm afraid.
Fancything different or unique?
We have a few animals :)
9 goats
2 miniature pigs
I Shetland pony (1 year old)
A variety of feathered fowl too!
But there are rules I'm afraid!!
If you want to visit or walk with the animals, please let me know in advance.
Whilst with the animals I will not tolerate any bad behaviour (from you or them)
The animals will be treated with nothing but kindness and respect.
They are all gentle and friendly and I'd rather they stay that way.
They do love treats of carrots, apples and any other fresh fruit and vegetables or if you're really brave monkey nuts!!

Location

Tortosa, Catalunya, Spain

Come and play in our fully equipped, off grid, self contained but cosy caravan.
It has its own private fly free patio/dining area perfect for summer evenings watching neverending ever changing skies.
smoking is permitted but is a massive fire risk so please please be sensible when extinguishing any of your doobs
There is also a traditional brick barbeque on the outside patio next to the dip pool.
The caravan itself has all the basic essentials and amenities you might need bathroom,oven,hob,fridge/freezer,hot and cold water, bed linen, towels, and a few basic toiletries.
Items for tea and coffee making plus a few basic condiments for cooking are included.a travel cot and high chair are available on request.
Around the caravan I am creating an upcycled garden which is fun and quirky and I'm more than happy to let you and your family get creative!!
We are situated between the mountains and the sea. It is not a very touristic area. We are situated near Els Ports .
If you drive to the top of Mount Caro the vista from there is breathtaking ( on a clear day)looking along the River Ebre out to the Delta where there are amazing nature reserves full of flamingoes!!! (Only certain times of the year). Plus numerous other birds.
The area is steeped in history and there are many historical sites and landmarks.
The Ebro is full of outdoor activities.
There are hiking trails and cycle routes.
For the cyclist we highly recommend the Via Verde its a disused railway line which is 170 km long! It can be done in stages and there are the old stations which have been converted to bars and restaurants along the way.plus numerous view points.
Tortosa is a medieval city with a cathedral that has been undergoing a huge restoration over the past few years.
Festivals go on throughout the year in Spain and Catalunya.
A treat for all the senses is the major summer time festival"The Renaissance Festival" where parts of the town are like stepping back in history.
With artesian crafts, ales and traditional foods.( It's usually around the 3rd week of July).
Please remember we are off grid and some electrical items are not allowed .
Hairdryers, straighteners, kettles,Makita drills are not permitted. So go all natural and be free!!
TVs,phones and laptops etc are no problem.
