Our 18th century farmhouse is on a real working farm. Cows & horses graze in pastures behind the Inn. Sequestered in one of the oldest historic areas of the country, we are a short (free) ferry ride across the James River from historic Jamestown & Williamsburg. Agrarian by design, this area has been in cultivation since humans first began to plant seed. We are an hour's drive to Richmond, to Virginia Beach, to Norfolk and less than that on the ferry to Williamsburg.

It was such a privilege to spend the night in a home built in 1740, to stand on a worn stoop where so many have stood before. Our son loved it and saw farm life. It is important to us for him to have a complete education. This definitely was it. We explored everything from…

This is a GREAT historic (1700s) farmhouse that far exceeded our expectations. It was clean and well-provisioned, and felt a little like having privileged access to the cordoned off rooms of a historical museum. For our crew, the beautiful farm was as fun as the house-- we…
