The Space

Below is some more information on my property and please take a look at my web page to see more pictures of the views, gardens, pool and inside the bungalows. The property is 2 1/2 acres of gardens, and views of the world.

It is a short 3 minute walk to the beach thru Villa Amor's stairs and than another few minutes into the center of town along the beach can also go along the other road and it is a 6 to 8 minute walk along the road into town, if you don't want to use the stairs. Villa amor closes its gates at around 11 but the gate is not locked. The bolt might be across it, but it can be opened.
There is now a whole new terrace with a large built in couch, and table and chairs. The bathroom was totally redone with all new tile and it has a amazing ocean view. The King size bed has a large mosquito net over it as well. It is nice as now the you can spend time down stairs on the terrace verses being in the upstairs of the Moroccan, and have your own private area. The downstairs suite is also Air conditioned.

We have a lovely pool as well, with a Bali Bungalow on the grass platform, where you can sit and relax. I have just put in new built in couches, wifi internet and connections to plug in your ipod, computer, etc. It is great place to lay down and read a book or to work on your computer. check out more pictures on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for casa kukana

There are also lawn chairs and umbrellas on the grass platform, next to the pool to relax on and look at the sea and the town of Sayulita...we also have a barbeque that is next to the pool for those nights you might want to have a barbeque outside and enjoy the pool and the warm nights.

It is a five to eight minute walk to town and the local beaches...and if you want privacy you can walk back towards the jungle from my place to Playa de los Muerto's a great beach for swimming, or a 10 minute walk to Carricitos which is a totally incredible place to spend the day....big pools in the rocks to swim in and if you want to sun bathe it is a totally hidden and secluded beach. It is the beach that we always swim at, and we have lived here for a long time....If you do not like to walk or exercise I suggest that you rent a car or a golf cart. I can arrange for you to rent a golf cart, just let me know.

If you are into surfing Sayulita is great for beginners and intermediate... but there are lots of great surf spots near by that we can arrange for you to go for all levels of surfing. There are great Jungle walks and you can go on and you can rent bikes as well. There are also an arrange of jungle tours for those adventurers.

Sayulita now has many more new restaurants to choose from, your local little taco stands to Argentinian food, Chinese food, Italian food, Indian, sushi bar, Vegetarian restaurant and Don Pedro's which is a five star restaurant for that night when you want to take your partner out to eat something (URL HIDDEN) is a very beautiful restaurant on the ocean under a large palapa and very romantic. You can see our "Buddha Spa" which is located at the back of our Buddha Gallery overlooking the sea as well. You can view both of our businesses on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), under "Zen Garden Restaurant and Bar" and "Buddha Gallery and Spa". You can also see more pictures of Casa Kukana on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)

If you have any other questions about Sayulita or Casa Kukana, please do not hesitate to ask and I will get right back to you. I really want your business and you will love Casa Kukana, it is so peaceful and tranquil with the views of the world.

Guest Access

My guests have access to the pool, gardens, and there is also a barbecue for their use.

Interaction with Guests

I always meet my guests when they arrive and establish a relationship so they can ask me any questions they might have about Sayulita and the activities that are available to them.
I live on the property on the top platform so am available if needed. Also my house manager lives at the bottom of the property and is always onsite daily and can help with anything.

The Neighborhood

My neighborhood is which is on the southside of town is great as you get the sunrise and moon rise, with amazing views of the ocean and coast line. We are a also in a part of town where the properties are large, not close to each other, lots of privacy. It is also just a 5 minute walk to the beach and town. The south side also does not get the hot afternoon sun like the North end. The gardens at Casa Kukana are like a botanical garden with lush green grass and flowers everywhere!

Getting Around

If you don't like to walk you can rent a ATV or golf cart to get around. There is a good bus service to Puerto Vallarta if you wanted to go there for the day. Most of my guests just walk everywhere as nothing is far away.
I have a large parking area below for your car of golf cart.
I always recommend that I arrange for a taxi to pick up my guests from the airport as it makes your arrival stress free. They will stop at Mega on the way back to Sayulita so you can get all your supplies for your stay at Casa Kukana. They than bring you directly here and help you with your luggage and groceries.
Otherwise you can also take a bus from the airport, which is about $50 pesos and you are dropped off at the bus stop here in Sayulita and than you can take a taxi up to Casa Kukana.

Other Things to Note

Sayulita is a wonderful Bohemian town right on the sea with so many great things to do, surfing, SUP, jungle bike rides, ATV jungle tours, many Yoga instructors and classes, great restaurants and fun bars at night. Something for everyone!!
As far as great places to eat out.....Don Pedro's restaurant is on the beach and is five star, great views and good food. Sayulita Cafe (authentic Mexican food), Su Casa has the best ribs in town and great nightly live bands, Ivans taco's on the tacos in town. Bicho's has great Mexican food right in back of the Iguana tree, and very reasonably priced.

House Rules

There is no smoking in the bungalows, but there is a large terrace on the Moroccan so you can smoke outside or in the yard.
I would allow a small dog that was well behaved.
The only house rules I have is to be respectful of my property and treat it as your home away from home.
