The space

The house is located in the Unesco Heritage neighborhood of Mangalem. It's the only house with a proper balcony in the neighborhood from which you have amazing views of Mt. Tomorr, the hills around, the river and a bit of Gorica. The house has 3 rooms, from which one is a bedroom, and two sitting areas. The bedroom is small and has 2 single beds. There is a sofa that turns into a double bed in the living room. The house was recently renovated with new ceilings, fresh paint, and new furniture. Please respect the furniture as they are brand new (sitting rooms furniture), the wooden floors, especially in the balcony as it's also brand new, and the neighborhood.
The kitchen has up to date appliances (fridge and stove). There is one bathroom attached to the balcony. The house has a lot of character and is perfect for couples or families who wish to spend a few days in Berat. The wireless internet has recently been updated and works inside and outside in the balcony.
I don't live in Albania, but my brother takes great care of the house as he lives nearby. Upon confirmation of reservation you will receive more information about Berat and what we have to offer during your stay.

Interaction with guests

My brother Dorian will be available to help with any inquiries or emergencies any time. Call his cell ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), or call his land line (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Other things to note

The bathroom is small but fully functional with updated tiles, toilet, shower, and sink. Due to limited space the shower has no curtain and gets the floor wet. Please be careful. The tiles might get slippery. There is a flight of stairs to walk up when entering the main gate.
There is parking down the street by the Edward Lear Gallery.

This is an amazing airbnb! The location is great, the patio area has the most amazing view, and Dorian was so nice and helpful! I'd definitely recommend staying here!

I have enjoyed almost every AirBB I've stayed in around the world (dozens of apartments in over a dozen different countries (with my husband and/or with friends in their rentals) and I have to say that THIS home in Berat was my FAVORITE AirBB property so far! The pictures don't even do it justice. This is the most beautiful old stone house (original Turkish style but renovated with new amenities, of course) in one of the most beautiful (living, thriving, real) old towns I've ever seen. Now, the view... I don't even know where to start! It's THE BEST view I've ever had staying anywhere--panoramic river, city, mountain, village views; it's just unreal. The balcony is just stunning; you have to see it for yourself. Perfect. I didn't want to leave. Plus, Dori--Kristi's brother--who manages the location is so, so helpful. He is very sweet and reliable. He made sure we had all that we needed. Check in was super easy, and he checked in on us often during our stay. Basically, as soon as we got there, we instantly regretted not staying longer. If we hadn't had our next leg of the trip booked already, we would have stayed an extra few days, for sure. I can't recommend this house enough. If you are in Berat, you MUST try to stay here; you won't regret it.

We were there in November, the house is cold and the heat works okay, but not great. The view is amazing. The bathroom is outside the main part of the house, it is enclosed, but cold with no heat at all. The shower completely floods the entire bathroom floor and I had to mop and squeegee the floor for about 10 minutes to get the floor dry. The stove can only have one burner at a time working. The apartment is spacious and the host very helpful. I would not however stay here again.

Don't think twice and book now. This place is amazing! Absolutely beautiful. Better than in the pictures. Definitely a museum house with a very homey feel. Since Kristi was away, her brother Dorian went above and beyond to take care of us. He is my favorite airbnb host so far, and I'm looking forward to visit Berat again and hopefully stay here again. Thank you so much for everything you've done for us Dorian! Greatly appreciated!

Kristi's place was amazing! The pictures do not do the patio or the view justice. The apartment also has lots of space, and is very conveniently located. Dorian, Kristi's brother, let us in and was very helpful and welcoming. We wish we had been able to stay longer.
