Neighborhood highlights

Located in the Black River Valley, Lowville is the County Seat of Lewis County. The community is small and rural, with a population of around 3,300.

Lowville can be a great launch point for Western Adirondack adventures. Unlike the Eastern Adirondacks which are defined by the high peaks region, the Western Adirondacks have vast areas of more flat wilderness. One can launch a canoe or kayak and with a few portages travel for miles and miles.

We're also not far from horse trails, down hill and cross county ski trails, hiking trails as well as motorized trails.

While the Blue Line (border) of the Adirondacks are a stone's throw to the east, the snowy Tug Hill Region is to the west. The Heart of the Tug Hill offers a unique primordial forest experience.

Lots of us working at the Bakery and Roastery at St. Drogo's House are outdoor enthusiasts and we're happy to point you towards our favorite trails.
