Immerse yourself in the middle of nature with a stay in the UFO design cabin. You'll enjoy views of an old spruce forest and a lush green field, the sounds of a nearby creek, and beautiful, minimalist interior design - featuring inbuilt wooden furniture, two decks, and a roof window. Guests have access to a full bathroom/shower/sauna with forest view in the main building. A 5 min drive to 18-hole golf course, ski/running/biking trails, Biathlon stadium, & Lake Höytiäinen.
The space
Note that while the building does have floor heating and electricity, there is not a water connection in the cabin. There is an eco-toilet in the bathroom and you have access to a full spa-quality bathroom in the main house (25 meters away) with a sauna (with forest view), shower, sink, toilet, and a fireplace room for meeting, eating, or hanging out. There is also a side deck you will be able to use.

Very private farm surrounded by forest in a small town near a large lake. 5 min drive from Karelia Golf (18-hole golf course), mountain biking/running/ski trails, Kontiolahti Biathlon stadium and Lake Höytiäinen. 20 min from Joensuu train station/airport and 40 minute drive to Koli National Park.

My work: Edtech+ architecture
For several years, I've been passionate about discovering stories, histories, and a personal view of the world through everyday objects. A couple of years ago my friend Liisa and I founded an alternative travel agency that aimed at exploring the concept local luxuries by developing and curating a collection of lifestyle products and services. Our motto was "Walk towards yourself". First we built a website called Nopsa Travels that publishes free easily accessible city and countryside routes in Helsinki. Second, we opened a Fashion Library that allowed its members to borrow and use items from over 40 Finnish fashion designers. As it happens, Liisa and I both moved to California, and I decided to take the good learnings from the Fashion Library and convert my house into a "Nopsa House" that would offer a new way for discovering art and design in travel.
