Brand new, tiny-home style house. 200 sq ft on main floor with sleeping loft above the covered porch. Full bath with standing tile shower. Full-size (not queen, but enough for 2) bed in loft. Pull out, full-size bed in the polka-dot sleeper sofa.
Bamboo floors & reclaimed wood stairs.
No kitchen, but has a microwave for heating up leftovers, water, or popcorn. Wifi.
This is one block off Mississippi Ave, with many bars, restaurants, and one of the best coffee shops (Fresh Pot) in Portland. A block away from Amnesia Brewing and Grand Central bakery. 10 minute walk from the Yellow Line MAX (Overlook station.) Mississippi Studios is right down the street- a fantastic venue for local and traveling bands.
PLEASE NOTE: The stair-ladder to the loft is extremely steep and not recommended for anyone who does not have good mobility- or if you've been drinking. FACE the ladder going up and down, just like any ladder. It's decorated to look like a stair, but it's steep! Be safe and don't hurt yourself- you're on vacation, after all.
Electronic door lock. We'll send you a code a day or two beforehand.
Very little. But if you need help, or advice on where to eat or anything, feel free to text/call/email.
Yes- the bus line (the 4 Fessenden) runs within a block and the yellow line MAX Overlook stop is a 7-10 minute walk. (check out TriMet website for directions and info.)

Rick and the Little Green House made our visit to Portland easy and fun. The house is conveniently located off Mississippi, a few feet from great food, beer, and shops. The 4 bus is also close so parking your car (which was also very easy) and not having to drive again during your trip is no problem. The house worked well for us as a couple - it was spotless and well-designed. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend this booking for a visit to Portland where you get to stay in a fun neighborhood and a cool house. The ladder to the bedroom was no problem and Rick had very thoughtfully put fans there that keot the house lovely when it got hot outside. Wifi, small fridge, great shower, comfy bed. All was great. Plus, how many places do you stay in have a lovely garden growing on the slanted roof?'
Really nice neighborhood. When you like to have your brewery around the corner, then that's the perfect spot to stay. Although I would not use the stairs after two beers ;).
We just loved the little green house. We stayed 3 nights and found the house to be exactly what we needed. We were mostly off running around Portland all day but the house was a great little place to come too and located in a great part of town.
The best part of this place is the neighbourhood. It's a block away from brew pubs, restaurants, shops, and bars. The place itself is small but functional and well equipped considering there is no kitchen. The ladder is fun to climb!
Quick trip down to Portland for a girl's weekend. Rented the Little Green House from Rick. It (email hidden) to stay. Rick was immediately available the one time I had a question. The house was completely charming and in the absolute BEST location! I highly recommend.
Loved staying in The Little Green House. Rick + his lovely wife have an amazing thing going here! Super fab accommodations. Hip location. He was a very helpful host. This is our new option for lodging when we visit PDX. We will be back!
(email hidden)! New, clean and well kept. I was staying in Portland (Alberta area) to visit my daughter. I wanted to stay close to her. The house was perfect for me. centrally located, walking distance to Mississippi area! Would stay again. The bed was not a problem going up and down the steep stairs to the loft. Thanks great house.
Incredible location close to a lot of restaurants, shops, and pubs. I really enjoyed staying in the house and the neighborhood. The host was excellent communicating information about check-in and check-out and was available for questions, although I didn't need to ask any because everything was flawless.
The house was comfortable and perfect for one person. It's very clean and modern with lots of windows for a nice breeze. The wifi worked very well. Everything for my needed stay was provided (towels, cups, plates, utensils, etc, along with a roomy refrigerator). I also happened to visit during the rose festival and roses and peonies were in bloom and they were everywhere.
The Little Green House (email hidden) to stay! Great location right off Mississippi and the house itself had everything we needed and was very clean. Check-in is super easy because Rick sends you the door code a few days in advance. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed at this tiny house on very short notice, is right in the Mississippi district, great walkability! I liked the layout of the tiny house, well setup (but no stove if you are wanting to actually cook, which I was not...)
There was a slight check-in snafu probably due to my very short notice, the owner handled it quite well so all was good.
