We've been locals in the area for a number of years, and are happy to give you pointers on the best places to eat, easiest ways to get in and out of the festivals, and will be easily contactable if you have any questions.
Location: Just 4km's from the new Splendour in the Grass site at the North Byron Parklands, and only 8km's down the highway to the Bluesfest site. We are closer to both festivals than Byron Bay, and far more convenient, with none of the issues of late night after-parties, and easy access to the relaxed villages of Brunswick Heads and Mullumbimby. You can even walk to the historic Billinudgel pub for an ale before catching the bus to the festivals.
Eric was a great host! Easily contactable and tried his best to make sure we had a great time whilst attending falls festival. He left us fresh milk, bread and fruit for our arrival. The house was in a good spot for the festival. About 10 mins walk to the bus route. Chickens and big yard are a bonus. I would defiantly recommend staying at this house for your festival stay.
Eric and Angela made organising our trip very easy. The house was lovely, especially the enormous back yard and the chickens. It was very clean and nice and quiet at night. We would definitely consider staying again for another festival. Unfortunately the festival shuttle no longer stopped up the road (or at least we couldn't find it), so having a car was really helpful, if not necessary.
