Master bedroom and private bath on second floor of beautiful four bedroom four bathroom home in downtown DC. Downstairs common area is shared with guests.

The bedroom is clean with hardwood floors, a KING-SIZED hardwood sleigh bed, High definition widescreen television with access to terrestrial digital network and Netflix (No cable or DirecTV) and beautiful furniture. The bed is an awesome sleep. Windows are double treated with wood and honeycomb window blinds. The room can be as dark or as light as you desire.

The bathroom is super nice with light green marble floors, walls and white marble sink. Jacuzzi tub,a unique double Speakman faucet for super showers, everything is designed for simple, solid and effective living while you stay here.

Downstairs common area is awesome with a huge great room floor-plan, large kitchen with brand new appliances. Freshen up your wardrobe with our steam setting on the washer dryer.

The location is superb: one block from Shaw Howard metro, ten minutes or less walk to Convention Center, Logan Circle, Bloomingdale, U Street corridor food, and music clubs (including the 9:30 Club) and plenty of nightlife. Dunkin Donuts is a block away, 7Eleven a couple in the other direction, one of the best thai places, chinese take out and middle eastern fare all within a block walk from the house.

  • My stay was brief and I didn't get the pleasure to meet the hosts, but the house and room were immaculate. It felt like staying in a classy B&B. The extra steps taken by the hosts in their welcome package and personal notes in the home and room showed above and beyond service. Would stay here again for sure.

  • Great space and super accommodating!
I was in a real bind (as another reservation had canceled on me last minute) and Bryan was very quick to respond. Chris and Bryan had recently played host to many others immediately before me, but you wouldn't have noticed! The room was fresh, comfortable and private.
In the rush of my same day travel and rapid nature of the reservation, I failed to respond w/the exact time that I would arrive (sorry Bryan!) and still Bryan welcomed me gladly and had everything set-up nicely. He even took the time to get acquainted briefly and offered a drink - that was unexpected and very kind.

  • I had a warm welcome in Washington by Chris & Brian. Hope they find my pink diary, but maybe I left it on the plane :(

  • We had a really great stay at Chris and Bryan's place. They made us feel right at home. The room is clean and looks just like the pictures. Thank you for being such great hosts and we are looking forward to our move to DC.

  • My stay was perfect! The room is an 'executive' suite within a home. Very clean with a very nice work desk. Bathroom is impeccable with a clean ambience. Thank you, Bryan for the travel tips and for being there. It was very nice to chat with you. Thank you, Chris for a flawless stay.

  • Chris and Bryan are awesome hosts, and made my wife and I felt completely at home during the two months we spent at their place. The left us completely free to make ourselves comfortable, and to use their amazing living room (with an equally amazing couch + TV) and amazing kitchen (with correspondingly amazing utensils and equipment). They were also extremely flexible in trying to solve a misunderstanding caused by me, when I misread the posting at AirBnb, doing whatever was in their reach to make us comfortable.
Chris and Bryan are also very nice and interesting people, and my wife and I really look forward to meeting them again in the future!

  • A good place in a central location to explore DC with only a short walk to Metrostation.
The neighborhoud is fine, only the road in front of the house is kind of noisy, its one of the bigger roads with lots of traffic. But with closed windows and earplugs we did sleep well, the bed is huge and super comfortable,

We liked the room and bathroom, both nicely done and clean.

The rooms downstairs needed just a little improvement when it comes to cleanliness, but it was ok for me. With several roommates you don't have the kitchen usually as organized and clean compared to a "classical housewife".

We met Chris and his dog, both easygoing and everyone in the house was friendly and helpful.

  • Chris room was great. The bed was super nice, the room was clean and the communication went without any problem. Chris is really friendly and I loved staying at his place.

  • I really enjoyed my time in Washington at Chris' place. He was so helpful and open-hearted and even gave me a short historical overview of the city. Would definitely come back!

  • Chris is an awesome host and a pretty darn cool housemate, too. Looking forward to seeing more of him and the house!

Hi! I am a long time resident of DC, but travel a bit. Professionally I have been invoved with internet start ups in one way or another since the first internet bubble-bust. I founded a pretty popular music podcast network called IndieFeed, and most recently a service called HugeFan. The first one went smashingly good, the following one just kind of smashed. Now I am taking a new fork in the road with a new consumer product for people who have and admire beards. Like me. I developed Beardashery No. 1 beard oil, and it is sold online and in select salons like DC's Logan 14 Aveda Salon & Spa. Now I get to say things like "ask for it by name!" and "Yes I do recommend a gift for that hard-to-please bearded guy." :) I love meeting people and connecting everyone, and this space is a part of this exciting hobby :) So it's helpful to know who I am dealing with. It helps me to deliver on expectations and to assess a successful match. So, filling-out your profile plus information about your planned stay prioritizes your request above the others.
