Where you’ll be

Sandwich, New Hampshire, United States

Our neighborhood is very quiet, a magical woodland setting in a rural area, with few houses. At night you can year the owls year-round, and in the summer you can hear the loons' call from the lake. We have no street lights or light pollution, and so the night sky view is breathtaking.

We are the Hird family, proudly carrying on the small family farm tradition. We raise Romney-Horned Dorset and Merino sheep, and chickens on the northern slope of Red Hill. We produce eggs as well as raw and processed wool for felting and handspinning. It is our pleasure to share the natural beauty and tranquility of our home above Squam Lake with our guests. Why "Partridge Hill" Farm? Partridges were introduced here from Britain more than a century ago, and are thriving in the wild alongside the native grouse. And Juli's Hill family ancestors were among the first Scots-Irish to settle here. Cead mile failte!
