★ About us:
We are a couple (French & Cook Islander/New Zealander). We're both easy-going with a sense of humour (including the 'French humour') and enjoy relaxing. We're both currently working so you will have privacy during your stay. We both are fluent in English & Pierre has some notions of Spanish and German.
Unfortunately we had some problems with early check ins and late check outs, so please understand we cannot offer those.
As a reminder, this is a listing for a private room with a real bed (as you will see on description), this means it is our spare bedroom we are offering to the guests and we share the rest of the apartment (including bathroom). I just wanted to point it out, as we've had some questions about this. If you need a place by yourself, you need to select the "entire apartment" option in your search ;-)

María and I had a fantastic stay in Paris at the Love Nest. Pierre & Duncan were perfect hosts (both speak English), everything was as smooth and as easy as we could have wish for with our first Airbnb experience. The room is exactly as described and in a great location to explore some interesting parts of the city along with the usual tourist spots. There are some amazing places to eat nearby too. The tour of the local area from Pierre on our arrival was a welcome bonus and the breakfast was worth the extra few euros to get our day started! I'd definitely recommend the Velib bicycles as an exciting and fun way to get about in Paris or the metro is just a short walk away from the apartment too. Thank you for a great weekend!
Hey David & Maria,
I must say not many tourists feel confident enough to hire the bikes, but it's definitely my favorite way of transport in Paris too.
Glad you enjoyed your stay and the breakfasts, it was lovely little chats in the morning.
Take care, Pierre & Duncan.
Pierre and Duncan were the perfect hosts for my first trip to Paris! Extremely welcoming and helpful with tips about how to get around and the best way to see the necessary sights. Immediately upon my arrival I was given a walking tour of the neighborhood which helped me get my bearings. And I was also shown some of their favorite neighborhood restaurants which was nice. I chose the breakfast option which was a fantastic way to start the day. Fresh croissant and coffee and good conversation with my host :). The room was perfectly appointed and very clean and comfortable. It felt like a hotel! It was situated at the front of the apartment so it was very private. Also, the wifi signal was very strong (very important to me when traveling).
I highly recommend staying at the Love Nest for anyone traveling to Paris and will definitely be staying on my next trip!
I felt at home as soon as I stepped into the Love Nest. Pierre and Duncan were both super friendly and full of attentions. The room is great, well decorated , the bed is very comfy and the flat is well located next to Republic. Will definitely go back! Merci x
I had a lovely stay with Pierre and Duncan, and I would highly recommend their place! Everything was perfect! The flat is beautifully decorated, the room is a good size, nice size bed, with a view of the street, and very comfortable. They prepared a beautiful French breakfast for me each morning. The location is great - centrally located, and right down the street from the metro station. Pierre and Duncan are both lovely - very welcoming, and helped me out with local information and what to do in Paris, as this was my first time visiting France! I would stay here again when I return to Paris. Thank you again for everything!
My stay with Pierre and Duncan was great! They are both incredibly gracious hosts. They made me feel very welcome and right at home. Their flat is wonderful with plenty of space and the room is very comfortable and actually a little larger than I expected. I cannot say enough good things about these two! I highly recommend staying with them and I definitely will the next time I visit Paris!
Pierre and Duncan, thank you so much for a very nice time in your lovely apartment! I had a lot of fun with my daughter and the location was perfect for seeing her and Paris. But I did, indeed, make my card go hot!
Staying here was amazing! Pierre and Duncan were so friendly, helpful, and an absolute treat to be around!
I am very happy with my choice. The apartment is situated in a quiet side street and close to Place de la République. A great spot from where it is easy to conquer the city. Duncan and Pierre are relaxed and the perfect hosts. The apartment is very clean and nicely furnished. All in all great value for money. And yes, I will come back.
We had a great time staying with Duncan and Pierre. They were both very accomodating and had plenty of suggestions for places to eat, drink and visit based on our interests. As well as just being really fun people to have long conversations with. Their flat is in a vibrant part of the city and we really enjoyed the closeness of the canal and bars and resturaunts around it. What made this place really stand out from every where we've stayed is really good pillows, towels and linen which after 6 weeks of travelling was just a godsend. Not to mention the great breakfast spread every morning which started our days off perfectly. Will definitley be staying here again when inParis
What an awesome couple to spend time with. So vibrant you both suit this area from the macaron burgers right down to the canal! Hope you 'scouting' trip to Paris was all you wanted and I have no doubt you will both be back, if only just for the Vintage Bar or bookshop down the road. Take care..
Every started with great conversation and a small breakfast that Duncan or Pierre had put together for us. The neighborhood was awesome, and they recommended several good restaurants to us. Sweet people. Adorable room. Locations and people like this is what makes Airbnb worth using.
