About this listing

Half the year, we travel the globe with For 91 Days, and rent out our private apartment in the heart of Valencia whenever we're away. Located in the historic center, with a terrace overlooking the city, it's the perfect base for Fallas!

The space

This is our private apartment, which we rent out to visitors for about half of the year. We spend a lot of time traveling the world, and enjoy welcoming people into our home when we're not using it. Our apartment is very central, with a great terrace overlooking rooftops and church towers. It's perfectly located for Fallas; just a short walk to the daily mascletas, but it's quiet at night, so you can get some rest.

Guest access

The apartment measures 84m², plus a 15m² terrace. We do keep a small (7m²) room locked, as storage for our clothes and personal effects, but this is the only inaccessible part of the apartment.

Interaction with guests

We'll likely be on the road, but we have wonderful friends who will be there to greet you, give you the keys and advice, and who will be on-call for any problems you might have during your stay.

The neighborhood

The apartment is found in La Xerea, which is part of Valencia's historic center. This neighborhood is great, because you're close to all the downtown sights such as the Mercado Central and the Plaza de la Virgen, as well as the Turia Riverbed Park. And despite being so central, it also manages to be a quiet, residential area.

Getting around

The apartment is minutes from a subway stop (Colón), and there are a ton of bus connections around the corner. There are a number of bicycle rental shops nearby, and two stations for Valencia's bike-sharing program Valenbisi. And given our central location, walking is likely to be the quickest way to see most of the city's highlights!

Other things to note

This isn't just a normal vacation rental, but our private home. We have high-quality appliances in the kitchen, a comfy bed, a nice big TV, a record player, and a game system, because these are the things we want for ourselves. We think you'll enjoy the place as much as we do.

House Rules

The apartment is in a building with regular long-term residents, so please be respectful of neighbors -- no parties, nor loud music after 10pm.

Building administration prohibits leaving bicycles in the hallway, and we will be fined for any infraction.

There is AC and heating in both the living room and bedroom; we ask that you shut the machines off, before leaving the apartment.

Smoking inside is not allowed, but you can smoke on the terrace.

That's it! We hope you feel as comfortable in our home, as you do in yours!

I'm a professional traveler, moving around the world three months. My partner and I write about our experiences on a blog called For 91 Days.

We're based in Valencia, Spain, but since we're on the road for most of the year, we like to rent our apartment to other travelers.
