Located in quiet Talmaciu, only 20 minutes away from Sibiu, this country home is particularly suited to families and friend groups! The property features two double bedrooms, chic bathroom, modern kitchen, spacious dining room, summer terrace and an authentic Romanian small holding and lush garden.

The villa is its own building and is fully available to guests: the hosts live in a separate building on the same property.

The space
This is a country home on a quiet residential property of two houses. Guests have the entire house to themselves. The property looks out on a quiet road, the yard and garden and impressive mountains nearby.

Guest access
Guests can enjoy the main house to themselves, including its kitchen, dining room and coffee corner, bathroom and outside terrace. The yard is also fully accessible, but shared with our child-friendly dog Bella. The property boasts an impressive garden from which we source our own vegetables and fruit for house-made breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as jams and preserves. We are happy to offer guests house-made dishes against a small fee.

Other things to note
The terrace and wine-cellar are also fully accessible to our guests. Dan prepares his own wines and drinks in traditional oak barrels and is happy to introduce guests to house-made wines, ports and traditional Romanian Țuică. The house also holds a small-holding. We have free-range chickens and ducks confined to a small holding within the garden. Guests are able to view this and access it upon request.

The house is located in a quiet residential area in a small town, next to the Orthodox and Lutheran churches.

We are located at the top of the Olt valley right at the Cibin valley - this is impressive and beautiful to drive or walk through and we recommend our guests plan on exploring it.

Sibiu, Europe's Cultural Capital from 2007, is only a 20 minute drive away and easily accessible by train or car. Noteworthy sights include the Brukenthal Museum, the Astra Museum of Romanian Popular Traditions and Art, Cisnadioara village, the Romanian-Orthodox, German-Lutheran and Greek-Catholic Cathedrals among others. Nearby sights such as the Balea Lake, Fagaras Citadel and Sighisoara are also easily accessible and at most 2 hours drive away.
