This flat embodies my Parisian dream. It's central (Rive Gauche, Denfert-Rochereau) in a lovely area, has a view on the roofs of the city (amazing morning and sunset lights). I redesigned it to make it trendy, warm, very convenient.

The space
One thing I particularly love here is that there's nearly no vis-à-vis, you can't hear the neighbours and they can't hear you : this lofty studio on the Paris roofs is basically a little haven, and heaven for that matter.

Other things to note
Note that the great rooftop view comes with a sixth floor with no lift. It's an easy climb (to me, it feels less strenuous than a 3d floor in, say, Berlin), but bear that in mind if you're carrying very heavy luggage.

Neighborhood highlights

Besides the fact that this area is very central and totally classy in a cool way, Denfert-Rochereau and the 14th district/arrondissement in general (including the Alesia and Hallé boroughs too) is a part of Paris loved by many artists and musicians (from Brassens to Serge Gainsbourg, Agnès Varda and many more). It's lively and peaceful at the same time, aerated yet bustling, full of lovely things to see and do, of lovely walks to take, of good places to eat of all sorts, of history. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, compared to other boroughs of the capital, neighbourly I'd say.
As a classic Rive Gauche, Sorbonne student kind of girl, I made sure I was a few minutes or bus stations away from the Quartier Latin and the Jardin du Luxembourg, as well as the Saint-Sulpice/Saint-German-des-Prés area, but I'm also very close to Montparnasse... The convenient public transport situation does the rest (because it is on a major axis in the capital, so all even nightbuses land right at my door).
